Famous Quotes by Lou Holtz During Football's Annual Bowl Season
College football's annual bowl season is full of surprises
and spectacular moments. Famous coaches have had some
memorable remarks about American's most popular sport, and
here are some of them by Lou Holtz, who some consider to be
the best of the best college coaches and for good reason.

It is true that Knute Rockne won 5 more national
championships at Norte Dame than Lou Holtz did at Notre
Dame (Holtz led the Fighting Irish to 1 national title in
1988).

It is also true that Knute Rockne has a regular season
won-loss percentage of 90% (105-12-5) at Notre Dame, and
that Lou Holtz has a regular season won-loss percentage of
77% (100-30-2) at Notre Dame.

However, Lou Holtz is the only coach in NCAA history to
lead 6 different programs to bowl games (William & Mary,
North Carolina State, Arkansas, Minnesota, Notre Dame and
South Carolina), and the only coach to guide 4 different
programs to final top 20 rankings (North Carolina State,
South Carolina twice, Arkansas 5 times and Notre Dame 7
times).

Lou Holtz became known for his quick wit and ability to
inspire players. Both Knute Rockne and Green Bay Packer
coach Vince Lombardi became legendary for their ability to
inspire players.

In addition to his coaching career, Holtz has gone on to
author 5 books and become both a motivational speaker and
television commentator.

Here are some of Lou Holtz's best known quotes:

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to
it."

"Motivation is simple. You eliminate those who are not
motivated."

"The man who complains about the way the ball bounces is
likely the one who dropped it."

"When all is said and done, more is said than done."

"It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you
carry it."

"No one has ever drowned in sweat."

"On this team, we're all united in a common goal: to keep
my job."

"Show me someone who has done something worthwhile, and
I'll show you someone who has overcome adversity."

"The problem with having a sense of humor is often (the)
people you use it on aren't in a very good mood."

"In the successful organization, no detail is too small to
escape close attention."

"It is a fine thing to have ability, but the ability to
discover ability in others is the true test."

"If you're bored with life-you don't get up every morning
with a burning desire to do things-you don't have enough
goals."

"If you burn your neighbor's house down, it doesn't make
your house look any better."

"You'll never get ahead of anyone as long as you try to get
even with him."

"I think everyone should experience defeat at least once
during their career. You learn a lot from it."

"I never learn anything talking. I only learn things when I
ask questions."

"If he's got golf clubs in his truck or a camper in his
driveway, I don't hire him."

"How you respond to the challenge in the second half will
determine what you become after the game, whether you are a
winner or a loser."

"Coaching is nothing more than eliminating mistakes before
you get fired."

"A lifetime contract for a coach means if you're ahead in
the third quarter and moving the ball, they can't fire you."

"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings
because it has a song."

"You're never as good as everyone tells you when you win,
and you're never as bad as they say when you lose."

Ghost Writers: I Swear I Wrote This One
At some point in time, every business has a need for
professionally written articles, whether they are to be
used for website content or for other business purposes.
There are services available to meet these needs, and the
professionals who specialize in this area are known as
ghostwriters. A ghost writer is someone who writes creative
stories, articles, blogs, journals and other pieces for
different types of businesses. The difference between a
ghostwriter and other professional writers is that the
entries written by a ghostwriter are typically published
under a pseudonym. This allows a company to take credit for
the written work without having to actually produce it.
This concept is not new, and for some time, borrowed work
has allowed businesses to provide professionally written
work that is tailored toward their industry. The nature of
this work has changed over the last several years because
of the explosive growth of the internet, and because of
this, ghostwriters have become a prized commodity.
Certainly, you have witnessed the many different forms of
content on the internet. This content can vary from news
articles, service and product descriptions, blogs, press
releases and the like. A webmaster may not have the time to
write the large amount of content required to keep their
website updated. In addition to this, the webmaster may
simply not have the talent or professional experience to
produce well written pieces. Because of this, ghost writers
are used to by many companies' to produce appealing content
for their websites.

Most ghostwriting is outsourced as freelance work. This
allows companies access to professional writing without
having to staff a full time professional. There has been a
recent trend of outsourcing ghostwriting jobs to countries
such as India because these places offer companies a more
cost effective way of doing business. The overall costs for
ghostwritten articles in places like this can be up to 80%
less than pieces written in the United States, UK or
Canada. Before selecting a content writing company, it is
important to understand what content writing entails. First
of all, there is the actual content of your website. This
concerns the different pages of your website which will
include the home page, "about us" page and the like.
Typically, a webmaster will outline the general
requirements for these pages, and then allow writer to
create professionally written material that is designed to
attract the viewer. Because this type of material is
representative of the company itself, it is considered to
be some of the most important writing that the company has
to offer. Poorly written content reflects negatively on a
company and can turn away many potential clients. In
addition to writing original material for website content,
ghost writers can also improve website content by editing
or updating previously written work.

Another form of writing that you will need to consider is
in the form of articles. Articles can be used for various
business purposes and one role of the article is for search
engine optimization strategies. An article that is
correctly optimized can significantly increase a websites
ranking within the search engine, and thus increase the
flow of traffic to the site itself. These types of articles
typically reflect general information or current industry
news. They normally contain links embedded in the article
itself, and then they are distributed to various article
directories and e-magazines to ensure mass circulation. In
addition to search engine ranking benefits, a well written
article will keep the viewer abreast of current news and
industry trends and thus provide the company with a steady
stream of repeat visitors.

Another important form of writing is the company blog.
Blogs are more informal than articles or website content,
and they are typically written as opinion pieces. Like
articles or website content, blogs can be used for search
engine optimization purposes. Even though most of these
pieces are written by a ghost writer, they are generally
published under the pseudonym of the webmaster. Because a
blog is less formal than an article or press release, they
allow the writer much more creative freedom; however, they
should always contain material that is pertinent to the
company's products and services. Posting a blog is a very
effective way of promoting a website, and should always be
considered an important part of a company's writing
strategy.

Lastly, there will come a point in time when a company will
need to issue a press release. Press Releases are another
mechanism of promotion and they normally focus on specific
products or services offered by the company. For example, a
company will issue a press release when a new service or
product is available to the public. They are also issued
when a company starts a promotional campaign. One
particularly effective form of the press release is the
product or service review. A good ghost writer will take
the time to research the company's products and services
and write an effective review. A review will give the
reader insight into the product they are interested in and
will allow them to make a more informative decision. It is
always in the best interest of the company to keep
potential clients informed of new products and services and
the press release is the ideal strategy to attract new
customers. Press releases can be published at various press
release websites, and a good content writing company will
be ensure that these materials are published on a large
scale.

As you can see, there are many reasons to consider a
content writing service for your company's writing needs.
In essence, the website is the face of the company, so it
is important to present to the public the most professional
and attractive presentation as possible. A ghostwriter can
help you meet these needs and ensure your company's success.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Although the 2007 holiday season hasn't ended yet for many
multichannel merchants, many of our clients are already
preparing for holiday 2008. You should, too, by conducting a
post-season audit. This process enables you to challenge your
group to find ways to reduce costs and at the same time get
critical data and observations to be used for the next holiday
season.

In this article we will cover both the basics of performing a
post-season audit as a base line for process improvement and
cost reduction, as well as discuss the major potential cost
reduction areas of the distribution center.

The first step in the audit is to form a post-season review
team, which should include fulfillment supervisors and some key
personnel in the DC. The team's observations of what went right,
what was marginal, and what needs to be fixed before next year
should include finding answers to these questions:

• What was the labor cost per order shipped during the
increased staffing period of your holiday season, vs. your
balance-of-year average cost per order shipped? This identifies
how effectively you used the temporary holiday labor and how it
performed.

• What was the cost of training the seasonal labor force? Were
they brought in at the right time for sufficient training and to
match volume surges, or were they on the payroll too early?

• What was the found error rate and subsequent rework required?
Are they higher than normal? Why did they increase?

• Did you use your experienced associates to pick and teach
seasonal temps to pack? You should: It is easier and faster to
teach packing than to teach picking, and if you use your
experienced people to pick, your error rate should be lower.

• Did you cross-train all regular associates to pack during the
course of the year? Were they available to fill in for peaks
after performing such tasks as receiving, put away,
administrative/clerical, etc.? This enables you to hold down the
number of seasonal temps required.

• What was the rate of overtime during the holiday season
versus the balance of the year? Also calculate labor man-hours
per order shipped during the holiday season vs. the
balance-of-year average. Low wages paid to temps may drive down
the cost per order, but man hours used will identify your true
performance.

• What was the turnover rate for seasonal employees and for
what reasons? How many rehires did you have to make, adding to
training cost and putting inexperienced people to work? Too
frequently, inexperienced and insufficiently trained people make
little contribution and drive up costs.

• Were there any issues with shortages of supplies? Why?

• How did holiday volume perform to the sales forecast? A
post-season audit is critical to understanding DC management's
responsiveness.

• How did the DC perform daily against order volume? Did the
facility fall behind scheduled shipments? How far behind by day?
What was the order carryover identified as both orders and a
percent carryover by day?

• Did your carriers perform? Were their pickups on schedule?

• Were there any bottlenecks in the flow of work? Why did they
occur and how can they be averted next year?

• What was your post-holiday season rate of returns? What were
the reasons for returns, which were DC related (i.e. picking
error, broken in transit, etc)? What was the turn around period
between receiving the return and processing refund or exchanges?
Any areas or bottlenecks in the returns process that need to be
corrected? Was there sufficient receiving space? Did it infringe
on outbound space?

To help answer these questions, use departmental reports
throughout the center. These include transaction volume reports
for orders received, picked, shipped, manifested, returns, back
orders processed; service levels achieved (standard or plan and
actual) payroll and productivity reports (budgeted and actual);
DC inventory control reports about inventory adjustments,
products not found in picking process, error reporting, etc.

Implementing Changes in Your Distribution Center

With the peak volume of the holiday season over, you should
have just about finished your post-season audit of your
operation. As we discussed previously, this will give you a good
idea of how and where you can reduce and control expenses in
your distribution center.

Now it's time to implement some changes. Where should you
start? Here's a checklist of some steps to take.

• Bring your workforce down to the size required for your
post-holiday business forecast. Nothing increases costs more
than excess people on the payroll—and by attempting to manage
hours with too large a staff, you'll wind up sending employees
home early multiple days per week, running the risk of losing
key associates who can't afford to work less than 40 hours.

This is also a great time to evaluate all employees and retain
the workers who performed best. Frequently you'll find gems in
the seasonal staff who are better than some of your regular
associates. So bite the bullet, make the difficult decisions,
and reduce staff quickly.

• Perform inventory consolidation in your storage area, both to
organize storage and create space for new product arrivals.
Consolidating inventory now will save inbound labor dollars
later, as well as ease and expedite the ability to locate
product.

• Assure your key performance metrics are in place for pick,
pack, ship, replenish, receive and put away. Be certain you are
generating reporting on all the key indices which will help you
manage expenses, including labor hours and dollars (regular and
premium) measured against volumes received and shipped (units,
lines, orders, boxes).

• Reconfigure your slotting and pick locations to reduce travel
time to a minimum. Relocate items appropriately to slow moving
or to fast moving picks to create efficiency. Remove seasonal
items from the pick line so you are not walking by them each
day.

• If you didn't cross-train all regular associates to pack last
year, begin now for next year and continue cross-training
throughout the year. Be sure any new employees retained from the
seasonal worker ranks are fully trained and performing to
standard. Training for seasonal associates is often quick, so if
you are retaining people, make sure they are properly trained to
be successful.

• Develop a fulfillment to-do list from your post-season audit.
Assign responsibilities and follow up to assure the tasks are
being performed.

If you have never developed goals and objectives for your
operation and your fulfillment staff, this is the perfect time
to start. Goals and objectives or key performance indicators are
the most objective method of evaluating individual performance.
Successful accomplishment of goals and objectives adds to the
profitability of the company.

• Create your fulfillment budget for the next fiscal year.
Remember that an effective budget reflects improvement in
performance and reduction of expense to enable the company to
offer wage increases where appropriate.

• Review transportation contracts. When shipping volume is
down, every penny of cost becomes critical. Knowledgeable review
of both inbound and outbound transportation contracts and costs
can typically yield savings up to 20%.

• Consult with your supply vendors for packaging, corrugated,
styrofoam, etc. Are you able to return overstock for credit?
Again, every penny saved during slow periods is important.

• Determine if this is the time for experienced help to assist
you in reconfiguring the warehouse. There are many ways to
improve layout within your current walls to expand capacity and
improve efficiency.

Along those lines, are your systems generating the necessary
results in the required time periods, or is your fulfillment
center losing efficiency because your systems are unable to
perform? This is a great time to develop a systems requirement
document identifying your needs for growth and for performance.

• Conduct objective individual performance evaluations for your
salaried staff. Objective and honest evaluations of individual
performance are the building blocks of great teams.

And finally, the only good thing about slow volume is that it
affords you the opportunity to evaluate past performance
failures and to implement change for future performance
successes.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
I can get excited about online marketing because I know that
when used properly it can help change lives.

Everyday I hear of dreams people have for business. In some
cases these individuals want a magical five-step plan to get
them going, but it simply doesn't exist.

If you have a dream then you know the desire for easy answers.
You'd like to be able to say that your dream has a 100% chance
of success, but you just don't know so you sit back and let the
idea simmer while you begin to embrace the possibility that it
will remain nothing more than a dream.

Many will tell me that they would move forward, but they are
just no good at marketing. I will state this once and the rest
is up to you, "Hogwash." Was that harsh?

The truth is marketing is a learnable skill that is not
dependent on intuition or some genetic predisposition although
many respond to marketing as if it were something you are either
born with or not.

What's more, I have never encountered one singular source where
every answer can be found in regards to marketing. There are
many great sources of information, but they will not likely
answer every question you encounter.

This is why it is important for you to research various
marketing ideas. Explore the world of Search Engine Optimization
(SEO) and find out what type of additional advertising might
work best for your situation.

I can promise you that your business is either doomed to
failure or minimal success if you refuse to learn marketing
skills for online business.

I know that for some there is already an innate fear of the
computer, but as Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "The only thing we
have to fear is fear itself." You can learn the skills you need
to succeed online. The question is, do you want to succeed?

Are you willing to invest in the dream that burns within you?
Do you have a fighting instinct that will move you forward when
it would be so easy to abandon the idea as too difficult?

Be willing to boldly ask others about what they went through on
their path to success. You will find they encountered great
difficulties, but the only way through those times was to keep
walking. To retreat meant absolute defeat.

The struggle to give a dream life is not unlike the struggle a
butterfly has in their fight to emerge from a cocoon. The
extreme work it takes the butterfly seems almost cruel to
observe, yet if they did not have the work out that went along
with emerging their wings would not function correctly and they
would never be able to fly.

Struggle will always be a part of any success story.
Difficulties will always dog the man or woman who attempts to do
something with their dreams. Some will argue it can't be done
and it will be easy to believe them, but don't. Don't give in,
never give up, always keep reaching.

After it is your dream – fight for it.

Article Title: The Sedona Method Questions
Author: Trevor John

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The most basic use of the Sedona method - and the easiest to
pick up - is to ask yourself the three Sedona method questions.

It's probably also the biggest problem experienced by users of
the Sedona method. People ask themselves why just asking a
series of three simple questions over and over again has the
powerful effects claimed. We're so used to things being
complicated in our modern day lives that we sometimes have
difficulty believing this.

The best way to prove to yourself that the Sedona method really
does work is to try it yourself.

Before we come on to the actual three Sedona questions, you
first need to identify a feeling or sensation that is an issue
for you.

If this is the first time you've used the Sedona method, I
suggest that you choose something fairly small. Just a niggle.
It could even be the feeling of doubt that you are currently
experiencing over whether or not the Sedona method will work for
you. It's a lot easier to start this way than to use a giant
problem or issue. You can work up to that later, once you've
shown to your conscious mind that the technique really is as
powerful as their website claims.

Once you've identified the feeling, ask yourself the three
Sedona method questions:

1. Could I let it go?
2. Would I let it go?
3. When?

Answer each question in turn.

Don't take forever answering. Your first response is almost
certainly correct.

If you find yourself taking minutes or even hours to answer
what are basically simple yes or no questions, you're thinking
too much. Stop thinking for a while! In the words of Nike, "Just
do it!"

The fun part is that, so long as you don't sit on the fence,
there are no right or wrong answers to these questions.
Questions 1 and 2 can be answered with either "yes" or "no".
"Maybe" isn't an option. Nor is "I don't know". If you're not
sure whether the answer is yes or no, dive in and give an answer
anyway. Question 3 can be answered with any time period, ranging
from "now, this instant" through to "never - hell will freeze
over first" and all points inbetween.

Then repeat the same questions until you reach a state where
the feeling or problem no longer bothers you. This may be a
couple of times or it may be that you need to answer the same
question ten or twenty times. Whatever feels right is fine.
Don't beat yourself up because you're taking too long on a
particular question. If that happens, it will be happening for a
reason. Go with it. And if you get too frustrated, use the
question set on the frustration instead!

You may well find yourself laughing out loud on the third or
fourth repetition of the questions. That's great if that happens
(but don't sweat if it doesn't). It means that you are releasing
your feelings and instead of them being pent up inside you, they
are allowed to escape and stop irritating you.

Simple isn't it?

Every four years, February 29 appears on the calendar and is
traditionally the day when women can propose marriage. This
custom dates from fifth-century Ireland, when the rules of
courtship were stricter. Since many women were waiting too long
for proposals, St. Patrick is said to have granted this
dispensation to them to speed up the process. And this quaint
custom comes into effect again in 2008, as it is a leap year.

If you are planning on "tying the knot" in Leap year here are
ten top places in the USA where you can pop the question.

Arizona's star natural attraction, The Grand Canyon, offers
plenty of proposal options, from a magnificent lookout, to a
hot-air balloon or helicopter ride.

What about the Big Apple? For a proposal with an incredible
view, either take the elevator or climb the 1,860 steps to the
102nd floor of the Empire State Building in New York City. Try
to make it on a clear day, when you can see for almost 80 miles,
or on a clear night, when the city lights will provide a
romantic backdrop for your proposal.

New York City is arguably at its most romantic, when viewed
from a horse-drawn carriage in Central Park. Featured in
countless movies, the carriages start at Central Park South,
between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, at 59th Street.

The magnificent Bridal Veil Falls at Niagara Falls, in New York
State, is a dramatic location to tell him how much you love him.
Then pop the question as you marvel at the sheer power and
beauty of the water as it rushes downward.

Treat him to a trip in a hot air balloon over Lake Tahoe,
California, and propose as you float gently above the beautiful
lake and take in the incredible views.

For a year round warm weather proposal destination head for the
Florida Keys. Key West, Florida, is the perfect place to be at
the end of the day. A proposal here, as the sun sets over the
sea, will be a memorable start to the rest of your lives
together.

The picturesque 80-foot-tall Wailua Falls, on Kauai, in the
Hawaii Islands, are a dream come true, when it comes to marriage
proposals. You can propose at the scenic overlook or take the
path down to pool below, to swim in the cool mountain water
together.

Inspiration Point, at the Grand Teton National Park, in
Wyoming, with its awesome view, would be a breathtaking spot for
your proposal. The Point is reached crossing Jenny Lake boat and
then hiking up the Cascade Canyon Trail.

At St. John, on the US Virgin Islands, Honeymoon Beach hosts
proposals galore. The question can be written in the sand on the
beach or on a diver's board during an underwater adventure.

And finally, don't wait to get lucky on the Las Vegas Strip,
Nevada, just claim your prize with a marriage proposal on a
gondola ride at The Venetian, or during dinner at the Eiffel
Tower at Paris, Las Vegas.

Wouldn't you love to get your car insurance at bargain rates?
There are a number of proven ways to cut your premiums and,
whilst most of them are no secret, many of us neglect to put
them into practice. You just have to know what to do and where
to go and your premiums could tumble.

Cutting the cost of your car insurance is more important than
ever these days. According to the AA's British Insurance Premium
Index, the average annual comprehensive motor insurance premium
is running about £822 annually. That's it's highest rate ever.
But you can cut your car insurance premium in half if you shop
around carefully and pay attention to a few little factors that
can raise or lower your car insurance costs.

1. Shop around.

Shopping around is the key to getting the best possible rate on
your car insurance. Whether you're buying cover for the first
time or renewing your existing policy, you should check
insurance comparison sites to find the best possible deals. Ask
for quotes from a number of different insurance providers - but
be sure that you check the same options with each provider so
that you are comparing like with like.

2. Get quotes from an insurance broker.

Insurance brokers represent many different insurers, so when
you work through a broker, you can check prices from a range of
insurers at the same time. Do keep in mind, though, that your
insurance broker has an agenda as well - and will only tell you
about the insurance providers that he or she represents.

3. Buy directly from the insurer.

When you cut out the middleman, you'll save because there's one
less cut to be taken out of the pie. One way to benefit from
both the variety offered by an insurance broker is to check
quotes through a broker and then get a direct quote from the
insurer's web site.

4. Check multiple quotes through an insurance comparison site.

There are two kinds of insurance comparison sites. One is a
broker site, where many insurers are represented and the web
site owner gets a commission for each referral to an insurance
company. The other type is the independent price comparison
search engine which offers honest comparisons and reviews. You
can apply for quotes online both through the broker site and at
the insurer's own web site and decide which offers you the best
deal.

5. Get quotes for no-frills and internet-only car insurance

If you want comprehensive car insurance but are not bothered
about all of the optional extras included in many policies, you
could save money with simple, no-frills cover. These offer all
the comprehensive cover basics to keep you on the road but cut
out some of the options many drivers never use to save you
money. You could also cut your premiums by using internet-only
insurers who keep their overheads low by only selling and
administering their policies online. They claim that these
savings are passed onto the customer in lower premiums. Again,
the key is to shop around and confirm these claims for yourself.

6. Buy your insurance online - but not before double-checking
your quote on the phone or in person.

Buying online will typically save you 10% to 20% on your
premium, but it's not a hard and fast rule. Be sure to check
with the insurer directly as well though.

Shopping around can really pay off but, keep in mind that there
are other things you can do to cut your premiums as well. The
top five tips for reducing your car insurance premium in
addition to shopping around for the best deal are:

1. Reduce the number of miles you drive annually.
2. Add your partner to your policy.
3. Avoid making claims for small accidents.
4. Pay for your insurance annually.
5. Take an advanced driving course.

Buying French Property Think Loire Valley
Buying property in France is still a desire by many
overseas property buyers this is despite the rise of
cheaper markets such as Bulgaria. The French way of life,
countryside and low property prices puts France on the map
for international property buyers. The UK overseas buyer
has traditionally been the middle classes seeking
retirement however recent evidence now suggests a change.
First time buyers unable to afford UK house prices are now
heading to France. Many see this as a way of getting on the
property ladder whilst still living and working in the UK.

France is a vast country and the first thing a buyer needs
to do is identify which region they favour. One region that
is becoming increasingly popular is the Loire Valley Region.

Covering much of two French regions and a number of
departments, the Loire River has several large cities along
its banks and not far from it. For centuries, the Loire was
one of the major highways of France, transporting goods and
people from the heartland of the country to the coast and
beyond. Although it is not the transportation route it once
was, the valley still holds a distinct place within the
country. The major part of the Loire valley runs through
the Centre region and westward through the Pays de la Loire
region to the ocean. The principle economic activities are
tourism focused on the chateaux and historic sites,
agriculture ' particularly vineyards and wines ' and light
to medium industry.

The Loire River is the longest river in France, beginning
in the southeast part of the country not far from the Alps.
It runs northward and then westward to the Atlantic Ocean.
The area that is commonly called the Loire Valley is
located along the central and western stretches of the
river, from Nevers to Orleans, then through Tours, Angers
and Nantes before emptying in the ocean. This is the part
of the river that has hundreds of the most famous and
spectacular chateaux in the world, as well as many other
historical and cultural sites and wineries.

The Loire Valley has enough major cities, countryside and
small towns to give just about anyone what they want for
real estate. Land, apartments, condominiums, country houses
and inexpensive places to spend a few nights a month or
year are all available here. Being such a popular area with
many well known historical areas and wineries, much of the
property is not cheap, though. Housing can be found in
cities such as Nantes, Le Mans and Tours, as well as the
many small towns in the country. Getting something along
the river will be more expensive, as the climate makes it
great wine country and the land comes at a premium.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
It's HARD! Most home-based working moms are saying the same
thing now, how do I do it all? Run a business and balance a
family. The pressure of clients, busy schedules, snow days,
etc., can be daunting. I know, I've been working at home since
1985 and although it gets easier, it is still a challenge. Here
are some tips for finding balance. They have helped me
considerably through the years and I hope you enjoy them as
well.

1. Keep in mind that it's a learning process. No one is
perfect. One of the greatest gifts I did learn was to no longer
beat myself up so much. So what if I didn't do it all today. So
what if my house didn't pass a white glove test today (or ever).
I really enjoy my business. I really enjoy my family. I feel as
long as I set a good example for my kids, and keep my clients
happy the best I can, I'm a winner today.

2. To be able to get it all done and enjoy your family, create
boundaries, both work-related and personal. You don't want to
have to do it all and once you start saying no, you'll be amazed
how truly awesome it feels. When you keep in control, things run
better. Plus, I believe both your family and clients appreciate
knowing what is expected of them.

3. Have a schedule to follow and stick to it as much as
possible. Avoid unnecessary interruptions, including constant
e-mail checking. Set a timer for checking emails, message
boards, routine tasks. Think of time as money. Avoid time
robbers such as friends that IM all day just to chat. This isn't
to say you can't have fun and friends, you want that, just keep
control and don't let it interrupt your day.

4. Get out of the office and do your work whenever possible. I
do a lot of writing and proofing as a publicist and virtual
assistant. Instead of sitting in the office, I take it the local
coffee shop, bookstore, library, outside patio, beach, etc. It
feels great to have a change of pace. A good cup of java and I'm
good to go. Plus, find out if you can take your kids places and
work. I will often be able to take my kids to the beach where
they can play and I can catch up on some edits.

5. Multitask whenever possible. When I prepare dinner, I will
often do a crock-pot meal with the meat designated and also
prepare a meal in the oven as well so I'll get two meals out of
it. You feel like you have a day off on Day 2. Also, I'll
prepare my kid's lunches and my own lunch while I prepare
dinner. That way I can prepare a healthy lunch and snack the
night before for both of us. When I'm not in a rush in the
morning, I have more time to devote to putting healthy things
together. You'd be amazed how good it feels to stop and eat a
pre-made salad or sandwich while working instead of grabbing for
something else.

6. Take small vacations to get away. Plan a Friday, Saturday,
Sunday vacation. This really helps because we don't feel like we
are always working. Also, when you're busy, don't let exercise
and going to the gym be the things you give up. You need those
for energy.

7. Take weekends and evenings off. It's so easy to get caught
up working 24/7. But when you take this time off, you feel so
much more energized. And you get to connect more with your
children.

Working at home can be a challenge, but it can also be the most
rewarding journey ever. I believe that not only I benefit from
the experience, but my children as well. They get to see a
confident positive mom who loves going to work every day. And
that's priceless.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Do you find yourself with a white tongue and suffer from a
feminine itch? You may have a yeast infection and be calling it
something else instead. Were you recently on an antibiotic for a
respiratory infection or another health issue? Often people
mistake a yeast infection for something else and do not properly
diagnose their health.

Additionally if one uses steroids or certain birth control
pills, a yeast infection may occur. Wearing damp clothing such
as a bathing suit or workout clothing can help a yeast infection
breed. Tight clothing or pants can also create problems as can
wearing nylon pantyhose. It is best to wear cotton underwear and
get out of swimsuits immediately into dry clothing. In hot
weather, just change into a t-shirt and shorts with cotton
underwear after swimming rather than remain in a wet bathing
suit.

There are lots of remedies listed for yeast infections but some
are not safe. It is important to use wisdom and common sense as
you can hurt yourself using boric acid or anything acidic in the
wrong concentration. Remember you are dealing with sensitive
tissue when you have a yeast infection.

Jarvis and others speak of apple cider vinegar as a nice folk
home remedy for yeast infections. The proportion of apple cider
vinegar to water is important as it can burn your skin and hurt
the tissue. Do not just use home remedies without research
however organic they may sound. This is an issue with boric acid
as well.

Have you seen that some of the home remedies for yeast
infection mention the use of yogurt. This is because the yogurt
products due to being probiotics can replace destroyed bacteria
from antibiotics and other medications. Be sure there aren't
additives in the yogurt however. If you are using yogurts that
have sugar, you will be creating another breeding ground for
bacteria.

We're a culture that likes the quick fix, but constant
vigilance is necessary to prevent a yeast infection from taking
over again. It needs to be a way of life and not just a
temporary bandaid. Drinking buttermilk can be a tool to keep the
body on the right track. Having a well thought out system and
plan rather than haphazardly trying different supplements is the
best way to both prevent and cure a yeast infection.

You can find liquid or pill supplements of acidopholous or
bifidus in the local health food stores. These are often in the
refrigerator department due to the bacteria needing this. This
can be a regular supplement to keep the body maintenance. There
are some probiotics that do not need to be refrigerated but on
the whole , the ones with the highest count do and these are
excellent to restore your body's ph and create the right
internal environment.

Your body needs to have it's ph balanced properly and this will
help keep things even for you. Keep a regular routine so that
you don't get recurring yeast infections and remember that this
takes discipline and a system. You will get new energy again and
it is worth the small dietary sacrifices.

So you just got all the holiday decorations put away (or maybe
you didn't!) and here comes another holiday… Valentines! Never
fear, I have some great budget friendly ideas for quick and easy
decorations you can use to dress up any room of your home and
show all your loved ones how much you care!

Dress up your everyday dining area with heart shaped placemats.
Pick up some large red or pink craft foam sheets from your craft
store and trace and cut a large heart shape from each one with a
pair of sharp scissors. Use a gold paint pen and write a one
word romantic sentiment in the center of each one, just like the
"message heart" candies of our youth! Edge the hearts with
squiggles and swirls, or perhaps personalize each placemat with
a name of a family member. These will wipe clean with a damp
cloth, and add loving style to each meal!

Pick up four or six silk flowers and a small roll of wire edged
ribbon (white, red, or pink) from your discount store and tie
one flower each to the back of each of your dining chairs. Make
the bow larger than you normally would for drama. The wire edge
will allow you to shape the bow into a full, romantic style. Use
leftover ribbon to add some romance to your front door wreath,
your mailbox, or a big bow on the headboard of your bed!

Buy an inexpensive floral bouquet from the supermarket and
spilt it into two or three smaller bunches. Add some evergreen
cuttings from the yard, and display it in pretty creamers,
teacups, and bud vases. Flowers speak of love and family, but it
doesn't need to be a $50 bouquet of roses to add romance to the
room!

Take some time to set a romantic table for that special
Valentines Day dinner, not only for that special someone, but
for all the loved ones in your life! You can do this with things
you already own! Layer the table coverings with quilts,
tablecloths and placemats. Layer your dishware as well, with a
large plate, saucer, and bowl, and tuck napkins into your
drinking glasses. Don't be afraid to mix and match your
dinnerware, it adds style! Pick up a pack of paper doilies from
the dollar shop, and scatter them across the table. Get the kids
in on the day by giving them some red or pink giftwrap, tissue
paper, or construction paper and a couple of paper punches, and
allow them to make confetti to sprinkle over the table!

Lastly, don't forget to add candles to your Valentines home.
They are inexpensive at any discount store or dollar shop, and
can be displayed in groups on old picture frames as trays, or in
front of mirrors to double your romantic style! Drop tealights
into teacups or mason jars, and tie a ribbon around the outside.

Remember, romance is good for the soul, and it's easy to bring
a little of it into our homes to show our love for those around
us!

================== ARTICLE START ==================
It's simple! Follow the "rules of the road". With few
exceptions, when operating a bicycle on the streets and highways
you must comply with the motor vehicle traffic regulations of
your state and locality. Yes, you have all the rights of a motor
vehicle driver, but you also have the same responsibilities they
do. That means you must drive on the right side of a two way
street, except when overtaking or passing. You must obey traffic
lights and signs. At uncontrolled intersections, remember the
vehicle on the left yields the right-of-way to the vehicle on
the right.

Where bike paths or lanes are available, use them. When
traveling with a group, it is best to ride single file and never
more than two abreast.

Signals are important. Turning right? Extend your right hand
and arm in a horizontal position straight from and level with
your shoulder beyond the right side of your bicycle. Turning
left? Extend your left arm straight and level to the left side
of your bike. For slowing down or stopping, extend your arm
downward to your side. By following the regulations applicable
to motor vehicles (which the law requires you to do, like it or
not), you make it less likely a motor vehicle driver will
misunderstand what you are doing and where you are going. Such
misunderstandings cause accidents.

Wear a helmet! Because head injuries are ordinarily the most
serious type of injury in bicycle accidents, always wear a
helmet when cycling. Your helmet should meet U.S. government
safety standards. Check for the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety
Commission) sticker. Make sure your helmet fits securely and is
level on your head. The straps should be fastened snugly. Worn
improperly, your helmet will not protect you as it is designed
to do. And how old is your helmet anyway? You may need to
replace it if it's more than 20 years old or if it lacks the
CPSC (or ASTM or Snell) label. If the helmet foam is cracked, if
the helmet doesn't fit correctly or if the helmet has been
banged up in a crash, replace it.

Visibility is key! If a motor vehicle driver can't see you, he
won't take steps to avoid hitting you. Wear light colored
clothing that stands out such as yellow or white. Tie a
reflector strap around your pant leg or wear a jacket or shoes
furnished with reflector tape. Attach a lamp to the front of
your bicycle for use at night, during twilight hours, or in bad
weather. A tail light is a good idea as well.

Check your equipment before you ride! Are your brakes in good
repair and are they correctly adjusted? You don't want to ride a
bike with worn brake pads or faulty cables. Are your tires
properly inflated and in good condition? It is always a good
idea to oil your chain regularly and ensure it is in good
working order. Make certain your bicycle seat, handlebars, and
wheels aren't loose, that they fit tightly.

These are just a few tips for safer cycling. Use your common
sense and always remain alert to your surroundings and nearby
vehicles. Bicycling is great exercise and a wonderful hobby.
Just make sure you remember the safety rules while you enjoy the
ride.

Dalyan is 25 km. from Dalaman Airport and 77 km. from Marmaris,
Turkey and its beautiful locale and rich history make it the
ideal destination for a one day boat tour originating in
Marmaris. I would like to give you an idea of what you can
expect when you visit Dalyan.

This is a fantastic boat trip because you will visit one of the
rarest corners on the earth : Dalyan Turtle Beach. This beach is
one of the last breeding grounds of the loggerhead turtles and
it is surrounded by fresh water on one side and salt water on
the other. Sailing on the river boats through the maze-like
passages of Dalyan Delta will surely remind you of "The
Afrıcan Queen". A stop-over at the magnificent Rock Tombs
carved high in the cliff gives you the chance to get all the
information about the resort. And finally there is a "fountain
of youth: in the form of Mud Baths. It is fun, it is
rejuvenating and it, surely, is great chance for an unusual
snapshot.

Without climbing up to the Acropolis in Caunos, it may not be
possible to feel how dangerous were the threats the Caunians
lived under when they founded this city, at an elevation of 152
m. In addition to the striking panaroma, the break points of
your tour will also appear : Amphitheatre, Church, Roman Bath,
Terrace Temple, Fountain and Necropolis.

The City walls surrounding the acropolis, has different
characteristics peculiar to different civilizations and ages,
regarding the form, measurement and workmanship of the stones.
It is hard to notice the distinction between Caunian, Greek,
Persian, Roman and Byzan-tium traces on the same structure. The
Acropolis is on a peak overlooking the southern area and
interior seaport. From this viewpoint it seems easy to imagine
ancient shipyards and merchantmen of that time. This high
altitude point had also been used for rituals, feasts and wine
parties.

One of the best preserved buildings is the Church. A cross on
the entrance still remains. It's 2500 year old domes and marble
columns adorned by religious figures are wonderful. The Roman
Bath was originally designed as complex building divided into
rooms for education, sporting activities and meeting. The
gigantic windows that were been built for athletes to warm up by
sun after a bath with icy waters, also provided them with
dazzling sights. Two columns found in the Terrace Temple were
the first discoveries that started Caunos excavations. The
Temple, which you can't help being charmed by, remains almost as
it was. The inscriptions on its marble columns mention the
Caunian Gods. The most interesting part of this fascinating
Temple is of course the Sacred Stone. It's told that the object
depicted on the ancient coins of the 4th. century B.C.
represents the stone. There are a lots of inscriptions like this
all around.

Love of Byblis : A legendary story

According to an ancient legend, Byblıs was a daughter of
Miletus and Eidothea and sister of Caunus. Byblis was in love
with her brother Caunus. This was a love that could not be
between sister and brother. And as her love grew from day to day
Byblis fell incestuously in love with her brother Caunus and
declared her love to him in a letter. Caunus, horrified,
rejected her. He fled from his sister, but she followed him
through Caria.. He came to this part of Caria and founded the
city of Caunus. As for Byblis, she pursued him as he fled her
but could not find him. She was weeping so much and was about to
die from grief and exhaustion when she was turned by nymphs into
a fountain. This is the legendary story of the origin of the
city of Caunos..

The Human Factor in Architecture

Another majestic building of the city is the Fountain. It is
interesting to note that the Caunians never designed a city
without a fountain. They were used by visitors coming from
distant seas to freshen up. The fountain that also functioned as
a meeting point for women at the time, is now being
reconstructed for the new visitors. The most striking stage of
the journey is the Necropolis. Of 167 tombs, 'The Temple Faced
Ones' engraved into rocky cliffs belong to the noble inhabitants
of Caunos. These Stone King Tombs are the symbols of the city.

So if you are visiting Turkey it is worth seeing Marmaris with
its natural attractions, daily sea excursions, caretta caretta
turtles, and with the possibility of visiting ancient city ruins
such as Cnidos, Caunos, Cleopatra's Island, Loryma and many
others..

There are basic tools that make a kitchen functional, such as
pots and pans, mixing bowls, bakeware, etc. Then there are some
additional implements that enable a cook to take meals to the
next level. Nothing fancy or gimmicky, this list includes tools
you made have seen before and one or two things which may be new
to you.

10. dutch oven – for roasts, whole chickens, stews, greens...
the dutch oven has come a long way from the oversized pot you
may remember from your mother's kitchen. I love that you can use
it on top of the stove for browning and braising and then put it
in the oven for baking. Or you can bake or roast in the oven,
remove the roast or chicken, add liquid for a little flour to
the pot and cook on the stovetop to make a gravy or sauce.
Either way, re-familiarize yourself with this kitchen classic

9. food thermometer - to measure the internal temperature of
your cooked meat, poultry, and even soups and casseroles.
Whether you're going for rare, medium or table-ready turkey, a
good food thermometer is a must for making sure your food is
perfectly done. A regular dial-face or digital oven-proof
thermometer with an easy-to-read display works just fine.
However, you can certainly treat yourself to an instant read
digital thermometer (these aren't designed to remain in the food
as it cooks—insert the tip to check the temperature near the end
of the cooking time).

8. microplane – this gadget is a modern take on a fine grater
with tiny, extra-sharp blades perfect for fine shreds of citrus
zest and hard cheeses, like parmesan. You'll never go back
ground spices in a jar when you discover how a micro-plane
unlocks the essence of nutmeg and cinnamon.

7. hand held citrus juicer – this is a personal choice that you
may find helpful, but after years of comparison (and a mother
who collects antique reamers!) I've developed a preference for
this simpler tool. Less wrist-work, more control and best of
all, the seeds stay in!

6. garlic press – garlic is one of the most important flavor
elements in many dishes, and unlike onions or green herbs, it's
rarely called upon to add texture or color. This means, you can
get all the benefits of garlic without the work of chopping and
peeling if you have a good garlic press. My favorite is made by
Zyliss. Just pop in a whole garlic clove, peel and all—press—and
voila!—the garlic comes out, the peel stays in, your hands stay
fresh!

5. kitchen shears – once you start to use them, you'll wonder
how you ever lived without them. These glorified scissors are
for more than opening plastic bags (but use them for that too!).
Snip fresh herbs right into your dish at finishing time, trim
green beans, cut up bacon. Kitchen shears can handle any small
chopping job, and saves you having to clean another chopping
board! Many pairs even have an interior "blade" for opening
tight screw tops.

4. mandoline – great for thin slices of any fruit or vegetable,
this tool will help you make beautiful salads and enable
fabulous paper-thin additions to sandwiches (radish! jicama!
parsnip!). Also use for perfectly sliced pepperoni or salami.

3. tongs – keep several on hand. A must for turning meat and
vegetables. Look for comfortable weight and silicone handles to
protect your hands from high heat. Many tongs have a locking
feature in the hinge that allows you to store them in the closed
position, using less drawer space!

2. silicone brush - brushing is a great way to baste meat,
butter breads and add gorgeous egg washes to delicate pastries,
but traditional brushes can be hard to clean and sometimes
leaves their bristle on your beautiful food! ugh. silicone
brushes do great work, never leave their bristles behind and are
a snap to clean.

And finally,

1. whisk – this wonderfully useful tool should always be close
at hand. I use the larger size for whipping cream and eggs... a
smaller one for incorporating ingredients in your smaller
dishes. Experiment with a size and shape that meets your needs
and feels good in your hand. These come in silicone too. For
scrambling eggs, whipping up a quick marinade or dressing,
keeping sauces smooth, a whisk is essential!

Got your interest?

No I haven't gone to the dark side.

The truth is that you can make fat burning supplements "work
like magic" and "do the work for you". Too good to be true?

Well, what's the catch?

You got me there. There is one. Sort of.

As with many ironies in life, those who need fat loss
supplementation the least, get the most benefit from it. Aside
from a lean muscular body, eating clean and training smart as a
lifestyle allows you to access the magic bullet of fat loss - a
pill that allows you to shed body fat whilst maintaining your
current lifestyle and eating habits.

By stoking your metabolism with plenty of fibrous vegetables,
lean protein and good fats and keeping your body free of toxins,
you create the best fat incinerating machine possible. Your
calories are in balance and when you decide to " kick it up a
notch" and add some fat burning supplements you end up with a
nice metabolic boost that sharpens you up fairly quickly without
losing muscle or strength. I know guys who have literally dieted
for a week, sometimes two at most and entered a bodybuilding
contest and placed, and even won. That's the power of mastering
your body and keeping a great physique for life. You are never
far away from your best and when summer comes you literally
flick a few switches and you're set.

You see, this is the power of working with the body and not
against it. Seriously how much untapped potential are you
leaving on the table when it comes to serious weight loss and
explosive, high quality muscle gain? Just by eating right - in
accordance with what your body requires to be able to carry out
effective weight loss and muscle gain and training with a clear
purpose - in accordance with how your body needs to process the
fuel (nutrition) you feed it, is the so called 'magic pill' you
may have been looking for after all this time! Can you believe
it, after all this time, the most powerful fat loss secret known
to man has been lying dormant inside of you.

Do you know, when Michelangelo carved out the Statue of David,
that masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture, he said that the
statue, in all its glory, was already inside marble. In other
words, all he did was carve away what was always there from the
beginning! This is a metaphor for anyone who has tried to lose
weight and failed - the weight loss keys to the kingdom are
already inside you, all you really require is the desire to
understand how to wield the most awesome fat stripping machine
in your immediate possession. In all seriousness, take the time
to understand just the basics of your biology where it comes to
weight loss and muscle gain and what might seem like a little
bit of knowledge has the power to transform your body and life
beyond belief in record time.

So Please, leave the 3 month "summer slim downs" for the
masses. Let them waste a quarter of their year, year after year
spinning their wheels. There is a better way that is well worth
mastering.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
People often find working as second nature. After all, through
history we know that we need to work to feed ourselves. More
importantly, working hard has been the central motto of people
looking to find success. As they say working hard is what your
worth is all about.

But is that still true today? People can understand why hard
work is needed at a time where people have to hunt animals and
gather fruits. During those times, you cannot come back home
without food. In the 21st Century, most people still think that
way. But from the philosophy of a smart worker, "hard work pays
off… but it doesn't pay enough."

Jamie McIntyre drives this point in his book "What I Didn't
Learn in School but Wish I Had". He argues that the trends today
do not call for hard workers. Instead, we need people who think.
While millionaires do not undervalue hard work, they certainly
do not find hard work as the beacon of success. Instead, working
smart is just as important, if not more important, than working
hard.

Then what is smart work? Smart work is thinking work. Today,
people get caught up with different pressures in life that they
feel they need to be in tip-top shape to handle every pressure
that comes at them. However, a myopic understanding of hard work
will result to making things harder instead of succeeding. In
the end, a sense of constant struggle will befall the hard
worker who does not find ways out of his predicament or are
unaware of his current situation.

Today the world is built on finding easier ways at arriving at
things. In finding financial freedom, there is always an easier
way. Finding the easy way out is the initial step to smart work.
As we find the path to making things more efficient and
effective for ourselves, we free up time to become more
productive and useful to other people. Thus, smart work becomes
one of the primary tools for achieving financial freedom in this
age.

A Smart Approach

Developing a millionaire's mindset involves a lot of
discernment, decision making, and critical judgment. In short,
being a millionaire requires a lot of thinking. Being your own
CEO by improving your time management skills, efficiency, and
productivity is a thinking process. Being higher up the
financial pyramid requires being smarter than the next person.
There is always a bigger chance for you to outsmart the next
person than outwork them.

Achieving Financial Freedom the Smart Way

Jamie McIntyre explains that hard work can be detrimental and
is not the key to wealth creation and financial freedom.
Definitely, it is as not as valuable as working smart. There are
different examples including Jamie's life that can testify that
smart work pays off a lot more than hard work. By developing his
mindset, he changed his fortune from a young man with too much
debt to a better man with financial freedom. The changing
mindset allows people to set successful financial strategies and
act instinctively with the vision to create wealth.

Being Above the System

Smart work involves questioning your way out of a system
created by the people who control the resources. Breaking into
the group of the haves involves rising above the world system
that most people fall under. Daring to be different in a
responsible and positive way is a never-ending thinking process
to get ahead of the pack.

Smart work is the true pursuit to happiness. Meanwhile, myopic
hard work is admission of defeat. This distinction is more
obvious in the 21st century than ever before. It is our choice
where we want to end up.

Shelves are the perfect solution for both storage and display.
Shelves can be small and intricate for displaying diamonds in a
jewelery shop window, medium sized for items in a house or
garage, or massive structures in the center of a huge warehouse
for storing machinery like car parts.

Depending on the situation, shelves can be free-standing units,
or mounted on a wall as a single shelf, or positioned against a
wall or in a corner. For storage and maximizing space, shelves
are the perfect solution. You can see what's on the shelf, even
if the item is high up. Small items can be placed in boxes,
which need to be labeled clearly, either with a code or an
actual description of what's in the box. The safety of shelves
is vital, they need to be built properly and ideally attached to
a wall. If this is not done, there is a risk of a single shelf
or the whole shelf unit collapsing, causing damage to what's on
the shelf and possibly injuring or even killing people. Proper
attention must be paid to the attachment system. The shelf must
be securely attached to a wall of possible. For free-standing
units, it should be braced against something to keep it steady.
These considerations are important, because with shelves there
is the possibility of a 'domino effect' where a high shelf
collapses and brings down shelves beneath it. Or a shelf unit in
a warehouse is hit by a fork-lift truck and crashes against
other shelf units which then fall and bring others down in the
process. Larger, heavier items should always be stored on the
lower shelves and lighter items on the upper shelves. This is
the right thing to do for a number of reasons. Visually this
looks better balanced in a display, say in a jewelery shop
window, where large, chunky watches are lower down and delicate
items like earrings are on upper shelves.

Also, getting a bulky item of a lower shelf is safer than
getting it from a high level. If you slip and drop an item, both
you and the item have less distance to fall. And the stability
of the shelf unit is improved if the heavier items are lower
down on the structure. The heavier items actually keep the shelf
unit more securely anchored, whereas they would have the
opposite effect if stored on high shelves. Some shelf units have
a mechanical element to save space.

The shelf units can be opened up so you can walk between the
shelf units, then closed again so that the units have no space
between them. Such systems are commonly installed in libraries
as a space-saving measure. Many more documents can be stored
this way. However users do need to be aware of safety and check
the aisles before closing them to avoid trapping people. In
terms of materials, shelves are usually made from a fairly
limited range of materials. Display shelves in shops are often
made of perspex, plastic or felt-covered board. Domestic shelves
tend to be made of wood or metal. Industrial shelves are
occasionally made of wood, but are predominately metal.

Thoughts on College Education

So we have finished our college phase and ready to tackle our
"careers." Ten to twenty years down the line, you still have
your career but you are not getting anywhere. Perhaps a question
should be asked… Is this it? While this may not be a question of
doom, the "it" factor can bring worries to a lot of people.
Having to go to work every living day, ending in a bi-monthly
payment, and getting on with life must have been the ideal life
when you were in college. At this time reality has set in, and
your ideals have been betrayed. It seems like you have been
living in the past.

However, here comes a new idea: 21st century education. What is
it? Is it the hoopla of courses? Maybe a new hip trend? Well
whatever it is, revolutionary seems to be the right word.

21st Century Education as the New Standard

21st century education is a tag name for people that challenges
what classical education is. It dissects the purpose of
education and its value to the well-being of a person. 21st
century education is the gamut of current learning. It is the
application of now rather than what could have been. 21st
century education is a continuing change in mindset in a fast
changing world. It is a tool not only to be with the times, but
to be ahead of the trend.

Thus, in the subject of financial freedom, wealth creation, and
personal management, 21st century education is our guide.
However, it should not be merely a commodity. This learning
comes with a cost, whether we talk money, effort, and time. In
the end, it might be the best investment in your life.

The value of online education as a tool to spread 21st century
education is the essence of continuing internet-based education.
The wonders of the internet from a pod of entertainment to a
reliable source of life changing information has allowed great
people such as Jamie McIntyre to share their knowledge of wealth
creation and financial freedom. Through these medium of online
education classes, professionals and fresh graduates can find
the most significant material in their 21st century perspective
shift.

The New Way

Learning the 21st century way is the essence of internet-based
education. Online education gives students the flexibility of
time that allows us to choose and evaluate information without
being spoon fed by real faculty. At the same time, online
learning allows us a choice of pace. We can wiz through these
lessons or allow days to meditate on the topics such as the
"right attitude about money." In the end, this allows us to be
accountable with our studies and the time that is left free for
us. This practice is training in itself in achieving the value
of 21st century education in the real world.

Continuing education online courses should not be a burden for
us. However, we must not also take these things for granted. A
missed lesson is wasted time, and in achieving financial
freedom, time is money. Online learning is therefore an outlet
for training and principled shaping of our belief to become
wealth creators.

Online learning and training is the trend. 21st century
education is another trend. Together, they are trends that won't
go away. What they offer is values that successful people have.
Therefore, continuing online education courses about 21st
century perspective is our choice to make. It is a choice that
is definitely getting easier by the minute.

Skiing in the Cairngorms
I have always wanted to try skiing, but was afraid of all
the extra costs, like lift passes, ski hire and all the
clothes - not to mention getting all the way to somewhere
cold enough to try it. However this time was different.

I had a friend from the UK who had always wanted to have a
go at it too, so we decided that next time we went away
together, it would be somewhere cold enough for snow!
Scotland in January fitted the bill, so we got it all
booked - and I was quite surprised at how little it cost
us....

I'd called the ski centre after finding their contact
details on the mountains own website (?) to find a very
helpful man on the other end of the line. He told me that
the tuition price included all the essentials including
free travel on the mountain railway, ski passes and of
course a full days tuition and you could hire any extras if
you needed them.

He also advised that due to the temperamental weather, if
you turn up on your booked day and there is no chance of
skiing, they will just move your lesson on to the next day
for free. I don't know why I was so worried about all the
extra costs - as so far, there don't seem to be any!

The accommodation we chose was as close to the mountains as
you could get, and it turned out - the best place to be if
you are an outdoor type. It was a centre for all the
associations you would expect up here, including avalanche
research, mountain rescue and training. It was also a
learning centre for anyone interested in rock climbing, ice
hiking, river and sea canoeing to name a few - and just by
staying at the lodge you had free access to their climbing
walls, gym and pool throughout your stay.

Anyway, on the first day, we read the weather and avalanche
reports (!) for the mountain over a hot breakfast and it
all looked like it was going to be a good day for skiing.
There was no snow on the lower parts of the mountains, but
as we pulled into the car park we could see thick snow just
off to the side! Getting more and more excited we headed
up to the equipment block and made ourselves known. It was
only at this point that they took any money from me, I had
booked us in so far on purely on a promise.

The staff couldn't have been more patient and helpful as we
were shipped over to collect our boots, and were having
some serious trouble getting them on, and then walking in
them. Well, they take all the movement away from you lower
leg, ankle and foot, so we were hobbling along on our
heels. There was me, trying to carry my 4ft ski's (which
were very heavy for me) under one arm, and the 4ft poles
under the other! We must have looked like right newbies to
all the regulars there - I can imagine they have some word
for us as we head off in one big group towards the mountain
train.

The morning session was nice and slow, on a flat patch of
snow not to far up the mountain, with only 5 other
beginners in our group. It was very strange to not have
control of your own feet, and not able to step off them at
any time, but it didn't take long to realise that you can't
really fall off. The boots totally supported your body - I
mean you could sit right down or lean right forward and
touch the fronts of your ski's without falling over. This
increased my confidence no end, and I was actually skiing
down a little slope after about 20 minutes!

It was then that I found out I couldn't quite stop! I
understood what the tutor was telling me to do, but my feet
couldn't quite control the ski's. It was a very strange to
be telling my feet one thing and have them do another. For
the rest of the morning I enviously watched the girl who
couldn't stop falling over earlier to be confidently
turning left and right and stopping whenever she wanted to,
while I was overshooting into the fence or way off down the
hill! Needless to say at this speed, I found out that you
could fall over quite easily in fact!!

We broke for lunch, with me still unable to master turning
and stopping, and headed up the mountain where we ate in
the highest restaurant in Scotland (apparently). The
afternoon session was right at the top of the mountain, and
when we got there, you couldn't see past the end of your
ski's - there was a blizzard going on! We all wrapped up
safe and dry in all our clothes, with only our noses
exposed to the weather. The fresh snow made skiing so much
easier and as the snow lessened we were slaloming between
our skiing poles and were all 10 times better than this
morning, and I finally mastered the whole stopping thing (I
found it easier without the poles in my hands).

No joke, after an hour up here, we were all off on the ski
lift to the very top slope and were all confident enough to
ski down, following the tutor back to the bottom of the ski
lift, then went up again.

All in all it was a great day. I can now ski with
confidence, I wasn't cold at all at any time, I didn't get
wet from all the falling over, I wasn't hurt from all the
falling over and I had gotten to see a whole lot of snow!

Loving Yourself: It Can Transform Your Life
"Love your neighbor as yourself."

This part of the Great Commandment formed the basis of the
Golden Rule in western civilization, yet it is not always
easy to live by.

At times, it is hard enough to love our neighbor, let alone
ourselves! This rule of human conduct addresses the heart
of humanity's greatest need - the need for love, and
uncovers our difficulty in practicing healthy self-love.

Love is the greatest, most abundant resource in the
Universe, yet it is also the least understood and utilized.

It is the essence of Divinity: radiating purely, limitless,
and endlessly throughout all time and space. Love is
present in the darkest moment of your life even as it is
present during the moments of absolute joy.

If love is everywhere, why is it that we are not able to
experience its presence continuously?

Just as our eyes see that which we focus on, our hearts
receive that which we are tuned into. And for the most
part, we have been conditioned to look for what is wrong
with ourselves and others rather than to look for what is
right. We tend to focus on what is not working in our
lives; on the problems and the difficulties we are facing.
And as long as we focus on what does not work, we will
continue to see our lives as lacking: lacking perfection,
abundance or love.

Because of this viewpoint, we tend to find fault with
ourselves, with others or with life for what does not seem
to work - and so we slide into a mindset of judgment. So
often, we judge and criticize others in an effort to get
ourselves off the hot seat, knowing full well that we have
been guilty of the same - or worse - behavior. Yet even as
we judge others, we start building up subconscious guilt
over these very judgments. We wait for the other shoe to
drop: for the rebuttal, the discovery and judgment of our
own faults - the boomerang effect of our own judgmental
attitudes... and so we move into fear. The more we judge,
the more vulnerable and fearful we get to feel ourselves,
afraid to be exposed for our own mistakes and perceived
failures.

This downward spiral into judgment and fear forms the core
of scarcity consciousness and it begets more of the same.
It comes from having our focus fixed inappropriately on the
world of effects around us, instead of reconnecting to the
world of cause or Spirit.

Wouldn't you love to exchange these limiting lenses for
something that offers you a more meaningful viewpoint
instead?

Instead of focusing on what doesn't work, you can change
the way you look at things and allow the awareness of a
higher perspective to guide you. You can choose to align
with your true nature of love, created in the image of your
Creator. From this starting point - your true nature as
love - you can begin to see things differently. All true
change starts with that basic choice!

Once you acknowledge Divinity at the core of your being,
you can start changing the way you have interpreted life by
relinquishing the need to see things in the simplistic
terms of duality: right or wrong, good or bad, desirable or
despicable. Instead, become aware of all the nuances in
between, and realize that there are many more options along
the spectrum than you had perhaps been aware of.

Even more importantly, recognize that all options along the
spectrum form part of the reality you call life. It simply
is what it is, and your judgment does not make it more or
less so. By seeing that everything simply is part of the
continuous unfolding of the Universe, you are restoring
your focus to see the big picture and you can let go of the
innate tendency to judge.

Since everything simply is what it is, your judgment does
not make it more or less so. Instead, judgment changes you
into a mirror image of that which you judge, because we
become whatever we focus on!

Instead of judging, then, you can choose to forgive
instead: forgive yourself for your role in focusing on what
appears not to work and thereby creating a world of pain
and suffering; forgive others for not fulfilling the
expectations you may have had of them. As you start
forgiving, the brittleness within starts softening until
all fear is released and you live in a field of love.

To help us along this journey of personal transformation,
we have been blessed with teachers in the form of the
relationships in our lives. It is through relationships
that we grow as individuals, because they offer us the
opportunity to see ourselves reflected. They show you - in
real time and upfront - how what you put out, is reflected
back at you. Relationships can represent either a crucible
of judgment, fear and pain; or they can show you the way to
self-perfection. The choice is yours.

How can you approach relationships as a tool to discover
that who you are is all you need to be?

The way you look at yourself will determine, to a large
part, the way you treat other people. If you and I view
human beings as nothing more than a pattern of conditional
responses, then we will try to make people fit with our
goals, and that leads to conflict and disappointment.

There exists the potential for pure goodness in the worst
of us, and there exists the potential for pure evil in the
best of us. When you observe someone acting from a place
that does not reflect their core of pure goodness,
recognize this fact so you can choose to no longer judge
them. Instead, recognize that they are acting from a
lesser place of fear or judgment within, and then
reinterpret their behavior as a call for love. Allow
compassion for them to arise within because you recognize
that you, too, have the potential to act from the lesser
part within.

As human beings created in the image of our Loving Creator,
we are all equal, for we are all part of the One and of one
another. I am able to see the weakness in the other only
because that same potential exists in me. You can only see
in the other that which already exists in you.

Apply this principle the next time you see someone acting
in a way that causes judgment or resistance to arise within
you. Simply ask forgiveness for that aspect in you that
you have recognized in them. Instead of judging the other
for their behavior, you can now give thanks to them for
showing you the part in yourself that needed healing. When
you do this, Love flows into old wounds that were scabbed
over by judgment and fear, and heals them.

The "ugliness" which you saw in the other, now becomes a
gift. It graciously offered you the opportunity for
healing and self-perfection. Now gratitude and love can
flow to bring healing to yourself first, and then to the
other. No longer do you stand in a place of judgment and
criticism; for you now see yourself as neither better nor
worse. By forgiving yourself the weakness you see in the
other, you are able to love yourself with compassion and
lovingkindness.

When you come from this loving place, you are finally ready
to practice the Golden Rule of loving your neighbor as
yourself.

The practice of self-forgiveness frees you up in a powerful
way to forgive others. Likewise, as you learn to look at
yourself with gentle lovingkindness and love, you will be
able to look at others in the same way. The more we
practice self-forgiveness and self-love, the more we are
able to let Divine Love flow through us to everyone around.

This practice is not always easy to do, because it requires
us to step back from conditioned notions of how things are
supposed to look. It is helpful to keep in mind that every
truth we discover about ourselves enlarges our relationship
with life, and expands our capacity to truly live.

Ultimately, the more you can see yourself mirrored in
others around you, the more compassion and forgiveness you
will experience for both yourself and others, freeing up
the love within you so you can live by the Golden Rule.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Much has been written about the demise of Google's AdSense of
late, but the advertising behemoth still seems to go from
strength to strength, despite competition from Yahoo! and
Microsoft and despite many webmasters' dissatisfaction at how
Google run their program and their labyrinthine Terms of Service
(ToS) conditons. Yet sites like Celtnet are now providing
contextual ads, search systems and RSS feed ads based on
ClickBank products that can potentially bring webmasters and
bloggers much higher incomes than if they were using AdSense.

Many have pointed towards ClickBank as a possible 'Adsense
Killer', but are they correct in this appraisal? On the face of
it, probably not... AdSense and ClickBank work very differently.
AdSense is very much a marketing tool, designed from the ground
up as a way of displaying advertisements on your website that
are matched to your website's content by Google itself. As such
it's a powerful tool in that you get the ads in return for some
of the real estate of your web pages. Each time someone clicks
on an ad that you display money is credited into your AdSense
account. Adsense is therefore a PPC (pay per click) system.
Google spends considerable time and effort working out what your
web pages are about so that they can appropriately match their
ads to your content.

ClickBank works more like a brokerage house. Their aim is to
put the vendors of electronic products in touch with affiliates
who will promote those products. They handle the relationship
and manage the sales. This is the major problem of ClickBank in
that it's geared towards managing the affiliate-vendor
relationship. It's not geared towards the selling of products.
If you wish to promote a product supported by ClickBank then you
have to go to the vendor's website and either use their
affiliate tools (if they have them) or you have to create sales
pages and sales blurb based on the information you can find
about the product.

You can then either create a sales page or you can create ads
that resemble those delivered by AdSense for your own site. This
is laborious, but can be done. But once you have those ads,
things are still different. As an affiliate (though you are
selling the vendor's product you are actually, in effect, an
affiliate of ClickBank) it doesn't matter how many people click
on your ad... you only make money when a product is sold.
Admittedly, you could be making $40 or more on a single sale
whilst you may only be making pennies from an AdSense click. So,
if you have enough traffic ClickBank-based ads could be very
lucrative. But you still have to create those ads yourself.

This is where a number of third party systems come in. They
take the ClickBank product feed, dump it into a databese and
create AdSense-like contextual ads based around the ClickBank
product database. But there's one major problem to this
approach, in that many of the product descriptions and titles in
the datafeed that ClickBank make available to all are designed
to attract affiliates and not to directly sell the products
themselves. In effect, the majority of the descriptions provided
tell you how good the product is for an affiliate marketer to
promote, rather than how good it is for someone to buy (and why
they should buy it).

One of the main sites in this arena is the Celtnet ClickBank
Marketplace. Here each product is checked and the product
descriptions and product titles are annotated by hand. Each
product is also backed by an image either of the product itself
or of the sales website. These are all loaded into a database
which is searchable. This makes the system one of the most
versatile for any affiliate looking for ClickBank products to
promote, as it's sales rather than affilaite centred. And the
extended description means that you can better look for the type
of product you wish to promote.

Even better, the site provides tools so that you can create
your own AdSense-like contextual ads based on the new
descriptions and titles. Simple tools allow ad blocks to be
built. These can be configured in terms of appearance, like
AdSense ads and the content can be specified in terms of the
section of ClickBank you wish them to appear from or based on
any keywords you specify. Thus you can make the ads as specific
to your site or web page as you need. The ads are all served
dynamically and change on every refresh. Each time ClickBank
updates its product feed the database and therefor your ads are
also updated.

As a new feature image-based ads are now offered. These are
AdSense-like contextual ads but they give the product/website
image as well as titles and text. As research has shown that
image-based ads can be more effective than plain ads this could
be a real boon for your website.

You can also get an RSS feed of ads, allowing you to mix Google
AdSense and ClickBank ads on the same page. Moreover, the search
technology that runs the Celtnet site is also available for your
own website so you cna offer your visitors the chance to search
ClickBank, but using the more comprehensive descriptions offered
by Celtnet.

Best of all, this technology is offered free to everyone and
you embed your own ClickBank nickname into the search system and
the ad feeds so you make the money on any sales generated. For
now, this has to rank as one of the best AdSense-lookalikes for
ClickBank products currently available.

So, is ClickBank the AdSense killer? Not yet, perhaps... But
with websites such as Celtnet working on offering AdSense
alternatives pre-loaded with ClickBank products real
alternatives to AdSense are emerging (and these products don't
have restrictive ToSes and don't dictate how many ad units you
can use). Indeed, a recent small-scale comparison of AdSense and
ClickBank contextual ads run by the Celtnet website revealed
that the ClickBank ads out-performed AdSense ads by a factor of
2:1 in terms of income generation.

search and Contextual Ads Code to all as part of this site. A
small percentage of the sales generated from these ads go to
help support his 'Help Stefan' campaign for Liberian refugees in

================== ARTICLE START ==================
When you have a home based business there are many ups and
downs. The last thing you want to worry about, while trying to
figure everything else out, is whether or not your home based
business is reaching enough people to make a profit. This is
called advertising!

When it comes to advertising there are many ways you can do
this. Some may even work better than others for your particular
business. You want to be sure to reach as many people as you
can. In this article I will provide a few different ways you can
advertise your business. I trust that one, if not more, will
work for your business. Also recognize that there are many other
forms of advertising that can also be done. We will touch on
some these in another article.

Newspaper Advertisement

Newspapers are a powerful media. They cover news, good and bad,
provide job listings, and advertise anything someone is willing
to pay for. This can be quite costly, depending on how big you
want the ad to be and how long you want it to run. It is still
one of today's methods in getting the word out there about your
business and what you can do for the public. Be sure to convey
why your product(s) or service is the very best.

Television Advertisement

This is an expensive, yet effective, way to advertise. Most
people in America own a television, or at the very least can
find a way to view one. As you know when you are right in the
middle of the best part of your favorite show, there comes a
commercial break. Commercials are where people who run
businesses or offer some sort of service tell about their
product(s) that they want you to buy from them instead of
someone else's. If your advertising budget allows it put your
service out there for the public to see. You might be surprised
how many people actually watch the commercials!

Internet Advertisement

This seems to be one of the best and most inexpensive ways to
get the word out about your business. The best part about it is
that you can set up your company's own website for relatively
little advertising dollars. Keep the information on your
company's website up to date and truthful. For example: If you
are having a sale but it ends in a week, put the information on
there about the sale, but go back in a week and take the info
off. If someone acts on an advertised sale that is not happening
you would have to honor their request, therefore, you may end up
losing money. Internet advertising, as well as being up to date,
also must be written to be found by the search engines, this is
a real art. However, there are many software programs to help
you with the search engines. There are also internet gurus who
will write your ad for you--for a price! There is much to learn
in this field, but it will become more of a necessity as more
and more people do their shopping on line.

With the prices of golf equipment where they are today, it only
makes good sense to be custom club fit for your new clubs. Yes,
it may cost you another fee to be club fit for a set of golf
clubs but, trust me; this will be less than 10% of the price of
your new investment. If this still seems like to much money,
find a local PGA professional who will include the cost with a
purchase of a Driver or a set of golf irons. To use the phrase
from Nike, Just Do It. Let me tell you why owning a set of golf
clubs that is built to your specifications is so important.

All golfers are not created equal. Every single golfer is a
little bit different in size, body frame as well as the shape of
their golf swing. A proper custom club fit will result in a set
of clubs that are specifically suited to your height, strength,
club head speed and individual swing characteristics.

What most people do not realize is that off-the-shelf golf
clubs are one-size-fits-few. Approximately 10% of all club
fittings end up with standard specs. Actually golf manufacturers
have changed their standards multiple times over the last ten
years. Since custom fitting has gained popularity with the
average golfer, manufacturing companies have made lie angles
more upright and lofts stronger. This obviously is in an attempt
to help the average to higher handicap golfer.

A club fit can be performed by a PGA Professional. How do you
go about finding the right PGA Professional to fit you? Ask a
lot of questions. Just like you are trying to find a doctor or a
dentist, ask your friends, co-workers and call golf shops. The
proper questions to ask are as follows:

· Is the professional certified by a major manufacturer to fit
their clubs?

· Does the PGA Professional have a fitting cart or multiple
fitting carts with what you are looking for (Mens, Ladies,
steel, graphite, right-handed, left-handed clubs) available?

· How experienced is the PGA Professional?

· Will I be fit outdoors to see the entire ball flight?

Contrary to the belief of many, this does not have to be a
time-consuming or expensive endeavor. A very basic clubfitting
might take as little as 15 minutes, with the average being 30-45
minutes.

As for price, some clubs will give you a fitting free of charge
as long as you agree to purchase your new set from them. Most
charge a modest fee, perhaps $35 to $50 being typical.

Expect to hit many variations of the same type club. For
instance, a well-equipped fitting center might have dozens (in
some cases, hundreds) of a particular club, usually a 6-iron for
men and a 7-iron for women. Each of the 6-irons will be
different from the next in some way.

The idea is to find the best combination of shaft (length, flex
and kickpoint), loft (standard, strong or flat), lie (strong or
flat), grip and swingweight, among other factors.

By watching the ball flight produced by each variation of a
club, and checking chalk marks left on adhesive strips attached
to the clubface and sole, a clubfitter can quickly narrow the
search and lead the student to the best fit.

The club fit procedure can be done for every club in the bag,
including putters, but iron fittings are most common, with
driver fittings following closely behind.

Of course, a proper club fit only works if you follow up by
purchasing a set of clubs custom made to those specifications.
Two things to keep in mind: If you want a set of, for example,
Titleist clubs, the ones you order after a proper clubfitting
will cost approximately the same as the same set bought off the
shelf; and a golfer is under no obligation to purchase a set
from the pro doing the measurements.

So there's little reason for anyone in the market for new clubs
to avoid a proper club fit.

These programs teach people how to live healthier and develop a
mind-body-spirit connection through the use of meditation,
Ayurvedic therapies, yoga, relationship counseling and healthy
living skills. Programs last an average of five days, and
immerse each participant in the theories and practices that
promote meditation and the raising of consciousness. Programs
cost between $1275 and $4400, depending on how far in advance
you register.

Dr. Deepak Chopra and his staff also travel the world teaching
these seminars. A complete schedule can be found at his website.
If you have the money and inclination, one of the Chopra
programs would fit nicely into a longer vacation.

Those who wish to teach similar topics can take training in
meditation, Ayurveda and yoga. Training is allowed once you meet
the described prerequisites, and pay for the training costs.
Once you are a certified instructor, you can get discounts on
other programs at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.

The Chopra Center for Wellbeing also has an extensive online
shop. The shop contains products for the home including fine art
and music, along with Ayurvedic products and aromatherapy. One
of the Ayurvedic products Deepak Chopak promotes is called Zrii.

Zrii is a mixture of fruit juices and herbs that provides solid
nutrition, including phytonutrients, amino acids, antioxidants,
trace minerals and more. Zrii is now offering the public the
opportunity to promote Zrii as a business opportunity.

The Zrii company offers a Fast Start Training Bonus for
sponsoring and training new people, and a weekly payment for any
product purchases they make in their first ninety days. The Fast
Start Bonus Pool is paid on a monthly basis. For every five
people you enroll in a given month, you get one share. They also
offer other monthly bonuses that reward you for achieving
various goals.

A phone number is given for support in joining and doing well
in the program. There is no information given as to what it
costs to join, or what you need to do to complete your training.
There is also no information on how they want you to market
their product.

Zrii does offer an incentive trip if you qualify, to visit the
Chopra Center of Wellbeing. There is also a members-only area of
the website. It looks like they are still preparing their big
launch, so if you're looking for a brand new company that hasn't
saturated the market, this one may be worth checking out. If you
prefer a proven track record, you may want to look at something
else.
