================== ARTICLE START ==================
Creating a professional office setting that can improve office
productivity and public perception is a goal that is shared by
companies both large and small. Some companies obviously make
this look easy with a "look and feel" that seems natural. Others
seem to be hopelessly lost and are obviously unsure as to how
they should proceed. A great way to get started is with the
addition of hardwood chair mats to the office space.

One of the biggest questions commonly asked concerning hardwood
chair mats is exactly how they can improve the appearance of any
setting, especially an office. For starters, hardwood floor
chair mats look elegant and professional in nature. Purchasing
high-quality office furniture accessories is the first step in
starting a successful office transformation. In terms of
appearance and professionalism created, hardwood chair mats do
something that plastic mats are unable to accomplish.

As with all other office furniture accessories, hardwood chair
mats are sold in a number of different formats. Most popular
seem to be the "T" shaped mats which can partially extend under
a table or desk to accommodate chairs and obstructions, but
rectangular shapes and even round and oblong shapes are
available from various sources to best match the office space in
question. In terms of improving office appearance and
professionalism, most see success when creating an office theme
or keeping up with a current theme. This is easy to accomplish
as almost all wood chair mats are available in a number of
different finishes, including natural woods such as oak, cherry,
and walnut, and some in other solid color finishes as well.
Simply match available chair mats to the finish of an office
desk or other surrounding furnishings and the transformation can
begin.

Most reputable retailers who sell hardwood chair mats sell a
style that prevents floor damage. These damage-free floor mats
are ideal for improving the appearance of any office setting.
Cheaper alternatives, such as plastic chair mats, usually have
spikes that hold the mats into place; however, these spikes can
damage carpet, as well as hardwood floors. If an office is
rearranged and the desk and office chair are moved, unflattering
marks may be left on the floor.

As highlighted above, there are a number of ways that hardwood
floor mats can improve the appearance of any setting. Purchase
of quality chair mats that present and maintain this desired
appearance should be easier by keeping these in mind. As a recap
of the most important factors, consider those chair mats that
match current office furniture, including office desks and
nearby shelves, files and other furnishings, choose those that
are sold without damaging spikes, and do business with a
supplier who stands behind their products with warranties.

SuccessImage is an office desk accessory supplier that
specializes in supplying strong and durable laminate based
hardwood finished chair mats which are made in the United
States. In fact, all chair mats sold are backed by a full ten
year warranty. With a number of office chair mat buying options,
in terms of size and shape, you can take comfort in knowing that
your purchase will improve the appearance of your office, as
well as improve productivity for years to come.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The very 1st state prison in the United States was founded
before there were states at all, let alone united ones.
Connecticut's New-Gate Prison, originally a copper mine, was
began it's role as a detention center in the fall of 1773 as the
colony's public "gaol" and workhouse.

It was called New-Gate after the fearsome prison of the same
name in England. During the early years of the American
Revolutionary War it held captured loyalists and torries. It was
also a Prisoner of War facility in the American Civil War.

The people of Connecticut were no less concerned with budget
over-run in the late 18th century than we are today, so the
supposed "self-sufficiency" of New-Gate was very appealing.
Copper could still be mined from the dank tunnels that made up
the prison, allowing prisoners to pay for their own upkeep.

In addition, the structure of the prison, i.e. two shafts, a
couple of iron trap-doors and a veritable dungeon of mine
tunnels, meant that a minimal staff would be needed. This
included the warden or "Keeper" three guards or "overseers" and
a few skilled miners, paid from the prisoners salaries, to
instruct the prisoner on the finer points of copper mining.

Surely such a prison was a model of efficiency and security;
it's a shame then that the very 1st prisoner escaped in less
than a month.

On December 22nd of 1773, John Hinson was the 1st man
incarcerated in Connecticut's new New-Gate Prison. Little is
known about Hinson, other than that he was 20 year-old and stood
5'6" tall. Even his crime has been forgotten, though it must
have been serious; the New-Gate was reserved for burglars,
horse-thieves, counterfeiters, highwaymen and other such
hard-cases.

What is known is that on January 9th John Hinson escaped,
possibly using his compact size and the vigor of youth to climb
up a 70-foot well shaft, but more probably aided by an
accomplice on the outside with a length of rope and a bit of
cash to bribe an overseer.

One rather romantic (and unsubstantiated) tale involves his
beautiful ladylove coming to his rescue. The only certainty is
that if he was ever imprisoned in Connecticut again, then those
records have been lost.

Three months later three more convicts escaped, leading local
authorities to grudgingly admit that some sort of wall may be
necessary. With the addition of a stone enclosure and a few more
guards the prison became far more secure, though it never quite
lived up to its initial boast of being escape-proof.

For the next 54-year of its operation some 800 hard-timers
lived and worked in Connecticut's largest state-operated
dungeon. It wasn't until 1827 that the New-Gate was abandoned as
a permanent detention facility, though it did see limited
military use in the Civil War.

A new, nominally less medieval prison was built in Wethersfield
and the prisoners were transferred there. Presumably the
prisoners regarded this as an improvement in their situation. No
matter how dismal the new prison was, at least it wasn't
subterranean.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
When you are about to buy kitchen appliances and fixtures for
your new home, it becomes obvious that you have to be wise in
spending and carefully plan to keep your costs under control.
These items are such that they consume more money if you do not
make a wise decision and finally at the end of the day you will
find that you have crossed your budget. One of the smart way is
to decide before you begin your shopping is to make a proper
list of what are your requirements and what is your budget.
People tend to spend more as they go to the big malls where the
products are lined up in such a way, that it can attract anyone
who are on a shopping spree. When you see all those high tech
gadgets lined up, it is difficult to stop the temptation from
buying. Unfortunately, the heart often takes over when looking
over the latest high-tech gadgets and features on the item being
considered and results in the purchase of a much more expensive
item than is truly needed. So take some time to decide exactly
what your spending limit is before you even begin to shop and
then stick to your guns on that decision all the way through the
buying process.

I have a better idea, to refer to the internet as the guide to
make your choice, the current portals on appliances such as
Canada appliances, offers you prices as that of warehouse and
features of the various models of appliances that you can choose
from and make a comparative study to fit your needs. If you are
tired of the entire days hard work at your job or business and
you cannot bear the endless wait at the malls, then this website
can certainly help you to make the right choice. More over
information provided on the website also helps you to decide,
which model will be perfect for you. In other words, invest your
hard-earned money into essentials not features. Always opt for
better quality over more features too.

Last week, we were in requirement of a good refrigerator, since
a old refrigerator was not working properly. I remember going to
many shopping malls looking a perfect one for us. We did our
survey for three consecutive weekends and still we were not
coming to any conclusion. At some places, price was a matter of
concern and some place they did not had the desired model. Then
some one told us about this website Toronto appliances, where I
simply logged into this website and went to columns where they
had lined up different refrigerators. I asked my wife to join me
and then we did our comparisons and finally we concluded that we
will go for a refrigerator from Frigidaire. We ordered the
product online and it was shipped on to our doorstep within two
days. The website helped us in giving entire information on
issues such as payments, after sales service, warranty issues
and so on. We were really happy with the kind of prompt sales
service that we were provided with, that we decided not to just
lay your hand on the nearest dealer or home depot. Be smart to
make an online purchase at Toronto appliances. to avoid the
sales tax and get it shipped at your home for a marginal amount.
The end of season sales generally involve long queues and you
can benefit from the sales benefits of this portal right in the
comfort of your home.

Finally, consider the warranty on the items you want to buy. In
the traditional shopping way you will have to ask so many
questions pertaining to the warranty and then, will you have to
send the appliance out to be repaired under warranty? or is home
repair covered under the warranty contract? But when you have
your order shipped from Toronto appliance, they give you full
assurance of the quality of the product and the service that
they render once it needs any repairs is remarkable. We had a
minor problem with the compressor of the refrigerator and the
service men were very prompt to reply and handled it within a
week. Now that's what I would term as giving customer
satisfaction like the way they promised it at the time of
purchase

The time is always drawing near. It's that day for sweethearts
and romance. If you have a special someone in your life, then
you'd better not forget. Valentines Day is that special time for
you to express how much you truly care. Now comes the hard part.
What do you choose when weeding through the many gifts for
Valentines? If there's one thing you can rely on, it's that all
of the restaurants will be packed and you'd better have
something else to offer. Luckily, gifts for Valentines can be
found practically anywhere. For married people you even have
more choice, these can be a good pick of Kitchen appliance which
she always wanted.

When in search of that perfect gift for Valentines Day, you
will probably journey out to the local mall for a fun day of
browsing through the numerous crowded stores for the ideal gift.
Well, we all know that's not exactly true. In reality, if you're
male, you will wait until the last minute and hit a few shops
that haven't closed yet, in a desperate search of gifts for
Valentines. If you want to avoid this embarrassing feat that
only leads to a mediocre gift at best, you can try the Internet.
Cyberspace will provide you with infinite gifts for Valentines.
Don't break your back at the last minute. Valentines Day is
supposed to be fun, not stressful. I tried one site Toronto
appliance where I was surprised to see many different brands
appliances at very reasonable prices. They provide products at
warehouse rates which makes them one of the cheapest in the
market.

Back in the day, like a few years ago, I would always hit up
the mall jewelry stores for Valentines Day. Like most other men,
I was in search of that sweet little something that wouldn't
break the bank. I mean come on, it was just Christmas. After
sorting through hundreds of ear rings and bracelets, I usually
settled for what was reasonably priced, yet somewhat nice. That
was in the past, now that my lady love is my wife and more
matured in terms of being the boss of the house, she like to
have things that she can use on a daily basis, the best way to
make her happy is keep a watch on her and find out which
appliance she needs the most and buy that appliance for her on
special occasions like the Valentines day, Wedding anniversary,
Birthday and so on. This year she was planning to buy a coffee
maker, I knew it she always wanted that because she likes coffee
very much. I began surfing the Internet for and luckily one of
my friends told me about this website. I surfed the website's
cooking product section where you can find different brands of
kitchen appliances, I found this good coffee maker from Bosch, I
checked out the features of different models of coffee maker
machine and finally decided to buy one. I got the machine in
time and gave it as a present to my wife. She liked the machine
very much and I was happy to see her feel happy. The first time
I found that perfect gift for Valentines Day, I was dumbfounded.
What had I been doing the past few years? The Internet became my
closest friend. When in search of gifts, hop on to Toronto
appliances the selection is incomparable. You will be amazed at
the cut in prices.

Eat Your Peas and Carrots, Or At Least Your Carrots
A new study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine
links intake of beta-carotene (a pre-form of vitamin A
found in carrots) to improved cognitive performance in
later life. We have appreciated the benefits of vitamin A
in brain development for a long time. But until now, the
beneficial role in the adult brain has been less obvious.

The power of the new study is that it followed participants
in a controlled study for 18 years, from about 55 to 73
years old on average. This provides the ability to really
look at long-term affect.

Time is Too Short

The difficulty with many nutrition studies, especially
those looking at cognitive health, is that they are too
short. Many vitamins probably help maintain brain health
due to their anti-oxidant properties, allowing them to
prevent or slow age-related decline of the brain. These
affects may take many years or even decades to be become
apparent because your brain doesn't go belly-up overnight.

Several studies in the past have failed to show the
cognitive benefits of vitamin supplements, but most of them
were only a few years long. Grodstein et al., who authored
the new study, actually looked at groups that participated
anywhere from 1 to 18 years.

Although they found no observable cognitive benefit of
vitamin A supplementation after 5 years, the benefit was
clear by 15 years. Most other controlled studies have been
much shorter, with a few making it to the 9-year mark at
best. This may be a reason for lack of positive results in
the past.

There are many 'observational' studies that support the
cognitive benefits of taking vitamins, but these are
typically plagued with other possible explanations. For
example, people who take vitamins also exercise more, smoke
and drink less, eat better, and generally limit their vices
to a number they can count on one hand.

Control Freaks (make good scientists) The new study by
Grodstein et al. is exciting because it presents some of
the first data with a controlled study, large groups of
people, and a long time course. The researchers looked at
about 1,000 people per group for the short-term study (1-3
years) and about 2,000 people per group for the long-term
study (up to 18 years).

Although the authors did not directly link vitamin
supplementation to reducing Alzheimer's disease, the
cognitive skills they measured are relevant to those that
decline in dementia. Also, previous studies in animals have
shown that vitamin A may help prevent some of the problems
in the brain that are associated with Alzheimer's disease
progression.

Too Much of a Good Thing

There is no magic bullet for preventing disease, but the
new study suggests that vitamin A is beneficial for
life-long brain health. This doesn't mean you should dose
up on vitamin A, however, because it is toxic at high
levels. A safe form found in quality nutritional
supplements is beta-carotene, which the body converts to
vitamin A as it is needed.

Still, no nutrients work all by themselves. A good quality
multi-vitamin that contains optimal levels of beta-carotene
along with all the other essential vitamins is a good way
to go.

gratification when you succeed and that helps keep you going,
however on the flip side it is also one of the biggest
hindrances you will face in life. You see your ego just wants
you to be safe, to have fun and to be the best, however what it
doesn't realize is that failure can be a good thing. In fact,
your ego hates failure, it loathes nothing more, and this is
where most people go wrong in their career, health and
relationships.

Your ego hates failure so much that it puts up protective
barriers against it, it makes you feel bad when you aren't the
best looking, smartest, most charming guy around. It is the
reason why fat people hate going to the gym, often the fear of
other people judging them and their ego being damaged because of
that holds them back from going. It is also the reason many
weightlifters lift heavier weights than they should, they get an
ego boost from these bigger weights and feel good because of it,
even if they are damaging their body when they can't lift them
with the right form.

Consequently this also applies to attracting women, your ego
doesn't like you failing, being rejected or making a fool of
yourself, so you play it safe, you do safe things that nobody
around will see or notice, and you try to blend in with all the
other chodes picking up women. You Never rise above the rest
because your ego tells you public humiliation is bad.

To separate yourself from your ego is a liberating experience,
you can freely do what you like without worrying about
prejudice, about others judging what you do, about girls or guys
thinking bad about you for screwing up. In fact, if you dump
your ego entirely you will see massive gains in every area of
life, for you will no longer be trying to pick up women to prove
to your friends how much of a cool dude you are, but rather
talking to women to give them a fun night out and amuse
yourself, not impress others.

So how do you go about removing this ego? We'll for a start
over the next week keep listening to your thoughts, if you catch
yourself thinking about whether someone else likes you or not
stop! Just cut that thought out and attempt to never think it
again. If you catch yourself comparing yourself to others then
stop! don't ever think like that, and if you ever think of doing
something then think "no maybe x will think I'm stupid", ignore
that thought and do it anyway.

Separating yourself from your ego means separating yourself
from comparisons with others, don't compare how many girls
you've had/muscle size/your salary to other guys, don't care
about what others think of you, and especially don't stop doing
what you want to do because someone else may not like it.

It's hard because we've been brought up a society that values
comparisons, we have charts and graphs showing school
performances, we have IQ tests, we have salaries for various
jobs and comparisons between multiple positions. In fact most of
many people's existences is based around comparing themselves to
others and only feeling good when they are better than other
people. If you ever feel good because you're better at something
than someone else, stop it! Everyone always has someone better
and worse than them, and comparing yourself to others will only
deter you from your real goals.

Set goals for yourself, and don't build them upon what others
have done Every person is unique and has their own take on life.
Do what you want to do, if getting to 60KG from 50KG is your
goal, awesome, that's a great goal, if your goal is to be bigger
than the kid down the road its not so great. Others can still
serve as inspiration of course (I know I want to be as big as
Arnie someday), but don't feel let down if you're not there yet,
just keep going, working on that goal and continue getting
there. Negative emotions from not bulking up or loosing fat fast
enough will only deter you from what you really want and when
you hit a plateau your ego will probably put you off
all-together.

Your ego can keep you going when the going is easy, but that's
all it will do. For when you hit a stale point your ego will
feel the drain from lack of success and cause you to give up
hope, even if you are only 10% away from your goal. When the
going gets tough you need to learn to put your ego aside and be
able to tap into your intelligence, which will help you get over
those speed-bumps in life and be the man you really want to be.

Your ego is based on emotions, not logic, hence why it is so
hard to control. But you will realize over time that it becomes
easier and easier the more you ignore it when it's holding you
back and start using your logic and intelligence instead. The
question is, do you want instant ego satisfying gratification,
or to endure a slight bit of ego pain for huge lifelong
improvements?

Shoppers compare prices and look for discounts before
finalizing any purchase. It is always a matter of getting the
best deal, the best fit, and, of course, the best price.
Software shoppers should take this cue and compare CRM software
systems before anything else. If you are in the market for CRM
software, take a look before making that dive.

Different Business Needs

Software that keeps track of business transactions can make the
job easier. However, you have to compare CRM software systems to
make sure you are getting the right one tailor-fitted to your
needs. If you own a shoe store, you need to keep tabs of the
following: number of shoes sold for different categories and
styles, peak and slow periods, number of staff, bills due and
payables collected, and total amounts due to your business.

CRM software that is applicable to your specifications is
available, but you have to compare CRM software systems before
making a final choice. The software does not come cheap, and
that's enough reason to take that extra precaution. Be reminded
that software that does well for a bookstore or shoe store will
not be suitable for a big processing plant.

Getting Automated

The variety and the bulk of information required will vary from
one business to another. Work done manually and managing sales
process and sales data, can be cut in half with the appropriate
software. Buyers must compare software systems to check if they
are better off with sophisticated or simple application.

To avoid the hassle and post purchase problems, get the
assistance of an e-clearing house to eliminate all the attendant
worries. The e-clearing house can match your needs with the
qualified supplier. All you have to do is fill up a
questionnaire stating your requirements. You can also request
for affordable software considering your medium-sized
enterprise. Your requirements will be matched with suppliers
offering the right CRM software.

The suppliers will submit quotes, and you can make your
informed decision with the help of the e-clearing house equipped
with the experience on different software systems. Coursing your
purchase through an e-clearing house hastens your search for the
CRM software, reducing cost, stress, time, and effort.

You don't have to compare software systems every now and then
when your company needs the technology at the soonest possible
time and within budget. The e-clearing house will take care of
this problem. It will provide information, tips, and advice in
selecting the software for different business categories.

What Do You Expect From A CRM Software?

There are varied CRM software solutions and if budget is no
consequence, you can get an entire package. But if this is not
the case, you have to settle for top priority needs like live
chat options with customers and online customer assistance, or
tracking and updating information on customer spending behavior
to be able to tap opportunities to offer new services/products.

You don't need software that has several programs. This will be
costly and another waste of company funds if not all programs
can be used for the business. Be very specific when you look for
the correct software.

Re-entering all that data to suit the software is expensive and
a waste of time. Compare CRM software systems to find which one
can assure the smooth transition of your current programs to the
software function.

Expect the seller to provide the training for all key users of
the system in your company. You might also want the provider to
give you an in-house consultant until all of you have fully
grasped how the system works. But all of this begins with the
responsibility of making good when you compare CRM software
systems.

Lebanon is extra special because her four grand ladies continue
to bewitch and entrance people from all over the world with
their ancient secrets and their ageless beauty. The five grand
ladies referred to are her eternal cities - Beirut, Tyre,
Byblos, Sidon, and Tripoli. The country may be in turmoil, but
the world continues to hope that these graceful ladies will not
be harmed.

The Capital

Beirut is the geographic and economic hub of the country. It
strongly retains influences from the French. Foch Allenby, the
Central District area is the favorite of crowds. Here you find a
mix of different architecture with walls molded from yellow
stone that echoes the art influenced by bygone eras of the
Ottoman, French, and Italian style.

The young and old shop for trinkets at the Souk al Barghout, a
flea market that draw crowds of thousands – both local shoppers
and curious tourists. Here you can find jewelry, antiques,
handicrafts, and paintings. The flea market is like a wonderful
box that holds colorful and assorted treasures.

In the evening, people take long walks along Foch Allenby's
cobbled streets, ride their bikes, and drink cups of coffee in
quaint cafes. Famous Lebanese wines overflow in the local pubs.
The outdoor restaurants are teeming with diners and people revel
into the night.

In the infamous Rue Minet El Hosn, people promenade in the lazy
afternoons. They take the sights of interesting and fabulous
facades of hotels and old buildings bearing influences of
western and eastern cultures. The Rue Minet El Hosn was the
stomping ground for the civil war that ravaged Beirut in 1975.

Minet El Hosn is swamped with big name hotels like Normandie,
Alcazar, Phoenicia, Holiday Inn, Palm Beach, and St. George. If
you go to Beirut, check out these hotels and get the best
service to be found in this part of the globe.

Where East Meets West

In Tyre, marvel at the white sugar sand beach, sparkling
waters, and the breathtaking sceneries, adding up to any
visitors' enjoyment of Lebanon's beaches. Tourists and locals
alike enjoy scuba diving and fishing. Swimmers love the warm,
pristine waters. Nearby, the woodlands provide a good hunting
ground. Relaxing in this ancient but bustling seaside city gives
you that feeling that you're looking at the same sea famous
biblical characters crossed in their ancient vessels.

Byblos is the oldest inhabited area in Lebanon, dating back
7000 years. Once a mighty province ruled by kings, it is now a
busy metropolis with a flourishing trade. Byblos is an
archeologist's heaven. The old buildings and Egyptian
architecture are still around to fascinate tourists with their
link to a proud and ancient past.

Another must-see place is Sidon. This is the place where Noah
and his family landed after the Great Flood. The romantic ruins
from the Crusader Period are the Castle of Sea constructed by
the Knights of St. John, while the Castle of St. Louis or Land
Castle sits atop the acropolis of what was once a Phoenician
stronghold.

Tripoli in Northern Lebanon draws tourists to its ancient
castles and the Fortress of Saint Gilles. The fortress was built
in 12 BC but was later remodeled by the Mamluks and the
Ottomans. There are 45 registered historical buildings that
history buffs shouldn't miss. Tripoli was also once a
ship-building center and later the hub for learning.

Lebanon still beckons the outside world. Go and experience the
converging cultures of east and west in its famous cities. The
grand ladies of await you.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
If you have a wedding to attend in the near future and need to
prepare a toast to the bride, then you need to know what it
takes to do a good job. Successful toasts seem so easy to do,
but you won't realize what it takes to make a public performance
until you put the toast together.

You'll have to prepare, practice, and overcome nerves to do a
great job. In the end, it's all about being sincere, relaxed and
having fun. A wedding is something to celebrate – and this is
your chance to add to the party.

You might be a friend or you might be a family member – as long
as you're close to the bride, you'll most likely have a lot to
share with others in your toast. A toast might be an
intimidating task if you're not a great writer or speaker, but
preparation will easily allow you to accomplish the job well.

A toast can last anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes. If you
are very close to the bride, then you might want to take a bit
more time to reflect on the past before transitioning to the
future. On the other hand, sometimes the best toasts are short
and sweet.

For a long toast, all you need to do is follow these steps:

1. Choose Your Tone: Before you start writing your toast out,
figure on whether you want the toast to be serious, humorous, or
sentimental. How do you choose which is right? You'll have to
consider your personality as well as what kind of relationship
you have with the bride. If you're a funny person but don't have
a close relationship with the bride then humour might not be
fully understood by guests. If you're going to do an extremely
sentimental toast, then make sure that it is something the bride
and perhaps a few others will understand as a touching speech.

2. Choose Your Topic: Think about your relationship with the
bride and pick something to talk about that is important to you.
When people try to cover too many emotions or events in a toast,
it can cause the minds of guests to drift. By focusing on one
attribute or another, your toast will be easier to understand
and much more effective.

3. Include Stories: If there is a story that works with what
you're saying, then you should include it in your toast. Stories
add a depth that is difficult to match in any other way. By
recalling a favourite story of the bride, it will help others
see how special of a relationship you had with her and show a
side of the woman that others might not have known before.

4. Add Some Memories: Memories in point form can also be an
effective way of building the bond between you and the bride,
shining a light on her personality. When you bring memories up,
keep it short and sweet so that you don't make others feel out
of the loop.

5. Describe Your Hopes for Her: This is a very important part
of the toast. It is here that you'll transition from the past to
the future. By telling the bride your hopes for her future, you
will show that you really care about her well being.

6. List Special Attributes: By listing a few attributes that
make the bride a good wife, you'll make her feel special,
flatter the groom and convey a sense of confidence in her
abilities.

7. Wish the Bride and Groom Good Luck: No toast is complete
without wishing the couple the best of luck for their future.

If you're planning a shorter toast, you might want to focus
more on the future alone. Try not to be too cliché or general.
If you can make your toast specific, it will be much more
meaningful to all. Some topics that work well include love,
happiness, growing up, marriage, and laughter.

When giving your toast, it's important to speak clearly and use
notes if needed. If you want to get your message across
effectively, then be confident about the words that you are
saying. Some people are natural public speakers and others get
nervous – just make sure that you practice your speech often so
that it flows comfortably during your performance without any
nervous pauses (ex. ummm, ahhh, etc).

Things to Avoid:

• Stories about Old Relationships: By telling stories about
past relationships, all you're going to do is make people
uncomfortable or upset. Don't mention old relationships at all.
Focus on the relationship that matters.

• Humiliating Stories: There's a difference between funny
stories and humiliating ones. Always make sure that your story
won't embarrass anybody or draw any unwanted reactions.

• Drinking Too Much: Drinking might loosen you up a bit, but
drinking too much will make you slur your words - and make a
fool of yourself.

• Don't Read The Whole Thing: While you might to look down to
refer to your notes, don't read everything word for word.
Instead, try focusing on the bride to make the message more
personal.

• Don't Panic: If you get lost for words and don't know what to
do, don't panic. Just finish off with a simple and honest
"congratulations." There's nothing wrong with ending simply.

If you're not sure how your toast sounds to others, be open to
getting a friend's opinion and perspective. Read your toast over
with somebody else present or have them read it and offer a
critique. It's always tough to know how your toast might be
received by others; it's good to get a second opinion.

The toast to the bride is a very special moment. Make sure to
keep the bride as the focus of your story and always highlight
her in your toast before congratulating her and wishing her
well. If you are sincere about what you have to say, then it's
impossible to go wrong.

Lastly, make sure that you have fun giving your toast. Your
expressions will always impact the way your speech is received
by others. Good luck!

A convection microwave is a combination of a standard oven, and
a convection oven. It allows food cooked in the convection
microwave to be cooked quickly, yet come out browned or crisped,
as in a convection oven. Convection microwaves were initially
considered to be high-end kitchen appliances. They were
considered to be more expensive than a conventional microwave.
As the time was passing away the convection microwaves has lost
their value that is why they can be bought in the same price as
the conventional microwave around the world, making it easier
for the average family to be able to enjoy a meal that is
nutritious and that can be made some times in just a mater of
minutes.

Almost all the microwave carry the manufacturers guarantee,
this includes a full three parts and labour warrantee and most
of the combination ovens have twelve months full guarantee They
are not considered cost-effective if primarily used just to heat
drinks or frozen food. They are usually used for cooking a
prepared dish. In recent times, certain manufacturers have added
a high power quartz halogen bulb to their convection microwave
models while marketing them. To save the time now days many
people prefer buying this type of cooking appliance, they are
easy to use and very helpful to finish the work faster. Food
cooked in these is healthier than cooked traditionally in home.
. For the people who are health conscious there is great news,
the vitamins & the nutrients of the food cooked in the microwave
are the same they do not reduce. In fact, recent laboratory
studies suggest that vegetables cooked in the microwave actually
retain more nutritious vitamins and minerals. When you boil the
food and make the contents of nutrients in them are not left
over, whereas the food prepared in this type of the microwave
has all the nutrients intact.

Owning the basic cooking appliances have become a necessity and
not considered a luxury any more. If you are in the process of
trying to decide where to purchase this appliance, you likely
are trying to figure out where you can obtain these products for
the most reasonable price, well, I have good news, you are at
the right place, the one stop for all your needs; less than one
roof is the Canada appliances, the best brand under this is
Maytag. Gone are the days when the person has to spend a lot of
time in cooking food. This not only saves time but also keeps
the food tasty. They are also available at a affordable rate.
They have become the basic need and within the budget of one and
all. Now a day's cooking appliances are considered to be a long
time investment, so they have to be durable for the long run.
Once you start shopping from this site, I assure u will not be
disappointed; your choice of appliance will be the best and

Fishing for Neuroticism
It seems like every time I turn around there's another cool
study on omega-3s, this time linking neurotic behavior to
low levels of omega-3s in the blood. Researchers looked at
measures of anxiety, angry hostility, depression,
self-consciousness, impulsivity and vulnerability.

Amazingly, all but 'vulnerability' correlated with omega-3
and omega-6 concentrations in the blood. Folks that had
more of a specific omega-3, called EPA, had better scores
(less neurotic) and those with higher levels of an omega-6,
called AA, had worse scores (more neurotic). The studies,
published by Conklin et al. in Psychosomatic Medicine, are
the first to link the omega fats to neuroticism in
otherwise healthy adults.

It's all in the Balancing Act.

I have written several articles in the past talking about
the importance of maintaining a good omega-3 to omega-6
balance in your diet. In light of the new data associating
both types of omegas with neuroticism, in opposite
directions, a few more details seem pertinent.

First off, you can't really label omega-3s as 'good' and
omega-6s as 'bad'. We need them both, but we need them in
balance. Nutritionists believe that the perfect balance
lies somewhere between 1:1 and 1:5 of 3s to 6s, and this is
probably what we ate throughout most of history, up to
about 100 years ago.

Today, the average western diet is about 1:20 in favor of
omega-6s. This has created an imbalance and a need for more
3s and less 6s, which has earned the 6s a reputation as
'bad'. But like I said, you need them both.

For one example, omega-6s help turn the immune system on.
Without them, you can't mount much of a defense against
bacterial invaders. But, too much of them and the immune
system may get out of control and lead to excessive
inflammation. Unfortunately, this seems to be exactly what
is happening in many westerners and may underlie a lot of
things, like heart disease, some cancers and even
Alzheimer's dementia.

On the flip side of that, if you over-do the omega-3s and
cut out all the 6s (tough to do in the western diet) then
your blood may get too thin, unable to coagulate and lead
to bleeding disorders.

So like I said....balance is key. Since omega-6s are found
in high amounts in corn oil and many other common vegetable
oils, we get plenty of those. Omega-3s on the other hand
are found mostly in fish and fish oil supplements, as well
as a few uncommon oils, like flaxseed. So, it's still wise
to try to increase your omega-3s and reduce your 6s because
of the foods we typically eat. Personally, I take a fish
oil supplement and plan to continue that.

The Long and Short of It.

One other point needs addressing regarding omega-3s. You
see them everywhere: on cereal boxes, crackers, and all
kinds of processed foods. But, this isn't really what you
want. Omega-3s come in different forms, from short to long.

The short forms are what you get out of flaxseed and other
vegetable oils that have good amounts of omega-3s (some of
these are also high in 6s, which the products don't
advertise). However, it's the long forms that are required
for brain health and that seem to be protective against
depression and neuroticism in recent studies.

Some animals can eat the short forms and convert them to
long forms, but humans aren't very good at that. Cows and
chickens, on the other hand, do okay, which is another
health reason for eating free-range beef and poultry. Their
meats are higher in omega-3s. If the cows and chickens eat
grain feed (mostly corn) they load up on omega-6s. If they
eat grasses they load up on omega-3s.

Still, the best source of long chain omega-3s are fish or
fish oil supplements. Fish are great at converting short
chain to long chain AND they eat a lot of long chain
omega-3s as well. The other alternative is to eat the stuff
that fish eat, like marine algae or insects, but I think
I'll stick to the fish source.

Ready, Set, Think
Studies are piling up showing how exercising your body
boosts the fitness of you brain as well. Exercise has
documented benefits for learning and memory, executive
decision making function, mood regulation, and even
protection against brain injury from an accident.

The latest piece comes from Dr. Ronald Duman's group at
Yale, just published in Nature Medicine. Using a high tech
screening approach, researchers looked at how certain genes
change their activity levels in the brain after exercise.

Working out Your Brain

Specifically, they looked at a part of the brain called the
hippocampus, which has known roles in learning and memory,
the regulation of stress, and is one of the brain regions
targeted by anti-depressants.

In the study, researchers gave mice either free access to
exercise wheels in their cages or not. The study revealed
that several genes increase their activity in the
hippocampus following a week of voluntary exercise.

One gene that dramatically increased its activity was VGF,
or vascular growth factor. This gene was originally named
for its role in inducing new blood vessel growth but we now
know that it has other roles as well. It's not known if
increased blood supply to parts of the brain are involved
in the exercise benefit, but I suspect that it probably is.

Beyond its potential blood flow benefits, VGF is
interesting because it belongs to a larger family of growth
factors that we already suspected to play roles in
depression. Growth factors are involved in the growth and
maintenance of all kinds of things, including neurons and
blood vessels.

Depressed Mice?

Believe it or not, using carefully designed studies,
researchers can actually evaluate depression-like behaviors
in mice. When the authors of the new study looked at these
behaviors, they found that the exercised mice showed fewer
depressive behaviors than their non-exercised controls.

This shows that exercise helps alleviate depression
behavior (which we already knew) but does not show that it
was due to the increases in VGF activity. However, further
studies by the group showed that injecting VGF into the
animals had the same anti-depressive affects as exercise.
Furthermore, when they looked at other mice that have
naturally low VGF activity, they found that these mice had
increased depressive-like behaviors.

This provides strong evidence that VGF plays a role in
mediating the anti-depressive affect of exercise.

I'm sure that pharmaceutical companies are now looking at
VGF related compounds for new anti-depressants. But the
point of this article is not to suggest that you can get
all the benefits of exercise by injecting VGF (It's not
available anyway, yet).

The point is that exercise is incredibly beneficial to your
brain and body. VGF is just one example of many protective
systems turned on by exercise.

Just Move

In our part of the world, we're moving into the winter,
making it more difficult to get outside and run around. But
there are still many things that you can do to keep your
brain and body fit through the cold months.

You could: join a gym, get exercise equipment into your
house (and use it), buy an exercise tape or DVD, join a
recreational volleyball or basketball program or other
sport you enjoy; take a local fitness class or just brave
the weather and go for a brisk walk.

Making exercise a habit will help you keep your brain
healthy throughout life. Many people today don't get much
exercise once they reach middle age. This may have been
fine 100 years ago when the average life expectancy was
about 55. Today, many of us will likely live past 80 or 90
years old. How many years do you have left? How many of
those years to you want to have a healthy brain?

Now days to save time microwave ovens are used in both
industrial areas like restaurants and at home. It is not only
used for cooking purpose but serves with many more facilities.
Some people now a days prefer fast cooking times, then they can
prefer using a microwave applications such as oven, as it cooks
the food in few minutes. This can also be used to pre-cook the
frozen dishes and to reheat the stored food. One example which
is very popular with microwave ovens is the popcorn. This makes
the cooking very easy & fast, which saves a lot of time. But one
has to keep in mind certain things when you go to buy a
microwave oven, such as its capacity, watts & its reliability.
With the help of microwave the food is cooked fast, energy is
used efficiently. Arguably the food is healthier than the food
cooked in traditional means of cooking.

One of the most frequently debated topics about microwaves and
health is whether cooking food in a microwave destroys all the
nutrients and vitamins which are there in the food we eat or
leaves them intact. For the people who are health conscious
there is great news, the vitamins & the nutrients of the food
cooked in the microwave are the same they do not reduce. In
fact, recent laboratory studies suggest that vegetables cooked
in the microwave actually retain more nutritious vitamins and
minerals than vegetables cooked in other, more traditional ways.
Food cooked in the microwave heats very quickly. Microwave comes
under kitchen appliances, these appliances make our life easy to
live. The speed with which a microwave oven cooks can help food
relating to diet more fully intact than other methods, like
boiling, that provide lower levels of heat for longer periods of
time, during which the nutritional content is more likely to
break down. Today, the magic of microwave cooking has radiated
around the globe, becoming an international phenomenon.

Owning the basic home appliances have become a necessity and
not considered a luxury any more. If you are in the process of
trying to decide where to purchase a home appliance, you likely

================== ARTICLE START ==================
One of the best known kitchen appliances is the dishwasher;
this is designed to clean utensils and dishes. They are found in
restaurants and kitchens of much private residence. Basically
these dishwashers act like a robot, which cleans and removes all
the dirt. The inside of a dishwasher is called the tub, which can
be found in two variants, plastic or stainless steel. Stainless
steel tubs are more preferred than their plastic counterparts as
they have the capacity to maintain heat thereby drying the
dishes faster. Another good feature is that it has an in built
removal unit. This feature is very essential in any dishwasher
as it enables to remove the chunks of food from our dishes and
from the wash water; more or like having your very own garbage
can inside to catch all the dirt. Many new models today boast of
sensor-assisted cycles. This is a great advantage as this
feature enables you to adjust the washing process according to
the number of dishes you put in the wash.

In traditional homes, we can imagine the usual house wife
toiling over the sink and freeloading down dishes, knives,
spoons, forks, cups and saucers keeping cleanliness and hygiene
in check after a good day's meal. But a different story is seen
in our modern time, as most of our moms & wives have opted to
become business minded and are now busy working hard to not only
provide support for the family but also to make their own career
path for themselves. This is an advantage for most especially
with increasing prices on product costs and luxuries. Kitchen
duty may seem like a pull and sometimes the moms, who feel
tired, wish that there should be someone who can save them from
cleaning the dishes.

One should consider certain things in mind when you are
planning to buy a dish washer, that is the quality and the
attributes of the kitchen appliance that best suit to his or her
needs. First up on the list is the capacity. It is important
that you check the sizes and shapes of your dishes as these may
not fit into your purchased unit. The size of the dishwasher is
also very important to be kept in mind as it connects to your
kitchen. This can create a lot of inconvenience, as you take it
in or out of the cabinet. So its must for any working or a non
working lady to make their life easy and use the best things in
life. If you are planning to buy a dishwasher then online
purchase is the best way to purchase, as this provides to you
with reasonable price and you can also select from the wide
range of choices given. One such site is Toronto appliances
which has various brands under which u have loads of variety.
One of the popular brands is Maytag, where all your desires of a
dishwasher will be fulfilled. They have different models with
different sizes to suit everyone's needs. With the conventional
shopping experience you have to have time which is of essence in
the busy life that we humans have. With an online purchase one
can have a close view on the prices and can make the perfect
choice of his own

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Choosing a Caribbean Island Vacation is difficult because to
the outsider the Caribbean is just the Caribbean, with each
island being much like the other. The insider will however tell
you that each island has its own identity, none more so than
Antigua.

The island of Antigua is always associated with Barbuda, but
this article isn't about Antigua and Barbuda, but about what it
is that should make you want to choose Antigua for your
Caribbean Island Vacation.

Antigua is the largest of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern
Caribbean, north of Montserrat and Guadeloupe, and to the south
and east of Nevis, St Kitts, St Barts, and St Martin. It is some
fourteen miles long and eleven miles wide, totalling 108 square
miles. This means with its 365 beaches, one for every day of the
year, there is plenty Antigua to explore, and furthermore there
is lots to see thanks to the close links with Britain and the
British Navy in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth
century.

Visitors who have chosen Antigua for their Caribbean Island
Vacation, also inevitably visit English Harbour which is
Antigua's evocative historical district, around Nelson's
Dockyard National Park. The whole harbour area was the
headquarters of the fleet in Nelson's time. There are historical
buildings and fortifications to be seen around the park.

Antigua's beaches are of course a huge reason for taking a
Caribbean Island Vacation here. The majority of the beaches are
on the west coast , which is the more sheltered calm and
protected part.

All of the beaches are open to the public and each has
different characteristics, so the main difficulty you will have
is finding the perfect Antigua beach for you. One piece of
advice is to never go to isolated beaches on your own, and
another is to make sure you get good directions before you go.

On the northwest coast you will find Dickenson Bay and Runaway
Bay, both highly developed and great resort beaches. Closest to
St Johns are Fort James, and Deep Bay. In the winter surfers go
to Galley Bay and the four beaches at Hawksbill are impressive,
just beware that one is a nudist beach.

On the southwest and south coast of Antigua are where you will
find the less visited and developed beaches because the area is
quite hilly. A road winds along the coast here and you will find
beaches like Fryes Bay, Darkwood Beach, and the beaches around
Johnsons Point.

Rendezvous Bay, and Doigs Beach are especially very quiet
beaches but not easy to get to. If you are looking for an
Antigua Beach to relax on after visiting English Harbour then
try Pigeon Point.

On the east coast, the south east corner is Half Moon Bay, is a
national park, and if you want a family beach, then this and
Long Bay which is as far to the east as you can go are both
outstanding. The beaches facing east are quite rough but great
for beachcombing.

Whether it is history and sightseeing or beaches, Antigua has
something for everyone as a Caribbean Island Vacation

Car insurance seems to keep on going up and up in price, and it
seems like it is two or three times a year that you get a letter
from the insurance agency that says something like: "starting on
the first day of your next billing cycle, your car insurance
premium is going to increase by 15%." You've probably not gotten
a letter from them thanking you for not getting into an accident
in seven years and not getting a speeding ticket since you were
19. In fact, they've probably never lowered your car insurance
premiums.

Car insurance doesn't always have to go up, in fact, there are
still ways to get a cheap car insurance that is going to make
you feel safe when you are on the road. The first step to
getting a new agent is to go out there and get several car
insurance quotes. These quotes should be based on the same
amount of insurance that you currently have, so that you will be
able to compare the prices. While you are at it, ask your
current car insurance company to give you some current quotes as
well, because you may find out that their prices have gone down
for new customers, and you are just paying too much.

After you have collected all of your car insurance quotes, you
are on your way to finding cheap car insurance. The next step is
to go back to your current car insurance company and show them
the rates that you have collected. If they know anything about
loyalty, they will want to keep such a good driver as their
customer. A lot of agents are going to match the prices of the
cheap car insurance company and are going to give you the same
price (or a lower one). If they don't, you have the choice to
either stay or go.

A lot of times, you can get your car insurance adjusted just by
letting time pass. If you haven't been in an accident in a
while, or have a clean driving record with no points on your
license and no unpaid parking tickets, you should be able to
bargain and get a better deal. Also, if you have an older car
that is worth less money, you may want to consider adjusting
your insurance amounts, so that you aren't paying to insure a
brand new car anymore.

Getting cheap car insurance is going to take a couple hours of
your time, but in the long run it is going to be worth it. Just
think, if it takes you one hour to get each of the 10 car
insurance quotes that you get, and you normally make $8 an hour,
it cost you around $80 to get those quotes. If you save $25 a
month on your new car insurance, by the end of the third month
you have nearly paid off all of that money, and by the end of
the forth month, you have already saved $20. With car insurance,
a little hard work will pay off, especially if you are a good
driver who is looking for a deal.

When it comes to outdoor activities, one of the most important
things that you must pack along with your food and clothes are
your Bushnell binoculars. These binoculars are the greatest
companions when it comes to outdoor activities. You can use it
for hunting, birding, and more. Choose from the wide variety of
binoculars available that would certainly suit your outdoor
needs. The perfect combination of high-quality performance as
well as stylish façade, are just some of the many reasons why
this particular line of binocular is so popular in nature and
outdoor lovers all over the world.

Before these Bushnell binoculars are created, the company is
considering a lot of factors that would affect the performance
and the image of the product. The prime reason why these
binoculars are the best-selling binoculars in the whole world is
because of the superior optics that it has. No other binocular
in the market can be compared to the resolution, brightness, and
the clarity that these Bushnell binoculars can give. Moreover,
even if there are other companies trying to imitate the
excellent quality of these world-class binoculars, they can
never outshine it since it has at least ninety percent light
transmission which can be seen by users through the whole
optical system of the binocular.

These Bushnell binoculars are definitely second to none. Aside
from the superb performance, many people also love using this
and bringing it along anywhere because of its flawless
appearance. The weight and the shape are tailored to perfection
as well. Thanks to the chassis which is said to be made out of
ultra-light magnesium. Although most binocular units only comes
either in black or silver, women who love outdoor sports will
also find class and sophistication while using these outstanding
binoculars. Moreover, the casing of these binoculars from
Bushnell is protected by a special coating. This special coating
is specially made only for their products. Not only is it
waterproof, but it's also fogproof and dustproof at the same
time.

If you are worrying about the scratches that any object could
bring to the lens or to the casing of the binocular, you can
store it on a case which is custom-molded to perfectly fit the
shape of your binocular model. Store your binocular in this case
when not in use to prevent damages caused by other objects in
your bag such as pens, clips, hard plastics, and more. Of
course, there is also a strap attached, that you can connect
anytime, so that you may be able to easily get hold of your
binocular after taking a break from hiking or trail-walking.

Aside from these mentioned features, another great thing about
these binoculars is that it was not left behind by the
fast-paced technology. Although the first models and ideas were
made more than fifty years ago, Bushnell binoculars were
innovated so that it could catch-up with the rapidly improving
technology. There are also some binoculars that can take still
pictures that can store many files, depending on the size of the
memory card.
