When you need to renew your car insurance policy you would be
wise to shop around and get several quotes before deciding on a
policy. However this is time consuming and a much quicker way is
to allow a broker to scour the market place on your behalf. They
will find you the best deal possible on a motor policy.

It is essential that you take the time to read through any
terms and conditions of car insurance policy before you purchase
as this is where you can find additional costs. It will also
tell you what the policy covers and does not cover. Again this
can vary with one company offering additional benefits for free
where another company will charge a fee.

Of course there are many ways that you can make savings when it
comes to your car insurance policy. The type of insurance you
choose to take will depend how much you will be charged. There
are three levels of insurance, these are fully comprehensive,
third party and third party fire and theft. Fully comprehensive
must be taken if your car is valued over a certain amount; fully
comp is the most comprehensive type of cover and is also the
dearest. Third party fire and theft falls in the middle and is
usually more suited to a second hand car or a younger driver.

Third party only is a very basic insurance policy that covers
any third party liability caused by you having an accident
nothing else, so offers very little protection for your vehicle.

When looking for the cheapest car insurance policy there are
many ways you can attract a discount on your premiums. For
instance you can install security features. By installing
alarms, etching your car windows, putting in a tracking system
or fitting an immobilizer you can reduce the cost of your car
insurance.

The amount you are asked to pay for your car insurance will
also depend on such factors as your age, your gender and the
amount of no claims bonus NCB or NCD- no claims discount) you
have. The more no claims bonus, then the cheaper your insurance
will be.

However new drivers will have not yet built up no claims but
can take advanced driving lessons and the added safety these
give goes a long way to reducing insurance costs. There are
specific insurance companies that will offer cheaper insurance
to younger drivers and women motorists - a broker will take this
into account when looking for cheaper cover.

While the car insurance broker will be able to find you the
cheapest car insurance policy in the end the individual should
make sure the policy is suitable. You should go over the
policies small print with a fine tooth comb to ensure that
everything is included in the policy that you need. Signing up
for cover without having read this could mean that an essential
part of the cover is missed out. For example just because one
policy includes basic breakdown assistance it does not mean they
all do. A specialist's website will hold valuable information on
all aspects of car insurance. Sometimes you can also find such
things as lists which include the top ten cheapest cars to
insure and the dearest.

How To Write A Great Resume
Whether you're looking for a job or outlining your life,
having a resume that actually gets read and acted upon is
critical. A vast majority of resumes end up going from the
envelope or "in-box" into the trash. Creating a resume that
rises to the top of the selection pile, and stays there,
requires a few key points.

Know your objective

As you go about creating your resume, understand what you
are trying to accomplish. Are you trying to tell the reader
what your job skills are or do you want to present your
life's work. These two ideas may appear the same, but when
you start to think about it they take on two differing
ideas. Once you pass this idea, select those aspects of
your skill-set that highlight your skills and present them
as they relate to the desired end. Get to specific skills
that address the end you want and remember that your space
limitations.

Narrow your skill set

You may have a wide skill-set, but do all those skills
apply to the position you are applying for? Narrow your
skill-set down so that the skills you list apply closely to
the end you are looking for. If you have a skill-set of 15
abilities, narrow the list to the top 5 or six most
applicable to the position in question. The rest can wait
for a personal interview. Do the same limiting exercise for
the interview with the remaining skills but make sure to
remember to work them into the interview conversation.

Highlight your strengths

Once you have your skill-set under control stick to those
skills through the resume. In essence, these skills are the
theme of your resume. The theme can change from position to
position, depending upon the position, but these skills are
the ideas you want to "punch" throughout the
résumé.

Be clear

Remember that you are competing for the attention of the
reader. The reader will spend very little time reading your
resume the first time around. Don't over complicate the
issue with longer words of concepts. In this respect,
consider yourself an advertising copy writer. Hit them hard
with a short description and move on. Generally, think
about a smart person with a very short attention span.

Use grabbing techniques

Since you are trying to get noticed, you need to use ideas
that will stand out from a distance. Use visual cues that
might be noticed if a person is walking past a desk and
glances at a pile sitting on it. But remember, just because
the resume is on top of the pile doesn't mean that it will
stay there for long. Ideally, you want your resume to be
picked up and read by a person just sitting down or quickly
thumbing through a folder that was just opened and begun to
be looked at. Use %, #'s, $ or bullet points for a
noticeable quick read by the person making the first "cut."
Another great idea is the use of action words.
Interestingly enough, action words not only say that you
are a "doer" but they stand out on a page within a
sentence. Visual flow is important

Give some close thought to the layout of the resume. If the
reader has to think about picking up the resume to read it
you have likely lost the battle right from the start. Your
name, of course, needs to stand out and be right at the top
of the page because that is what gets the call back made
easily (if they want to call don't make it hard), but
remember that you need to start the readers eye working
down the page. Consider how you might use fonts to attract
and move the readers' eye and attention. Remember not to
muddle up the resume with to many fonts. Two at most is
best with a readable size. Don't go below a 10 point font
size. The big thing is that you do not want the reader to
have to work at getting through the highlights of the
resume.

Use "white space" to advantage

Many people believe that they need to cram as much
information as possible into a resume. In reality, it is
often the abundance of "white space" that gets the resume
noticed. This does not suggest leaving out your strengths
and theme but rather using the space you have to advantage.
An extra line space here or there makes the readers eye
travel toward that next relevant item on the page easier.

Know your audience

Although you may feel that you need to stick with one
resume, don't, there is absolutely no reason why you cannot
use more then one resume. Create several resumes using
different skill-set themes and layouts for differing types
of positions. The closer you can get to the skill-set that
attracts that type of person associated with that type of
job the better. Each person expects certain words to appear
on the resume outlining the person for that job. Finding
and using those "right words" is the trick.

When you are shopping for a new refrigerator, you want to take
a look at all of your options before making a purchase, because
it is something that requires a lot of thought and a lot of
research. There are three things that you want to consider
before choosing a refrigerator, and once you know these three
things, you can start your research.

1. Amount of space available – Some refrigerators are going to
be taller and wider than others, so you want to figure out how
much space you have available for your new refrigerator.

2. Money you are willing to spend – Of course, you have to
figure out how much money you have to spend on your
refrigerator. This will help you to decide which model to buy
since some models cost more than others.

3. Needs of your family – Do you have a large or a small
family? This will help you to decide what size refrigerator that
you are going to need.

Now that we know what kind of things to consider when you are
buying a refrigerator, let's take a look at the different types
of refrigerators that are available on the market, and you will
get an idea of what type of refrigerator is right for you. This
information is based on KitchenAid refrigerators, but is pretty
standard for all refrigerators.

Side by side

With this type of refrigerator, the freezer is on the left and
the refrigerator is on the right. These models are taller than
most other refrigerators and require more space than the usual
top and bottom refrigerator models because both doors have to
open. This is a good choice if you have a lot of room in your
house, but you should also know that there isn't a lot of room
in the freezer side for things that are big and bulky.

Freezer on top

This is the most common type of refrigerator, and the one that
you will see in a lot of houses. A lot of people like them
because they like to be able to easily see what is in their
freezer. They can offer a lot of options, and they are more
versatile than the side by side freezers with regards to the
amount of space that you need.

Freezer on bottom

This is the opposite of the freezer on top, and for the same
reasons that people like the freezer on top people like the
freezer on bottom. Two of the nice features are that there is
easy and quick access to things in the refrigerator part,
instead of having to stoop down, and some people feel safer with
the freezer on bottom because they don't have to worry about
something heavy falling on their head, like a turkey.

It all comes down to personal choice when you are choosing the
refrigerator that is right for you. You have to think about your
budget, your family's needs, and the amount of space that you
want. This will help you to choose a model that is right for
you.

Imagination is one of the greatest traits human beings possess.
From creative minds come works of art and advances in technology
and science. In fact, imagination touches every aspect of our
lives whether we realize it or not. But much like other
characteristics of the human mind, imagination must be nurtured
and practiced before its full potential can be reached.

Nurturing imagination takes place early in one's life,
especially in children around the age of four or five. Can you
think back to your own childhood and remember playing "cops and
robbers" or "house?" When you took part in these pretend games
and reenactments, you were allowing your mind's creativity to
expand and flourish.

Pretend play in children is a beneficial way to help a child
learn to expand their understanding of who they are and what
they like. It also helps them better grasp the knowledge of the
world around them. Pretend play even helps children with
communication skills, either with adults or with their own
peers.

Pretend play's earlier stages occur in the infant and toddler
years. Babies are learning how to develop motor skills and react
to bodily sensations. Toddlers are beginning to comprehend
objects and what their functions are in the world. As time
progresses a child is able to build on these learning
experiences and expand their play. They do this by incorporating
the personal and symbolic experiences they have seen in their
short lifetime into a pretend scenario.

When children take part in pretend play, they tend to recreate
family-related themes. If a child is playing with peers, roles
are usually assigned and conflicts may be created and resolved
by the participants. Pretend play can also be a solitary
experience for the child. Instead of role playing, the child
uses miniature cars, people and houses to recreate situations of
all kinds.

Whether a child is playing with peers or alone, the scenarios
recreated often represent a child's interpretation of the world
around them. Seeing conflicts among adults or other peers can be
incorporated into pretend play. A child may try to resolve the
conflict and produce his or her own desired outcome.

Adults play an active role in a child's pretend play. Being
around to supervise younger children is a good idea to make sure
play time is always safe. Sometimes conflicts can arise among
children, and adults need to intervene and keep things under
control. Adults can also provide materials children can use for
pretend play, making sure they are safe and age-appropriate.

By engaging in a child's pretend play, adults help convey to
kids how important playtime is and encourage imagination. Adults
can help give children ideas on how to expand on their pretend
play and let them explore all sorts of fun and creative
possibilities. And because play can encourage communication,
adults learn a great deal about a child just by watching or
interacting in their pretend play.

Pretend play is important for a child's development, and there
are countless tools and toys to help children explore their own
creativity. Encourage your child to take part in pretend play
and watch imaginations take flight.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The reason traders are called speculators is because of the
risk involved.

The "truthful" successful traders will all tell you the same
thing. It takes time, patience and experience to become a
successful commodity trader. Patience is something you will have
to dig down deep within yourself to get.

Be wary of the claims that you can make your fortune overnight
trading commodities with little or no risk.
Anytime someone feeds you that sort of hype they are more then
likely selling a 'can't lose trading course'. or a 'sure fire no
risk trading system'.. Grab your hat and run for the nearest
exit if anybody claims they can predict exactly what commodity
prices will do.

The only "EXACT" thing that ever happens when trading futures
is that the broker gets paid.

What Are Commodities.

Commodities are what make up the things we use every day.
Grains that make the corn flakes and bread we eat to cattle that
contribute the steaks we throw on the barbecue in the summer.
Also included as commodities are Gold, Silver, Foreign
Currencies and U.S. Treasury bonds to name a few.

Commodities are traded as contracts and have a definite
expiration date, unlike stocks that can be around forever,
unless of course the company goes belly up like a large number
of the Dot Com companies did in the past year or so.

The actual physical commodity does not exchange hands when
traded on the commodity exchange. It would not be a pretty sight
seeing 40,000 pounds of live hogs roaming around the trading
floors in Chicago. Instead what happens is buyers and sellers
from around the world trade paper in the form of a legally
binding contract for a specified product of a specified quantity
and quality for a specified time.

Commodity contracts expire.

It is Very important that you remember that last statement.

If the speculator decides to take delivery of the product at
the expiration of the contract they are given a receipt
indicating where the product is stored or how they can take
delivery. I'll bet you thought you'd have a thousand bushels of
corn delivered to your garage.

In the case of 'Cash Settlement', as is the case for currencies
and bonds, money transfer instructions are issued. In the normal
course of a transaction very few contracts are held to
expiration. The traders will offset their position by either
buying or selling back the contracts.

Who are the Commodity Traders?

There are two groups of people that make use commodity markets.
The main group is called 'Hedgers'. They are:

The producers like farmers and cattle ranchers that will either
buy or sell futures contracts against their physical products to
be assured of a profit. The physical products being a corn or
wheat crop.

Also in this group are the end users. Companies like Kellogg
'tm', Maxwell House Coffee 'tm', Hershey 'tm', and the big meat
packing companies need the products for their business. They
will buy or sell futures contracts to know what their cost for
material will be at a given time in the future.

To illustrate how a farmer might use the commodity market as a
hedge. A farmer has estimated that it will cost $2.00 to grow a
bushel of corn and he wants 20% profit at harvest time.
Therefore, the farmer needs $2.40 a bushel. If the current cash
price for corn is $2.40 he could sell one or more contracts of
corn for delivery in December for $2.40 / bushel.

One standard contract of corn = 5000 bushels. $2.40 x 5000 =
$12,000. Rarely will they sell contracts against their entire
crop because the crop yield is unknown.

Follow this scenario. The price of corn at harvest has dropped
to$2.20 a bushel. (Remember the farmer needs $2.40 p/ bushel.)

First, the farmer sells his crop for $2.20 a bushel. Second,
the farmer buys back the futures contracts for $2.20 for a gain
or 20 cents. The math works out like this:

Sold Futures Contract $2.40 p/bu
Offsets Position (Bought Back) $2.20 Gain $0.20
Sells corn crop to grain elevator $2.20
Total proceeds form crops and 'Hedge' $2.40 ($2.20 + .20)

The farmer gets the price he/she needed by using the commodity
markets as a hedge against lower crop prices to realize a 20%
profit.

Here is how it would have worked out had corn prices increased.
For our example let's say corn prices increased to $2.55 at
harvest. Great news for the farmer. Right? Not necessarily. The
farmer gave up future profit to be assured of a known profit at
harvest time

Sold futures contract (Hedge) $2.40
Offset position (Bought back contracts) $2.55 Loss -$0.15
Sells corn crop to grain elevator $2.55 p/bu
Total proceeds from crops and 'Hedge' $2.40 ($2.55 - .15)

As you can see the farmer still realizes a crop price of $2.40.
It's actually a little more complicated than that but it should
give you some idea of how the commodity markets work for
producers. The end users use the hedge in much the same way.

The other players in the commodities markets are the
speculators.

The large speculators.

These are mainly the large commodity pools, similar to a stock
market mutual fund. The pool managers will buy and sell large
numbers of commodity contracts in an effort to make a profit for
their investors.

The small speculators, that's us.

We buy and sell futures contracts based on fundamental and
technical analysis of a market trying to determine where a
particular market price will be at some point in the future.

Speculators Provide Liquidity.

The farmer wants the highest price possible and the giants like
the breakfast cereal makers want the lowest price possible. The
Hedgers are in the market for the long haul, several months to
sometimes a year or more. They are in effect putting their risk
of future price fluctuations on the open market for someone to
assume. Without price movement provided by speculators the
hedgers would soon reach an impasse on price.

Speculators assume that risk and provide the necessary
liquidity to the market place thereby keeping the producers and
manufactures from reaching an impasse on price. We, and the
large commodity pool managers, are looking for profit on a much
shorter time frame and are willing to assume the hedger's risk
thereby providing liquidity, (buying and selling) that creates
the necessary price movement.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Focus On Style At Expense Of Function

Most mobile phones are clearly statements of "form follows
function". While they may be candy bar, flip phones or sliders,
they all have to do more or less the same thing. It's a recent
trend among phone manufacturers, but one that we're (sadly)
growing accustomed to, to try to differentiate a phone based on
slapping a label on to it of some fashion designer, trying to
make it "look stylish", and charging three to four times what a
phone of comparable functions would actually be worth. LG's
Prada was the start of this marketing concept, and in spite of
negative reviews, it appears that no idea can be so bad it can't
bear repetition, particularly when the markup on the phone
itself is so high.

If you're guessing that I'm not in the target demographic for
"designer phones", you're almost certainly right.

The latest proof that fashion conscious people are expected to
go for style over substance is the Samsung Giorgio Armani. A
revamped version of their P310 and P300 mobile units, the Armani
replaces the oh-so-tacky (and oh-so-useful) regular buttons with
a largish touch screen. It's got a bronzeish colored metal bezel
and a non-stick coating, and it's styled to go well with "Men's
Wear" colors. On the other hand, unless you're planning on
showing it off to your mates, once it's in your hand and you're
talking on it, hardly anyone will notice the phone at all. It
comes with a tooled leather flipcase, and all in all, it's quite
slim and trendy looking. Easy to slip into a shirt pocket and
all, it won't look quite like a "brick on your belt" that larger
smart phones tend to.

In terms of functionality, it's a straight up GSM phone without
3G wireless connectivity. The touch screen gives it an attempt
at the iPhone's cachet, but the user interface is nowhere near
as responsive as an iPhone. There's a noticeable lag between
pushing an icon and having the application run; the clever
"pinch" and "spread" maneuvers on the iPhone aren't replicated
here. There are two analog buttons for start and end calls on
the front, and the right hand side of the mobile has the volume
rocker, the on/off button and the new universal power/data
connector port (which matches the later Samsung 600 series
phones.)

As a phone, sound quality was adequate. Signal strength was
good. The touch screen interface, and the integrated software,
mostly work. There are some oddities – the calendar and
organizer applications don't communicate with each other. The
"fingerswipe" to go through menus works, but not always
reliably, and like any touch screen device, the front surface
requires maniacal rigour in cleaning the fingerprints and grease
off of it from routine operations. The user interface is clearly
ported from some of Samsung's other touch screen phones – all
the menu items still have numerical shortcuts, for a physical
keyboard that's no longer present.

In addition to the now obligatory music player, it's got the
also-obligatory 3 megapixel digital camera (but no autofucos),
using an LED flash. Picture quality was sharp, the flash was
better than expected.

While not a horrible device, the Armani costs more than
comparably equipped phones; it's roughly on a par in price with
the Nokia N95, for example. If you absolutely have to have a
masculine looking cellular phone as part of your fashion
ensemble, this one will do.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Logos arent you sick of them? Out of roughly 3000 marketing
messages that reach every individual each day through multiple
media channels, thousands of them are linked to a logo. It seems
that logos have been lost in the deluge of messages. In a sense
they are way too subtle to survive the marketing racket. Only
the biggest Nike, Coke and Pepsi are still strong, to an extent
because they are powerful but mainly because billions of dollars
have been spent in promoting them to mean something.
Professional marketers are taking a good hard look at the
traditional logo and concluding that it may have lost its
importance as a marketing tool. Even if companies come up with
great logos, the cost of making them into instantly recognizable
brand logos is prohibitively expensive.

So on what visual hook should businesses hang their marketing
efforts if not the logo? Well, logos are being replaced by
memes, pronounced with a long e to rhyme with dream and team.
Its English creator defined a meme as a basic unit of cultural
transmission that passes from one mind to another and instantly
conveys an entire idea. In other words it is a universally
understood symbol with innate meaning. For example, everyone
knows that a zigzag lightning bolt warns of dangerous electric
current. You dont need advertising campaigns to tell you this.

The silhouette of a few balloons directs you to the party. The
open faced palm of a policemans hand tells you not to proceed
beyond that point. And so on.

So a meme does more than identify. It actually carries an
instruction with it. The Chiquita Banana as well as Planters Mr.
Peanut are on the way to being memes but they are not there
entirely. But at least they tell us exactly the businesses of
these companies.

A meme is much more universal but at the same time must be
appropriate for the business concerned. For example, banks are
in the business of money. But would a dollar sign, or a sketch
or print or picture or even a graphic image conveying this be
appropriate? Yes, money is their product but the same is true
for gambling operations. But would a dollar sign be correct for
a gambling operation? Not really. A dice or a fruit machine
would be more apt. Such a symbol is more linked to the benefits
and zing connected with gambling.

The memes mentioned above are ones that are already universally
recognized. But why shouldnt brand new memes be just as
recognizable? A good meme might show the tools of your trade.
For instance a health club could show a set of weights in its
meme. A hairdresser can use a comb and brush in a meme. The best
memes suggest a complete scenario to the consumer. Take for
instance a meme that could be used for an optician: a physicians
eye chart with the lettering in decreasing size as the eye
travels downwards. Instantly the entire process of having ones
eyes tested is conveyed.

There are a couple of fairly obvious steps to designing your
meme. Ask yourself what the benefits that your products and
services offer to customers. Are they unique to your business?
What problems do you solve for customers? What needs and desires
do you satisfy? Keep thinking about the customer, not about you.
Then reduce your analysis to a single image, picture, symbol,
icon or whatever visual device presents itself. You should be
seen as different and better, but also the meme should make
completely clear what your business is about.

Eminem Needs Flower Therapy

Wesley Berry Flowers

Poor rapper Eminem, he's in the midst of his second divorce from
the same woman-a situation that surely has him feeling more than
a little blue. But, how do you help a rapper with a tough image
through a difficult time and let him know you're thinking of
him? Well, it's easier than you may think and your florist holds
the key. That's right-flowers.

Flowers, green plants, and flowering plants are an excellent way
to brighten anyone's day, both men and women. Not only are they
beautiful and bring an instant smile to the face of anyone who
receives them, they're also personal and expressive gifts. They
say, "I was thinking about you today, and I really care about
how you feel."

Ordering flowers is really easy and they allow you to say that
you care even if you sometimes struggle with the right words to
say during emotionally challenging times. The card you include
need only say "thinking of your" or even just your name. But,
if you feel like there's something more you want to say, your
florist will be happy to include your personal note.

Regardless of whether or not you choose to include any personal
words, flowers are sure to bring some happiness to the person who
receives them. In fact, a recent study conducted by Rutgers
University, the State University of New Jersey, provided
scientific proof that flowers:

* Immediately affect happiness.

* Have a long-lasting positive affect.

* Help people connect with one another.

And, if you're in some doubt about whether or not men truly
appreciate receiving flowers, in a survey conducted by the
Society of American Florists, 60% of men indicated they enjoy
receiving flowers. If you're looking for a more "manly" gift,
you might send a green plant or a flowering plant rather than a
flower arrangement or bouquet.

With a looming divorce, Eminem is sure to need a bit of
reassurance from his loved ones. Although they may not have his
gift for words, Eminem's family and friends can let him know
their thoughts are with him just by picking up the phone, logging
on to the Internet, or stopping by the local flower shop to order
a personal gift of flowers.

Yoga is a great way to get a workout that will combine body and
mind for maximum health and fitness. Yoga can bring relaxation
and focus to the mind, while offering increased flexibility and
muscle tone to the body. If you are considering adding yoga to
your workout program, there are a number of different types of
yoga exercises that you can try.

For best results, you will want to combine a variety of yoga
exercises that will offer benefit to all of the areas of the
body in a single workout. You can do this by understanding what
the different categories of yoga exercises are, and how to
combine them for the most beneficial yoga workout.

Warm-up and Cool Down

Some of the first yoga exercises that you will need to learn
are those that warm up the body to prepare it for the workout to
follow. It is never a good idea to dive into any type of
exercise program without properly preparing the joints, muscles
and cardiovascular system of the body for what is to come. In
yoga, your warm up exercises will vary based on the type of yoga
workout that you will be doing.

There are plenty of good references to find warm up yoga
exercises, but the best way is to begin working with a yoga
instructor. It is also important to learn the yoga exercises
that will help your body to cool down and recover after a
workout.

Poses and Positions

There are a number of different types of poses that you can
perform as part of your yoga workout. These include positions
that are completed while standing, sitting on a mat, or lying on
your back facing upwards. The yoga exercises that are done on
your back are usually referred to as supine poses.

All of these different types of poses and yoga exercises are
done to work various areas of the body, and are best when done
in a combination that you learn from an instructor,
instructional DVD or a book. Again, it is always best to begin
with an instructor who can evaluate your yoga exercises to
ensure that you are performing them properly.

Yoga is a wonderful way to bring health and fitness to the mind
as well as the body. Yoga will not only tone your muscles and
enhance your flexibility; it will bring good health to your
internal glands and organs as well. With a good combination of
yoga exercises in your workout routine, you will be on your way
to increased strength and flexibility. Enjoy those benefits!

Looking for the best secured loans can be an absolute nightmare
if you do not know what you are looking for today. The credit
options open to any individuals are numerous and can be quite
confusing because the different terms and conditions, interest
rates and repayment periods can really make any individual's
head spin. It is impossible to separate one from another after a
while so following these best secured loans tips can help!

1. Use an Internet best secured loans website – There are some
great best secured loans search and compare websites out there
at the moment. All you have to do is fill in a form with your
requirements to receive the best secured loans deals back in a
few minutes. The website will search all of the loan options
available to you and list the most appropriate ones to suit your
needs so you can simply scroll down and choose from the list.

2. Compare the best secured loans interest rates – Interest
rates greatly vary from company to company and this can often
mean the difference between being able to afford to repay a loan
and losing your home.

3. Make notes – It is often so much easier to take in all of
the information you need to make a decision regarding the best
secured loans for you if you write all of the necessary
information down before making a decision. This way, you are
unlikely to have overlooked anything.

4. Always read the small print – Make sure that you are fully
aware of the terms and conditions and the small print of
individual loans before you sign on the dotted line because
there is no way back once you are well and truly committed. The
best secured loans will have the terms and conditions in plain
English so you have little jargon to grapple with, but if you
are in doubt then always ask!

"Volkswagen customers want a relationship with their cars. Names
like The Thing, Beetle, Fox, and Rabbit support this," states
Kerri Martin, Volkswagen's Director of Brand Innovation, in a
press release distributed in April, 2006. The company took
enthusiasts at a New York auto show by surprise when it announced
the re-branding and re-labeling of its fifth generation Golf
model, just in time for Spring.

This move was a definite response to a long-time slump in U.S.
Volkswagen sales, with 2005 marking a 12.5 percent drop while
other auto imports gained tremendous ground. It's Rabbit sales
have consistently reached targets, hitting 1.3 million between
1974 and 1985, when the company changed its nameplate to Golf.

Previous reintroductions have treated the company well, with
their 1998 Beetle rebirth pushing model sales above 80,000 in
just two years. Though sales returned to stable levels since, the
company announced its convertible version in 2002, forging yet
another sales spike.

Volkswagen began manufacturing the Rabbit with the new Golf II
nameplate in 1985, followed by two successors, Golf III and Golf
IV. Today's fifth generation Rabbit is available in the U.S. and
Canadian markets only.

The Rabbit sells in two- or four-door versions, with the two-door
starting at $14,990. Standard features include active front head
restraints, ABS braking system, traction control, front-side
airbags, air conditioning, anti-theft alarm and remote locking.
The car also comes with 24-hour roadside assistance for four
years and new vehicle warranties with unlimited mileage.

The 2006 Rabbit also offers reduced interior noise, improved body
strength, driving dynamics and crash protection. A powerful new
engine generates 150 horsepower with a larger displacement of 2.5
liters and five cylinders. This model is equipped with a standard
electro-mechanical steering system.

Cosmetically, new laser-welding production processes ensure
exceptional fit and finish. The body offers increased legroom,
added interior space and a larger rear-hatch opening.

Martin does not view the Rabbit return as an attempt to recreate
the original Rabbit, but instead offer enhanced performance,
clever design, efficiency, agility and nimbleness, as the name
implies.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The perfume caters to our smell - olfactory sense. Our five
senses are - touch, hearing, seeing, tasting and smelling.
Corresponding to these are the five sense organs - the skin, the
ears, the eyes, the tongue and the nostrils. Over and above
these gross physical senses is another - the sixth sense that is
something intangible which, leads to a feeling of wellbeing upon
inhaling a delicate perfume.

In animals smell is very strong. The predators mark their
territory with urine, which by the way each one has a
distinctive odour. The pet in the house knows about our
individual perfume more than we know ourselves. Perfumes have
two functions, negative and positive. It covers up stale smell
of sweat and on the other hand it exudes intoxicating fragrance.

Perfume is from Latin `per fume` meaning `through smoke`. It
goes back 4000 years to Mesopotamia and Egypt before being
improved upon by Romans and Arabs. In Europe it came in the 14th
century. Hungary produced the first modern perfume in 1371.
Renaissance Italy saw a burst of activity in perfume making.
France became the centre of perfumes made from aromatic plants
being grown from the 18th century in Grasse.

Man wants to pocket everything - from the diamond in dark
caverns to pearls in ocean depths. The perfume is the victory of
man over Nature - capturing the cream of her scent spread all
around. The perfume is a mixture of oils, aroma and fixatives
blended with solvents. The industry is shrouded in secrecy. Not
everybody can understand the language of perfume making. Each
perfume belongs to a family.

Perfume making starts with dilution of the oil with a solvent.
Ethanol mixed with water is the most common solvent. Others are
coconut oil, wax and jojoba. The increase or decrease of
aromatic compounds relates to scent`s intensity and longevity.
The amount of oil used varies from one perfume family to
another.

From 1900 perfumes were categorized in groups - single floral,
floral bouquet, ambery (admixture of scents from animals,
flowers and woods), woody (mainly sandalwood and cedar), leather
(honey, tobacco, wood and wood tars), chypre (cyprus) and
fougere (fern).

Since 1945 perfumes have been divided into bright floral,
green, oceanic, citrus and gourmand. From 1983 the
fragrance-wheel is being used to simplify classification -
floral, oriental, woody, fougere and fresh. Each are divided
into subgroups.

Perfumes are metaphorically said to contain three musical notes
- top, middle and base. Top notes are the scents that are
immediately perceptible. Middle notes emerge after the first
effect dissipates. The base note persists in combination with
the middle after the top goes. Perfumes can be dissipated due to
exposure to heat, light, oxygen etc.

The sources from which perfume is drawn are plants, animals and
synthetic bases. Plants are the largest sources - its bark,
fruits, flowers, leaves, twigs, roots, seeds and bulbs. In the
animal world perfumes are extracted from whales, beavers,
civets, honeybee and musk deer. Synthetic perfumes are cheaper
but not quite so fine and delicate. In the case of the latter
there are health risks connected to rashes, asthma and even
cancer.

Perfume is extracted by soaking the raw material in a solvent
for any length of time from few hours to months. In distillation
the process of condensation is used, while in
destructive-distillation method the raw stuff is heated
directly. Squeezing and pressing are also common methods.
Another method is absorbing the aroma in wax. Perfumes are part
of industry and used for the food and chemical business.

The person who makes perfumes is known affectionately as The
Nose. Next time you go to buy a bottle of perfume give a thought
to the efforts that go behind creating that exquisite bottle for
you!

In any business venture luck has some part to play. How do you
make your business luckier?

Lucky people do not dwell on their past mistakes and instead
focus on today and tomorrow. The past cannot be changed no
matter how much you worry about it. The only thing you have
control over is the present. So stop living in the past and make
the most of today.

Lucky people rarely whinge, moan or complain about others.
Rather they focus all their mental energy on making their little
world more fun. They tend to enjoy running their business and
find joy in little things. Anger, envy, jealousy and revenge are
wasted emotions that will end up doing more harm than good.

You could try getting to know a lot of people in your industry.
The more you socialise with other business leaders the luckier
you will become. Instead of treating it as a chore make friends
and mix with other intelligent people who can help in you in
your goals.

Joining networking organisations and meeting new people will
open up new opportunities. They can also be great fun if you
approach them in the right manner. Go there to have fun and meet
new people rather than just ramming your business down other
people's throats.

Lucky people tend to enjoy talking to strangers and meeting new
people. Being shy achieves nothing and staying locked up in your
house means that you will never make any new friends, business
contacts or be exposed to new ideas.

Lucky people are always reading up on the latest developments
in their business niche. By constantly keeping on top of all the
new business developments you will be able to stay one step
ahead of the competition.

Do you rely on luck to make sure people remember you? By being
well groomed, following up on leads and keeping in touch with
your client base regularly you will be surprised how lucky you
become.

By using a professional marketing system it is amazing how easy
it becomes to manage new and existing contacts. People at your
office should only have to enter the details in once and then
the information should be accessible to all. Do you still use
cards stuck on the wall with drawing pins?

Being in the right place at the right time is beyond our
control but it is possible to enhance your luck quotient by
exposing yourself to new people, new ideas and different places.

Do you feel lucky punk?

What's So Attractive About Affiliate Internet Marketing?
Copyright (c) 2008 Vasrue.com, All Rights Reserved
Written by: Clinton Douglas IV
Vasrue
http://www.Vasrue.com

Affiliate Internet marketing is a great way to earn money at
home. With a wide variety of products and services that you can
select from, it's easy to find a product or service that is
useful, beneficial and in demand; but before you get started,
let's take a quick look at what affiliate internet marketing
is.

Affiliate Internet marketing is a simply a way of making money
selling products on the Internet when you do not have a product
of your own to sell. Rather than creating a product of your own,
with services like Click Booth you are able to choose a product
or service that already exists to market on your own. As an
affiliate, you serve as a referrer; with Internet marketing, you
drive traffic to the product or service online.

In other words, affiliate Internet marketing isn't about
products. It isn't about selling. To a very large extent, if you
hope to have a successful home based business with affiliate
internet marketing, you also need to understand that it isn't
simply about advertising.

That's going to confuse some people. After all, isn't
advertising part of marketing - a term that is obviously relevant
in that it's in the name affiliate Internet marketing?

Yes, advertising is a form of marketing; however, there's a lot
more to it. The reason some succeed at affiliate internet
marketing while others fail is simply that they understand the
goals of marketing. They know that, in order to reach out to a
lead (or prospective customer) they need to:

1. Have a product that is worthwhile to that lead;

2. Work with a product that fulfills a need - whether it's a
physical need, an emotional need or a psychological need;

3. Approach their prospects in a way that addresses and appeals
to their needs; and,

4. Meet their prospects where they are.

This is why is possible to make money with affiliate Internet
marketing even if you do not have a website. Pay per click
advertising campaigns can help to get your affiliate link in
front of those who are already searching for the product or
service that you're promoting - even if you don't have your own
website. Article marketing - submitting articles about the
product or service to internet article directories - can serve to
provide more information for those who are looking for it, even
if you don't have a website of your own. Participating in forums
where your prospects already go to find products or services that
are related to one of their hobbies or that will help them to
achieve one goal or another is also an option for marketing an
affiliate product when you do not have a website.

That's why many people look at affiliate internet marketing as a
way of making easy money: with so many products and services

Cross Border Reports

Osama Bin Laden is dead.

Or at least that is what Benazir Bhutto stated in an interview
with Al Jazeera TV on November 2, 2007. She also named the
culprit: Omar Saeed Sheikh, the person convicted of kidnapping
and killing Wall Street Journal correspondent Daniel Pearl.

Quite obviously, none of the US presidential hopefuls believe Ms.
Bhutto. Rudy Giuliani, Mr. 9/11, is busy playing the Osama fear
factor in Florida. John McCain is selling his commitment to fight
the generational war against an Osama-led Al Qaeda. Barrack Obama
plans to get US troops out of Iraq and focus his attention on the
high mountains of the Hindu Kush.

And Hillary Clinton? Well, the Senator from New York is still
figuring out how to deal with Pakistan's President Pervez
Musharraf in containing the threat from a variety of radicals.
She is noticeably silent on the Osama issue. And for very good
reason indeed. Her husband, Bill, might not know whether Osama
Bin Laden is actually dead or alive today. But he most certainly
can answer one question: who, by any well-reasoned estimate,
orchestrated 9/11?

For nearly six long years, senior Indian spies have held the view
that 9/11 was the work of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence
(ISI), not Al Qaeda. "If you check who controlled the terrorists
training camps since the end of the anti-Soviet war in 1989, and
if you check the proven timelines since then, the answer to the
9/11 question falls into the necessary relevant context," said a
retired director of the Research and Intelligence Wing (RAW),
India's foreign intelligence arm. "Both Osama Bin Laden and
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed were, for all material purposes, working
for the ISI, they had no capabilities to strike New York and the
Pentagon on their own accord."

Washington has blamed Mr. Mohammed, who is currently believed to
be in CIA custody, as the principal organizer of the 9/11 suicide
attacks. But that conclusion is based largely on interrogation
transcripts of a dozen-odd captured terrorists, or alleged
terrorists, in Guantanamo Bay. When one seriously attempts to
corroborate the contents of those transcripts with historical
facts, Washington's assertions begin to border on convenient
fiction, at best. And, nobody knows those historical facts, and
the timelines dictated by those facts, better than President Bill
Clinton! His continued silence is, in good part, responsible for
the deeply flawed terrorism-related platforms of virtually all
White House aspirants, Mr. 9/11 included.

For instance, it is a known fact that Osama Bin Laden left
Pakistan in 1990. He moved to Sudan in 1992 and returned to
Afghanistan, via Pakistan, in mid-1996. Who controlled the
terrorists training camps, along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border,
between 1990 and 1996? Certainly not Osama Bin Laden; he was not
present in the neighbourhood.

As far as Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is concerned, the record speaks
for itself. There is some credible evidence that he plotted the
first WTC bombing in 1992; the plot was later implemented by his
nephew, Ramzi Yousef. According to politicians of the Pakistan
Peoples Party, the uncle-nephew team planned the murder of
Benazir Bhutto in 1993; that plan was foiled by Ms. Bhutto's
security detail. [Benazir Bhutto herself confirmed the abortive
attempt on numerous occasions].

Then, in 1994, Mr. Mohammed hatched Operation Bojinka, which
involved killing the Pope during his visit to the Philippines and
planting bombs on aircraft flying over the Pacific Ocean. To cite
a little-known fact, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was indicted on
terrorism charges in New York's Southern District Court in
January 1996. So it is fairly safe to assume that he was known to
US law enforcement at that time. But nobody in Washington has
been willing to answer the most basic of questions. Who was Mr.
Mohammed working for? More specifically, who was financing him?

According to the final report of the 9/11 Commission, Khalid
Sheikh Mohammed established contact with Osama Bin Laden, only in
mid- or late-1997; whether the two were acquainted prior to
Osama's departure from the Afghanistan-Pakistan region in 1990
is a separate, open issue altogether.

In March 2007, Reuters disclosed that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed had
admitted his role in the suicide hijackings to the Combatant
Status Review Tribunal at Guantanamo Bay. "I was responsible for
the 9/11 operation from A to Z," Mr. Mohammed was reported as
telling the Tribunal members. Needless to add, no lawyers were
present at that hearing, and nobody in the CIA has ever denied
that some or all of such confessions were triggered by torture.
This type of single-source information simply cannot be taken
seriously. Remember the Iraq WMD story?

In any event, before one can decide what Khalid Sheikh Mohammed
did or did not do in the months prior to September 11, 2001, it
is imperative that the very significant historical facts of the
1990s are made public. "Let American voters read the 9/11
Commission's report, and make their own assessments, after they
are made aware of the critical pre-9/11 timelines by Hillary
Clinton or her husband, or somebody else from the Clinton era,"
said the editor of a prominent anti-war website on condition of
anonymity last week. "As the evidence stands today, the Al
Qaeda-9/11 link is a dangerously misleading assumption."

Because Khalid Sheikh Mohammed did not suddenly surface as an
ambitious Islamic militant around the turn of the millennium, as
many throughout the world have been led to believe. For, as the
compelling facts suggest, he was a very busy terrorist since the
early 1990s. Who exactly was his master?

The issue of the whether Osama is dead or alive may well become a
classic side-show, if and when US presidential hopefuls begin to
seek the truth behind the 9/11 tragedy. In the meanwhile, they
risk leading America and NATO into yet another quagmire in the
Pushtun badlands.

You notice that your mom needs more help at home. You decide to
look at home health care to help with your personal care and
housekeeping.

Your down-on-his-luck brother reappears, anxious to heal the
family rift and help care for your parents. "I want to get
involved," he says. "You can trust me now. I'd like to help
manage the money and the decisions."

Before hiring home care or granting access to the purse strings,
take time to protect your care recipient's financial security.
It's not that you don't trust, it's that you value prudence.
Some suggestions:

1. Freeze your care recipient's credit reports. Freezing the
reports means that new credit cannot be opened in your care
recipient's name. New credit cards can't be opened, and major
purchases cannot take place under your care recipient's credit.
Read this tip for more information:
http://caregiving.com/yourcare/html/weeklytip329.htm

2. Consult an elder law attorney about protecting assets by
creating a living trust. You can hold property and assets in a
trust-which guards against an individual moving ownership of
assets from your care recipient to him or her. Visit here for
more information:
http://www.nolo.com/article.cfm/objectId/02B5FD86-BB5F-4F9C-88C5E
D4A0D7F64BC/309/227/FAQ/

3. Secure documents such as checkbooks and tax returns as well as
expensive items, such as jewelry, in a safe or safety deposit
box. Don't leave temptations unattended.

4. If you haven't done so already, have a durable power of
attorney for health care and finances drawn up for your care
recipient. If you live in one state and your care recipient in
another, have an elder law attorney create documents for both
states.

5. Use direct deposit for Social Security checks (and other
monthly checks, such as pension). For more information about
enrolling in direct deposit, call the Go Direct helpline at (800)
333-1795 or sign-up online at http://www.GoDirect.org.

6. When hiring in-home help, always do a background check and
call references (and ensure a home care agency does, as well).
You can check out home care agencies at Home Care Compare, a
service provided by Medicare. Visit here:
http://www.medicare.gov/HHCompare/Home.asp?

7. Ask friends and family members for referrals when hiring help,
whether through an agency or on your own. These recommendations
can be invaluable.

8. Communicate clearly your expectations of everyone involved in
caregiving-included hired professionals. And, keep the lines of
communication open: Ask questions, welcome feedback and listen
carefully.

9. Stay involved. Make unannounced visits when the home care
worker will be with your care recipient, stay on top of financial
information, and question anything that seems odd or unusual.

10. When your gut screams, act.

Internet Marketing Lessons From A Side-trip In Las Vegas
Copyright (c) 2008 Willie Crawford

http://WillieCrawford.com/ezine.html

While attending an Internet marketing seminar in Las Vegas
recently, I decided to spend some time observing how those with
huge budgets market. I reasoned that in a city where buildings
often cost billions (with a B), they must know a thing or two
about effective marketing.

In this article, I'll share just a few hours that I took out
from my day to tour a timeshare resort.

While walking through the casino where we happened to be staying,
my wife and I were approached by a casino employee. He asked if
we'd be interested in a few free shows, and some buffet meals.
My interest was piqued, and I wanted to see how such a huge
operation used a freebie as a lead generator.

The employee steered us to a information counter where we were
told that to get the freebies, we needed to attend a one-hour
tour of a local resort... with no other obligations. They did
require a $40 deposit to reserve our spot on the bus, and to
ensure that we showed up.

At this point, the marketer in me "was game" even though I
considered my one hour... plus travel time, worth much more than
the value of the tickets and meals. However, I wanted to compare
their marketing to mine, so I went along.

At the appointed time, I showed up, filled out a short form, that
basically entered ALL of my contact info into their funnel, and
got on the bus.

On the bus, we were given a short survey to take that would be
used by the sales person to structure their pitch. The survey
asked about our opinions and travel habits. It also was VERY
leading... pointing out how much more sense it made to stay in a
5 star resort condo for only $200 per week, than it did to stay
in a "ratty" hotel for $200 per night.

Getting off the bus, they collected our survey forms at the door,
and then seated us all in a large room that, among other things,
had a guy on a ukulele singing and providing mood music.

A sales rep walked into the room periodically and yelled out one
of our names. They'd then ask a few very brief questions and
tell us that a guide would be with us shortly. I suspect that
the purpose of that "little exercise" was to assess each couple
or prospect, and try to figure out which sales person it would be
best to match them up with. They were matching us up with
someone enough "like us" that we'd probably like them ... and
maybe even want to help them make a sale.

They fully understood that "people prefer buying from people
that they know, like and trust." People are also often more
inclined to buy from people that they feel are "like them."

Our tour guide/sales person guided us into a large presentation
room where we were seated with our sales person. Dozens of other
couples were similarly seated in the room.

The sales person got enough preliminary information out of us so
that as we went around the room later, they could share something
special about each couple with the group. They were somewhat
creating a sense of community... or connection.

Next, one of the better sales people got up front and made the
first pitch, rolling in things such as scarcity, social proof,
consistency, authority... all of the things that I'd read about
in Robert Cialdini's book, "Influence, The Psychology of
Persuasion."

As the presentation proceeded, people in the room frequently
clapped at certain statements. Most of these were sales people,
but before long the prospects were also clapping.

I reflected upon the fact that on comedy television shows they
overlay "laugh tracks" to que you as to how you are suppose to
feel and respond. Cialdini tells of how they even had people in
the opera whose job it was to stand up and start clapping to
trigger that same response.

I smiled as I observed how well they orchestrated the
psychological triggers that I somewhat understood.

During the presentation it was pointed out how rapidly phase 1 of
the project had sold out and how likely phase 2 was to quickly
sell out. In the pit of my stomach, I began to sense the
urgency/scarcity of the situation.

They continued by pointing out how rapidly prices were indeed
increasing for property in Las Vegas, and how the cost of a unit
on that condo could very well double by next year. The urgency
continued to build, except that the salesman in me was enjoying
watching the crowd more than I was paying attention to the
message. There was a small voice in the back of my head
reminding me that I didn't travel to Las Vegas searching for
property, and in-fact had never even considered living in Las
Vegas.

They mentioned all of the celebrities, politician, and "big
wigs" who were a part of the project. Our sales person also
mentioned that she was an owner from phases I. That played on a
number of psychological factors including authority... and social
proof.

As we wrapped up the group presentation, and our guide took us on
a tour of the property, it was repeatedly point out to us how
"it only made sense" to purchase if we took even one vacation a
year. That point was really hammered home... much as many online
copywriters point out how much of a "no-brainer" certain
decisions are.

As the tour wound down, the sales person asked what we though.
She did several trial closes and also looking for the decision
maker.

My wife deferred to me, and I said that I rarely made snap
decisions. She pointed out that some people would instantly
"see the value" and that others wouldn't. She emphasized that
since Las Vegas saw million of visitors per week, it really was
"no big deal." My mind instantly flashed back to sales letters
that I've read where they point out that "they'll eat steak
that night regardless of my decision." As I declined "the deal
of the century," naturally the sales manager and other "very
likable people" were brought in to help out.

They assumed that it was "a price issue" so they strove to
determine what monthly payment I would be comfortable with. They
enlightened me to the fact that this was the only number that
really mattered :-)

As someone with a harddrive full of digital properties (resale
rights to ebooks, software, etc.) that I might never use, I
CERTAINLY saw no logic in buying real properties that I might
never use!

The sales person asked me what she did wrong... and pointed out
that her manager would be critiquing her performance so she
really wanted to know. I wasn't sure if this was an attempt at
making me feel guilty... and to therefore reconsider, or if it
was a genuine effort to determine how to improve their process.

The sales manager asked me similar questions, patiently waiting
for me to talk myself into reconsidering :-)

In the closing room, whenever a customer said yes, they put on a
big show, to include having them spin a wheel for a big prize.
That offered more social proof, and gave them an opportunity to
build value by piling on the bonuses.

In the end, I didn't purchase but did feel that I'd gained
tremendous value from the experience. I saw how many of the very
things that we used in our online marketing are used in "higher
stakes" offline marketing. Practically everything that they did
made perfect sense, and I could see that I was dealing with a
well-oiled selling machine."

As they transported me back to my hotel-casino, I also smiled at
the fact that while they had indicated that it was a "now or
never deal," they also had my mailing address, phone number,
email address, and enough demographic data to follow-up with me
forever... if they choose to. I'm certain that they will, and so
I look forward to continuing to hone my online marketing skills
by studying sales people trained in a "billion dollar
environment."

I also appreciate the fact that they staunchly refused to discuss
my going home and "thinking about it." That simply was never
acknowledged as an option. They framed is as there will be
millions more next week, so we will sell out soon. They closed
the door of too many options, and I'm sure that that increased
their closing rate (since most who say that they want to think
about it, are soon sidetracked).

As an aside, during the formal presentation, they showed how
hotel after hotel was being bought up, and then imploded, so that
they could build several billion dollars resort casinos on the
same land. They frequently tossed around "the B word," and I
could see that they were both building value and doing an
"apples to oranges" sales pitch.

I was mildly impressed when they mentioned that hundred million
dollar building were often bought only because someone wanted the
parking lot!

My little excursion provided dozens of other marketing lessons
that, if you are really listening, PROVE to you how effective the
very things that you are taught online everyday can be. The
fact that I am a sales person also shows that when you market in
a niche that's full of other marketers (such as Internet
marketing) you will face a tougher challenge than you would if
you were marketing to someone who didn't analyze your every
word.

Now I feel less guilty about skipping some of the seminar
presentations. As you can see, I WAS working. I was studying how
others practice my profession :-)

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The London Borough of Camden has been one of the more affluent
boroughs in London and therefore has come with a price.
Comparing house prices in the London borough of Camden with
other areas of London, there is generally quite a noticeable
difference. However, there are other boroughs in London that
have the same affluence such as the Chelsea and Kensington
areas.

Boroughs such as Camden, Chelsea and Kensington have over the
passed few decades have attracted a vast array of interest.
Walking the streets in these boroughs, you may bump into some
famous celebrities such as Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant and Chris
Evans. There is also a great deal of wealthy people walking the
streets donned with designer labels, driving nice cars and
enjoying a lifestyle that many can't.

With all this attraction from the wealthier end of the spectrum
clearly has an affect on the house prices. For the past few
decades, the house prices in these areas have only been
increasing. This is far to say for most of the boroughs in
London as the economy has been booming for most of that time,
however, the increase in the London Borough of Camden has been
phenomenally more than some of the various other areas of
London.

Ten years ago in the London Borough of Camden, the average
price of a two bed flat was £100,000; now the average price of a
property of this type is in the £300,000 bracket. There are
specific areas in the London Borough of Camden that fetch higher
prices than other areas. For example, a two bed flat in
Hampstead will be more around the £350,000 mark while a similar
property in Kilburn would be coming up to the £300,000 mark.

In boroughs where the housing prices continuously soar also
attracts foreign investment. Many wealthy folk in countries such
as Russia, China and the Arabian countries see the London
housing market as a very sensible investment. This further
increases house prices are many international owners buy houses
or flats for the longer term investment therefore reducing the
supply of property while demand is continuing to increase.

London boroughs such as Camden have become a popular area for
young professionals to begin their life after university due to
the many bars, restaurants, amenities and the close proximity to
central London. This is another reason for the house prices
increasing as the demand is increasing.

Recent changes in the financial market have meant that the
economy has taken a slight downturn. Usually in times like
these, house prices are the first to decrease as buyers are more
reluctant to buy thus demand is decreasing but sellers still
want to sell so supply is the same.

Britain's house prices as a whole has been affected by the
economic change, with house prices in the north of England
significantly decreasing. London felt this downturn also with
many London boroughs seeing decreases in their house prices.
However, the London borough of Camden is one of the few areas
that hasn't been affected greatly by the economic change.

Of course, the house prices haven't increased the way they have
in the past but they haven't really decreased either. This is
because demand for living in this area is still high and the
additional foreign interest means that demand will be higher
than supply resulting in higher house prices than most of
London.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
In the world of online marketing there are a number of
strategies that have been developed over the years that are
strategies that are tried, tested and true when it comes to
making money online from home. The only caveat that should be
added to that statement is that some business marketing
strategies will only work for certain niches, whereas others are
good strategies to pursue in general. There are a couple of
strategies that people use when they want to get their business
off to a roaring start and these strategies can certainly have a
much better chance of doing that than anything else currently
being used as a marketing strategy so long as you do it right.
These two strategies are known as affiliate marketing and
network marketing. Both these strategies when implemented
properly can give you the best chance of making money online
from home. Take a look below to see what they can do for you!

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the best way to get your business
off to a profitable start and this is primarily because you are
leveraging the work of others and the time that they will spend
to promote your business for you. In affiliate marketing, people
that have nothing to do with your company, your business or your
product will sell your product on your behalf in exchange for
getting a cut of the profits. This is a technique used by
thousands of people world wide to help sell their products and
also to help the affiliate to also make money online from home.
It is a win-win situation for the vendor and the affiliate. For
example, on a major affiliate marketing website like Clickbank a
typical product that is sold for $50 might give anywhere between
$20 and $40 of that money to the affiliate that inspired the
sale. This allows you to market on your own (for the full $50
per product) as well as enlist the help of others on the terms
that you only pay them when they make a sale.

Some affiliate marketing programs will also allow your
affiliates who have decided to run their own business and making
money online from home to recruit other affiliates to help out
and this means that in addition to giving the affiliate that
makes the sale a cut of the profits, a much smaller cut of the
profits would also go to the affiliate that brought them into
the product sale. This is also known as multi-level marketing
and if you are someone that wants no part of multi-level
marketing, it is important that you register your product either
with an affiliate service that does not use it (like Clickbank
for example) or that you simply do your own affiliate program on
your own terms without help from any of the major affiliate
services. However, making money online from home is fast
becoming a popular avenue for vendors and affiliates alike. This
is a great way to get your product to market.

Network Marketing

Network marketing is very similar to affiliate marketing in the
sense that network marketing allows you to recruit people, who
are making money from home to sell your products for you. The
difference between network marketing and affiliate marketing is
that network marketing usually has multiple products and
multiple levels, whereas affiliate marketing usually refers to
one product and one level. Network marketing is much more
appropriate if you are planning to create a line of products
that you would like people to sell and therefore building up
your network of salesmen at the same time that you are creating
the product lines is a good idea. The bottom line is, it is a
good idea to leverage people if you want to make money online
from home.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Due to modern technology, we can now access information from
around the world, twenty four hours a day. At any given time, we
can contact friends and family wherever they happen to be and
keep up with trends and ideas from all parts of the globe.

There is a downside, if we allow it to happen, and that is what
we call information overload. I say if, because it really is up
to the individual to decide how much information they need and
what they want to do with it.

A major part of information overload is the fact that people
stress about too many things that they have no control over.
Take climate change or terrorism for instance, people are
worried and frightened, taken to extreme this sort of stress can
seriously damage the health.

So how can we overcome this problem on a personal level? The
key is being able to filter information, retaining only that
which is of a concern or interest to us. Just because
information is available, it doesn't mean you have to take it
all on board.

You also need to be very honest with yourself about how certain
information affects you and what you are prepared to do about
it. If you're upsetting your self about the starving children in
Africa, but you are not doing anything about it, then it is a
lose - lose situation. You're not doing your health any good,
and the starving children don't benefit from your stress levels.
This may sound brutal, but the fact is you must make a decision.
Are you going to do something constructive, or are you going to
file the information and stop worrying?

Not doing anything doesn't mean you don't have a social
conscience or that you are uncaring. It simply means there is a
situation that has nothing to do with you at this time.

Learn to manage your intake of information so that you've got
some control over what you want to hear. For instance, I only
listen to the news once a day, I watch a 30 minute news program
on TV in the evenings, and that tells me pretty much all I want
to know. If there is something that interests me, I will follow
through on it, but generally, the headlines are enough for me.

The media have brainwashed us into believing that we have to
know everything, and that we should also be the first to know,
this simply isn't necessary. The only time you need to know is
when information affects you or the circumstances around you. If
you're travelling on the highway and an accident up ahead means
delays, then information pertaining to it affects you. It may be
possible to change your route or make alternative plans.

Filtering information means you sort the information in order
of importance. This also means you are best able to retain the
facts you need. When you allow your mind to accept all of the
information that comes in, you clog up the system. Imagine if
you allowed your desk to overflow with paperwork, bills and
files all mixed up with junk mail. How hard does that make it to
find a telephone number that's buried somewhere in the pile?

Get into the habit of discarding information that isn't
relevant. This means you're not causing yourself unnecessary
worry. It might be difficult at first but you can train yourself
to do it with practice. It is also a good idea not to soak up
too much negative information, especially if you're prone to
anxiety and stress over certain subjects.

Turn the information age into a positive thing by making it
work for you. Take the best of it to enrich your life and learn
to be in control, so that you don't get information overload.

Software developers and businesses alike can expect to see
significant changes in the year ahead in how applications are
developed. Research analysts are projecting that 2008 will
reveal a shift in the conventional development process, resulting
in more flexible solutions that can evolve with a company's
changing needs.

Until now, application development professionals have designed
applications to meet the most current business requirements.
Supply followed demand as developers fought to be the first out
the door with the latest and greatest solutions to resolve these
business challenges.

Forrester research analyst, Carey Schwaber, projects that "as the
pace of business change increases, so will the pace of change in
business requirements." Because of these rapidly changing
business conditions, new applications will need to be designed to
meet undetermined future requirements as well as current needs.
This will call for key players to be involved in predicting which
requirements are most likely to change and how the application
can be designed to facilitate the change.

Today's applications emphasize performance, data integrity, and
scalability as their key goals, (not the ability to be easily
changed). However, this new requirement, labeled
"build-for-change", prepares for anticipated changes in the
application's design, and includes an interface to enable the
user to change process and business rules without additional
programming. Forrester states, "A build-for-change approach
places at the center of the application's design the factors
most likely to change like business process flows, policies, and
services, and provides a means to manage their prompt
evolution."

Development occurring within companies is also evolving,
resulting in a trend to increase collaboration between
departments. No longer is IT simply tasked with executing
requested business requirements, but departments are now working
in cooperation to create these applications together. "Business
analysts, power users, and even business professionals will now
pass process designs, business rules, mashups, and other design
elements to IT teams. IT will provide not only applications, but
also tools to enable businesspeople to customize, extend, and
evolve those applications." (Forrester Research, September 24,
2007, 'The Dynamic Business Applications Imperative'.) The
result of this development model puts the power to effect change
into the hands of the businesspeople. This democratization of
development, also referred to as "technology populism", is
consistent with the current move away from a removed, central IT
department.

So, as "change" is the buzzword of many politicians this election
year, we can also expect to see and hear about lots of major
changes happening in the world of application development. The
end result of this trend will be more of these flexible and
highly adaptable software products making their appearance in the
marketplace. Change can be a good thing.

An essential beauty destination to add to your travel tool kit,
luxury holidays in Mauritius are a real must. A trip to
Mauritius will inspire, enchant and uplift your soul. If it is
your first time visiting Mauritius therein lies the promise of a
unique holiday and for those that are seasoned travelers the
beauty of the island will compel you to return to Mauritius
shores time and time again.

Situated 2400 kilometers off the South East coast of Africa in
the Indian Ocean, the island covers an area of 720 square miles.
Coral reefs surround the majority of the island except for the
South. The temperature varies between 22˚C and 34˚C
typically enjoying a tropical climate all year round. Mauritius
has a blend of diverse cultures and religions consisting of
Hindus, Chinese, Muslims, Creole and Europeans. Though close to
Africa, the island retains a strong British and French
influence.

Mauritius is the most accessible island in the Indian Ocean and
more traveler friendly than other tropical paradises such as
Maui or Martinique. With top class spas, acclaimed championship
golf courses and a plenitude of activities available coupled
with luxury world class hotels, renowned gastronomy and sandy
beaches, Mauritius offers much more than the average tropical
island holiday.

Every visitor can enjoy personal attention and experience the
best service in the Indian Ocean. When you are not lapping up
the luxury indoors you will be appreciating the beauty of the
island. Set amongst turquoise waters, the island is a haven of
peace and tranquility. With the world's third largest coral
reef, stretches of sandy beaches and exotic flowers and foliage
you will want to go on walks, trips and expeditions to really
explore the island.

If a slow paced relaxing holiday is not your style Mauritius
still manages to come up trumps. There are masses of activities
to keep you and the family busy from water sports, shopping,
fishing, golf, diving and mountain biking. Covering 3.5% of the
island's surface Mauritius national park (Black River Gorges) is
a particularly spectacular place to visit. A wild expanse of
thick forest the park homes over 300 species of flowering plants
and 9 species of bird unique to the island. Keep an eye out for
the famous pink pigeon!

For culture and history take a trip to L'Aventure du Sucre
museum. Set in the former Beau Plan sugar factory most of the
machinery is still in place and there is an opportunity to pose
any questions you have to the former workers. The museum tells
the story of Mauritius, slavery, the rum trade and much more.
Great for those with a sweet tooth at the end of the visit you
can taste 4 of the 15 varieties of unrefined sugar. Finally if
you are willing to venture further afield, Tamarin falls is well
worth the effort. It is best to enlist the help of a local guide
to access the falls via a challenging trail to reach the series
of seven magnificent waterfalls.

However you choose to spend your luxury holidays in Mauritius,
the experience will remain engraved in your memory for all time.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The interesting fact about what makes a good home security
system is that it should guard your home while being unobtrusive
at the same time. When you go to sleep at night with the alarm
system activated, there should be a comfortable feeling of
security as if you are barricaded within a fort surrounded by a
moat. But no one wants to live in a home that looks like it
belongs to the national defense system or is located in a war
zone. There should be no barb wire fences or prison yard search
lights in towers.

Yet, you want to feel like you certainly do have the best
defenses possible in your home. Obviously, there will be certain
features a home security system must have in order to achieve
this level of effectiveness. You need to understand what kind of
system will provide the most protection whether you live in a
house, condominium, town home or apartment.

The first step is to list the places where someone could enter
your home. These places include the front door, back door, first
floor windows and basement exterior door and windows. Of course,
burglars have entered homes by using unusual means too,
including down chimneys or through roof skylights. Your list
should include all areas of possible entry even if they seem
silly or highly unlikely to be used.

Determining what makes a good home security system should also
include an analysis of the exterior area around your home. Your
best first defense against burglary lies in knowing the event is
about to take place before it actually occurs. If you know
someone is on your front porch before they jimmy the lock, your
odds of stopping the event are much higher. Also, your yard at
night is full of shadows and bushes which make great hiding
spots. Your exterior security system should minimize the number
of shadowed areas around your house.

A Comprehensive View

Security systems can be very simple or extremely elaborate. In
all cases, what makes a good home security system is the ability
to 1) keep unwanted persons out of your home, 2) give adequate
notice that an unlawful entry is about to occur or already has
occurred, and 3) provide other safety features for your
protection such as a fire alarm.

There are other important considerations related to your home
security system that have nothing to do with the system
components. These considerations include deciding which brand
security system to buy, the terms of the contract, and the
ability of the system to be upgraded or expanded when necessary.
Too many people don't spend enough time analyzing the financial
feasibility of the security system contract and find themselves
stuck in an overpriced contract for an outdated system.

What makes a good home security system? A good home security
system is one that doesn't have any "holes" in it. "Holes" in
this case means that the system doesn't cover some of the
possible places of entry, while leaving other areas vulnerable
to illegal entry. The system should be low maintenance and
reliable at all times.

Deciding which home security system to install is a major
decision, because you – and your family – have a lot at stake if
the system is inadequate.

Looking to take a vacation and have it count as a
tax-deductible occasion? You are not alone. Those with
increasingly tight budgets are finding there are ways to mix
business with pleasure and take vacations that allow them to
declare them on their year-end taxes, saving them money.

Some non-profit organizations arrange volunteers to head to
foreign countries where they can volunteer in some measure while
spending leisure time touring the area. These trips might
involve helping to rebuild homes after storm or earthquake
damage or helping to feed or educate the poverty-stricken
locals. If this appeals to you, make sure you become involved
with a program that is non-profit, others may claim to be but if
they lack the paperwork, you will end up paying for your entire
trip and none of it will qualify for tax-deductible status. When
you embark on your volunteer experience, you are required to pay
for your airfare, food, and lodging and then claim all or a
portion of it on your year-end taxes.

Are you taking a business trip? Many companies allow you to
bring your family with you, providing you pay their
transportation, food, and any difference in the room charge if
applicable. If your company pays for a business suite, odds are
high that you will have plenty of space for yourself and your
spouse and/or children. While you attend business meetings, your
family can go sightseeing without you. In the evenings, you are
free to tour the city with your family. If you arrange your
business trip so that you spend a few extra days, you will have
extra time to spend with your family while your employer covers
the bulk of your trip.

Self-employed individuals can attend lectures or meetings that
are applicable to their line of business and claim those as a
tax-deductible business expense at the end of the year. This is
a great way to tour the country while aiding your business and
getting to see different regions at the same time. The days you
are away on business are tax deductible, and then you can add on
days for leisure that you must pay for yourself. Another option
is to arrange business meetings or lectures on a Friday and a
Monday. You will attend the meetings or lectures as scheduled,
but the weekend is free for you to do whatever you want.
Meanwhile, your business expenses will cover the necessity for
the lodging over the two-day weekend span.

Some investors even buy homes in other countries and states. By
doing this they can claim some money back using their trip as a
business expense for visiting and inspecting their property. The
great thing about this is that the property is permanently
situated their so you can go back and forth for as many holidays
as you want. No need to wait for business trips or volunteer
work.

Be careful not to claim every trip on tax unless it's a
legitimate business holiday. Your government will track these
down and if there are too many tax deductible trips, they could
get suspicious and audit you. Just a word of warning.
