================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
There are many ways in which you can find great deals online
for your K9 friend. Where you find them depends a great deal on
what it is you are looking for, and the type of dog that you
have, but the internet is such a vast place that there is
nothing that you cannot find.
There are many websites that sell dog-related items, from
articles for the dog lover such as dog art and dog bookends to
dog leads and dog's toys. Many are specialized sites that deal
in one type of item such as ceramics or books, where you can get
dog figures and books on dog training, and others that are more
specifically related to dogs, offering baskets, baths and beds.
However, if you are looking for a good deal as opposed to a good
range of products, there are specific types of site that you
should look out for.
Auction sites are generally good places to find good prices on
any kind of item, not only on dog related goods, and most can be
relied upon to offer something suitable for your K9 friend. EBay
is by far the biggest online auction site, but it is by no means
the only one. Good bargains can often be found on the smaller
sites where there are fewer buyers contending for the K9 related
items being auctioned. Such sites provide a very convenient way
of purchasing goods at reduced prices, and you can frequently
get genuine bargains that are considerably cheaper than prices
found at the average online store.
The principle of online auctions is the same as any other
auction in that there is generally a starting price, above which
potential purchasers bid for the item. If there is a lot of
competition for a particular item, such as a particular dog
figurine, then the price will generally be higher than if
competition is light, and it is not unknown for bidders to get
carried away in the excitement of the bidding and end up paying
a higher price on the auction site than they could have paid at
a regular online store.
Another type of site that you can use to find bargain prices
for doggy items is a comparison site. This type of site compares
the prices offered by various online outlets for the same or
similar products. What you get is a page containing a list of
internet outlets together with the price for the product such as
a make of dog leash or a particular type of dog basket. They
frequently also offer a review of the particular store, and
sometimes you are better paying a little extra to a reliable
store with good reviews than to purchase cheaper from one that
appears to have a poor delivery or service record.
Similar to this are review sites that offer reviews of specific
products. You can carry out a search for a product type, and be
provided with a number of alternatives, such as different
models, together with a review of each that you can use to make
up your mind which you want to choose. For example, there might
be reviews on a number of alternative books on how to train your
dog, or of the pros and cons of different types of dog collar or
chain.
All of these are types of site that you can use to find great
deals online for your K9 friend, but there is one type of site
that probably beats all of these. That is the type of website
that offers great products at low prices, but also provides
information on the topic. For example, a site specializing in K9
items as a niche, and offering articles and other information on
various K9 topics in addition to great offers on a large variety
of dog related items.
The best combination is such a website and an auction site, and
an information site also providing details of forthcoming eBay
auctions relating to the specific niche would combine to provide
relevant content on the niche such as dogs, and also great
auction deals online for your K9 friend. There are not many such
sites online, but they are very useful when you find them.
The benefit is that you are provided with good information, and
also a reliable source of great K9 items at great prices.
About The Author: Useful information on a number of dog-related
topics is available from http://www.k9unit.net/ where you will
also find details of forthcoming K9 related eBay auctions at the
fabulous prices you would expect from an online auction site.

As a network marketing distributor, it is always important to
keep abreast of the current best practices to ensure on-going
business and growth. Here are the best practices that many top
MLM leaders are using to successfully build their businesses
Be consistent with lead generation. As a network marketing
distributor, having a constant influx of interested prospects in
your pipeline is necessary. It is also important to make sure
that the system you use to attract prospects is duplicateable.
In other words, it should be so simple that a veteran or someone
just starting out can use successfully. Send out Cards business
can give you a lot of leads in a short period of time.
Here's something else to think about. Most people go online
looking for information, not sales offers. So the chance of them
running across your online offer is slim to none. However, when
a printed direct sales offer is physically placed in the hands
of people, they will put forth the effort to seek out the source
of the offer. It doesn't matter if it's right up the street from
them or online... the printed direct sales piece established a
certain form of credibility.
Most internet exclusive advertisers will likely see their sales
efforts pay off in a much greater way by combining print
advertising and direct sales with their online methods. Once a
printed direct sales piece establishes credibility, a web site
would only need to highlight benefits and give access to the
offer
But, a frightening 87% of those who actually begin an on-line
home business have failed within 6 months. How can you make sure
that you're one of the `lucky' 13% who make a go of it and
establish themselves? Well, the good news is that there is a way
of helping ensure that your business can bring you the sort of
life that you're looking for in terms of quality lifestyle and
financial rewards. It is possible to succeed; if you go about
things properly.
3 Important Secrets to Succeed in your Send out Cards Business
Firstly, let's consider your Target Market. For a start, you
need to discover one that is under-exposed not already
saturated so that there's no room for you. You can demonstrate
how to analyze the traffic in the dominant search engines so you
can discover what people are looking for and then try to fill
that gap.
Secondly, take account of the branding and marketing of your
own web-site. This is what is going to bring in the customers,
so this aspect is of prime importance that will help you to
market your website so that you will be able to control your
particular target market. You can see how best to use audio and
even 3D presentations to generate visitors and interest.
Thirdly, you will help you develop an effective marketing plan;
how to set yourself targets short-term and long-term - and how
to go about reaching those targets and evaluating your progress
before setting further ambitious goals.
A personal coach is like having your very own personal fitness
coach, but here we are talking about the fitness of your
business. No matter how determined we are or how gifted we are,
no-one can do things on their own. We always need help, advice,
know how, constructive criticism, encouragement, expertise and
101 other things from someone who has been through it all
before.

When it come to setting up a well-equipped kitchen, it is often
a good idea to start from the very beginning. You may have more
kitchen stuff than you use regularly with lots of tools that are
no longer up to the task or have been forgotten. If you're in
your first apartment or recently married, you're probably
already at the very beginning and need to start from scratch...
Either way, what follows is an overview of the necessities with
some important notes on considerations you should make as you
browse the housewares department. Let's take a look at the
essential building blocks of truly functional kitchen workspace.
Cutting boards
You'll need at least two cutting boards, one for meat and one
for veggies. There are myriad types on the market and you should
take stock of your available storage and lifestyle before
choosing. There are beautiful, functional (and very expensive)
butcher-block-type cutting boards you can buy, but remember
these must be meticulously cared for to avoid the cultivation of
dangerous germs and NEVER soaked in water. Larger versions can
take up lots of counter and storage space, so keep these things
in mind before making a big investment. Plastic and silicone
versions are perfectly functional for average jobs and can be
easily cleaned in the dishwasher, but don't provide the surface
area of the larger wooden boards.
Cookware
It's easy to be overwhelmed by the choices out there when it
comes to cookware. It's also very easy to spend your kids'
college money on pots if you're not careful! Besides what you
like the look of and what feels good in your hand, there are a
few things to think about before choosing cookware. For
instance, what kind of heat source does your stove-top utilize?
Gas stoves work well with all kinds of cookware, but electric
stoves can take longer to adjust the amount of heat being used,
so you want to avoid cookware that is overly heavy, as this will
delay heat adjustments even further. Finally, if you have an
induction cooktop, make sure you acquaint yourself with the
manufacturer's recommendations as some cookware will not allow
the magnetic currents responsible for heat. If you're
reassessing your current tools, inspect your non-stick pieces
for scratches and other damage to the non-stick surfaces.
Cookware with this damage should be replaced.
10" inch skillet
8" inch skillet
1 qt saucepan
3 qt saucepan
6 qt stock or soup pot
Roasting Pan
Bakeware
Another category with lots of choices, today's bakeware
includes some pieces that would leave our grandmothers stumped.
some of the newest stuff--like flexible silicone muffin and loaf
pans--can take some getting used to and aren't necessarily good
replacements for tried and true earthware, pyrex or metal
pieces.
Shallow baking Pan and or "cookie" sheets (they are good for
more than cookies!)
9 x 13 inch casserole
9 x 9 inch casserole
Knives
Skip the $800 knife set and get quality versions of the
following essential blades to get your kitchen running:
8" chef's knife
Paring Knife
Bread Knife
Steak Knives (4-8)
Sundry Tools
Measuring Cups (dry)
Measuring Cup (wet)
Measuring Spoons
Graduated Mixing Bowls (set 3-5)
Strainer or colander
Can Opener
Pepper Grinder (If you're not already, get in the fresh-ground
pepper habit!)
Utensils
Whisk
Tongs (1-2)
Silicon Spatulas (2-3)
Wooden Spoons (2-3)
Large Spoon
Large Slotted Spoon
Vegetable Peeler
Cheese Grater
Wine opener

A venue finder is someone who can help you find a venue for any
occasion. Some deal solely with corporate events whilst others
will also cover social events. The majority of venue finders
only find venues in the UK but if you want an event abroad some
venue finders are able to find venues abroad too. The best way
to find a venue finder is on the Internet where there are a
majority of venue finders to choose from. Whilst it may be hard
to decide upon a venue finder due to the large choice of venue
finders advertising on the Internet there are a few key factors
which will help you find the best venue finder.
The best venue finders have a quick turn around time and offer
a selection of venues that will fit your requirements. It is
worthwhile finding out about these two details as it will help
you avoid venue finders that only offer you one or two venues
and take days to do it. Another fact to consider is if the venue
finders charge a fee or not. Free venue finders are definitely
worth using as they provide a free service, which is important
if you have a tight budget to work to.
The majority of venue finders have a broad knowledge of venues
and are experienced in finding venues for all types of occasion.
Good venue finders will have visited a good selection of venues
and should know what a venue is like. Venue finders will
normally take all the details of your requirement and find a
selection of venues to suit. It is always worth visiting
potential venues if you have never seen them before so that you
can make sure the venue is suitable for you. This way you can
also meet the staff at the venue and are able to see what the
service is like. Additionally if you want to taste the food the
venue may be able to arrange a tasting session for you.
Venue finders are usually very successful in finding a venue
for your event. They are also experienced in negotiating rates
and they can usually find good deals for you. This is very
useful when you are working on a small budget.
Venue finders are also useful if you arrange a lot of events.
This is usually the case for training companies who run a number
of events every week or month. By using a venue finder they can
arrange all your venues and a dedicated venue finder will make
the process of booking a venue much easier. The venue finder
also will have knowledge of your events and they are more
successful in finding venues.
Once you have found a good venue finder that you enjoy working
with and meet all of your needs then you should be able to
contact them with all your enquiries. It is valuable to have
this relationship with a venue finder as it saves a lot of time
and effort. It is also really handy when you have to arrange a
meeting at the last minute and you don't know where to start.
You can also suggest venue finders to your colleagues if they
need to find a venue.

6 Proven Secrets To Writing A Trash-Proof Press Release
by Bill Stoller, Publisher
Free Publicity, The Newsletter for PR-Hungry Businesses
http://www.PublicityInsider. com/freepub. asp
In baseball, it's said that you know an umpire is top-notch when
you never notice his presence. If he's doing his job, he won't
call attention to himself in any way. It's much the same for the
writer of a press release. When the recipient of a press release
focuses only on its content -- and not on its creation -- the
writer has succeeded. With that in mind, here's how to develop a
style that can help give you a big edge in placing your press
releases.
1) Master News Style By Reading News Stories
The folks who write wire copy for the Associated Press are
masters at presenting information without calling attention to
themselves. Read all the AP wire copy you can:
http://customwire.ap.org/dynamic/ and get a sense offronts/HOME
the rhythm and flow of their writing. Examine their choice of
words and sentence structure (typically, they choose the simplest
way of saying things) and their overall tone of solid
objectivity. This is the style to which you should aspire.
2) Write a Great Lead
The lead paragraph in a press release should, theoretically, be
able to stand alone as a news item. A standard news lead answers
the Five W's -- Who? What? Where? When? Why? Successfully answer
those five questions in one paragraph and you've summarized
everything beautifully.
Bad lead:
The new Acme X100 is drawing raves from customers, who call it
the best thing to happen to the flanging industry since the X99.
Good lead:
Philadelphia -- Calling it a "milestone day for our industry",
the Acme Company unveiled the first flanger capable of creating
widgets using only solar power. According to Acme President Joe
Blow, the X100 is expected to find wide use in the developing
world, where access to traditional electric power is unreliable.
The Five W's are answered! Who: the Acme Company. What: the
introduction of the solar-powered X100. Where: in Philadelphia
(the headquarters for our fictional company). When: August 15.
And, most important, Why: for use in the developing world.
Remember this: in almost every release that's successful, what
put it over the top was the answer to "Why?". You must make plain
the significance of your news by answering that question
succinctly and without hype!
3) Write in Third Person
Perhaps it's a silly convention, but press releases really should
be written as if they're coming from an objective outsider to
your company, not from within your business. Of course, the
journalist knows better, but nonetheless, they expect releases to
be written in the third person. In short, here's the difference
between first person and third person:
=> First person: We've developed the Acme X100.It's our most
advanced model ever.
=> Third person: Acme Industries has developed the X100, which a
company spokesperson called its "most advanced ever"
4) Attribute All Opinions
Never flatly state an opinion. If you want to state an opinion
or, as in the above example, make a claim, always attribute it to
a representative of the company (which very well may end up to be
you!). Anything apart from entirely factual info (dates, store
availability, product features, biographical information, etc.)
should be attributed. Again, the best way to get a feel for this
is to read wire copy. Start sorting out the things a reporter
feels comfortable including without attribution and things for
which he uses a named source.
5) Use the Inverted Pyramid
On the first day of Journalism 101, aspiring scribes learn about
the Inverted Pyramid. Basically, it's way of organizing
information so that the most important information is at the top
-- the widest part of the Inverted Pyramid -- and, as you funnel
down to the narrowest point, the information becomes less and
less vital. There's a good reason for this: if a reporter's 10
paragraph story gets cut to 6 paragraphs because of space
considerations, the reader will still be informed of the most
important news. What's cut will be background, quotes and other
nonessential material. When writing a press release, the Inverted
Pyramid is equally important. First, it's the style the
journalist is comfortable with and second, it assures that even
if a rushed reporter can only read the first couple of
paragraphs, she'll get enough info to decide whether to use the
release or not. If you bury the best part of your release in the
fourth paragraph, the recipient may never make it that far.
6) Remove all "Stoppers"
A "stopper" is something that will stop a journalist in her
tracks and distract her attention. Once that happens, your
release is toast. The point of your press release: to present
information in the least obtrusive way possible. Consider it this
way: the journalist isn't dumb -- she knows full well that you've
sent her the press release for purely commercial reasons, hoping
to get publicity that will make you more money. She can live with
that as long as [a] there's something in it for her (a good
story) and [b] she's not reminded of your commercial desires too
often. A "stopper" breaks the suspension of disbelief needed for
this little dance to be successful. It's the boom mike showing up
in the frame of a movie -- once you've seen it, it's hard to
convince yourself that you're really experiencing something that
happened during, say, the Middle Ages. Here are some "stoppers"
to avoid:
=> Clunky language. Journalists keep their language pretty
simple. Long words, compound sentences and lofty, pretentious
phrases are no-no's. Keep your sentences short. Don't try to
present more than one idea in a paragraph. Avoid words you
wouldn't use in everyday circumstances.
=> Hype and puffery. The ultimate "stopper". Confusing press
release copy with advertising copy is a pervasive problem with
businesspeople. Don't call yourself the greatest, the hottest,
the coolest, the most unique or anything of the sort. If you must
make a claim of superiority for your product, service or company,
attribute it. Acme President Joe Blow said the X100 "has the
opportunity to revolutionize the industry" is much better than
The revolutionary Acme X100 is the greatest industrial advance
since the Wright brothers flew at Kitty Hawk.
=> Trademark Symbols. Including TM or copyright symbols that
scream, "hey, check me out! I'm a press release! I come from a
business! The legal department made me include this stuff!"
The bottom line: write like a journalist, avoid the stoppers and
answer the Five W's and you'll succeed!

Of the three macronutrients, protein is the most important for
health and achieving the body you want. The bottom line is that
protein is the ONLY nutrient out of the three that restores and
repairs every single cell in your body. Now, every day your body
with its trillions of cells is constantly being broken down and
being rebuilt. In fact every 7 years you are literally a
completely new person there is not one cell in your body that
was there 7 years ago. To stay alive we need enough protein to
grow new cells to replace the old ones. It's that simple.
With our hectic modern lives, the breakdown is even greater and
so to stay healthy we need to make sure we are getting enough
each and every day. Individual requirements will vary however a
good minimum is anywhere from 1.5-3 grams per kilo of bodyweight
when you are exercising depending on your specific goals and
needs. This amount is necessary because as you exercise you
breakdown a great deal of protein in the body to train it to
adapt and grow new muscle that will fire up your metabolism and
help you burn more body fat.
Now when we talk about quality protein sources you can always
look to red meat...but not just any red meat, more to the point,
quality organic red meat.
One of the most compelling reasons to eat only organic meat is
the massive use of anti-biotics in the stock feed of mass
commercially produced meats. In the United Sates Almost 17.9
million pounds of anti-biotics was added to stock feed of farm
animals in an attempt to prevent the diseases caused by mass
farming as well as a growth promoter to fatten the stock more
quickly.
Considering most dosages of anti-biotics if you are unlucky
enough to need them once or twice a year are measured in
milligrams (1/1000th of a gram), anti-biotics in livestock feed
create a massive overdose of 27g of anti-biotics per year for
every man woman and child. This means that as a population, our
natural resistance to disease is being steadily eroded. The
situation in Australia is little better with approximately 20g
of anti-biotics from stock feed ingested per person each year.
Once you have converted to organic meat there is no going back
as it is far more carefully produced in smaller batches and the
superior quality and taste is self-evident.
Eating meat can make you feel heavy at times but after eating
organic meats you will probably find yourself feeling energised,
as you should after having a good quality dose of protein. Game
meats such as buffalo, bison, venison, kangaroo and ostrich are
an excellent source of clean chemical free protein. They is also
very low in fat, taste great and can be very good value for
money. In larger pieces game meats with their lower fat content
need to be cooked fairly rare, but if you prefer well done,
slice thinly and use in stirfrys.
Your protein intake may be supplemented by good quality protein
powders, which are particularly good before and after training
due to their quick absorption, and convenience.

So you wanna make money online? I don't blame you, but how are
you going to do it? Adwords? Maybe, but it's getting harder to
turn a profit. Yahoo Search Marketing? Sure, but they've been
around for a long time and many of the niches are very
saturated.
There is a brand new way of advertising your products and
offers online called Facebook Ads. The program is brand new and
has never been touched by marketers up until a couple of months
ago. The program boasts paying the lowest CPC (cost per click)
on the internet. With this said, my team investigated to see
what type of results we received from promoting the same offers
that we promote on Google and Yahoo. The results were amazing.
It's actually very possible to make money online using Facebook
Ads.
Facebook did have a program called "Facebook Fliers" that was
successful, but not well liked by internet marketers and
promoters. The reason being was you had to pay per thousand
impressions and not per click. Marketers decided that they would
rather pay per qualified click rather than showing impressions
to every bob, joe, and jane on the Facebook network.
Now, here comes Facebook Ads, where you pay per click. On top
of paying per click, you are able to target your audience of
viewers however you want to. You can target them based on age,
gender, geographic area, school, hobby, anything! This option is
great, because do you really want to be promoting a sports offer
to a 16 year old female? Probably not. Facebook Ads has really
changed how internet marketers are able to promote their offers
and keep profit margins high.
Nobody knows what the future will bring for networks like
Adwords, Yahoo PPC, and MSN Adcenter. The saturation of
marketers, niches, and offers has become very high and the days
of making thousands of dollars a day paying nearly nothing for
your clicks are long gone. The internet is constantly changing
and it seems that Facebook is doing their best to keep up with
everything that is happening on the internet in relation to
trends, marketers wants, and their users wants.
The main reason why Facebook is so successful is because of the
popularity of their network. Close to 100 million high school
students, college students, and other people are registered and
log in every single day of the week. Facebook has become much of
an addiction and a necessity across high schools and college
campuses. By experts predictions, Facebook will continue to grow
for decades to come. Their network includes every feature a
teenager or college student could ever want to stay in contact
with their friends. The evolution of Facebook Applications
proved to be very successful by allowing developers to create
their own applications and place them on Facebook.
If you can't tell by my excitement towards Facebook, it's
really an amazing place to be right now if you are a marketer.
The opportunities are abundant, all you need is a bit or
originality to turn large profits.

There are thousands and thousands of reasons why you may need a
short-term loan, such as an emergency cash expense, a vacation,
a special gift or even just a night out with your loved ones.
However, you may be concerned that you are not eligible for a
loan because your credit rating is less than "perfect". Not to
worry, because even with bad credit, you can obtain instant cash
from various payday advance companies.
There are two types of impaired credit loans; secured and
unsecured impaired credit loans. Secured personal loans would be
relevant if you have missed payments on a previous loan, have
had mortgage arrears, or have had credit card problems. In order
for you to obtain secured impaired credit loans, you would have
to provide collateral to ensure that you will receive payment.
Some common examples of collateral include your car, boat or
home. If you were to default on your loan then the lender would
take ownership of the possession you used as collateral.
Therefore, it would be wise to ponder this fact before applying
for secured loans.
If you have bad credit, you should review the reasons behind
why this has occurred. In some instances, bad credit is the
result of unforeseen life events, such as illness and the
inability to work. Other times, bad credit is the result of bad
spending habits or living "beyond your means". In such cases, it
may be a good idea to source credit counseling before taking out
impaired credit loans that might lend to an already disastrous
debt spiral.
Unsecured impaired credit loans are usually smaller loans in
the amount of $100 to approximately $1,000. The maximum amount
that would be able to be borrowed would be dependent on the
lending institution. Unsecured impaired credit loans will have
higher interest rates/fees than secured impaired credit loans
for two reasons:
1.) The lender charges high fees or interest due to the
perceived "risk" to recoup the loan amount plus fees from those
with impaired or bad credit.
2.) Higher fees and interest are charged due to the lender not
having the security that an underlying asset would provide.
Another source of impaired credit loans are payday loans,
otherwise known as cash advances or sort term loans. These are
essentially unsecured loans for a small amount with the life of
the loan being the time it takes for you to receive your next
pay check. In most instances, payday lenders do not take into
account bad credit. However, when they check your credit report,
it is only to determine if you have filed for bankruptcy in the
past or there is a chance that you would file for bankruptcy in
the future.
If you are unsure where to begin in your search for the right
impaired credit loans, you may want to contact a mortgage
consultant. They will be able to provide you with reliable
helpful advice. Another alternative would be to contact a loan
establishment who can help in your financial struggles by
providing you with instant cash within the hour.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
There are a lot of things you need to know before you can
accept credit cards on your web site. This always seems to
startle some people when I bring it up. The overall view on this
topic is that making money online, (as opposed to offline) is
relatively easy.
Back in the not so distant past it was fairly simple to hook up
a credit card processor, (online gateway) to your web site and
accept payment. There weren't too many rules you had to follow
to make this happen. The biggest hurdle you had to worry about
was paying the entrance fee and keeping up with the monthly
payments. But this game has become a bit more complicated in the
past recent months.
You need to clearly define your shipping policies and return
procedures on the front pages of your web site. You need to get
real specific on tax information and how you will handle damaged
shipments. This can slow you down for about two weeks. There is
a ton of phone tag that goes on in this period and you will be
shut out in the cold waiting for approval. Nobody ever expects
this to happen but http://Authorize.net and Chase Manhattan are
tightening down on policy.
Accepting Credit Cards Online Gets Trickier
The most common misconception I face is that accepting credit
cards online is exactly the same process as accepting them in
the storefront. This is simply not the case. You can accept
credit cards in your store with a swipe machine that sits by
your register. You will still need an online gateway to accept
credit cards on your web site. This gets attached to your web
site online. This gets connected to your bank account. There are
no hardware attachments to connect to your computer and this has
nothing to do with how you conduct business in your physical
storefront. These are two separate procedures.
Not all credit card processors are equal. Some come with higher
percentage rates than others. For a lot of business owners this
can cause a great deal of turmoil and headache. I have seen them
break down and cry over paying 2% or 4% extra for each
transaction. I have literally witnessed business professionals
lose it over having to pay an additional half point on their
fees. These same business owners have zero web traffic incoming
to their sites.
I would only get emotional on this issue if you are pulling in
a substantial amount of volume. Most of these web site owners
have no real massive amount of online visitors. Percentages are
going to become a much greater deal if you have a significant
amount of online web traffic and sales. Once you handle a great
number of transactions you may want to get a better rate.
And Now For The Good News
Once you understand what the online merchant accounts are
looking for this becomes quite easier than before! You really
can make a great deal of money online by following savvy online
marketing skills and positioning your site to the right types of
people. There is nothing better than waking up one fine morning
and being able to look into your bank statement to see deposits
being dropped into your account. This is a very uplifting
feeling!
You can sell just about anything you can dream of online and
people do. Out of all the products, goods and services that sell
online information products sell the best. Remember that people
do not go online to buy things but mostly logon to search for
information. Getting people to commit to buying something takes
a bit of effort and you need to educate them on why they need
your goods and services. This is where copywriting, (sales in
print) can do amazing things to your bottom line. You need to
answer all of your potential customers questions and concerns
before they will commit to you.
And lastly, the best thing about living in this information age
is that this entire sales process can be automated. You can have
web video clips demonstrating your products or sales people who
come on your site and do the selling for you. You can automate
every aspect of the selling process online so you don't have to
lift a finger.
There is an art to making money online. The game has become a
bit trickier and a little more stringent on policy and procedure
but that's good. Online marketing is now a real industry and is
being taken seriously across this country and abroad. And like
any real industry there are rules that you need to know about so
you can get yourself up to speed.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
Since forming in Ireland in July 1998, Westlife have become
household names in the United Kingdom, most of Europe,
Australia, Asia, Latin America and Africa. Their music has
evolved in parallel, from solely performing and recording
ballads into a more contemporary form of pop music. And with
that change, Lady Fortune has brought them tremendous success as
one of the greatest boy bands of all time.
Signed by the infamous Simon Cowell and managed by Ronan
Keating, Westlife have had 14 number one singles in the UK, the
third highest such total in UK music history. Only a certain Mr.
Presley and The Beatles have had more, indicating the huge
popularity the band hold over the record buying public.
They are also the only group to win the coveted Record of the
Year award in the UK an astounding 4 times, and it was estimated
that by the beginning of 2008, the group was worth in excess of
19 million pounds.
But how did this popularity start? Westlife's first big break
came in 1998 when they opened a gig for Boyzone in Dublin. With
people now talking about them, they released their first single,
Swear It Again, in March 1999 and it went straight to the top of
the charts. When If I Let You Go went straight in at number 1
five months later, it cemented their status and made a statement
that they were no one-hit wonders. Flying Without Wings followed
in October, and the number 1 slot was theirs again; number 1's
it seemed, were as natural to them as eating and sleeping.
Their first album, Westlife, was released in November 1999 and
was a massive hit, peaking at number 2 in the UK, after being a
huge Christmas seller. The final single from the album, Fool
Again, was released and also hit number one, meaning all four of
their debut singles had hit top spot.
Westlife's follow-up album, Coast To Coast, was released in
November 2000, again just before Christmas, and it was an
enormous hit in the UK. It went on to be the country's fourth
biggest selling album of the year and outstripped their debut
album in sales by a mile.
Their third album came a year later, again in November, called
World of Our Own, featuring several songs that eventually became
number 1 hits, including Uptown Girl, Queen of My Heart, and
World of Our Own.
Meanwhile the press were filled with daily rumours of an
impending split in the band, which worsened after the release of
their Greatest Hits album, Unbreakable, in November 2002. For
the next year they were dogged with constant speculation over
the future of the band, and found themselves having to deny
everything, despite a number 4 hit with Hey Whatever, and
another number 1 album in Turnaround.
On 9th March 2004, just before their their fourth European tour
was to start, Bryan McFadden announced he was leaving the band.
The press felt vindicated, and the departure was seen as having
an ill effect on the group, when for the first time in their
history, their new album did not make it to number 1; Allow Us
To Be Frank peaked "only" at number 3.
In November 2005, You Raise Me Up was released from their
seventh album, Face to Face, and on 6th November, both the album
and single broke records by being at number 1 in the UK charts
simultaneously.
Still ignoring negative press activity, late 2006 saw Westlife
sign a brand new five album deal with Sony/BMG. Their eighth
studio album, The Love Album, followed and was made up of all
their previous covers of popular love songs. Another number 1
came in the form of their ninth studio album, Back Home, exactly
a year later. Westlife were now legends in their own time.
In late 2007, Westlife announced their intention to play the
historic Croke Park in Dublin, in front of a planned 70,000
fans. It will be their biggest ever concert, ensuring that
although no album is scheduled for 2008, they will make history
yet again, by playing to so many people in their hometown.

Bands come and go, but the classification and re-classification
of their music is an exercise that never grows old. There are no
hard and fast rules, no universally accepted methodology or
definitions to fall back on. Music geeks are faced with bands
that change their sound and/or appearance from release to
release and a classification system that is completely open to
interpretation.
As a starting point, how about nailing down some basic
definitions and examples of musical genres? It sounds
straightforward, but even that can be a challenge. There is no
set number of agreed upon genres, names for the genres (or what
is even considered to be a standalone genre) and the definitions
themselves are frequently the subject of argument. But with the
help of Canadian uber-music geek Allan Cross, along with far too
many hours of trolling through music industry publications like
Rolling Stone and Spin, here's an attempt at some basic
definitions. By the way, we're sticking to the general rock
world for this exercise, so for the purposes of this article
only, country and/or western, jazz, adult contemporary and all
sorts of other music do not exist; they're off limits.
Emo: A style of music that's part punk in its sound, but
leaning heavily toward the emotional, melodramatic and
angst-ridden end of that spectrum. In other words, melodic and
moody punks. Jimmy Eat World is often lumped under the Emo
banner and many people would consider Panic! At The Disco and
AFI to be current occupants as well. The Smiths are another
possible Emo contender.
Goth: An offshoot of the punk movement, Goth appealed to the
gloomier music fan. Proper attire was built almost entirely
around black and frequently extended to black-dyed hair, black
lipstick, heavy use of mascara and black nail polish. In
general, the look was spooky; the music could range from moody
to sinister. Classic examples: Siouxsie and the Banshees,
Bauhaus and Sisters of Mercy.
New Romantics: Appearing as part of the post-punk music scene
in the early 1980's, New Romantics favoured frilly shirts,
skinny ties and make-up. Classic bands in this vein included
Duran Duran, Visage, Japan and Roxy Music.
Synthpop: A sound that became popular in the late 1970's and
early 80's, Synthpop was, as the name suggests, pop-oriented
music that relied heavily on the use of keyboards, drum machines
and synthesisers, and tended to avoid guitars or at least
relegate them to supporting instruments. Classic examples:
Depeche Mode, Human League and OMD.
Heavy Metal: Gaining prominence in the late 60's and 70's,
Heavy Metal was a "heavy" blend of rock and blues with an
emphasis on guitar and drums. Bands tended to adopt a look that
included long hair, T-shirts, tight jeans and leather - you'd
never mistake them for New Romantics. Classic Heavy Metal bands
include Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Metallica. Spinal Tap is
the definitive Heavy Metal spoof band.
Heavy Metal spawned all sorts of offspring genres, of which
some were, or are, popular enough to deserve their own
definitions.
Hair Metal: Heavy Metal with more of a Pop or Rock flair;
nothing too deep but trying to appeal to a wider audience. Hair
Metal is all about appearance; a variation on the 70's glam look
featuring lipstick, tight leather, frills, bandanas, and long,
spiked, teased, or tinted hair. The look tended to undermine
their credibility among their more serious metal peers. Poison,
Ratt and Cinderella all went for this niche. Hair Metal bands
tend to suffer on the reunion circuit because, although they can
maybe still play, all too often their hair has failed over the
years and without that...
Nu Metal: An attempt to update Heavy Metal for the 90's.
Elements of other genres were blended in, sometimes with Rap,
sometimes Grunge, perhaps a bit of Industrial or even Goth. It
still relies heavily on guitar and drums, but bands veered from
the classic Heavy Metal look and fancied themselves up a bit.
Classic examples: Korn, Orgy and Linkin Park.
Speed Metal: Think Heavy Metal, but faster. Because Heavy Metal
became too ponderous and lumbering for some, Speed Metal
developed. The Heavy Metal guitar solo became more dominant
within the songs and the tempos were greatly increased. Early
practitioners of the style included Judas Priest and more
contemporary bands such as Primal Fear have kept the tradition
alive.
Progressive Rock (also known as Prog-Rock): This is what
happens when a Rock band decides to get intellectual and explore
concepts and musical virtuosity rather than aiming for the
classic three minute pop single. Synthesizers and string
instruments were often employed to fill out the sound and make
things more elaborate. Drummers abandoned their drum kits for
complex percussion stands. Rush, Pink Floyd and Genesis (at
least early Genesis) are among the better known Prog-Rock bands.
Industrial: Just as the name suggests, Industrial music sounds
big, noisy and mechanical. Not known for being particularly
radio-friendly because of the unusual sounds, aggressiveness and
frequent use of uncomfortable or socially-risqué subject
material. Classic examples include: Nine Inch Nails, Skinny
Puppy and Ministry.
Hip Hop: Employing elements of a strong beat, sampling, rap and
often the use of a turntable, Hip Hop rose from the inner cities
to commercial success through the 80's. Run DMC, Beastie Boys
and OutKast are just a few examples of the vast catalogue of
successful Hip Hop groups.
Punk: A style of music that became prominent in the mid to late
70's, punk was built around the premise that anyone could and
should make music, regardless of their musical skill. Punk
became a sounding board for a generation of angry youth whose
songs were about social statements with musical accompaniment
tending toward the loud, fast and simple. Classic examples: Sex
Pistols, The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers and The Ramones.
Electronic: A distinctive sound that developed in the mid to
late 70's as synthesiser technology became more widely
available. Unlike Synthpop, Electronic artists seemed more
interested in exploring soundscapes and stringing together
interesting noises than producing singles. Kraftwerk was one of
the pioneers of the Electronic movement.
Grunge: A sound that grew out of, and became synonymous with,
the Seattle music scene in the late 1980's and early 1990's; a
heavy punk meets metal kind of affair. The typical grunge
uniform consisted of jeans and a short-sleeve T-shirt worn over
top of a long-sleeved T-Shirt, sometimes with an ubiquitous
goatee beard on the chin of male practitioners. Bonus points
were awarded for wearing a red and black check lumber jacket.
Examples: Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains.
Psychedelic Rock: For those who liked Rock and Heavy Metal, but
found them too restrictive, Psychedelic Rock added all sorts of
guitar fuzz, distortion and occasionally disjointed lyrics to
create a distinct sound. Classic examples include The Jesus and
Mary Chain and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, with its roots
going back to the 1960's with the Strawberry Alarm Clock and
even The Beatles.
Rockabilly: When rock got just too damned complicated, some
bands apparently had a hankering for the old-school, 50's style
roots rock pioneered by Elvis Presley and others. They donned
rolled up jeans, white T-shirts and black leather motorcycle
jackets, slicked back their hair, and pumped out the rockabilly.
You won't find a better example than The Stray Cats.
Ska: A combination of Jamaican music and rock that reached the
height of its popularity in the late 70's and early 80's with
British bands like Madness, The English Beat and The Specials.
Ska was danceable, and the bands tended to be larger than
typical rock outfits, employing the standard guitar/drum/bass
combo but usually augmenting this with horns, an organ and
keyboards, and sometimes a designated stage dancer.
Next up in the classification of music is a series of more
general terms used to encompass a wider swath of music,
frequently for the purpose of describing a radio station's music
format.
Alt-Rock: Starting off simply enough as an alternative to the
rock music being played on mainstream radio, this used to be a
somewhat rare classification, dominated by bands that could be
heard on alternative or college radio stations: R.E.M., for
example. But by the 1990's, "rock" as it had been known was
being left behind on radio and what was known as Alt-Rock
actually began to dominate the play lists.
Rock: Once upon a time this used to be straightforward. The
Beatles, The Rolling Stones and other bands like them, were
considered Rock bands. As time passed though, these bands tended
to be lumped under Classic Rock. Today there are Rock bands -
Foo Fighters being a good example - but they are frequently
referred to as Alt-Rock. In other words, Alt-Rock has, for a
large part, usurped Rock as "rock" these days. Confused? You and
me both...
Indie: Bands that are not directly affiliated with any of the
major record labels, typically giving the artists greater
artistic control over their music, at the cost of personally
shouldering a greater percentage of the production, promotion
and distribution costs of their music. College radio stations
are big proponents of Indie bands, but some, like Arcade Fire,
have made the jump to mainstream.
Pop: The least frightening (at least on the surface), most
melodic and radio-friendly of them all, Pop artists aim to sell
vast quantities of records and do so by appealing to the widest
audience possible. Pop music itself changes over time, but pop
stations are where you'll hear the likes of Michael Jackson,
Britney Spears, Spice Girls and Girls Aloud.
Classic Rock: Now that Alt-Rock is known as Rock, and former
Rock bands are sounding a little quaint to many listeners, where
does that leave the 60's, 70's and 80's Rock bands? They are now
conveniently packed under the term Classic Rock, a massive
category that can include anything from The Beatles to Van
Halen.
New Wave: A marketing-derived term originally used by record
companies to describe many of the Synthpop and New Romantic
post-punk British bands of the late 1970's and early 1980's.
This is a very broad label and was eventually used to describe
anything from Depeche Mode to A-Ha.
So it turns out that genres and classifications are constantly
evolving, bands are moving between genres and even the
definitions themselves are subject to interpretation.
An artist like Neil Young is a good example of the way in which
musicians vex the music geeks. At the beginning of his career,
Young played with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Still, Nash
and Young. He would have been typically classified as a Rock
musician, with a leaning toward Folk.
Then Neil went through a phase where he moved toward a Country
sound, again with a touch of Folk. Harvest is pretty
representative of this period, but then came Rock again with
songs such as Like A Hurricane. From out of nowhere, he veered
into Electronic with an album that was so unexpected, he ended
up in a fight with his record label over whether the release
satisfied his contractual obligation they basically argued
that Re-Ac-Tor was so out there, it "shouldn't count as a Neil
Young record."
Young went through a bit of a Rockabilly phase, then eventually
sashayed into Grunge, with his Rockin' In The Free World single
being adopted by Grunge converts as an anthem. From there,
Harvest Moon swayed dangerously close to Adult Contemporary, and
now he appears to be back to his Folk roots.
So how on earth do you classify Neil Young? Well, you could
choose to break his career into phases and classify each of
those individually, or do the safe thing and file him under
Classic Rock. There's a good weekend worth of arguing over this
one, and don't think it won't happen.
And of course, you can combine any of the categories and
classifications in an attempt to define a band. The Police, for
example, defy a straightforward definition and so become a
compound categorization: reggae-influenced, new wave, post-punk,
power-pop trio.
Simple, isn't it?

For different people, the value of life holds different
weights. Success is defined differently depending on one's
perspective. Today, many life-changing philosophies express the
value of achievement and fulfillment within the confines of
finding a tangible passion. In the pursuit of happiness, people
turn to life coaches and inspirational giants to help them
achieve the success that they desire.
One of these giants is Tony Robbins. Already regarded as a
successful life coach and motivational speaker, Robbins
possesses a positive outlook that he willingly shares. Thinking
the Robbin's Way has become a philosophy that is applied to
reach one's life potential, financial freedom, and purpose
driven living. His status and charm suggests that finding a
dynamic journey towards a life of success is possible.
The Robbins' Philosophy can be summarized in this quote: The
only true security in life comes from knowing that every single
day you are improving yourself in some way. These words of
wisdom suggest two things which are improvement come from the
science of achievement and achievement breeds an intricate art
of life fulfillment. Knowing that there is room for improvement
and focusing all our energies to reach our potential transcends
the boundaries and limitations set even by the institutional
structures today. As one can say, success knows no race, gender,
religion, or financial status.
Tony Robbins also believes in transforming your dreams into
reality. By following certain rules to become a result-oriented
person, following a direction towards a vision will help make
you the success that you believe you are. Tony Robbins helps
build the foundation to drive a different outlook to life.
Whatever your goals are, his philosophy will always help you
find the momentum to achieve it.
Tony Robbins' intricate thoughts contain a plethora of
different ideas. First, he maintains the importance of the
physical body in connection with one's emotional state.
Controlling the physical state will prevent you from making
emotional decisions that can go wrong most of the time. Another
important note is his view on the importance of reflection.
Having regular reflection will allow you to ask questions about
yourself as a feedback to your actions. Thus, the quality of
your life is proportional to the quality of questions you ask
yourself.
Reflection and meditation is perhaps the one important thing
that people overlook. Meditation and self-talk puts us in a
position where we rate ourselves and give ourselves our own
life-score. Knowing our life-score will let us know where we are
and how to get where we want to be. Tony Robbins emphasizes that
understanding ones self will keep us in constant check with our
sense of achievement and fulfillment.
Tony Robbins also borrows the psychological concepts of pain
and pleasure and how rewards and hurting can help mold our
outlook in life. Tony Robbins also values creativity during the
time of routine and as a tool to escape being stuck. Doing the
unexpected is a way to break out our shell and move forward.
Finding the ability to visualize your goals and tasks ahead will
help you achieve a sense of fulfillment for every step of
success that allows you to move forward. For Tony Robbins,
visualizing achievements gives you something to feel good about.
The philosophy of Tony Robbins is definitely a part of an
inspiring message that one can master. Whether you are achieving
financial success or reaching your life potential, structuring
our lives under the philosophies of inspirational giants and
life coaches such as Tony Robbins will help you set a clearer
path toward your ultimate goals.

The Setting for Online Education
Today's fast changing landscape has drawn a hazy line between
the importance of classical university education and online
education degrees. A mobile workforce has given reference to
output rather than looking through experience given by
traditional education and skill. The world has changed to give a
head start for quick decision makers and fast thinkers. In this
setting, earning a degree does not seem as a tall order as it
seems.
Alternative education is holding ground for employers and
students alike. Online education was once given the label as
inferior education. But today, employers are even offering
reimbursement for their employees who are willing to take the
risk of acquiring an online education degree.
Finding the Advantages in Online Education Degrees
The relevance of online education degrees started with the
shift in teaching methods found in the internet and traditional
schooling. With the advent of the internet and the current Web
2.0, training styles are being upgraded and challenging courses
are now being developed. Internet based learning also offers a
wide variety of material along different media formats. In this
way, students are taught to learn in a dynamic environment which
can't be easily duplicated in a classroom setting. Therefore,
most employers find graduates of online education more
motivated, output oriented, and more flexible to different
stimuli.
The industry is now coming into the light on the advantages of
online education over traditional schooling. There are two forms
of this education. These are continuing education and degree
focused programs. Continuing education aims in developing and
polishing a specific set of skills. These trainings can include
basic computer programming, software training, and refresher
courses of the latest engineering and medical trends. The goal
of continuing education is too update career professional and
other individuals who seek to sharpen their comparative
advantage.
Meanwhile getting online education degrees focuses on online
training programs to arrive at an academic credit. These credits
may include licensures, Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, and
even PhD. Degree-focused online education is embraced by the
premier universities across nations. Such a trend has enveloped
the consciousness of the student population, the workforce, and
the leading industries.
The value of college degrees have never waned. However, the
methods to get these degrees have become more varied. Distance
learners find that even highly structured subjects such as
management training are being offered online. The possibilities
of online education degrees are endless.
The Litmus Test on Online Education
Online education represents the core of how things are learned
today. At a time of breakneck information dissemination, nearly
anyone can enter the market and be a productive part of an
industry. The 21st century trend looks at the value of
creativity in an individual sense as a contributing factor to
society and wealth creation rather than the structures of
competition. That is why it is not surprising that 21st century
educators use online education exhaustively as a medium to bring
their message. Online education is continually challenging
traditional methods of education.
In another perspective, online education questions traditional
degrees. Most employers fall into statistical discrimination as
they choose applicants who come from prime universities.
However, the development of this kind of education brings a
message that traditional learning should not be the measuring
stick for career success. It is always the alternative voice
that states the value of experience, ability, output
orientation, and dynamism as tools to get ahead in life. As
Jamie McIntyre implies, degrees are not as useful if it only
teaches you how to work hard. Instead, continuing online
education and online education degrees shows us that output,
dynamics, and skills are much more important than the name in
the front of one's diploma.
In this sense, 21st century trends and voices of 21st century
educators agree with the value of online education degrees as
vehicle for career development and financial success.

Home owners who are struggling to keep up with their mortgage
repayments are being hounded by so-called "mortgage rescue
firms" who promise to save potential evictees from home
repossession.
The cost of borrowing has increased considerably over the past
year due to rising interest rates. Previously low mortgage
repayments have increased significantly for some home owners,
particularly if their mortgage contains a variable interest rate
or a discount rate period that has expired.
The increase in monthly mortgage repayments has lead to a rapid
rise in mortgage arrears and possession orders. Home owners who
are facing repossession and eviction have become easy targets
for mortgage rescue firms who promise to stop the repossession
process and help the home owners to stay on their properties as
tenants.
Mortgage rescue firms come in various forms from large,
national firms to small companies operating as sole traders in
local areas. The mortgage rescue firm will typically offer the
distressed home owner a heavily discounted price for their
property and allow them to remain in the property as a rent
paying tenant.
The amount of money offered for the properties varies
considerably. It will usually depend on how much money the
distressed home owner owes on their mortgage balance plus any
arrears that have accumulated. This amount can sometimes be less
than half the value of the property on the open market.
While this may seem unreasonable, the point of the exercise is
to rescue the property owner from repossession and many years of
financial hardship. For many individuals, this offer is
attractive enough to accept, despite the fact they will lose
thousands of pounds of equity in their home.
Normally, the mortgage rescue firm will allow the occupant to
remain in the property as a rent paying tenant. Unfortunately
for many people who accept the offer, they fail to realize that
they have no legal recourse to remain in the property long-term.
Instead, they will become a rent paying tenant on an assured
short hold tenancy agreement, and when the term expires they can
be evicted.
This is the part of the deal that property owners who are in
financial distress need to be aware of. While the repossession
process may be stopped and the home owner is allowed to remain
in the property for a short time, the mortgage rescue firm has
no obligation to allow the tenant to remain in the property over
the long term.
Home owners who sell their properties to mortgage rescue firms
should therefore attempt to negotiate a long term lease in if
they wish to obtain any form of security regarding remaining as
a tenant in the property.
Instead of contacting a rescue firm in the first instance, home
owners who are struggling to keep up with their mortgage
repayments should first attempt to find a solution with their
current lender. If they fail to find a solution the home owner
should then try to remortgage their property with another lender
provided they can afford to keep up with the repayments. By
remortgaging the individual will be able to remain in their
property and may not be forced to sell it.

If you're thinking about moving house in the next 12 months,
the first thing you'll want to know is: just how much is my home
actually worth?
A sensible first step to answering that question is to get
three local estate agents in. If you pick agents that have been
recommended to you, or have a great reputation locally, you
should get a property valuation from each that are roughly in
the same price bracket.
There are a couple of tricks to watch out for. Be aware if they
ask you what you think the house is worth. Some agents do this
not only to find out which of their competitors have valued the
property and how much for (so ensuring they can top it by a few
thousand), but also what your expectations are. A bad agent will
encourage you to list the house for sale at less than its true
property valuation, in the hope of a quick sale.
Another trick is when they push you for the reasons behind your
move. Again, unscrupulous agents can use this reason as
leverage. If you need to sell quickly because of a job move,
they could use it down the line to lever a price drop from you
or worse encourage you to under or over-price the property to
start with. You can have realistic timescale discussions with
agents once the sale process is under way, and there are
prospective buyers visiting.
On top of getting agents in, there is a way that you can work
out your own property valuation, by combining information that
is freely available on the internet with your own research. Most
agents give a fair opinion of the likely property valuation of
your home, but it's prudent for you to check yourself
especially now that so much information is available to you via
the internet.
Here are a number of things you should do to put an accurate
property valuation figure on your home. Make sure you do them
before you talk to estate agents, so your opinion isn't
influenced by the valuations you are given.
Find out what the market is doing
Keep up-to-date with property news for a few months before you
plan on putting your home up for sale. Because it seems to be a
national obsession, you will soon work out what's happening to
the market. Often the national picture can be a little different
locally, so get in the habit of buying your local newspaper and
checking the property pages. Don't base your opinion on one
piece of news. There are many firms and organisations that do
surveys and release information on the state of the property
market. Keep notes of what you read and look back at the overall
picture after a number of months.
Pound the pavements
Visit local estate agents, tell them you are considering
selling your house and ask them what's happening with the local
market. Most will be happy to help, particularly if you pop in
during a quiet time. Whatever they tell you ask for evidence,
in the form of recent properties sold, reductions in house
prices, etc. Again you are looking for trends across a number of
agents rather than evidence from one.
Look at what's sold recently
The Land Registry collects data about every property that is
sold in the UK. Three months after the sale it releases the
price paid. That's gold dust, as you can look at similar
properties to yours in the area and how much they sold for. Be
aware that sales more than 12 months old will have old data
that's really no good to you. And make allowances about how
things like a conservatory or a new kitchen will make a
difference in the property valuation. You can access Land
Registry data with a simple internet search.
Look at what's for sale now
Search through property portals for similar properties. This is
your best indication of what your house could be worth. Also
look through local newspaper's property pages for more
information about local homes for sale.
Remember, a little research will not only make your sale
easier, but could even get you a higher property valuation
resulting in more cash in your pocket.

'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill - Part Two (from Inspirational Books)
Submitter's Note:
This article (in point form) has been adapted from
(and is a summary of) the excellent motivational and up-lifting book, the classic 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill, published by Melvin Powers, Wilshire Book Co Ca. 1966, 1960, 1937). I have also included some personal thoughts and ideas, which in sharing, I hope may be helpful to you.
Craig has been studying the principles of success (and successful living) and researching the amazing powers of the human mind for the past fifteen years. He is sharing his insights with the aim of helping others reach their full potentials in life. That is my reason for sharing this piece - to encourage others to follow their personal dreams in life.
*
STEP 5: IMAGINATION. This is your own "workshop", where you fashion ideas. All the "breaks" (opportunities) you ever need in life are waiting within your imagination. Use the amazing untapped creativity within you to solve any problem and stimulate your imagination. Ideas are the sources of all fortunes ever made; they are the products of our imagination. Clerk Asa Chandler spent his life's savings of $500 on an idea for an ingredient. He supplied (and applied) the imagination, which turned the "magic" formula into a fortune...which is now the world wide mega-corporation that is Coca-Cola.
Chandler had a burning desire to make his investment work.
Big achievers have an obsession - they believe so fervently in their idea, product or service. Ask yourself this important question: What would I do, if I had a million dollars?
A definite purpose results in a definite plan. The finest tool still needs a man who knows how to use it.
There are many other simple ideas. It doesn't even have to be original - you can come up with a new combination of them.
STEP 6: ORGANIZED PLANNING
Defeat makes you stronger.
Sell services and ideas.
Leaders and followers. Most great leaders began as followers.
The "11 secrets of leadership"
Here are a couple...
1. unwavering courage
2. enlisting the co-operation of others - you can't do it alone.
etc (for the rest see my article on principles of leadership).
Leaders by force: like Napoleon Bonaparte, Mussolini and Hitler. However, this style of leadership is only temporary; thus it is far better to lead by consent.
Why many leaders fail? An inability to organize details.
(My weakness, but something to work on).
5 ways to get a good job:
find a job you like to do - one you perhaps even love!
31 ways to fail???
Market yourself.
There is abundance everywhere, opportunity everywhere in the Universe. You just have to look for it; then you'll find plentiful abundance. The 'capital' lies within yourself. Success requires no explanations; whilst failure permits no alibis.
7. DECISION: Make quick and definite decisions. Instant decisions make history. (I change mine quickly and often - a weakness, I'm working on). Henry Ford persisted in manufacturing the Model T, the world's ugliest car, when all his advisers were urging him to change it.
(For years well-meaning people told me to give up writing and get a "proper" job. Perhaps they were right- ha ha!)
Opinions are cheap. Geniune wisdom is usually displayed through modesty and silence.
A great desire for freedom brings freedom (as evidenced in the life of Nelson Mandela); a great desire for wealth brings wealth. Every powerful man has within him his own power.
STEP 8: PERSISTENCE.
The magic of "money consciousness". Defeat is a temporary condition - one is only defeated until a person accepts defeat in their own mind. Anyone can learn persistence. It's a state of mind which can be cultivated. You too can learn to be a dog, who won't let go of their bone. Persistance is caused by (as well as being made up of) these traits:
* definiteness of purpose
* desire (strong)
* self reliance
* definiteness of plans
* accurate knowledge - knowing that your plan or idea is sound
* courage (great)
* will power
* enlisting the co-operation with others. The art of getting other people to help you in moving towards your goals, desires and dreams. In exchange you can offer them something.
* habit, ie. developing good habits.
Anyone can criticize. You make your own "breaks" (opportunities) in life. Thomas A Edison had less than 3 months formal schooling. As the saying goes: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."
9. THE INCREDIBLE POWER OF THE HUMAN MIND. Power is essential for success in the accumulation of money (don't know if I agree with that statement, Mr Hill???).
Use more brains than your own. This is the process of synergy at work, ie 1 + 1 = 3. Henry Ford shot ahead, when he become friendly with Thomas A Edison, Harvey Firestone, John Burroughs and Luther Burbank. Ford shared his thoughts with them and asked for their advice and input. His good friends weren't just "sounding boards to run past" his ideas.
There is a great wealth of knowledge in books like this. Read, think and meditate as you read.
PLAN and organize to get rich. Poverty needs no plan; so staying poor is easy. The energy of the human mind shows itself to the world in your ENTHUSIASM. It's infectious and is a vital characteristic of nearly all successful people.
So they are excited and fervently believe in their "pathway of destiny". They love what they do ("do what you love and the money will follow").
Happiness is found not merely in possessing; but in doing and especially in BEING...
and what you become along the amazing journey of life.
Craig Lock (Eagle Productions, NZ)
"Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are
the children of your soul, the blueprints of your
ultimate accomplishments."
- Napoleon Hill
"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead
where there is no path and leave a trail."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Success to others may be apparent in what you DO; but
significance, meaning and purpose lies, then reveals itself
in what you ARE and BECOME down the 'river of life' - how
and the spirit with which you face, then overcome the daily
obstacles, the frequent trials and tribulations along the
often rocky path-way of life's magical and mysterious
journey. Light your path brightly."
"The task ahead of you can always be overcome by the power within
you...and the often seemingly difficult or even "impassible") path
ahead of you is never as steep with the great spirit that lies
within you."
"Do not follow the well-beaten track of others towards success -
like the rainbow, it is often an illusion always just beyond
our reach. Make your own path and let your spirit blaze a
brilliant trail towards the pot of gold, the prize for the
gift - one that is uniquely you and YOUR successful journey
down the mysterious and magical river of life."
"Our Greatest Good is perhaps not to achieve wealth and share our material possessions, our money and 'riches' with others, but through encouragement and faith in other people, to lay the firm foundation of revealing the rich treasure that lies within themselves."
- craig

"Life is about finding, then following the dream...
and one's dream/vision comes to reality through
believing in yourself, making the commitment and then creating it."

The Government introduced the compulsory seatbelt law 25 years
ago. It says that this has saved prevented 60,000 deaths since
1993.
However, a significant number of people are still ignoring the
compulsory law to wear a seatbelt in the rear of cars which came
in 17 years ago. Surveys suggest that many people still do not
realize it is compulsory to wear a seatbelt in the rear of cars.
Without a seatbelt you are 30 times more likely to be thrown
from a car after an accident, and three quarters of people
thrown from a car are killed!
Even if you are fortunate enough not to be killed when not
wearing a seatbelt, you are much more likely to be seriously
injured if you fail to wear a seatbelt. Most new cars are fitted
with safety devices designed to minimise your injury in the
event of an accident. But all of these systems are designed to
work most efficiently when the user is wearing a seatbelt.
In addition, if you are involved in an accident and suffer
injury whilst not wearing a seatbelt, any claim for compensation
will be reduced by at least 25% for "contributory negligence",
in effect, your decision not to protect yourself whilst wearing
a seatbelt.
1stClaims Director Comment
As a personal injury solicitor myself dealing with accident
compensation claims for 14 years I have seen the horrific
results that can be caused by a road traffic accident. I have
also heard many other dreadful true stories. The worst one was
from a solicitor friend of mine. Please read on if you do not
wear seatbelts, or a member of your family doesn't.
My friend was acting for the girlfriend of a deceased passenger
who had been sitting in the same car as she had when they were
involved in an accident. He has been sitting directly behind her
in the rear of the car when the collision occured but had not
been wearing his seatbelt.
At the inquest the girlfriend asked the coroner what would have
happened if her boyfriend had been wearing his seatbelt. The
coroner replied that sadly there would probably not have been an
inquest because the boyfriend would have survived.
It is tragic events like this, and the death of Diana, that
prove beyond doubt that wearing seatbelts is compulsory for very
good reason, it saves lives.
Please ensure that you wear seatbelts, not only to comply with
the law, or not even to, but to ensure your loved ones do not
need to hear the coroner tell them what happened if you had not
been so stubborn and put your seatbelt on.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
One of the biggest challenges for the new collector is
determining which pieces of vintage costume jewelry are most
profitable to target and which to avoid. While fine jewelry was
often hand-made using precious materials like diamonds and
rubies, costume pieces were made in mass batches using
semi-precious materials like quartz and topaz. However, you
should never mistake vintage costume jewelry with the cheap
glittery garbage you see in most department stores today.
American soldiers were the first to purchase costume jewelry in
French boutiques during WWI, making the jewelry widely popular
after they returned home. In fact, by the end of the 1920's, the
once-European industry was dominated by American companies like
Coventry, Eisenberg, and Coro creating many of the most prized
collectible pieces.
Profitable collecting definitely boils down to identifying the
valuable pieces while avoiding the pretty but worthless ones.
Ultimately, the value of any piece is determined by:
Supply
Demand
Design
Materials
Condition
If other pricing factors are held constant, then the rarity of
the piece will greatly determine value. With so many producers
of costume jewelry, no uniform batch size was established,
causing supply to vary dramatically according to manufacturer.
Production runs tended to be relatively large for big companies
like Coro and Brooks, producing a larger market supply, and thus
less demand.
As with any product or service, greater demand will always
translate into a higher price. Eisenberg jewelry will likely
always be a hot item in the collectibles market, but be on the
lookout for Miriam Haskell pieces as they are popular at the
moment. Some designs are collectible while others are not.
Learning to tell the difference between the two will ultimately
determine whether collecting is profitable or just a hobby.
Remember, the most popular designs are not necessarily the
prettiest or most unique, but they will be more profitable to
collect. However, demand for a particular piece is stimulated
most often by the actual design of the jewelry.
Collecting vintage costume jewelry for profit is complicated by
the fact that most of the pieces are actually unsigned. Seasoned
collectors will not hesitate to shun a signed piece in favor of
an unsigned one featuring a unique and impressive design, as
unsigned jewelry tends to be undervalued and the most profitable
to collect. One sure way to identify a particular manufacturer
is by design. Some manufacturers consistently produced pieces of
exceptional design and are highly coveted by collectors like
those made by Bogoff and Hollycraft.
Although the design is critical to the overall demand of any
particular piece, the materials and construction techniques used
to make the jewelry ultimately validates or repudiates the
legitimacy of the design. Pay particular attention to the type
and quality of gemstones on any given piece since the stones
will greatly affect value. Gemstones of exceptional quality were
consistently used by a few of the major manufacturers such as:
Bogoff
Bergere
Weiss
Eisenberg
As is the case with any vintage costume piece, final antique
value assessment will ultimately be based upon condition of the
piece. But remember, even vintage pieces showing considerable
signs of wear can still command $100 or more. By knowing what to
look for, seasoned vintage costume or fashion jewelry collectors
can still make great profits even off of slightly damaged or
worn pieces.

Article Title: 9 Questions To Ask A Hypnotist Before Making An

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
Some people are nervous when making a first appointment with a
hypnotist or hypnotherapist (terms used interchangeably).
Understandably so because this is a new venture for you, and
you've probably heard a lot of misinformation on the subject.
Here are some questions to ask your potential practitioner so
you can get the info you need to feel comfortable before
committing to an appointment. Ask those that are most important
to you.
1. "How long have you been doing this work?"
Maybe the fee is very low, you'd really like to give a newbie a
chance, or you have outstanding rapport with this particular
practitioner. Otherwise, don't choose a rank beginner to
hypnotize you on an issue of great importance. Choose someone
with at least 2-3 years of solid experience or much more. If you
can save on the fee, a beginner might be a good choice for
issues like mild stress or a desire to relax more.
2. "Where were you trained/certified, when, and how many CEU's
(continuing-education units) do you take per year to update your
skills in the field?"
Even if you don't recognize the name of the certifying
institution, at the very least, make sure it was not a quickie
online training but substantial and in person. Ask how many
hours of training s/he had.
After certification, according to the National Guild of
Hypnotists, a leading source of education and certification, a
hypnotherapist is required to take at least 15 CEU's a year to
maintain certification. I prefer thirty or more.
Continual training keeps us updated on the field, teaches us
new techniques and gives us many opportunities to practice them
before using them with clients. It also gives us the chance to
meet other practitioners, hear their ideas and fine tune our
own.
As a client, you deserve to work with someone who continually
re-educates herself and refines her techniques. You may also
want to know where she was trained.
3. "My issue is (related to) ________. Have you worked with
that?"
Many of us work frequently with dieters and people who want to
stop biting their nails or start exercising. But for rarer
issues, you'll want to choose someone who has worked with at
least a few clients needing similar assistance.
For instance, if you tell me your goal concerns the
metaphysical, I'll refer you to my colleague who revolves much
of his practice around that subject, but if you are concerned
with attracting the right person for youor reliably quitting
smoking I'm a top choice.
The more experienced the practitioner, the more likely she can
work with rarer, more elusive problems or desiresif there is no
local expert on the subject.
4. "Would you tell me about your process?"
What is meant here is: how does this practitioner work? If you
asked me about my process, I would reply begin by asking several
important questions about the issue you've come to change:
What is it that you want or desire? If you achieved it, what
would it give you or make possible for you? And in what other
ways might it impact your life? How will you know (physically,
mentally, emotionally, spiritually) that you have it?
A lot to think about, I know.
And after you take a moment to answer and digest some of that
I'll ask you if you're truly willing to resolve the issue or
create the thing you say you desire.
Because there are downsides--what might you lose?
When you meet with me for your first appointment, I'll usually
test to uncover which hypnosis methods seem best for you, tell
you what to expect when hypnotized, and then begin the process.
I'll remind you that it can be a very pleasant experience,
often relaxing, and after answering your questions, I'll request
that you simply follow my directions, and allow yourself to
drift into the hypnotic state.
Pay attention both to what the practitioner is saying and to
how you feel conversing with her on the phone and during your
appointment. Both are important. On a personal note, as a
client, I would also want to get a sense of both ability and
willingness to individualize to respond to my needs.
5. "How many sessions will it usually take to work on this?"
Your practitioner may not be able to give you a definitive
answer because she doesn't yet know your entire situation, but a
range is useful.
For instance, in my experience, nail biting has often required
as few as one session, and occasionally as many as three, but
rarely more. Dating issues may involve more sessions, as
multiple issues unfold during the process.
I often give clients homework, sometimes including lessons in
self hypnosis, to speed the process and help them develop
autonomy. If you like the idea, ask your practitioner if she'll
do that, and be willing to add a session or two to allow a good
learning experience.
Please don't hold her prisoner to the exact number of sessions
she estimated. As your needs unfold during your time with her,
and she gets to know you as a learner, a multi-dimensional human
being, and a hypnotic subject, she may need to reassess her
initial expectation.
6. "How has your success been with this issue?"
You don't need a statistical success rate, but more a feel for
the level of experience and comfort in dealing with the subject.
7. "Do you give homework?"
I can often speed up the process if the client agrees to do
work at home. It can save time and money, help you take more
responsibility for yourself, and make you more self sufficient
for the future. But if you prefer to give useful input and then
just relax and let go, that's just fine.
If you intend to be out of town for any length of time, you may
inquire as to whether she'll do phone sessions. With so many
clients who have frequent business trips and don't want to be
away from our sessions for long, I have recently added this to
my practice with powerful results. Some clients also purchase my
self-hypnosis CD which they transfer to their i-pods expressly
for business trips.
8. "What is the cost? And how can I get the most from our
sessions?"
Clients often make the mistake of choosing the practitioner
with the lowest stated rate. Most of us like to save money. But
the one who quotes $95 a session may be a far weaker choice that
one who charges $175, and could take three times as long to get
the job done, though not always.
One may prepare you to do further work on your own for
reinforcement, while another may not teach you how to help
yourselfcosting more in the long run and encouraging less
autonomy.
Location (office rental costs) and ongoing professional
education can also impact cost. Experience and ability should
count in the final analysis in addition to rapport and specific
knowledge about your area of interest or need.
To get more from a session, arrive with a clear idea of what
you want. Give a direct explanation of your issue as you see it,
when it emerges, and what discomfort or negative results it
causes. Express what you would want instead (i.e., confidence in
social situations vs. nervousness or fear.) If the practitioner
has useful insights that expand upon the issue you describedand
they feel trueencourage her to add to the interpretation of the
issue.
Ask questions if you don't understand instructions given
anytime during the session.
Keep every appointment or reschedule if you need to, with
adequate notice. (Your practitioner will appreciate your respect
and treat you with the same.)
9. "Do you give workshops or private training in self
hypnosis?"
Many clients arrive with an overwhelming desire to fix what
seems broken in their lives. Learning self-hypnosis is the
furthest thing from their minds. But later, when positive
changes are occurring, the ability to self-reinforce and enhance
the work becomes appealing. For this reason, it's good to know
whether self hypnosis training is available.
Hypnosis is a way to empower, develop, and even re-create
yourself. The right hypnotist can be a great guide and ally.
These nine questions can help you find him or her. Enjoy the
journey!

Here's a predication that I know will irritate the technically
oriented Kings of SEO: Looking hard into my crystal ball, as one
does, I reckon that their days are numbered and that they are a
dying breed! Now before the techies swarm around LeadGenerators
HQ with pitchforks and flaming torches ready to silence the
web-marketing heathen, allow me to explain
Those of you who know me are no doubt well aware of my healthy
disregard for the techno-centric view of internet marketing. In
my mind, instead of technical considerations dictating what we
should try to achieve, we marketing managers should dictate what
we want and then find the technical solutions to achieve it. I
know that this attitude annoys the technocrats who seem to
dominate the online marketing world, but my approach has proved
successful in its own right.
I have always seen SEO as a two-stage process. The first is to
make sure that a client's website is search engine friendly.
This process analyses the structural elements of the site to
make sure that search engines are able to see ALL the pages of
the site and are able to rank (judge) each page in its own
right. It's a lengthy analysis that covers many aspects of the
site but it's largely a one-off project. Once done, and once the
site has been improved accordingly, the techies' work is more or
less done.
The larger, second step is all-important and all about the
content of the site itself.
For a site to achieve good rankings, we need to first select
the right keywords. I won't go into the science of keyword
research and selection, but once the best ones have been
selected for a client, we need to move into the realm of
writing, sprinkling certain keywords strategically throughout
the text and the code of each page. This is an ongoing process
which we divide into what we call `streams'. A few of the major
streams to improve the rankings of each page for its specific
keyword mix are:
KEC: The process of enriching the texts in the site with the
right amount of keywords and phrases.
Coding: Adding in the right keywords for each page into the
meta tags.
Links: (reciprocal and one way): Getting good links from
other sites that are well ranked for the same keywords that we
are using. This includes forum participation, involvement in
social media and other elements of Web2.0.
Web PR: Submitting keyword rich articles to the syndicated
news feeds for the purposes of achieving both links and market
exposure.
The common denominator for all the above tasks is good writing
and communication skills, combined with good old-fashioned
common sense, which most technically minded people aren't best
suited to provide. It is the writers and communicators not the
programmers who have delivered our best results in the past
and will continue to do so in the future.
There is a rather tacky expression in the SEO community that
says "Content is King". I would like to get a little tackier if
I may: If content is King, then the up and coming Princes of SEO
must surely be the writers and communicators.
Just a thought and I look forward to comments.

Thanks to the Internet and digital cameras there's a hugh
market now for selling all kinds of photos featuring themes,
styles, topics,etc.
Learning how to make money with your camera via the Internet
can be relatively easy. All you need is to have the
determination and initiative to give this endeavor everything.
This will ensure that you make the first move to making the
business a success.
How easy could it get than taking photographs with a camera and
sell them making money while doing it.You don't have to be a
professional photographer or have any special skills to get
started in this exciting money making opportunity. If you have a
digital camera and a computer with Internet access you're ready
to start earning money.
Most everyone enjoys taking photographs whether at family
gatherings, birthdays, weddings, etc. so why not turn what you
enjoy doing into cash. You say, that's all well and good and
sounds like something I would love to do but how do I go about
selling my photographs and who buys them?
The market for photographs is huge. Estimates show magazines
and newspapers buy over 50 million photos a year.
There are lots of people and businesses that will pay you for
taking pictures. Just to name a few:
* Marketers
* Writers
* Magazine Editors
* Scrap Bookers
* Business People
* Travel Agents
* Realtors
* Web Designers
There are many other markets that you can check out that you
can sell photographs to.
These people pay for photographs of places, cars, people,
houses, etc. You can make a good commission by taking pictures
of vehicles for sell in your local area and uploading them onto
Ebay Motors. If you are a sports buff you can even make money
taking pictures of sports events.
Before you start your exciting money making journey you will
need to do your home work and research the stock photograph
market. There are quite a few of these sites you can check out
for what photographs are popular and in demand. Start out slow.
Practice taking pictures of different things (indoors and
outdoors) from different angles and lighting; keeping a record
of which settings give the best picture because the better
quality pictures are the ones that people are going to buy.
The great part about this job is you can do it part time and
still earn up to hundreds of extra dollars a week. This would
especially appeal to stay-at-home-moms, students, retirees as
well as others. You can set your own hours and schedule. Work as
much or as little as you want.
Another great thing about making money with your camera is you
don't even have to have a website, requires no shipping, doesn't
involve adult or pornographic content and doesn't require some
high tech camera.
To be a success in making money taking photographs includes
locating the best revenue sources for your type of work.
Depending on what method you choose to market your photographs
with, you can either sell them per download via sites such as
Stock and Prints, Crestock, iStockphoto, etc. or local Business
People, Magazines, Newspapers, Travel Agents, Realtors,
Weddings, Portraits or even directly to clients on a contract
basis. Photographers are needed in many fields. People celebrate
special occasions more today with photography, than they did
years ago. Travel and advertising businesses have a greater need
for landscape, travel and nature shots. Drop by these places and
let them know you're in the photography business.
There's never been a better time than now to become a Freelance
Digital Photographer.

The world of HGV insurance has never exactly been the most
thrilling, and while I'm aware that writing an article on what
to look out for in haulage insurance is enough to put a good
deal of my readers into a narcoleptic coma, I nonetheless think
it's an important, and sometimes confusing, issue worth
covering. I hope that this article will prove to be of some use
for those struggling in reams of small print and clauses.
Firstly, you may ask why you need insurance. That is to say,
why you need specific UK truck insurance, because obviously
there's a legal requirement to have basic vehicular cover to be
on British roads in the first place. Extra cover, like goods in
transit lorry insurance can seem a lot of extra hassle to
arrange, and an unnecessary cost in times when some owner
operators and haulage companies are trying hard to make ends
meet, but it's worth considering the extra security your
customers will feel knowing their goods are properly protected.
Well publicised UK lorry insurance can lend an extra air of
legitimacy to an unproven owner operator starting out for the
first time. And of course it's not just about appearances if
goods are damaged on the road and you're not insured, you're
going to have to either pay for the damages yourself, or endure
a drawn out legal battle with someone who could have become a
good customer. Likewise, if the employees of a big haulage
company have an accident and blame the owners, some kind of
protection can make all the difference towards an amiable
resolution.
So here's a rundown to the types of UK truck insurance on
offer, and what they provide. Some are compulsory, while others
are optional and it's up to you to decide whether you can do
without them, though obviously I have my own views that I shall
share along the way
Vehicle Insurance
Any vehicle on the road must be insured - that's a legal
requirement which most people are aware of, and naturally it
counts for lorries as well! This is obviously a major expense
for owner operators starting out, so it actually makes sense to
see how prices compare for different lorries before you decide
which type you intend to purchase, allowing you to save on your
vehicle's haulage insurance.
Goods in Transit Truck Insurance
It's worth stumping up the extra cash for 'Goods in Transit'
insurance as well. This will protect your cargo against loss and
damage, which can offer real peace of mind when you're loading
up delicate valuable into the back of the truck. Be sure the
haulage insurance you select will cover you to a high enough
value if you're claiming for damage to items worth £20,000,
and you only have goods in transit truck insurance for goods
valued up to £10,000 then you're going to be paying half the
damages!
Your main insurance company might cover this, but if not, then
it's very easy to get this from specialist UK lorry insurance
dealers. This is especially worth considering for new owner
operators, as it makes you seem more legitimate and people will
feel they have the peace of mind to take a chance on you, in all
your untested glory.
Public Liability
This one may not be as necessary as the other two, but is still
worth considering, especially for new owner operators with
butter fingers! This aspect of UK lorry insurance will cover you
for incidents involving your customers, for example if you drop
their entire batch of pianos on their foot. It does more for
backup basically, and gives you extra legal grounding should
accidents happen.
Continental Lorry Insurance
This one is something that's either essential or pointless,
depending on how you do business, but it's really easy to work
out, of course: Do you spend any of your work hours delivering
loads abroad on the continent? If yes, then you need continental
haulage insurance, if not you can save that money and stick to a
UK truck insurance policy.
These options vary between essential and optional, but all
should be carefully considered it really doesn't pay to cut
corners to make a short term saving, and HGV insurance can
really offer you some essential leeway should things go wrong,
whether you own a fleet of freight vehicles or are a humble
owner operator. If you are looking to insure an entire fleet
with lorry insurance, it's worth remembering that discounts are
often available and wide ranging, so don't be afraid to shop
around!

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
The Alfa Romeo 166 is an illustrious member of the Alfa Romeo
family, and the Italian automaker has kept this tradition with a
long fruitful production period from 1998 to 2007. This
executive class car has its own unique appearance that is
synonymous with the Alfa Romeo line; the pointed nose and the
drooping headlights. The 166 was the successor of the 164 which
also possessed and stuck to its reputation of unorthodox
features, which the automaker considers to be "corporate" in
stature.
This 4 door Sedan with an FF Layout, has a wheel base of 2720mm
(107 inches), a height of 1416mm (55.7 in), a generous length of
4720 (185.8 in), and a width of 1810mm (71.2 in) making the Alfa
Romeo 166 one of the heftiest Sedans on the market. But
nevertheless, the 166 still received rave reviews for its
handling distinctiveness, stylish designed exterior and the
range of its engines.
The four different types of engines that the Alfa Romeo 166
were available with at the time of production are: a 2.0-litre
Twin Spark engine (155PS), a 3.0 V6 (226PS), a 2.5 V6 (190PS) or
a V6 2.0 Turbo (205PS). Whereas the diesel engine came in a L5
2.4 10v common rail turbodiesel edition with a 136, 140, and 150
PS yields. The 3.0, L5 2.4 and the V6 Turbo were distributed
with a six speed manual gearbox, while the 2.5 and the 3.0 had
the choice of a Sportronic automatic, and the TS model possessed
a five speed gearbox.
The Alfa Romeo 166 had many problems with overall marketing and
sales of the vehicle; in spite of its rave reviews, it was out
done in sales by the stronger German made brands, and because of
its immense depreciation factors in the UK. The car would be
sold for roughly 30,000 British Pounds and its fall within a
year would in the ballpark of a ghastly 13,000 British Pounds.
It simply did not work out financially strong in the ending for
its customers.
And even though, the 166 underwent a substantial makeover in
2003, it was still withdrawn from the right-hand drive markets
in October 2005, because sales of the car still didn't increase.
A few markets kept the marketing of the 166 strictly to the
company car arenas where it may still be well received, and
where it built its standing.
Even though with all of its highlighted shortcomings, the Alfa
Romeo 166 still possessed its poise and grandeur of its lineage
and will go on, and morph into something else, that is certainly
to become another trend setter in the Alfa Romeo family.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
The 2007 NBA draft class was the most hyped and highly covered
of any draft class in the last five years and maybe even this
decade and 9 of the 10 first picks were still teenagers.
Something very profound has occurred in the NBA in the past two
years due in large part to the new rule that disallows any high
school student from entering the NBA draft until they are 19
years old, requiring that they spend a year in the NCAA at a
college of their choice before they make the big jump. The 2008
draft class is looking to be infinitely deeper than last year's
as a result with freshman like Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, and
O.J. Mayo shaping up to be some of the most exciting college
freshman in years.
New Rules, Unexpected Results
David Stern's assertion that the NBA will no longer draft
players fresh out of high school came as a bit of shock and
upset many basketball owners, players, and fans two years ago.
Essentially, his goal was to reduce the number of players who
were drafted at 18 only to sit on a bench for four years making
seven figures while they "developed" into the player everyone
thought they could become.
The results have been multi-fold. Beyond creating some of the
most exciting draft classes in recent memory, the new rule has
revitalized college basketball and turned it into a high flying,
epic sport of showmanship and superstars that might not have
ever played a day of college basketball if they were give a
chance to enter the NBA draft.
What this Means for Basketball
Now, when a superstar like O.J. Mayo or Derrick Rose graduates
from High School, they don't actually have a choice in what they
do next. They have to go to college. The NBA won't have them for
another year, so they allow the slew of college recruiters to
invade their living rooms and talk up their parents with
scholarships and perks and eventually they commit and suit up
for a college they only intend on staying at for one year.
But something very interesting happens in that one year some
sink and some don't. And this is why the new age limit is so
genius. Take Chase Budinger fore example, a sophomore at
Arizona. Two years ago, he would have entered the draft out of
High School if he could of. He had the raw talent that scouts
used to look for, hoping to find the next big high school
superstar.
Unfortunately, only some players are actually as good as High
School makes them look. Sure, LeBron James looked incredible and
at 18 years of age was incredible in the NBA he adjusted fast.
But Budinger made the NCAA and discovered he was not NBA ready
he was hardly NCAA ready. He had had it too easy in High School,
making him look much better than he was.
So, he stuck with college and will likely finish out his four
year career there, becoming better and readying himself for a
possible shot at the draft.
Long Term Results
While the players may not enjoy the prospect that they must
wait on that seven figure contract for four more years or maybe
even not at all, but the results are incredible for basketball.
As a result, no longer do we see the draft littered with bust
picks of players who had all the potential in the world but who
had never been tested. The college ranks are better than ever at
showing what a player might be able to pull off in the NBA and
thus the freshmen who average 25 points a game and get drafted
at 19 actually deserve to be drafted. Throw in a few
international stars from a growing worldwide pool of talent, and
the draft is getting stronger every year, making basketball
better and more enjoyable for every city to watch and what more
can you honestly ask for than that?
