================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
There are a variety of methods for installing hardwood
flooring. The nail down technique of laying hardwood floors has
become very popular. For those learning how to install hardwood
floor, there's no simpler or straightforward technique than the
nail down technique.
Unlike other methods which basically require you to be an
amateur carpenter or even a professional carpenter, the nail
down method on how to install hardwood flooring can be
accomplished by anyone who can swing a hammer. Well, that's not
all it takes.
You also have to be persistent, patient, and willing to try new
things if you want to learn how to install hardwood floor. Also,
you need to be willing to read the safety instructions that come
with the tools you'll be using.
-Tools You'll Need as Your Learn How to Install Hardwood Floor
Panels
Broom and Dust Pan - You need to clean up constantly as you
learn how to install hardwood floor to make sure no dirt,
sawdust, or other debris get caught in between the grooves or
under the boards.
Carpenter's Crayon - Use this to create guidelines on your sub
floor. You'll also need it to draw lines where you'll cut your
hardwood panels.
Claw Hammer - Any areas near obstacles or walls where you can't
get enough space to swing a rubber mallet will have to be
reached with your claw hammer.
Cutter Knife - Use this often for unforeseen activities
involved as you learn how to install hardwood floor. But the
main purpose of this device will be to cut out any excess wood
when adjustments of only a millimeter or two need to be made.
Electric Drill and 3/32" Drill Bit - Use this to drill your
pilot holes, which should be slightly smaller in length and
circumference than your nails. This will prevent your flooring
panels from cracking when you put the nails in them.
Hardwood Flooring Nails (2") - These nails are important
because they will be what hold your floor in place.
Nailer - This can either be a hammer or pneumatic nail gun. The
pneumatic nail gun is obviously faster and easier, but you have
to get it calibrated just right so that the nails don't go too
far down into the wood and destroy your hardwood panels.
Rubber Mallet - This is your chance to pound your frustrations
out as you learn how to install hardwood floor. Actually, you
should pound them out gently to bring the surfaces of the two
panels together perfectly. You don't want to get them too far
apart or your floor will have crevices. But if you pound them
too hard together, you can damage them or push them so far
together as to bow them.
Circular Saw - At the end of each row of boards as you go into
the corner, you will need to cut your floor panels to fit. Any
fixtures in the room will also have to be cut around.
-Preparing to Install Hardwood Floor Panels
Although the nail down method of installing hardwood floor
panels is pretty simple, it should still be done carefully as
the hardwood floor has to endure for many years in whatever form
you complete it.
All of the furniture and obstacles that can be removed from the
room should be removed while you install your hardwood floor
panels. This is true even if it requires manual dismantling and
reassembly. For those fixtures build into the floor of the room,
you'll just have to panel around them.
It's not the easiest way to go, but you have to do what you
have to do to get your hardwood floor installed. If you have
door sills, an old hardwood floor, baseboards, or carpet, remove
them before you begin as well.
If the surface beneath where you will be flooring is cement or
any other lumpy material, use a felt floor liner to cover this
surface. Then install a plywood sub-floor over it. Once laid,
you should be ready to begin installing the hardwood floor.
-Steps on How to Install Hardwood Floor Panels
1. Put your first floor panel in the corner of the room in
which you have decided to start your flooring. The grooves
should be toward the wall and the tongues should be toward the
room.
2. Start adding panels to make a row. The last panel shouldn't
quite fit right, so you'll have to use that carpenter's crayon
to mark where to cut it. Use your circular saw to cut it. Be
very careful not to cut it too small. The fitting needs to be
just about perfect.
3. Use your drill to make your little pilot holes. Put the
nails in to fasten your floor down. Though it will take longer,
you'll be thankful when you're done if you used pilot holes when
you're learning how to install hardwood floor.
4. Grab the other half of the panel you cut off the row you
just completed and use it as the starting point for the next
row. This will seem strange at first, but when the floor is
completed, the offset of the boards will look really nice.
Additionally, if all of your boards matched up, the floor won't
have interlocked strength.
5. Continue on doing this as you go through the remaining rows.
Use the rubber mallet as necessary to make the boards and rows
nice and snug. When the rubber mallet won't fit, use the claw
hammer to pull the boards tight. The last things you need are
some giant crevices between your boards when you've finished
your new hardwood floor.
6. The last panel is the hardest one to get put in place, but
your floor will look really awful if you hurry at this step. You
need to patiently measure, cut, and make your last panel fit.
7. Clean the floor you just laid.
-Cleaning Up After You Install Hardwood Floor Panels
In the process of how to install hardwood floors, cleaning up
is important and overlooked enough to warrant its own follow-up
section. But unlike other nail down method guides on how to
install hardwood floor panels, we want to make sure you
understand this step.
Cleaning up is important because there are little wood chips
and saw dust everywhere after the typical hardwood floor
installation. Use your broom and dust pan to pick up any debris
on the floor. These particles, if walked on and rubbed on by
furniture, can make your brand new floor look like a scratched
up old floor pretty quickly.
Unless you went beyond the instructions on how to install
hardwood floors and used glue on your hardwood panels, there's
no need to get your floor wet before it has had a chance to
settle. This is because you don't want it to swell before you've
moved the furniture back in and given it a couple days to get
itself in its final arrangement.
-Special Tips Add-On on How to Install Hardwood Floor Panels
Don't get too aggressive when putting your hardwood flooring in
place. It's very easy to ruin the surface of floor panels when
they're floating freely and you're placing them and pounding on
them. Be especially careful when fixing a row that looks a
little bit off.
If your rubber mallet is sturdy enough, it'll be the best thing
to put nails in because it won't do as much damage to the
surface of your floor panels.
Your nailed down floor probably isn't going to be quite as nice
as the one installed by a professional. On the other hand, it's
going to look pretty nice on its own. It will probably be about
the nicest looking job an inexperienced hardwood floor installer
can do. And if you change your mind about the floor, it's one of
the easiest hardwood floor installation methods to undo.
But besides being easy to install and uninstall, nailed down
hardwood floor has some usage advantages over other types. The
main advantage to keep in mind is that a glued down floor is
rigid; once a floor panel is dried in place, it's there for good
whether it's snug to the next panel over or not. The loose floor
isn't attached to anything and can be creaky, bubbly, and move
around. So enjoy your new well-fixed hardwood floor.

A Polar Bear Speaks
I am Nanook. At least that's what the Eskimos call me. You
probably know me better as the polar bear. I also go by the
name of ice bear or sea bear.
I'm famous all over the world but especially in Canada
where they even have my image on the back of their 2 dollar
coin. That's probably because 60 percent of my extended
polar bear family lives there. The rest of them live in
Alaska, Norway, Greenland and Russia.
I earn my living in the freezing polar seas and can swim up
to 60 miles at a time but recently I've had a hard time
finding the ice packs I depend on to rest during those long
swims. More and more of my brothers have died this way
lately, hunting and foraging for food to feed their
families.
Unlike you land dwellers, we polar bears are marine
animals. We need the ice packs to hunt for ring seals,
mate, raise our young and take a break on our forages for
food. Ring seals as you may or may not know, also live on
the Arctic ice and make up the bulk of our diet. There's
not as many of them as there used to be so we go hungry for
longer periods of time. Without them we literally starve
since other food is so scare in the Arctic.
It's getting tougher and tougher these days to find ice
packs. I don't know very much about science but I hear
people talking about global climate change or something
like that and how it's causing my Arctic home to shrink. I
don't know about that, but I can tell you that my swims are
longer and I'm not as heavy as I once was because of it.
Humans are always trying to take weight off but we polar
bears need it to survive the freezing temperatures and cold
water we live in so we need large bodies with lots of fat.
When we feed ourselves, we purposely eat the blubber of the
seals in order to gain lots of weight and add insulation to
our bodies. A fat bear is able to survive better in our
icy, watery world.
Like you, we're mammals but we differ in many ways and live
in places that most people usually avoid visiting. Maybe
that's why some people don't seem to care about what's
happening to us. It's hard to relate to us since you might
only have seen us in a zoo and not our natural home where
we're renowned as kings.
We're having fewer babies too. My mate can only give birth
once every three years and since I'm spending more and more
time looking for a meal, we've been missing the mating
season so we haven't had kids for awhile.
If you haven't guessed by now, polar bears can't really
speak. But if I could I would stand up for myself in the
governments and legislatures of the world and tell them
what's going on in my Arctic homeland.
Bears drowning, bears being hunted for sport, infants
starving, pollution of waters and the animals I feed on,
polar bear cannibalism, bears so thin you can see their
bones through their fur, bears forced to scavenge around
human settlements for scraps of food instead of hunting on
the ice packs that were so plentiful once upon a time.
All these things I didn't cause and can't control add up to
a life that's full of misery and despair. It's almost not
worth living unless something can be done soon to offset
the damage from humans and the effects of global climate
change.
What can be done about it? I don't know. I'm only a bear
and have no rights in human courts. I don't read, I don't
write and can't stand up for myself. I can't march in a
rally or sign a petition. If I could, believe me I would.
Since I can't do any of of these things myself, would you
do it for me?
Won't you at least sign a petition to let authorities like
the government of Canada know that you care about me and
want something done about my situation as soon as possible?
If you help me, you'll be helping lots of other Arctic
animals too since they're feeling the same effects. If
something isn't done now, humans will eventually also face
the devastation that global climate change causes.
No one can stop climate change but something needs to be
done to reduce the impact and lessen the misery it causes.

The Great Tradition of Afternoon Tea
Almost anyone who drinks tea has their own idea about the tea
tradition of Afternoon Tea. It's an event celebrated through
decades of British poetry, books, and movies, and is an event
known around the world as a result. However, few Americans
understand the history of this experience and its origins, and
therefore they understand little of its true significance.
The History
The 7th Duchess of Bedford, Anna Maria, a lady-in-waiting to
Queen Victoria, is reputed to have begun the tradition. Because
Victorian dinners were often served "fashionably late" she would
begin to feel hunger pains around five in the afternoon. Rather
than waiting until dinner to satisfy her hunger, she asked her
butler to have tea served in the late afternoon accompanied by
bread and butter and a few cakes or biscuits. It satisfied her
to the degree that she soon made it a habit, even inviting her
friends to join her in the sitting room for the event. When
Queen Victoria herself adopted the practice, the tradition
became even more popular. As tea eventually became more
affordable, the middle class was able to join in on this ritual
dessert tea as well, and when that occurred, the event quickly
became an activity enjoyed by all.
Of course, this is a well known and respected tradition in the
United Kingdom, and it is really a light meal. References to low
tea and high tea have little to do with the elegance of this
popular tea service. The terms low tea and high tea have more to
do with the height of the surface on which tea is served than
whether it is elegant or inelegant.
In fact, Afternoon tea can be very elegant. It is traditionally
served between two and five in the afternoon and may include
finger sandwiches, scones, jams, cakes, and even assorted
pastries. It might very well be served on a low table in the
sitting room or even the bedroom, hence the term "low tea."
Traditionally, only loose tea is served in a china teapot,
possibly accompanied by milk and sugar. Occasionally, even more
elaborate desserts such as trifle, a multi-layered cake, are
served as well. Afternoon Tea is usually served in the more
formal rooms of the house rather than the kitchen, and this
elegant treat is accompanied by the best linens, fine china and
silver teapots.
High Tea
As I mentioned, high tea is a different tea service. High tea
is really an early evening meal, and generally occurs between
the later hours of 5 and 6 o'clock. It typically consists of
cold meats, eggs, cakes and sandwiches and is a more formal
event. Because of the type of foods served tends to be served on
the table regularly used for meals, a higher table, and hence
the term "high tea."
Which Type of Tea?
When it comes to what tea should be served at Afternoon Tea,
there are many choices. Often, the hostess makes the tea using
an electric kettle to boil the water. Because the water is just
off the boil when it is poured over the tea more flavor is
extracted. It also effectively reduces the time it takes to
actually brew the tea.
The longer you brew tea, the more the tannin will be dissolved,
and the tea will taste less bitter. Full leaf tea will also
taste better because full leaf loose tea is not as broken as
some of the the tea you might find in teabags which often
include finely ground tea dust called fannings. Keep in mind
that if you do use loose tea, you will need to use a tea
strainer to keep from getting tea leaves in your cup. On the
other hand, tea leaves in your Afternoon Tea cup gives you the
opportunity to give a tea leaf reading, but that's for another
article. Tea is a delicious beverage that is enjoyed around the
world and in many cultures. Why don't you brew a nice steaming
"cuppa" today.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was 19 years old, and a
friend of mine invited me to an Amway meeting.
I had no idea what I was going to, however it sounded like an
opportunity of a life time so I was off to Marina Del Ray
California to the see the "BIG SHOW", and find out what all the
excitement was about.
I remember this guy in about his early 50's standing on stage
with all these products, and a chalk board.
He talked about the magnificent product line, one being a
cleaner that could clean anything from your carpet to the
kitchen sink!
I then watched him talk about the opportunity behind these
products, and I was thinking: this is my ticket to financial
freedom!
Ok, he finally finished with the crowd clapping wildly, and him
mentioning that we should discuss this "once in a lifetime"
opportunity with the person who brought us.
I walked out of the building with all types of possibilities
swirling in my head, however I was more realistic than most,
because I knew how hard marketing any product or service can be.
Mind you, I grew up making extra money for summer and school
going "door to door" (hitting over 150 homes a day) generating
leads for a home improvement company, so I knew it was no easy
task to get people to make a decision and say "YES" to your
offer.
I got so good at it that I eventually ran a whole crew for that
company.
Anyway... I just kept thinking about the awesome power of
leveraging time, money, and people in order to generate a true
"walk away" income.
I thought... "I'm on my way!"
My friend and I, plus the person who invited him to the
opportunity meeting went to a restaurant to discuss our future
with the business.
My friend's companion sat us down and "wined and dined" us, so
to speak (I think it was a Dennys restaurant where no alcohol
was served, so we were safe). He proceeded to ask us about our
dreams and what we wanted to do three to five years from now.
We had a brief discussion, and after we ate, we were off to our
cars. Just as we were going to leave, the guy who had invited us
to dinner asked us to join the opportunity right then and there!
I didn't know what to say. I had no funds on me, and at the
time I didn't even own a credit card.
I said I would think about it, however my buddy, and his friend
bought a starter kit ( I think it was around $90.00 at the time)
right on the spot!
I wasn't sure what just happened, but as we were driving back
to the San Fernando Valley (just North of Los Angeles) all I
could hear was my buddy and his friend talking about how they
were going to be sitting pretty in three to five years, and they
were wondering if I was going to join them.
I said sure, I'll talk to my Dad, and I think he will loan me
the money to get started.
They said great, and we were happily on our way home.
REALITY STRIKES
The next day, I talked to my Dad about the opportunity, and let
him know I needed $90.00 to get started - I wanted in.
He said he didn't think it would be a good idea. I asked him
why. He told me it was not a legitimate business, and I would be
wasting my time and money. I was dejected, and that was that...
I monitored the progress of my friend in the business and asked
him how he was doing?
This was a week after the meeting, and he hadn't even opened
the $90.00 "business in a box" yet!
I asked him, why? He said he was going to get around to it.
Another week goes by, and I ask him again how the business was
going, and he asked me if I wanted the box, because he wasn't
interested anymore.
I just looked at him stunned, and said "no thanks".
I moved on...
Three years later...
A friend of my Dad invites us to his home for what my Dad
thinks is just a friendly get together, and asks me to go with
him. I said sure Dad.
It's a Thursday night (I think), and we get there around 7pm.
We walk in, and there are all these chairs in the living room,
and a chalk board set up.
I was thinking (here I am again, another opportunity meeting!)
My Dad was cool about it, but not too happy to be "taken" so to
speak. However, he went through the motions of the meeting, and
that was that.
I, on the other hand, had the same old thoughts of major
possibility swirling even stronger this time in my brain, and I
just had to do it this time!
I had the funds, and my Dad wasn't going to stop me.
I joined his friend's downline, and went to work.
Boy was it work! I didn't know what I was getting into, but I
thought I was ready.
I drew circles, I went to meetings, I set up meetings at my
parents home, (they left while this was happening).
I even had two people walk out right in the middle of my
sponsor drawing circles (they where co-workers at the time from
a Vons super market where I was working).
Oh, did I mention they were my only two prospects?
There I was, in my Sundays best suit, with my head down sitting
in a chair right up front in my parents' living room, dejected
to say the least.
My sponsor (a mortgage banker from Dana Point Calif.) was
speechless.
We briefly discussed what had happened, then he left.
I worked like this for over a year doing it almost full time
between work, and school. I could draw circles, and do the math
in my sleep.
I retailed, I drew circles at meetings, I went to just about
every function (near and far) that Amway, and my sponsors had.
I even went all the way to Tulsa Oklahoma for a National Amway
meeting with my group (Winners Circle International) in an RV.
That one trip cost me over $200.00.
My sponsor had to pay for most of it, and I paid him back the
balance when I could.
I had seen all the Diamonds, and Double Diamonds ( mostly
couples) on stage, and was wondering, "how in the heck did they
get so many people to join?"
Then it struck me. Most of them were very affluent in their
communities to begin with, and this helped them build a solid
foundation of marketers below them almost immediately.
A FEW MONTHS LATER
I on the other hand had my upline (my Dad's friend, and others)
quit on me first! I was left out in the cold, and my closest
sponsor was unwilling to come out to support me with meetings.
The guy from Dana Point.
I was 22 at the time. Who was going to listen to a 22 year old
talk about making a walk away income? My sponsor called me, and
sent me a postcard to encourage me, but I knew I was through.
I also knew this wouldn't be the last business I ventured into,
and I would just chalk this one up as experience.
So there you have it... the *TRUE* story of a wannabe
Entrepreneur.

Welcome to Oregon, a place of its own kind where the travelers
have no goal but to explore its never ending diversity. Oregon
first became the state of the US in the year 1859. It is also
known as the Beaver State due to the abundance of beaver
population in the state.
It is also well known as the most diverse state in terms of the
landscapes in the United States. So much is the diversity that
you will find tall, dense forests; accessible, scenic Pacific
coastline; and rugged, glaciated Cascade volcanoes. Other areas
include semiarid scrublands, prairies, and deserts that cover
approximately half the state in eastern and north-central part
of this region.
Oregon bordering the Pacific Ocean depends lot on it, in terms
of climate. They say it rains a lot in this part of the world
which is quite true. The rains not only add beauty to its lakes
and waterfalls but also keep he landscapes green throughout the
year.
You can relish its diversity by hiking the mountains; following
trails in the jungle, driving endlessly through the captivating
roads, skiing on the snow clad Mt. Hood, walk on the beaches or
explore the majestic desert. There is always something to do in
here which keeps you planning all the time.
When you want to relax go on playing golf on the world class
golf course, cycle on designated bike lanes, take road trips to
the wine country, dine with the renowned restaurants in this
place or enjoy the brilliantly crafted scene of play at the
Shakespeare Festival.
When you boost up the next morning you will again discover that
there is so much to see in here. Go through the pristine public
beaches, high-desert country, painted hills and wine-producing
valleys and explore its natural richness. Oregon is home to
North America's deepest river Gorge (Hells Canyon), the
country's deepest lake (Crater Lake) and the world's
second-most-climbed mountain (Mt. Hood).
To explore such a diverse state takes quite a bit of advance
planning, and knowing ahead of time the best that the state has
to offer can make a visit much more enjoyable.
It is one of the places and experiences you won't want to miss.
There are a large number of hotels and lodges in this region
which you will find unified with the characteristic of this
diverse landscape. The hotels offer a warm welcome and a
pleasant staying experience and the best part is you can easily
find one which suits your budget.
With the increased traffic of visitors getting on the spot
reservations is difficult that is why it is recommended to make
prior reservations by visiting the hotels website or calling on
the helpline number of the hotel. The hotels, lodges and resorts
exhibit many facilities like air conditioning, room service,
rental cars, shuttle service, restaurants, pub area, spas,
health clubs and most of all a serene ambience to take you to
the next level of fulfillment.
So whenever you need to break free of the daily ordeal, pack
your bags and take a plunge with Oregon. That is all for now.
Bye and regards.

Makita has a well-deserved reputation for building outstanding
quality power tools. Makita is one of the largest power tools
manufacturers in the world with a line of over 350 high quality
innovative tools. From impact wrenches and reciprocating saw to
tools as humble as a drill drivers and jigsaws. Many builders,
or tradesmen and they will all tell you that Makita make great
tools. However, we are here to find out if this is true.
As a trade professional, I use a drill more often and harder
than most. I personally know that for durability, reliability
and portability, Makita cannot be beat. However, I have only
ever used Makita's higher end machines. Last week I ordered a
Makita 6410 corded Rotary Drill. While I do acknowledge that
Cordless tools are the way forward. I wanted to see how well
Makita's lower end `budget' tools perform, hence the 6410.
The Makita 6410 has low weight, good power and good balance. I
set of to tive the little Makita a good test. Firstly I gave the
machine a good run for its money drilling some High Density
Fibre Board, performed much as I expected, seemed to work
through the board with ease.
I then gave the Makita 6410 a try on a brick. Now I know its
not got hammer action. But a powerful drill should at least be
able to drill into a brick, with a little bit of effort. The
Makita did ok, but struggled greatly, cooking the bit a little.
So if you may be performing the occasional bit of masonry
drilling, treat yourself and buy a real hammer drill.
The trigger is very smooth and enables easy speed control. The
trigger lock machinery is in a very suitable location and allows
for easy one-handed locking. The recessed lock also keeps it
from getting in the way when changing had positions. The
high-speed motor allows for a wide variety of uses and aids in
drilling through steel and high tensile substances. This is also
an added bonus when using the drill for no-so traditional uses
such as with wire brushes for stripping or 4" buffing cloths for
polishing. With other drills, the speed was just too slow to
perform the task.
The Drill is an excellent piece of machinery for the money.
However I would hesitate to recommend one. Personally I'm that
used to High end machines, I found that the Makita 6410 just
didn't really have the power too perform as well as I hoped. I
think if you will be using this drill often and frequently if
would soon wear down the bearings.
I think the 6410 is a great DIY tool but I would not go any
father than that. If you are a tradesman or a professional,
stick to Makita's higher end specialist equipment, like its new
lithium range.
In summary I would have to say that the Makita 6410 Drill is a
great little machine. It would probably make a good emergency
drill for the tradesman, or an excellent high quality drill for
the avid DIY'er, However, if you intend drill any brick work
save yourself a lot of effort and look a buying a hammer drill.

"Get on the conference calls", they say.
"Everyone who's successful in our business is on the calls",
they proclaim.
Question: Do you really have to participate in web conferences,
and tele-seminars to be successful in Internet marketing?
Answer: Probably so. You always have to educate yourself.
Question: Does it have to be boring and an ongoing sales pitch
for the company or it's products?
After all, that's how it's been done forever,
right?
Answer: Not if these two have anything to do with it!
Two self-proclaimed "Crazy Chics" from different parts of the
country are changing all that and the word is catching on.
Enter Steph Perez of Florida and Staten Sobers of Ohio. They
started the increasingly popular Internet marketing tele-seminar
"Money Chat with Steph & Stat".
The two Internet marketers first paired up with Online Business
Alliance (OBA) and then again with 1Up Cash System.
With regard to "Money Chat", Monday and Wednesday nights were
dedicated to OBA, Tuesday and Thursdays for 1Up Cash System, and
Saturday mornings were training calls.
While the two business models are somewhat similar in design,
they offer different price points with 1Up Cash System offering
an opportunity for higher payouts earlier on.
The two businesswomen began to realize that "Money Chat" needed
to be less about the businesses and more about how they could
help community members succeed, regardless of which business
they were pursuing. This lead to fun-filled, pressure free
calls, where members get information in many areas of Internet
marketing. You can ask questions in a light-hearted atmosphere
and get solid and informative answers.
Steph and Stat first found marketing success utilizing Web 2.0
techniques, namely videos and social networking. They
emphatically stress doing videos as a way of self promotion in
an effort to brand oneself.
In their view, thousands of marketers take the easy way out and
promote "cookie cutter' sites or splash pages that everyone else
uses, puts them on traffic exchanges, and expects great results.
Those results rarely come using these outdated, "old school"
methods.
While they recently developed a members only resource site,
they started off following the advice of noted Web 2.0 expert
Michelle MacPhearson in her downloadable ebook entitled, "Social
Media Daily". In addition to their resource site, they also
offer a PDF "Getting Started Guide" to members available upon
request.
When "Money Chat with Steph & Stat" was conceived in the latter
quarter of 2007, there were roughly 30 or so people listening
in. With the new generic format, a fun-filled atmosphere, and
real educational value, Money Chat has blossomed to well over
200 listeners and the community continues to grow weekly. As
more and more people come in, they bring in their success
stories following these strategies which is a win-win situation
for everyone.
Branding yourself using the Web 2.0 and social networking
techniques discussed on "Money Chat with Steph & Stat" is a
viable alternative to older advertising and marketing methods.
With Steph and Stat, it's all about the community - not about
the business.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
The following scenario happens to millions every year. You have
built up years worth of good credit history and you are shocked
when you receive a call from a credit card company demanding
that you pay past due accounts for purchases you didn't make.
You argue that it wasn't you but to no avail, your credit
rating is damaged and it can take you years to get it back into
good standing. This is the reality of the victims of identity
theft.
Identity theft is a growing problem for both financial
institutions and consumers alike. There are two types of
identity theft; the first type occurs when a thief manages to
acquire your SSN number and other pertinent information and
actually opens up new accounts registered in your name. This
type of theft is the more difficult one to detect as statements
from the fraudulent accounts are mailed to the impostor and not
you.
The second type of theft occurs when a thief gets a hold of you
account information and empties as much of your money from your
bank accounts as they can and rack up your credit cards as fast
as they can before you find out. This type of theft is usually
detected by the victim when they receive and review their
monthly bank and credit card statements.
Although there is no way to prevent identity theft there are
steps that you can take to make yourself less vulnerable to such
attacks.
Protect access to personal Information
1. Do not carry your SSN card in your wallet unless you need it
that day.
2. Do not carry any ID such as your birth certificate or
passport unless it is required to do so that day.
3. Do not carry extra credit cards that you rarely use.
4. Contact credit-reporting bureaus and remove your name from
their marking call lists. This will reduce the number of pre
approved credit offerings that you will receive. Thieves
intercept these cards in the mail, and activate them.
Restrict The Use of Your Social Security Number
Your Social Security number (SSN) should be guarded at all
times. If a thief obtains this number they would gain access to
all of your banking and credit card information.
1. Be wary of application forms that require your SSN. Ask if
you can provide alternate information such as your driver's
licence number. Find out what their policy is on guarding the
information that they are requesting. If possible ask to speak
with someone in charge and discuss your concerns with releasing
your SSN. If they don't answer your questions to your
satisfaction then avoid doing business with them.
2. Avoid carrying your SSN card with you in your wallet. Take
it out of safe keeping only when you know that you are going to
need it that day.
3. When using checks to make a purchase or when cashing a check
do let the merchant write your SSN on the check. Once the check
is out of your site anyone can copy it.
4. If possible it is best that you commit your SSN to memory.
5. Do not have your driver licence number or SSN printed on
your checks.
Creating and Protecting Pins and Passwords
1. Most people use their mother's maiden name a pet's name
their birth date or consecutive numbers when creating personal
identification numbers (PINS). This is a common mistake as
thieves are schooled in the art of finding out such information
about their victims.
2. Use the first letters of the names of your favorite songs or
the first initials of your favorite high school teachers,
something that is easy to remember but difficult for someone to
anticipate.
3. Commit your PIN number to memory. If your purse or wallet is
stolen thieves are sure to find it if you have it written down
inside somewhere.
4. Be sure to cover the ATM keypad with your hand to prevent
someone from looking over your shoulder and prevent video
cameras from being able to record your PIN.
Protecting your Credit Card Numbers
1. Never leave your credit card receipts at a business, always
take them with you. Be sure to place them in your pocket or in
your purse or wallet. Don't leave them in the bag and make sure
they don't go into a public garbage container.
2. Keep a watchful eye on how a teller swipes your credit card.
Be sure that it isn't swipe on two separate processing machines.
Thieves pay dishonest store clerks to record customer credit
card information on skimming machines.
3. Don't carry more credit cards than you require for that
day's worth of transactions.
4. Make photocopies of you credit cards in a safe place in your
home. If your credit cards are stolen you can quickly and report
the numbers to the credit card companies.
5. If you are expecting a new credit card in the mail be sure
to notify the credit card company if it is late arriving to you.
6. Monitor your monthly statements for any unrecognized
purchases.
7. At least once year obtain a copy of your credit report.
8. Shred all credit card statements before disposing of them in
your household garbage. Thieves can gain access to your garbage
at the curb or at the dump.
Internet Safety
1. Only use websites that provide secure transaction
protection.
2. Beware of phoney websites also known as "phishing sites"
they will look as if they are from your bank or other legitimate
sites such as ebay. They will send you an email requesting that
you respond to them.
3. Make sure that you install a firewall to prevent intruders
from entering your hard drive and stealing your credit
information.
4. Make sure that you have virus protection and keep it updated
to keep your information safe from be sent out in a corrupt
email program.
5. When disposing of an old computer use a program specifically
designed to remove all of your old files. Deleting them will not
be good enough to remove them from your hard drive.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
I knew I was in trouble. She ripped the oxygen sensor off her
finger and refused to put it back on.
Recovering from surgery isn't easy for anyone but it's
especially challenging when the patient is only seven. My
daughter was grumpy and uncooperative. That was understandable
but not helping the situation. Coming out of surgery, she needed
to be monitored; the medical sensors weren't optional. Kasey was
not responding well to the doses of loving kindness and patience
shown by those around her. There was nothing anyone could do to
satisfy her. She was simply cranky.
"I need a blanket!" I pull up the blanket. She kicks it off
with a scowl: "I'm too hot." Then, "I'm thirsty!" The nurse
says, "You'll throw up. You need to wait awhile." "No, I want
water now!" she cries pitifully. Heart aching, I ask for some
water. They give her a red popsicle. That should make her happy
if anything will. One little nibble and she resumes her wails
for water. "Can't we give her a little water?" I ask. "What's
the worst that can happen?" So we gave her some water and she
was satisfied. Then, she promptly threw up.
I start running through all of my good Love and Logic tools
that might help to insure the oxygen sensor stays on her finger.
What might work? Enforceable statements? Nah, not the right
thing at this moment. Empathy? Yeah but I'm already giving her
lots of that. Choices? Ah ha! Let's try that one. "Would you
like the sensor on your finger or your toe?" No response except
the stubbornly set chin and a turn of the head.
With a heavy sigh, it struck me again how hard it is to set
limits around misbehavior when our child is sick and in pain.
When our children are hurting, it is so natural for everyone
around them to acquiesce to every demand. We feel so badly for
them and just want to make it all better - make it all go away.
For a short period of time, that might be tolerable and not
harmful. Sometimes we all need a little extra leeway and grace.
But when giving leeway impedes good health care or giving
understanding enables poor health decisions then thoughtful
parenting choices become critical. And correct parenting
responses are even more critical when pain and sickness are a
part of everyday life.
These circumstances lead many children to understandably become
more demanding and entitled. However, continually bowing down to
the constant, and at times unreasonable, demands of a spoiled
tyrant can be wearing on everyone in the house. And sadly, it
doesn't even help the demanding child that parents may be
attempting to pacify. Illness and pain make it hard to know
where to draw the line. At what point does a parent say, "I am
happy to bring you a popsicle when you ask me nicely?" And how
many parents are really strong enough to withstand the tantrum
that is likely to ensue?
When a child is chronically ill, guilt often kicks in along
with close cousins: sympathy and fear. Guilt, sympathy and fear
can control our parental responses before we are really even
aware of them. As we trot off to retrieve the demanded item for
an ill child, the thought might not even occur to us to accept
only polite requests. And if the thought "I don't like how she
is treating me" does occur, it gets drowned out by the other
thoughts like "Give her a break, she doesn't feel well" or "She
might get even sicker if I don't do as she asks" or "I want all
of her moments to be happy ones so I won't say no" or "I have no
energy to handle the fighting that is sure to happen if I say
no."
The problem is that the more we give in to a tyrant, the more
he demands. Hitler is the extreme example that appeasement
simply doesn't work; not for dictators and not for children. We
are all part of the same human race with the same only too human
nature that says: "I want more." All who have spent time around
a strong willed two- or three-year-old know the truth of
Lawrence Kutner's statement, "The fundamental job of a toddler
is to rule the universe." Left unchecked, demanding toddlers
grow up to become controlling and demanding adults.
So, what is a parent to do? How do we best insure that our
children cope with their health challenges in productive ways?
How do we help them grow up into adults who are respectful,
responsible, and hopeful?
Effectively responding to an ill and demanding child starts
with an awareness of the dangers of an entitled mentality.
Although parents may put up with a child who is demanding, rude,
or lacking self control, the real world of adulthood is much
less accepting. The best gift a parent can give a child is the
opportunity to learn how to treat others with respect and to
guide them in taking responsibility for getting their own needs
met instead of demanding that others meet those needs.
Parents must effectively deal with arguments when setting
limits. One-liners can be very effective. A calmly delivered
response such as "I love you too much to argue" can turn down
the heat when tempers start to flare - on both sides.
Share control as much as possible. Children who are chronically
ill have less control over their bodies, time and circumstances
than other kids. Allowing children to make as many decisions as
possible helps them feel like they at least have some control in
their own lives.
Parents must take good care of themselves by setting loving
limits around how they are treated. Gently delivered phrases
such as "I will listen to you as soon as your voice is calm like
mine" or "I am happy to do nice things for you when I feel
treated with respect" or "I'll get you the remote control when
you ask nicely" will help your child learn to treat you, and
others, with respect.
When children make mistakes, including treating others badly,
wise parents respond with empathy and sadness rather than anger
and frustration before delivering consequences. "Oh sweetheart,
this is so sad. All of this arguing (or disrespect) has really
worn me out today so I won't be taking you on your play date.
Maybe we can try again tomorrow."
As I gazed at my daughter's firmly set chin and pursed lips, I
pondered how to handle this oxygen sensor issue. I knew telling
her to "just do it" wasn't going to cut it. That would only make
her dig in and be more resistant. Of course in the extreme, the
doctors could make her keep it on but that's not what I wanted
to do. Forcing a child to comply might win the battle but loses
the war of building character and internal ability to make good
decisions.
In the end, it was simply allowing her to the freedom to make
her own decisions that did it and trusting that she was a good
decision-maker if given information in a matter-of-fact manner
without showing my frustration. "Sweetheart, I understand you
don't like it but I don't think it's a wise decision to keep the
sensor off. If your body starts to get sick then the doctors
won't know it and it could be a problem for you. So what do you
think you'll do here?" I could see the wheels turning .
And without a word, she picked up the sensor and popped it back
onto her finger. Oh wise child!

"Dear Darlin' How much do I love thee? I'll tell you no lie
I love you from the earth to the sky. You're my sun and moon
my night and my day. Without you, dear, I'm just astray."
Ok, so it's not a Hallmark Valentine rhyme, but it got your
attention. Imagine writing this little ditty - not to someone
else - but to yourself! On this Valentines Day, a day of sharing
loving thoughts with others, have you ever thought of giving
loving thoughts to yourself? Darlin', do you ever give yourself
a big mushy, gooey, lovey Valentine gift just for being the
wonderful creature you are?
I.M. Heart can help you to do that. The most wonderful
Valentine you can give to yourself is to love you! When you
really love, accept and approve of yourself, exactly as you are
now, everything in life changes. You are accepting of the person
you were yesterday, the person you are today and the person you
will be tomorrow. You forgive yourself for a past you cannot
change, edit out the criticism or judgment, and believe in the
future with a heart full of hope and faith. There is a saying I
have had on my mirror in the bathroom for years. It says, "I
love myself just as I am right now!" That's what this is all
about, loving you with warts, wrinkles, bulges, hiccups and
hysterics in all your magnificent humanity.
Loving yourself means not having to prove your own worth. You
are worthy and deserving of love just because you are a living,
breathing human being. You are not lovable for what you have
accomplished, what you do, or who you are you are lovable just
because YOU are YOU. We continuously and unconditionally have
the love of spirit yet we fail to give to ourselves that grace
and respect.
There are many steps you can take to love yourself. One is to
create a space around you that is supporting and nurturing. You
can do this by having a home, work, hobbies, pets, and friends
or family that nurture you or provide a sanctuary from the
windstorms of life. What do you do for yourself when the
razzle-dazzle of everyday life has you feeling like a left-over
from last week? Sometimes it is necessary to stop, relax, do
something for yourself and regroup.
Loving yourself also requires action. Ask yourself what would
make you happy? What do you love to do most? What attitudes and
behaviors can you change to be more loving with yourself? Try
these ideas:
Learn to say "no"
Forgive yourself
Turn loose of what you cannot change
Ask for what you want
Stop when you are tired
Play more
Spend more time in nature
Listen to your favorite music
Make time for family and friends
Eat chocolate and ice cream
Make time for a favorite hobby
Take a nap
These twelve ideas are only the beginning. There are many more
ways you can become loving to yourself. Only you know what those
might be. Take the time to consider what would be meaningful for
you and then make those things a part of your life. I.M. Heart
has many ideas for building a richer and more fulfilling life.
Loving yourself is knowing and believing that you deserve the
whole world not just a tiny fragment of it. We often think
that we can't have anything better, so we don't put any effort
into creating what we really want. Underneath our lack of
action is the belief that we don't deserve anything more. Our
focus is on muddling through the current situation, not on
action we can take to make it better.
The bottom line: You deserve your heart's desires. You are
deserving, worthy, valuable, and lovable "just as you are
right now." So, send a Valentine to yourself a love letter
the title is: The Top 10 Reasons I Love Myself and sign it
with a hug and a kiss.
Dear Darlin' --
Happy Valentine's Day - Much Love and Many Blessings!

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
Fear is a common culprit for most if not all of the problems we
as men face with dealing with women. I know you and I both have
fears over all the different aspects of pickup, from just
walking up and saying those first few words, to getting a girls
phone number, kissing a girl, having sex or even keeping a
relationship alive and dealing with jealousy and attachment. At
the root of most of these fears is what is known as a scarcity
mentality, yet on the surface it doesn't appear to be so.
I often hear guys say they can't walk up and talk to a girl
because they don't know what to say. This is not true, for just
walking up and simply saying hi to a girl and going from there
is a great way to start a conversation. It's the mindset that if
they screw up with this girl there are very few others left to
seduce which causes feelings of anxiety and a feeling of "I have
to get this girl". The simply truth is you really don't need all
these fancy opening lines and "pickup lines" in order to meet
and attract women, you just have to realize a few simple truths
about reality.
A Scarcity mentality is where you feel there are very women in
the world for you, and it generally comes in two forms. The
first is "the one" girl, that girl you pine over day and night
and can't get her out of your head, the girl you believe is the
only woman for you, that she is the best woman in the world and
no other girls can even compare to her. I've heard it many times
before from many many guys, telling me "oh but this girls soo
special, I don't want to be seeing other girls in case she gets
upset" or "I just don't think there are any women as good as her
out there", before they have even kissed her. If you've ever
thought this way I've got bad news for you: this is a self
destructive mindset that will only end up pushing the girl you
desire further and further away.
Now the second type of scarcity mentality is the one
experienced when talking to random girls in a club/bar/on a
train etc. It's the thought that with each failure your running
out of options. Or that other people may see you talking to her
and talk about you behind your back, then that rumour will
spread from girl to girl until eventually they all know about
your antics. In all truths this is never going to happen and you
are never going to run out of girls to talk to (unless you live
in a town in the middle of nowhere with 100 people, if you do,
get out of there quickly and get into a city), you probably
already realize this logically, however just "getting it"
emotionally will take a fair bit more work.
Now an abundance mentality is the complete opposite of a
scarcity mentality. It is where you realize that there are many
many women out there for you and you will never run dry. Thus
you never think there is this one girl that you must have, nor
do you get overly attached in a relationship, and it is exactly
what girls are looking for in a guy. Now not being attached does
not mean your not loving, I love my girlfriend to bits and do
show it, but I still have that mentality that if she ever cheats
on me or does something equally bad I will dump her and can
easily find another girl without a problem.
Having an abundance mentality also means most if not all of
your fear of things such as talking to women you've never met,
or asking them out on a date completely evaporate. Generally the
main fear a guy has is that he will screw things up by asking
her out, kissing her too early etc. If you have a true abundance
mentality you will realize that if you screw up with her there
are a million more girls standing right behind her waiting for
you. You start to feel at ease and gain a feeling of self worth
when you realize that you will never run out of women. Even if
you screw up your chances with a different girl every single day
for the next 10 years, you will still not have screwed up with
99.997% of your local city population, there are seriously more
woman than you or I can handle out there.
So how do you go about gaining an abundance mindset? It seems
many guys go about this the wrong way. Most guys simply work on
the logical part of their brain, meditating, reading over notes
and more, attempting to get it into their head that there are
many women out there. This is the wrong way to go about it, just
as reading about picking up women but not actually going out
there and doing it is the wrong way to go about learning how to
attract women. To get into an abundance mindset you first need
to acquire abundance.
This poses a problem for the majority of guys that have had
very little female experience. I've seen the same problem occur
time and time again, and I've even done it myself. The problem
is when you start getting good with women and finally attract a
girl you like, you decide to settle down with her, before
exploring your options. This is by far the worst way to go about
dating, for you will learn as I did that when you only have one
girl, you still aren't sure if you are really good with women or
if you just fluked it. This eats into your mentality and you
start to realize that maybe if this girl leaves you you will
never find love again. It creates all kinds of problems, from
jealousy to being too attached in the relationship, and in the
end, it often drives the girl away.
To get this abundance mindset and be free from fear for the
rest of your life, you need to do the following: You NEED to see
at least 3 or more girls at the same time. Now you also need to
tell them you are seeing other girls, if they don't like it and
break up, so what? go out and find more. Once you have 3 or more
girls that you are constantly seeing (not just every now and
again but sleeping with and having as constant girls), you will
notice a shift in yourself. You will notice that you start to
become less attached to these girls and you realize that if one
breaks up, you've still got 2 more and can get more girls
anytime. You realize that it doesn't really matter if you have a
quarrel with any of them for if any of the girls start turning
into the bitch from hell you can dump them. This is the true way
to achieve an abundance mentality, by having an abundance of
women around you, and this mentality will constantly stick for
the rest of your life.
Of course dating 3 girls at once isn't an easy task, but if you
promise me you won't get into a full on relationship until you
have achieved the constant 3 girls I guarantee you will
eliminate your fears with dealing with women and you will feel
more at ease and free than ever. If a girl tries to tie you down
early, who cares, tell her no and keep working on getting those
3 girls. For if you jump into a relationship early without
having the experience of abundance in your life, you will still
have a scarcity mindset and you will still have fear and
jealousy working against you constantly in any relationship you
are in.

RTA stands for Ready to Assemble. If you are the type of person
who likes to do it yourself and enjoys taking on projects this
would be perfect for you. If you have the knowledge and a few
basic hand tools, these cabinets can be put together in as
little as 5 to 10 minutes. For those who feel it would be too
much work for them, RTA cabinets can also be assembled and
installed by a contractor.
RTA cabinets are not only a time-saver, they are a thrifty
option. They can also keep money in your pocket because often
they will be priced less than regular kitchen cabinets. They can
be found available in oak, walnut, cherry, and maple finishes
depending on where you search for them.
When it comes to the cabinet frames, both regular kitchen
cabinets and ready to assemble cabinets have solid wood frames,
with the major difference being the sides and backs of the
cabinet. Many brand name kitchen cabinets have fiberboard or
particle board for the back and sides of the cabinets. RTA
cabinets commonly use plywood sides and backs made of solid wood
which makes for a stronger cabinet. They are also less likely to
bubble and warp from water. Ready to assemble cabinets are also
sturdier when mounted because of the solid wood and plywood
construction.
Assembling of RTA cabinets is less stressful than traditional
cabinets. Traditional cabinets are assembled with staples,
wooden dowels, and glue. Ready to assemble cabinets have a few
ways to put the cabinets together, but the most common option is
with a cam lock system. The only tool you will need to put them
together is a screwdriver. You can always put bead of yellow
wood worker's glue between the boards before locking them into
place with the cam lock. Modern glues are incredibly strong.
The styles and details in RTA cabinets are not as wide as
traditional cabinets. The reason being is that it helps keep the
cost low. To get an idea of how much you would save using RTA
think of the common kitchen size of 10' x 10'. You can spend
about $10,000 to $30,000 just on the cabinets. Ready to assemble
cabinets can cost as little as $2,000 for the entire kitchen.
That leaves a lot of money left over in the kitchen remodeling
budget for upgrading appliances, light fixtures or a really nice
solid surface or granite counter top.
Adding RTA cabinets in your kitchen will improve and update its
style. They come in a variety of wood including oak, ginger
maple, chestnut maple, honey maple, and marquis cinnamon. You
can also find mullion doors to match. You may not even have to
go to the hardware store to purchase them since RTA cabinets can
be ordered over the internet and shipped in a short amount of
time.
If you are on a budget and want to change your kitchen's
appearance you do not have to go into debt. RTA cabinets are an
amazing option. Not only are they affordable, they are easy to
assemble so just about anyone can put them together over a
weekend. They are worth looking into when you make your kitchen
project plans.

An enhanced CRM process provides companies a better way to
understand the changing needs of their customers and to respond
to these quickly. Because CRM managers have the information
ready at hand, they are able to analyze the data and come up
with quick responses. This is only one of the benefits of
customer relationship management.
The Possibilities and Benefits of CRM
Customer Relationship Management or CRM is a procedure by which
companies get to know what customers require from their
service/products. The process also enables organizations to
track complaints and act on them immediately before situations
spill over from bad to worse. Indeed, the possibilities and
benefits of customer relationship management are endless.
The information coming CRM should not be static. It should be
updated regularly to help companies track their customers'
spending habits and changing tastes. Thus, they can respond
quickly to the shifting trends before they lose their loyal
customers. The benefits of customer relationship management's
updated facts and statistics are driving companies to look for
software solutions to ease the management and acquisition of
data.
The old-fashioned data banking or storing of information, such
as customers names, mailing addresses, and phone numbers are no
longer sufficient. Companies and organizations need to track
what their customers are buying, where they are buying, and how
frequently do they purchase items from their stores and from
competition. Acquisition of the information follows national and
international guidelines, so there should not be any problem
about this.
More Benefits of CRM
You get to enjoy the several add-on enhancements from CRM
software. Imagine what your CRM people can do using the
software. They will be able to collect customer information
anytime when needed, share the information and collaborate with
customer-related in-house staff, and come up with quick analysis
on the consolidated data gathered from various sources. All
these features increase your workers' productivity.
Because you are able to catch on with the changes, you can
immediately strategize to keep your faithful customers and
attract new ones. One is redesigning your CRM program to retain
your customers and get new clientele. Increased revenue is
another of the many benefits of customer relationship management
and software.
Work within the company becomes well-organized, systematic, and
coordinated, thereby eliminating waste of funds on unnecessary
projects - when CRM information is used to analyze trends and
shared with the people who directly or indirectly have to do
with CRM.
The Bare Facts
Everything has its advantages and disadvantages. The benefits
of customer relationship management are as diverse as the
businesses using the process and the software. Depending on the
type of business, you will need software or CRM that can handle
massive data and sort this according to how you want it.
Or if your business handles less information than an insurance
or lending company does, you'll need a different CRM software.
Don't get software with add-ons that your company can't use.
Before hastily getting CRM software, weigh the facts. A hasty
purchase may end up in waste of money and frustration.
Wading through a lot of information about software solutions
can be bewildering. An e-clearing house can help you sort out
the different CRM software, so detail your needs in a
questionnaire that will be provided for you. The e-clearing
house will match your needs with the right supplier and you'll
enjoy the benefits of customer relationship management.

Opportunities come your way via several routes. It could be a
tip from a friend, something said in discussions, a look at the
shops around you, or something you stumbled on online.
Newspapers are also prolific sources of business ideas. But if
your interest is investing overseas, specifically in the Middle
East, find that chance in the daily Lebanon news.
Real Estate Finds
Investing overseas is not unusualm but for first-time investors
who want value for their hard-earned dollars, this kind of
investment is novel. However, scouting for breaks can be
frustrating, especially if you don't know where to look.
Interestingly, Lebanon news classifieds have it all detailed and
the best bet is real estate.
For your real estate investment, choose from chalets,
apartments, industrial offices, land, offices, studio rooms,
clinics, showrooms, retail, and villas. You also have the option
to go for a share certificate. You can also advertise your real
properties for sale in the online classifieds for a minimal fee.
If you're deciding on a career move, the drop-down menu has an
interesting list of available jobs from accounting to
travel/tourism. Like the real estate and auto markets, you can
choose your desired region and city for a new job. That's how
you get the break.
Jobs
Whether you are in Egypt or in another part of the globe, you
can always get a job to match your expertise in Lebanon. If no
match is found, click the "Notify Me" tab. Those new to the site
are required to register. Don't fret, though, because
registration is free on Lebanon news sites.
For the adventurous, landing a job in Lebanon, whether in the
picturesque valleys or commercial districts, gives you the
chance to take in the scenic vistas, experience new culture,
gain new friends, and learn new things that can benefit your
career.
It is true that the political situation is unstable as posted
in Lebanon news online. However, the presence of multinational
corporations and the building of new infrastructure mitigate the
situation. You could always choose a place farthest away from
areas of conflict. Yet it is always best to consult with the
embassy for your safety.
Import and Export
Lebanon offers top notch homegrown products. Wine, precious
stones, pearls, electronic, and electric equipments. At present,
the top importers are Switzerland, Syria, and Iraq. Also worth
your investment are exotic food, fabrics, rugs, and jewelry. In
the chat forums, you can find like-minded business persons who
can supply your needs.
A thorough study is in order before you strike up a business
partnership, though. Some background research on companies can
assure of you of legitimate deals and a review of the country's
existing policies on the import business and taxes should give
you the information before you make a deal.
Other Opportunities
Business people who have a keen eye for spotting business
opportunities can find these in Lebanon news. They can analyze
situations and events and evaluate the global market trends.
Being updated with World News can give you more ideas to start a
business anywhere in the world.
But aside from money-making ventures, there are opportunities
to be had in the Middle East. There's the chance to find
affordable hotels, beach, and skiing resorts if you're inclined
to see this part of the world. It's just a matter of time before
you find the opportunity you're looking for.

All business owners have goals. Many popular business goals
include seeing an increase in office professionalism, an
increase in office productivity, as well as an increase in
profits. Companies, both large and small, have a number of tools
at their fingertips that can help these goals be reached, but
one item in particular should be examined that is almost
universally overlooked. That item is the office desk pad.
You are no doubt wondering how this could possibly contribute
in any significant way to lofty corporate goals. It is not much
of a stretch to understand that desk pads are tools that can be
used to increase office productivity, improve office
professionalism, and indirectly also help to increase profits
through this productivity gain. The realization should be that
the addition of a static, passive asset can effortlessly assist
in achieving all manner of goals through this professionalism
and productivity enhancer. Certainly, desk pads are not
absolutely essential items by any means, but that does not mean
that they should not be used. When proper writing pad use and
care is implemented, their benefits can be very substantial,
even if almost sublime.
In terms of improving office productivity, desk pads
constructed from the wonder material Rhinolin should be
examined. Rhinolin has the ability to improve office
productivity by proving a strong, sturdy, yet comfortable
writing surface. In fact, Rhinolin desk pads are considered by
many to be the perfect writing surface. By creating a non-stick
and anti-static surface, office desk pads made with Rhinolin
help to reduce writing fatigue. In turn, this allows your office
staff members to work longer without having to take as many
breaks!
In terms of improving office professionalism, there is a lot
that desk pads can do for any office setting. In keeping with
this, most Rhinolin desk pads come with a cushioned, non-skid
backing. This non-skid backing reduces unsightly marks and
scratches on office desks. This alone is likely to improve the
appearance of an office desk, as well as an office in general.
Also, most executive desk pads have hardwood trim. By matching
trim to an existing office desk, an office theme is created,
which can do wonders for the appearance of any setting.
As for increasing company profits, there are a number of ways
that office desk pads can offer assistance. As previously
stated, desk pads allow for an increase in productivity, as well
as an improvement in office professionalism. While these are two
important components of running a successful and profitable
company, desk pads also protect the surface of office desks,
helping to extend life. This, in turn, allows a business to
reduce unnecessary expenditures for repairs and replacements of
desk surfaces.
Success Image supplies desk pads with elegant hardwood trim,
available in oak, walnut, cherry, and mahogany finishes. With
Rhinolin padding and non-skid backing, it is easier for you and
your office to profit from the use of writing pads. Examine your
buying options today and get stared with transforming your
establishment into a professional and productive office.
