How To Fold 30000 Sheets Of Paper In Just 60 Minutes
Does your business regularly send out bulk mail? If you
distribute bulk mail to existing and potential customers on
a frequent basis, in however small a quantity, a folding
machine will prove to be a highly cost-effective bonus to
your business.

Since the Royal Mail introduced Pricing in Proportion in
August 2006, the cost of sending mail has been calculated
by size and shape, as well as weight. This has since
resulted in businesses working to find cost-effective ways
to send bulk mail, which is where a folding machine comes
into its own.

Folding machines are available across the price spectrum
and with a wide range of specifications and capabilities.
However much mail your business sends out, you will find
that sourcing the right folding machine for your needs will
be saving you money within months.

The cost of your folding machine will soon be outweighed by
savings in a two-fold area ' saving both staff time spent
folding letters, while also folding your post to the
smallest and cheapest size according to Royal Mail's
Pricing in Proportion policy. A folding machine that meets
your requirements will be paying for itself within a short
time and is surely an inevitable choice for any company
sending out bulk mail.

Folding machines are available across the price spectrum
and range in size from small desktop models to large-scale,
high-volume folding machines, which do require more space
but are also very well-designed and still surprisingly
compact for the job that they do.

Starter machines are perfect for a small business sending
out occasional bulk mail in restricted quantities. They are
usually streamlined, with a modern design which means they
are an unobtrusive desk-top addition to the workplace and
are highly affordable, costing little more than a small
desk-top printer. They can take a paper-size of up to A4,
usually have non-skid feet fitted and some folding machines
are capable of folding up to 30 letters a minute or 1,800
sheets per hour.

Bigger and more substantial folding machines are usually
equivalent in size to a large desktop printer and are
easily accommodated in the main area of any office. Taking
paper up to A4 in size, these machines are capable of
folding up to 155 sheets per minute and can execute a
number of different folding techniques.

Jumping up the specification range the more robust pieces
of folding equipment for the medium-sized company in the
business of regularly sending out bulk mail can take a
paper size up to and including A3 and usually have a
feed-table that can be loaded with up to 500 sheets at any
one time. These machines folds paper at a maximum rate of
9,000 sheets per hour, and can be easily cleaned.

For those companies in the business of sending out very
large quantities of bulk mail, then you require a highly
user-friendly machine which has a modular design, and so
can be built with some of your specific requirements in
mind. Some folding machines can process a staggering 30,000
sheets per hour and no business involved in bulk mailing
can afford to be without this serious piece of equipment.

As a small business owner with only two employees, you might
think it's out of your league to take customer relationship
management software seriously. You hold on to your customers'
telephone list because it's the only way you can get in touch
with them to announce discounted sales or the arrival of new
stocks. How about re-defining CRM for small business?

Defining CRM as More Than Customer Tracking

Small business owners understand the value of taking care of
their customers. They greet them warmly when they saunter up the
counter, and they immediately announce that there are new items,
perhaps they'd like to look at it? The shelf is pointed out and
the customers thank them for the tip and quickly amble down the
aisle to view the colorful array of imported goods.

This is simple CRM at work and customers find this endearing.
But does one define CRM for small business as an outdated public
relations strategy? No. Small businesses do no underrate such
practices. Instead, they bring this art to higher level - they
are now tracking their customers' buying cycles and follow up on
promising leads. How and when to do the latter, a CRM software
can help the business decide.

But small businesses may not be able to afford the cost of CRM
software. Managing the software applications annually quadruples
the cost of the purchase. However, small or medium-sized
business can always have better options to cater to their needs.
In defining CRM their way, they have to plan the purchase around
their budget and their requirements.

Small businesses realize that a telephone list is not enough
anymore if they want to augment data, track complaints, monitor
payments made to suppliers, and follow up leads. These
requirements will help them decide on the CRM software perfect
for their business. In sum, the information will help businesses
keep track of their performance in all levels that contribute to
defining CRM policies and practices to their advantage.

CRM - More than Strategies

CRM problems can be resolved with CRM software solutions. The
strategy of tracking customer spending habits is hooked up to
their credit card providers to get the information. Updated
tracking will provide the data businesses will need to
strategize and to capitalize on consumer spending and increase
employees' productivity.

Another solution provided is the tool which allows online
collaboration to discuss performance targets, to-do lists, and
share files and messages. This is the neatest way to beat
time-consuming start-ups and plugging.

CRM is no longer the passive long telephone list. The broad
spectrum approach makes management of data easier and faster to
keep customer focus well within sight. Defining CRM strategies
run the gamut from identifying and defining what makes CRM tick.

In looking for the effective strategy, businesses need the
information to base their analysis and forecasting without going
off the tracks of their policy and agenda and without
sacrificing that interpersonal approach. Customers are still
people and not statistics, after all.

Defining CRM strategy as a means of knowing what information
you want and how you want to use this. Do you want to share this
information with key people and business associates?

The strategy should also be decided on your budget. As a small
business owner, you can choose several options for your CRM
software that will define CRM strategies for your company. A
small business like yours need not shy away from the latest CRM
information technology.

Training a dog can be enjoyable and rewarding. Whether
conducted in a private setting or a classroom setting, it
requires consistency, direction and firmness. In general, dogs
are eager to please, but teaching them new skills takes time and
energy.

It's not necessary to have formal training to teach a dog
behavioral skills. It is necessary, however, to be consistent,
firm and loving, while making it fun. When dogs know what to
expect from their masters, they're much more likely to comply.
Here are a few tips to make your training experience a rewarding
one for both you and your pet.

First of all, it's important to begin training as soon as you
bring a dog into your home. Whether you have a puppy or an older
dog, it's important that it knows who's in charge. As dogs are
pack animals, they need to know their role in the hierarchy of
the home. Once the dog can identify its master as the leader, it
will be much easier to teach it necessary commands. Some dogs
may always test their boundaries, but knowing they have a set
role in the family gives them a measure of comfort.

Secondly, make it fun for the dog. Speaking in a soothing,
encouraging voice, and lavishing praise on your pet when it
follows direction helps reinforce the lesson learned. If a dog
thinks sitting, staying or fetching is fun, it will be more
likely to perform on command. When training a dog, it can be
frustrating in the beginning if the dog doesn't follow
direction. If this happens, stop the training session. Dogs can
sense stressful situations, and react accordingly. Lessons
should be enjoyable for a dog. Practicing positive reinforcement
goes much further than teaching a dog to fear its master. If it
thinks it's playing a game, it's more interested in
participating.

Next, be consistent. If you're teaching a dog the "sit"
command, and it's rewarded whether it sits or not, it won't
learn the lesson. Follow through is critical during training. A
dog must be able to identify consequences for its actions. If it
carries out the command, it's praised. If it doesn't do what's
been asked, it isn't. Sending mixed messages to the dog will
make training that much more difficult.

Use the same hand signals and/or simple verbal commands for
each lesson. If you're teaching your dog to stay off the sofa,
repeating the same word, such as "off," each time is much more
effective than using different words, like "down" and "go,"
interchangeably. The dog needs simple, clear, consistent
direction to best understand and carry out its duties.

Also, every member of the family must commit to taking part in
training the dog. If one parent enforces the rules, and someone
else in the home doesn't, the dog will quickly figure out that
it can get away with misbehaving, and all the work the trainer
did can unravel.

Dogs can get bored with lengthy training sessions. Positive
gains can be seen in just a few minutes per session. Focusing on
one trick for too long can cause the dog to tune out entirely,
while shorter sessions spread throughout the week can be
effective and enforce lessons. As your dog learns tricks, add
new ones. This way, their confidence grows when they can respond
to commands they're familiar with, but they can look forward to
learning something new. They enjoy pleasing their masters, and
can withdraw if they sense that they're not doing so.

Formal obedience training is also an option, for owners who
would like to reinforce lessons they're teaching at home.
Professional trainers have experience with a wide variety of
different breeds and temperaments, and adjust their teaching
methods accordingly. Also, group training is a great time to
work on socializing your dog, or teaching it to be more
comfortable around and tolerant of other dogs.

A common reason dogs are dropped off at shelters is because
they're not trained. Generally, it's a simple matter of spending
enough time with the dog, and consistently enforcing rules. Not
only is it rewarding for the dog, it's rewarding for the master
as well. When a dog performs a newly-learned command for the
first time, it's cause for celebration. Not only is a
well-behaved dog a joy to be around, but training a dog can
create an unbreakable bond between dog and master.

Saving more money on your business's electricity is possible by
switching to an alternative electricity supplier and avoiding
high renewal prices whilst improving your energy efficiency.

The laws of supply and demand in traditional economics would
generally dictate that a steep rise in price of a product or
commodity would lead to a reduction in demand. However, when
that commodity is a necessity and is not easily substitutable,
the drop in demand will be much less marked and in certain cases
demand may remain stable.

Such is the case in the retail electricity supply market to
SMEs where prices have risen by around 50% over the last two
years. A major contributing factor is the increased need for
companies to become energy efficient. Due to the Climate Change
Levy, there has been an imposed 15% increase in average energy
bills. Electricity rates are levied before VAT at a standard
rate based on usage. Many businesses simply accept the price
rise as a fact of life soldiering on with yet another burden to
add to the increases in rates, rents and insurance, the bulk of
which are non-recoverable from price increases indexed to
inflation.

But there is another way to recoup some of these crippling
losses.

Shopping around for a cheaper electricity supplier will
typically save a business around 20% from their existing
supplier. As an added value, these companies can show businesses
the best ways to conserve energy by avoiding wastage – this
alone can help reduce the annual bill by as much as 15%.
Suddenly, the maths begin to stack-up.

For example, a business that was paying an annual rate of £1000
for its electricity two years ago is now paying £1500. By
switching to a cheaper supplier, the price can be reduced to
£1200. By becoming more energy efficient and using 15% less
electricity that now changes to £1020. Had the original
electricity price simply risen by the inflation rate of 3% then
the price now would have been just over £1060 which means that
the business is actually paying less in real terms than it was
two years ago.

So instead of paying 50% more for its annual electricity bill,
a business may indeed be paying less, whilst helping the
environment in reducing its carbon footprint; as well as adding
a social `green image'.

Furthermore, if most of its competitors are being hit by these
unprecedented rises then that business will have a significant
competitive advantage and may indeed improve its revenue,
turning a negative situation into a very positive one for all
concerned.

During the period of lower priced energy, energy was fairly low
in the rankings amongst the list of main business costs.
However, the latest government figures suggest that energy now
accounts for nearly 10% of the average small firm's annual
overheads. In times such as now, when many businesses need to
button down the hatch, cost control becomes the main focus and
opportunities to save such significant amounts must be seized.

And there appears to be plenty of scope for these savings since
government reports estimate that £12 billion of energy is wasted
in the UK every year.

Graham Paul, E4B's Sales and Marketing Director encourages
businesses to `Save, save, save.' `Save on the tariff by
switching supplier, save by energy efficiency and save the
environment'.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Both these companies make great products, but they do so
utilizing completely different technologies. So which is best,
and further more which is the better choice when considering
purchasing a dive watch.

On the one hand, Seiko kinetic dive watches utilize motion, or
kinetic energy derived from movement, while the Citizen
Eco-Drive watch incorporates solar panels to capture energy from
various light sources. On the surface, the most observable
difference is that the latter relies on fewer moving parts.

Of course, fewer parts is always better in terms of long-term
reliability, however in the case of a watch it's likely more of
a moot point since analog watches are already composed of more
parts than one could count, so what real difference will a few
more make.

First, some history on how both these power systems function
will be useful before drilling down to deciding which is best.
Obviously, this discussion has nothing to do with watches
requiring daily winding either. Leave that to the over-priced
Rolex still lost in the last century.

Seiko pioneered the self-winding watch back in 1980. They came
up with a way to translate the motion of the wearers arm
movements into the mechanical energy necessary to wind the
watches mainspring. The fancy word kinetic simply means
motion-generated mechanical energy.

They do this by having arm motion swing an odd-shaped rotor,
weighted heavily on one side, around a winding mechanism that,
with the use of special reversed gearing, will only move in one
direction. The result is a winding of the mainspring over time.

This in itself will keep the watch wound as long as it's worn
and thus receiving kinetic energy input. But if left off the arm
for a day or two, it will stop. This is especially important
since the focus here is on dive watches, which might not be worn
as a regular everyday watch.

To resolve this problem, Seiko added a battery as a place to
store the excess kinetic energy. Assuming the battery is fully
charged, the watch can now be left lying still for months or
even years and still not require winding.

Instead of kinetic energy, Citizen developed a way to utilize
light as a power source. And it doesn't even need to be sunlight
– any light source will do fine.

To accomplish this, Citizen places tiny solar cells on the
faces of their Eco-Drive watches. These cells are what transform
light into electrical energy. This energy is then collected and
stored in energy cells, sort of like a battery, that will then
supply power for extended periods, even without light.

Again, since the underlying subject is really about dive
watches, this is especially useful for someone who only uses the
watch for diving, as opposed to wearing it everyday. By storing
up energy for later use, these watches can be left idle for
extended periods, and still show the correct time upon their
next use.

In fact, a lot of the newest models, both solar and kinetic,
have something called hibernation mode, where after sensing no
movement for an extended period, the hands and dial functions
stop moving to save energy. However, the quartz movement will
keep on calculating the correct time, so once the watch is moved
again, the sensors activate and reset with current data.

Battery technology has come quite far along too, so were now
close to the point where this storage cell or battery, could
last beyond the lifetime of the wearer. That means the battery
would never need replacing, making these watches super friendly
to the environment.

So which one is best? Well, if the watch is worn with any
amount of regularity, it appears to be a toss up, and either
energy source will work fine. You can also see that either type
watch can be left idle for long periods of time ranging from
months to years, and continue to keep correct time.

I suppose if one left the Citizen Eco-Drive watch in a drawer
long enough, it would eventually stop from lack of light, but
then again, so would a Seiko kinetic watch from lack of wrist
movement.

At the end of the day, it's somewhat unlikely one will purchase
any watch just to leave it lying around for years, so the answer
has to be that both energy generation techniques will work well,
and it becomes a matter of personal preference.

Finding the best lodges to stay in when you are on a Kenya
Tanzania Safari is obviously a priority and fortunately very
close to the border between the two countries is Shompole Lodge.

It sits on the Nguruman Escarpment overlooking the vast plains
and volcanic hills of the Great Rift Valley in Kenya. In fact it
is also very close to the soda Lakes Natron and Nagadi, and lies
in the arid no man's land between Kenya and Tanzania in a
private conservancy in over thirty thousand acres, overlooking
riverine forest and sun baked plains.

If eco tourism is something that matters to you, then the
partnership between the owners of Shompole and the local Maasai
people is beginning to show results in the goal of creating self
sustaining tourism, and the animals are beginning to return in
some numbers..

There are eight tented cottages, consisting of four doubles,
two twins, and two suites with water being a feature. It flows
from a natural spring through each room and then ends in private
plunge pools which can be relaxed in, so you can just be
mesmerised by the breathtaking views laid out below you. In
addition the flowing water acts as a source of cooling.

The rooms themselves have been made of naturally occurring
white quartz stone, with pale thatch, Hessian, and fig wood, all
the open tented rooms are huge and cooled by the breezes.
Naturally they have ensuite facilities, with hot showers on
demand and private sun terraces.

The views from everywhere at Shompole are stunning none more so
than from the absolutely sensational infinity pool looking out
over Shompole mountain.

Shompole is an extraordinary place to spend a part of your
Kenya Tanzania Safari, where you can just relax by the pool
gazing in wonderment at your surroundings, as you sip a cool
drink and read a book.

However you have come to Shombole to see Game, to walk in the
Great Rift Valley, and there is ample opportunity for you to do
this. There are walks, game drives, river trips on the Ewaso
Nyiro River and sundowner visits to lake Natron to see the young
flamingos, and you could even witness a leopard as the sun goes
down.

The Game Drives are in open 4x4 Toyota Landcruisers.

At Shompole you will be on full board which includes all meals
laundry, safaris, airstrip transfers, and all drinks except
champagne. The airstrip at Shompole is half an hours flying time
from Nairobi, and the same time from the Mara, but if you want
to drive it will take you over three hours from Nairobi.

Shompole Lodge is a real wilderness retreat, where you will
enjoy great food, great views, a great atmosphere, and possibly
have the most fantastic Kenya Tanzania Safari you could possibly
ever have. It would be a great place to spend your honeymoon,
especially as under normal circumstances there will be no
children under the age of twelve.

So don't book your safari holiday in Kenya without closer
examination of this particular Kenya Safari Lodge.

Multifunctional Machines
Are you looking for a desktop machine that can meet all
your printing, photocopying, scanning and faxing needs in
one? Then, a multifunctional desktop machine could provide
the perfect solution.

Most multifunctional machines are designed to sit on a
desktop and are capable of performing several different
functions, all of which any small-to-medium sized business,
or home user, would make use of very regularly.

There are a range of well-priced multifunctional machines
on the market presently that are well-designed and compact,
making for a great space-saving opportunity. Whether you
are a home or business user, you will definitely be able to
find something to suit your requirements and budget by
researching and purchasing a multifunctional machine
through a quality supplier.

Brands of multifunctional machines available include Canon,
Samsung, Sharp, Brother and Panasonic. Most multifunctional
machines available use laser technology. Laser machines are
the ideal option for a business or office where the machine
will be in heavy use and only mono-print is generally
required. Laser makes for the best choice, as it offers
fast print speeds, high quality and a low cost per page.

The lowest priced multifunctional machine available are
fast and simple to use and have printing, scanning and
photocopying functionality. They can have print speeds of
around 20 pages per minute, with a first print speed of
around the 11 second mark. Most of these machines in this
price range weigh about 10 to 12 kilograms and usually have
the option to connect to a network.

Moving a couple hundred pounds up the price range, certain
multifunctional machines have innovative designs and will
particularly suit very busy, small companies whose business
activity is on the rise. Most will sit beautifully on your
desktop and offer printing, copying and faxing, with the
bonus of a colour scanner. They can easily produce
double-sided documents and files can be converted into a
variety of formats and routed to a variety of locations,
including email addresses, ftp sites, desktop folders and
databases. Most have network capability which is easy to
use and install.

The highest level of multifunction machines available have
added features like a three-way paper feeding facility and
can print up to 16 A4 colour pages and 9 A3 colour pages
per minute. They also can have an SOPM (Scan Once Print
Many) function to aid productivity and a capacity of
600-sheets in a full paper tray.

By investing in a multifunctional machine you get an
all-in-one option that not only saves you money but also
space thanks to their small compact designs.

If you look in a newspaper, you will probably see that every
day there is a different article about health insurance. It
doesn't matter what country you come from, whether your country
offers universal health coverage or you have to buy your own
individual health insurance, health insurance and health care
are really hot topics.

If you are wondering whether or not there is a health insurance
policy for you and your family, take note, because finding
affordable health insurance is difficult to do, but definitely
possible. If you are looking for individual health insurance for
yourself, one of the best places to look is, of course, at your
place of employment. Even if you aren't working full time,
chances are your employer will be able to offer affordable
health insurance at a discount to its workers. They are able to
offer this health insurance because they can get a discount for
having lots of participants.

Another place you should look for health insurance is from your
government. Even if your country doesn't offer universal health
coverage, there are still a lot of programs that can give health
insurance to people who need it. If you are trying to cover a
child or an elderly family member, there is probably some sort
of government agency that can help you out or at least point you
in the right direction to getting the care that you need.

If you do have the financial means to buy a health insurance
policy yourself, it is easy to find individual health insurance
from a lot of private companies. Individual health insurance
doesn't have to be expensive, especially if you just buy a
policy to cover major procedures and emergency services. If you
are someone who doesn't visit the doctor very often, getting a
health insurance that covers regular doctor's visits might not
be right for you. You can end up paying hundreds of dollars more
per month for this type of policy than if you just signed up for
one that covered only emergencies and major medical care.

The best way to find health insurance is to contact a couple of
companies and see what they have to offer. A lot of these
companies will even send you quotes and information about the
policy online, which makes it easier to find the right fit for
both your health and your budget. By shopping around, you are
going to be able to learn a lot about health insurance and find
an affordable health insurance for yourself.

You may think that health insurance is expensive, and no one is
going to deny that. But, paying for a doctor's bill, a trip to
the emergency room, or something else out of your pocket is
going to be a lot more expensive than getting insurance in the
first place. There are plenty of places to look and find health
insurance for you and your family, you just need to know that
there are options out there for everyone. It all depends on your
preferences, the number of times you usually go to the doctor's
office, and your age and state of health. If you don't have
health insurance already, you should definitely check on getting
it from a private company to safeguard your health.

Iron is one of the most important minerals that our body needs
in order to function well. Without the recommended dosage of
iron, you can feel tired, irritable, and nausea. With a proper
diet and the right supplements, you can be back on your way to
restoring your iron deficiency and energy!

Iron is just one of the minerals found in hemoglobin.
Hemoglobin carries oxygen through the bloodstream, therefore
carrying it throughout the body. Without the right amount of
hemoglobin in our system, we can start to feel the effects. Some
of us might have constant digestive problems, headaches and
built up stress.

Not everyone who is low in iron has anemia but most iron
deficient people have what is called anemia. Iron is needed to
create the energy our body lives in. Without this, we will most
likely feel tired, falsely being compared to chronic fatigue.

Iron deficiency anemia is common among women. Pregnant women,
especially in their third trimester, are very likely to become
iron deficient. Pregnant women who are either in or entering
their third trimester should be more concerned on how much iron
is needed making sure it is enough for two!

Being deficient in iron is not the end of the world for most
people. It takes a little patience and commitment to restore
your iron balance. Some of the most important procedures to
restoring your iron levels are taking the right supplements and
looking closer at your meal choices.

Iron can be found in a lot of the foods that we eat. The most
effective way is to consume foods in which the iron is
absorbable. Some of these foods are poultry, fish and meats.
Other foods not including "meat" are leafy greens, certain
sources of fruit and some sources found in alcohol.

There is another way to get the right amount of iron we need.
Iron is found in a lot of supplements and is a partial
ingredient to any multi vitamin. Today there are almost too many
supplements to choose from.

When targeting a specific area of nutrition, you should
carefully look for supplements that will boost what you are
missing. In this case, you want to look for something that
contains a high source of iron.

One thing I want to stress is too much iron can cause digestive
problems. Some of the side effects of having too much iron are;
abdominal pain, your stool being dark in color, almost black,
constipation and diarrhea with traces of blood in it.

There are a few possibilities in which we can absorb too much
iron. If we eat too much meat day after day iron will build up
and serious constipation occurs. While certain nutrients are
great in abundance, consuming too much iron is not recommended.

Another way to have too much iron in our systems is the misuse
of related supplements. As with any supplement, take only as
directed. Iron is not a mineral that we can just double up on,
unlike other vitamins like vitamin c when we feel a cold coming
on. Too much of a good thing does not always work out for the
better!

We need the right amount of iron daily. Too little and we might
be fatigued and too much can lead to digestive pains and
constipation. If you are still unsure of the symptoms of anemia
or a less severe case of iron deficiency, please consult your
doctor.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Artists of miniature works have often been set aside as being
insignificant, unfortunately, as a result of the
larger-than-life work of their "big art" counterparts, but the
art of miniatures is certainly an art form worth looking at and
examining closer. Miniature artists, meaning those that work on
small-scale artistic pieces, have tremendous skill and patience.
With some projects being miniscule, the patient resolve of a
miniature artist is truly a sight to behold.

There are many top professionals in miniature art, many of whom
have likely not reached levels of fame occupied by other more
famous artists. Nonetheless, miniature art is a popular field
and has various associations working in support of miniature
art. There are several miniature art societies and clubs that
encourage and promote miniature art work through various gallery
showings, auctions, and promotional campaigns. The world of
miniature art is – pardon the pun – growing.

Miniature Painting

Miniature painting is often one of the most painstaking
processes to imagine, as paintings that are no more than three
inches wide by three inches tall can contain some of the most
intricate detail imaginable. The idea of painting something so
miniscule can be staggering for those with no experience in
miniature art, but for a miniature artist it is simply another
day at the office.

Miniature art societies, like the World Federation of
Miniaturists, have highly held standards of size measurements
that all miniature art must meet. For the most part, the global
standard on all miniature art is that the piece may not be
larger than one hundred square centimetres or slightly over
thirty-nine inches. There are different size definitions for
different pieces of art through different societies, however,
but most specifications match art that can be held in the palm
of one's hand.

Miniature painting was said to be first popularized in the 16th
century in Europe, as portrait miniatures became fashionable.
Portrait miniatures were used to introduce people to one another
over long distances, as large pieces of art simply would not
travel well and the convenience of smaller portraits made for
easier transport. Most early miniature paintings took place
using watercolor on vellum, but miniatures would also be painted
on ivory or various enamel surfaces.

Miniature Construction

Miniature construction is also popular, as built-to-scale
models of famous buildings or architectural structures are
renowned around the world. There are many examples of
scale-model building around the world, from miniature versions
of the Taj Mahal to the Empire State Building. The painstaking
construction of these miniatures is famous, too, as the patience
of the artists is definitely something to be admired.

Miniature construction comes in smaller, more basic scales as
well. Dollhouses, model cars, figurine collections, and other
toy items are often considered to fall under the umbrella of
miniature art, too. Some dollhouses are tremendously detailed,
right down to the stove and miniature fireplace within. There
are many examples of miniature construction art in everyday life
that draws attention to the art form and represents the true
creativity that is alive and well in the world of miniature art.

There has been a lot of press lately about the different types
of loans and you may have heard of a fixed rate loan. These
loans are actually pretty simple to understand and preferable to
many consumers. Before you accept one of the adjustable rate
mortgages that are out there and really appealing at first, you
should consider what a fixed rate mortgage will bring to your
life and if it is something that will work for you.

The Fixed Rate Mortgage

A fixed rate mortgage is a mortgage loan that offers the same
interest rate through the duration of the term of the loan. It
seems like this would be the way that all loans are, but today
there are many different types of loans, many of which feature
interest rates that will adjust, float, or change over time.

A fixed rate mortgage should also not be confused with an
interest only mortgage, a graduated payment mortgage, and
adjustable rate mortgage, negative amortization mortgages, or
balloon payment mortgages. Some of these other mortgages may
have periods of fixed interest but then they all change and
fluctuate.

When you take on a fixed rate mortgage you should be aware that
your payments will stay about the same but there may be some
things that will change the amount of your monthly payment from
year to year. While your home will be being paid off and your
interest will stay the same there may be changes in your escrow
plan such as the cost of property taxes and insurance that will
change, and therefore change the amount of money that you pay
each month. These changes have nothing to do with your interest
rate and should be easily explainable.

Fixed rate loans are generally the best for those that plan to
stay in their home for a good while, if not the whole term of
the loan. If you buy a home and you only plan to stay in it for
two of the 30 year mortgage than you might want to consider an
adjustable rate mortgage that may offer a lower interest may not
change at all during this time. If you plan to stay in your
home for at least five years than a fixed rate is a good idea
because you do not want to have to worry about what your
interest rate will be in four years.

Many consumers have found themselves in trouble five, ten, or
even 15 years down the road when their adjustable rate mortgage
has an interest rate that is so high that they simply cannot
make the payments. For this reason, if you believe that you
will be staying long term you should go for the fixed rate.

Many people believe that fixed rate mortgages are not as good
because their rates are not as good as the introductory rate of
an adjustable rate mortgage, but this is not the case. When you
compare the average interest rate of the other mortgages to the
fixed interest rate, you will likely see that the fixed rate
ends up saving the homeowner more in the long run. Each
consumer is unique and needs to consider their options and what
will work them but many find that the fixed rate mortgage is
most advantageous.

A far better way of looking for the cheapest car insurance than
looking yourself is to allow a broker to make a car insurance
search on your behalf. By doing so you will not only save
yourself money on cover, but also get your insurance quicker.
This is because brokers know where to go when it comes to making
savings.

It is also important for those who already have motor insurance
to shop around and not just take a renewal on their policy year
after year. While you can get a great deal when first taking out
a policy, your insurance will normally creep up year after year.
This means that many individuals who stick with their existing
provider instead of getting a fresh quote could be paying way
over the odds for cover.

A broker is without a doubt the easiest way when it comes to
your car insurance search. They have access to the whole of the
market place and will know from experience which insurers are
more likely to be able to save you money. The cost of insurance
will be based on many factors and there are many ways in which
you can help to reduce the cost.

Some thought should be given to the type of car (ie the engine
size) because this can go a long way to keeping down the cost.
The bigger the engine size, then the more you can be expected to
pay - a smaller model will cost less. If you do not need a large
car then stick with a smaller vehicle because when insuring it
you will save money.

Of course the amount of no claims bonus is one of the best ways
to keep the cost of insurance down. The more experience you have
when it comes to driving the better. If you have held a policy
for many years and have never claimed against it you are able to
make excellent savings.

Certain criteria such as whether you are a young driver, an
older one or a woman driver can also affect the price of your
car insurance. However there are insurance companies who will
specialise in dealing with insurance for these and this is where
you will get the best deal on your cover. A broker can take this
into account and fix their search with those lenders who are
most likely to offer the cheapest premiums. They are also able
to do this in the shortest time possible.

When making your car insurance search online then allowing a
specialist car insurance broker website to do it on your behalf
is the best way to make huge savings. However you should always
check the small print of any quote you are considering taking
out. The terms and conditions are where you can find what will
be included in your cover and what is not. Some policies can
come with extras included which of course can be to your
advantage and this is where you are able to find them.

The Advantages Of A Digital Light Projector
Are you looking for an image projecting solution for your
home or business? Digital DLP projectors employ an
image-screening method that is rapidly gaining popularity
and is becoming renowned for its quality and reliability.

Looking to create the ultimate home entertainment system?
Invest in a digital DLP projector to screen all your movies
at home, in state-of-the-art surroundings.

Regularly give presentations, or running a business or
organisation that requires the frequent use of high quality
projection equipment for conference or training events?
Digital DLP projectors are lightweight and operate at low
noise levels and are currently placed at the very forefront
of image projecting technology.

Digital DLP projectors use a relatively new image
projection technique, known as Digital Light Processing
(DLP) that has been in existence for about 20 years.

The new image projection technique was invented in 1987 by
a technical specialist called Dr. Larry Hornbeck, who was
then working for Texas Instruments.

DLP is another way of projecting digital images onto a
screen and, since the invention of the technique in 1987, a
great deal of work has gone into preparing the process for
release into the commercial market, where it is now
beginning to compete against other 21st century image
display techniques, like LCD, plasma screens and high
definition television.

DLP works by projecting an image through a complex matrix
of a large number of tiny mirrors. The number of mirrors
that your particular digital light projector contains will
dictate the resolution quality of the image that is
projected.

As DLP technology has improved, smaller, mass-market
digital light projectors are becoming available for use in
the office or home. These high-quality image projection
devices make excellent additions to a home entertainment
system and are handy tools for presentations and corporate
screenings, as well as being a great additional piece of
equipment for any educational establishment.

DLP technology works as both front and rear-projected, so
digital light projectors are available as stand-alone units
and also as box units that are fitted with a rear projector
and include a screen within the box ' making it one handy
image-screening unit.

The advantages of a digital light projector are manifold,
with the best advantage considered to be its superior image
projection quality, producing images on even the largest
screens of a quality and clarity that has never been seen
before.

Digital light projectors produce shake-free images and
their light source is replaceable, which gives them a
longer product life than other image screening options
available on the market.

So, how can you benefit from this rapidly-advancing new
technology and install a digital light projector in your
home, office or educational establishment? The Nobo range
of digital light projectors scores highly for image
resolution quality and contrast and offers exceptional
brightness. The Nobo range is easy to use, lightweight and
portable and has been designed with entry-level operators
in mind.

Beating the Stock Market
Copyright (c) 2007-2008 Dustin Johnson
Stock Market Investors
http://www.stock-market-investors.com

Many people dream about beating the market through their stock
investments. However, is this really worth the effort and is it
really possible?

Many have attempted to beat the stock market and only a few have
managed. Some pundits have gone a step further to claim systems
that guarantee this. Nevertheless, beating the market may not be
the best goal that you can set for your stocks. The reason for
this is that there are a number of other considerations that
should be made.

People are generally unclear about the meaning behind the word
"market", which leads to its different definitions. Different
indexes are used when referred to the stock market one of them
being the S&P 500. However, this index fails to objectively
present all of the stock sizes.

Beating the market requires the undertaking of various stock
deals that enjoy short term benefits. Some experts recommend that
you purchase companies that have high customer satisfaction
attached to them. There is logic behind this argument, because
when clients are satisfied with the product or service of a
particular company they use it and become loyal to the company.
As a result, the returns increase as well as the popularity among
investors. The price of the stock of the company will be also
influenced in an upward direction. If you have managed to invest
in the company while its price was still low, congratulations you
have managed to beat the market.

If you fail to walk away of the stock market when the right time
has come you may put your money at risk. And what actually
happens is that instead you beat the stock market you are beaten
by it.

Beating the market requires you to know when is the right time to
enter it and when to exit it. You should learn its indications
and not only notice them, but also understand the signals that
they send to you.

No matter how good you may be at such things, you should consider
whether it is worth risking your money for such a goal. Beating
the market may reward you very well, but you should never forget
that its punishment can be even higher. Winning several hundred
dollars from the stock market today may result in their loss
tomorrow. Because, even if you have done it once, beating the
stock market twice cannot be guaranteed for sure. No matter what
formulas the pundits have offered and techniques applied, it is a
game in which only a few have succeeded.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Dora the Explorer is the Hispanic title character in an
animated cartoon for children. Dora made her premiere in 1999 on
Nickelodeon, and by the year 2000 her show had become a network
staple. In 2005, she became the first Hispanic character balloon
to grace the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Dora is a cheerful, energetic and enthusiastic child with a
wide circle of friends and a close and loving family. Each
episode finds her character embarking on a mission to do a good
deed or to help a friend. The mission usually consists of Dora
going to three specific locations where she must find things or
complete certain tasks. Sometimes Dora requests help from the
audience to locate missing objects or to handle a situation.
Needless to say, all of her adventures end in success.

At the end of each show, Dora and her supporters celebrate
their victory and encourage the people watching the show to
think about their favorite part of the day's adventure.

Dora is usually accompanied by her best friend Boots, a monkey.
She is also aided in her quest by her magic purple backpack and
her wise geography-savvy singing map. Other minor characters
often put in helpful appearances as well.

All heroines, of course, must have an enemy to oppose them.
Dora's rather benign enemy is Swiper, who does his best to swipe
the objects Dora needs to find to complete her quest. (hence his
name). Swiper is portrayed as more annoying than evil and can
sometimes be talked into returning stolen items or even
performing a helpful act like rescuing a puppy.

The animation is bright, and the simple plotlines and catchy
tunes are designed to delight children (and their parents) while
passing along important messages about appreciating different
cultures, valuing friends and family, and being willing to work
to reach a goal.

Dora the Explorer has been considered an educational character.
Children learn some basic Spanish words and phrases. Dora is
presented with a problem in each episode. She solves the problem
using basic nouns, adjectives and commands which she asks the
children to repeat after her. When children watch her, they are
being part of the program, as they are asked to be active
participants. Parents often hear to their kids talking in front
of the screen or saying words in Spanish after watching the
show. Children also learn from Dora basic math and music skills,
physical coordination and how to observe situations and solve
problems. Dora is always willing to stop any activity to help
someone in need .

Dora is quite popular in with children in the United States.
She has also become world famous. Dora the Explorer is broadcast
in countries from China to Greece to Spain. There is even a
Hebrew version.

Dora the Explorer is frequently seen on merchandise as well.
Her face graces backpacks, shirts, jackets, shoes, hats, and
jewelry. She is also the star of multiple video games including
Backpack Adventure, Super Spies, and Dora the Explorer's World
Adventure. Unfortunately, many Dora-themed toys are manufactured
in China and were affected by the lead-based paint recall.

About The Author: Mastermind Toys has a variety of educational
toys for babies and toddlers. Provides Dora the Explorer

================== ARTICLE START ==================
When obtaining cheap car insurance quotes it is most time and
cost effective to use a specialist website. One that can easily
give you access to the marketplace from which to gain the best
range of cheap car insurance quotes.

It is best to use an independent specialist website that can
offer a wide range of car insurance suppliers, including the top
providers. Then you simply enter your details the once and the
results are available in a matter of minutes. The information
can then be assembled in a format that best suits your needs,
saved and accessed later at any time and with no cost to you.

When reviewing the cheap car insurance quotes, it is prudent to
read carefully the contents of the cover provided to avoid nasty
surprises later, the inconvenience of not having a free courtesy
car should your vehicle be in the garage for repair after an
accident, or not having free repair of a windscreen. It is also
wise to take into consideration that certain factors can
influence the price of the policy. Motoring convictions and
accidents within the last five years, plus the lack of a no
claims discount can all add to the price.

You should also be aware that the method of payment you chose
often affects the price. It is cheaper to pay an insurance
premium annually rather than monthly, as there is frequently a
surcharge for making payments by instalments. You should also
be alert to the fact that the means with which you pay can also
affect the price. There maybe a fee if you pay by credit card
rather than debit card but you can be assured that any payment
on-line using this specialist website will be secure.
Alternatively, there is always payment by cheque, but that can
mean that the insurance cover will not start until the cheque
has cleared.

It is possible to alter the price of cheap car insurance quotes
by increasing the amount of excess you are prepared to pay
should you make a claim. By increasing, the excess amount from
£50.00 to £500.00 can reduce the premium considerably. The age
and sex of the driver is also a contributing factor to the
price. Should you require cheap car insurance quotes for a
specified section of the population, such as women drivers or
young drivers, then using this specialist website has great
advantages. Simply set the criteria to reflect the type of
driver and the website, with its comprehensive range of
insurance suppliers, will provide results from the most
competitive insurance providers, allowing you to select the best
deal.

The ability to retrieve information and alter details with ease
on this specialist website is effortless and saves so much
precious time. It is simplicity itself to compare equally the
price and features of the cheap car insurance quotes. Then when
a decision is made, you can just purchase the chosen car
insurance policy without having to re-enter any of the details.
There is also the assurance that the information provided by
this specialist website is impartial, allowing you to make an
informed decision when choosing between the cheap car insurance
quotes.

Article Title: A Finance Broker Can Help Save You Money When
Considering A Commercial Loan

================== ARTICLE START ==================
When it comes to taking out commercial finance then a finance
broker has many advantages over going it alone. When considering
a loan then a lot of thought has to be given to it and you have
to understand the technical jargon that comes with the finance.
Not only can a broker get you the best deal but they are also
able to give you information and advice on the different aspects
of the loan.

One of the first things a finance broker can go through with
you is the type of loan you are wishing to take. The choices are
a fixed rate of interest, a variable, a repayment or interest
only loan. There are both advantages and disadvantages to all
and you have to decide which is suitable for your needs. Of
course these are only just a few of the factors that have to be
taken into account when looking for finance.

A fixed rate loan will come with a slightly higher rate of
interest but this rate will of course remain fixed for a period
of time. This is excellent when it comes to sorting your monthly
budget. However, when the fixed period has ended then it will go
over to a variable rate and the repayments can shoot up
drastically. A loan of this type will usually incur early
redemption fees which mean that if you pay off the loan early it
will cost you a lump sum of money. However if you choose to go
with a finance broker they will search out lenders who offer
this type of loan without the fees.

The variable rate loan will be based on the Bank of England
base rate and as such when this changes so will the rate of
interest attached to your loan. If the interest rate is low then
this is to your advantage, however if it shoots up then so do
your repayments. The variable rate will only really work out for
you if the Bank of England base rates are low. There are good
and points to both and the broker will be able to give you all
the advice needed to determine which way to go.

A finance broker can also help when it comes to deciding
whether to take out a repayment loan or an interest only loan.
If you choose to take out an interest only then you will only
pay back the interest that has incurred on the loan. However at
the end of the period of the loan you will be left with the lump
sum which you originally borrowed, which will have to be repaid
in full. Lenders will usually ask for proof that you have the
means of repaying this amount before they will ok the loan. The
repayment loan will take the monthly repayments you make and
take off a little of both the interest and the capitol. This
means that at the end of the period of the loan you will have
paid in full the amount you borrowed. The rate of interest you
pay will normally be higher than that of the interest only loan.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Writing a website full of BBQ Smoker Recipes is a time
consuming business even at the best of times. I take pride in
ensuring that the pictures I put up on my site are of food that
I have cooked and not some glossy template purchased on the
internet and I also want my recipes to be innovative. What I
enjoy most of all is when readers use my feedback form with
ideas for improvements to my site and also to suggest recipes,
there's so much creativity out there and to harness just a small
amount of it is truly humbling.

It's a two way street of course and just as I get some great
free barbecue recipes in return and I also get a lot of
questions to which answers are free of charge. Many of the
questions start with the sentence "I've just won / been given a
smoker without any instructions and I'm gonna cook for 20 guests
at the weekend, do you have any tips for me?"

I'm not sure about tips but my immediate reaction is a
combination of:-

· Lucky you winning a smoker
· Cooking for 20 first time out, that's a challenge……….
· Cooking for 20 first time out – are you mad?

Barbecue cooking for any number of people is challenge enough
but doing it on a piece of equipment that's never been used
before is really asking a lot. Nevertheless I always respond
with my "essential tips" for the novice smoker:-

1. Do a trial run. Not just to test your BBQ cooking abilities
but also if the smoker is new it will be protected with an oily
film that needs to be cleaned up. Just like any oven it's
important to give it a run otherwise your first food will not
taste right.

2. Keep the temperature in the smoker between 230 - 250°F

3. It's indirect cooking so heat should no be directly under
the food, put the drip tray here and this will help keep it
moist.

4. If it's a charcoal smoker the coals will start to cool after
60 mins so keep a steady stream on fresh charcoal available and
change every 45 mins

5. Slow cooking is the order of the day and you'll need to
allow up to 90 mins cooking time per pound of meat

6. Many argue that after 5 hrs smoking, the smoke adds no
further flavour so you can finish off in the conventional oven
if you wish. (Just wrap the food in foil to keep it moist)

7. Don't be tempted to lift the cover of the barbecue too often
– you only let the smoke out

8. Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature.

9. Practice makes perfect - don't give up after the first
attempt!

And that last point is so true, I've been cooking on grills and
smokers for 20 years and I still get it wrong so don't be too
hard on yourself if at first you don't succeed.

Even if you're not a novice smoker, hopefully there's something
here for you to take away and you'll have a happy and safe
cookout or maybe you have got a tip for me?

The African Safari Company is a company which truly takes pride
in being able to offer hunters absolute professional and
personalized attention. They are a company which was established
in 2001, and it is an owner run operation.

The leading directors are Ian and Mary-Linda Gloss, and they
have been the directors since the origination of the company.
Collectively the two have 23 years experience in the hunting and
tourism industry and they both have their roots firmly set on
the African soil and as well are both Zimbabwean born and
raised.

More About The African Safari Company

The African Safari Company offers various different safari
tours, with the two most popular being the Botswana safaris and
the Zimbabwe safaris.

The African Safari Company states on their website about how
Botswana is one of the most politically and economically stable
countries in Africa and that it has no history of war, and that
thus it is an absolutely wonderful spot in Africa to go on a
safari tour.

They also speak about how it is a landlocked country in
Southern Africa which is situated between Namibia to the west,
South Africa to the southeast and Zimbabwe to the northeast.
They tell of how the country's self-sufficiency is largely in
thanks to its large diamond reserves and as well about how the
wealth of the economy largely contradicts its undeveloped and
haphazard infrastructure.

In regards to Zimbabwe, they speak of how it is also an
absolutely wonderful destination, particularly for a safari
tour. They tell of how it is a beautiful country with a
sub-tropical climate and how it is a country which is blessed
with vast riches of mining, agricultural and tourism potential.

As well it boasts a greatly diverse topography with trout
filled lakes and misty mountains to grassy plains and large
rugged magnificent rivers and of course the renowned Zimbabwe
valley, home to the Big Five.

The African Safari Company is, without a doubt, one of the best
safari tour companies out there today, and so if you are
interested on going on a safari tour in Africa then you are
definitely going to want to strongly consider going with this
company over any other.

Just make sure that you call to book far ahead of time, as they
often have a waiting list and you want to make sure that you are
able to get in for the time period that you want to.

Have You Been Told Your Business Is High Risk?

Finding a bank or credit card processing company that will
process credit cards for high risk businesses can be challenging.

As a business owner you may have already been told that your
business is high risk or worse yet you may have had your merchant

account shut down or cancelled. It's common practice for banks
and credit card processors to close accounts that are deemed
"high risk".

Most high risk businesses don't realize they are considered high

risk until they contact a bank or credit card processor. If you

own or are thinking about opening a business you may run into
difficulties qualifying for a merchant account. This can be a
huge problem for a small business owner. Without accepting
credit cards most businesses are doomed.

A merchant account is basically an account that allows you to
accept credit cards from your customers and deposits those funds

directly into your account. One of the biggest problems a
business owner faces is the application requirements. Most banks

and some credit card processors will not even accept applications

from businesses that are deemed high risk. So how do you know if

your business would be considered high risk? Listed below are
businesses that would definitely be considered high risk
merchants:

* Airline and Jet Charter
* Cruise line/ Tour operators/ Travel Clubs
* Infomercials
* Aggregators (3rd party payment processors)
* Timeshares
* Credit Repair
* Collection Companies
* Lotteries/ Gambling/ Sweepstakes
* Sports Forecasting
* Internet Pharmacies
* Internet Tobacco
* Adult businesses/ Escort Services/ Dating Services/
Pornographic
Material
* Drug Paraphernalia
* Vitamin and Supplements

The credit card processing business as a whole is very
competitive. However, high risk merchant accounts are very hard
to find and can be very costly to get. The problem with some
offshore banks or credit card processors are the fees associated

with submitting an application. It's not uncommon to see a
credit
card processor charge $2500.00 just to submit an application with

no guaranty that the account will be approved. Others may want a

security deposit equal to your monthly credit card volume paid in

advance.

This is one reason why you should look for a credit card
processor that understands your business, your needs, your
problems, and is willing to devote the time to helping you. There

are very few high risk merchant account companies. Finding the
right credit card processing company to work with is essential to

your long term business success.

There are credit card processing companies that specialize in
placing high risk merchants. So how do you go about finding
those companies?

Today's technology provides us the opportunity to do business
with companies beyond our own neighborhoods. We do business
electronically through the use of e-mail, fax machines, and of
course the internet. What this means for the business owner is,
you no longer are "locked in" to doing business with just the
bank or company in your home town. You can "shop online" for
the
best rates, best products, and service. You can now do business
with a credit card processor or bank in Great Britain, Canada,
Philippines, or any place else just as easily as the "hometown
bank". Fact is, nine times out of ten, you will find the level
of
service to be much better with a bank or credit card processor
half way around the world. Why? They want your business, and are

willing to go the extra mile to prove it.

The Morality of Paid Links and Google's 'Intent Algorithm'
Copyright (c) 2006-2008 Bill Platt
Links And Traffic
http://www.LinksAndTraffic.com

It is Google's fault actually. No one can be blamed for this
matter more than Google itself.

Google came up with a brilliant plan for determining the best web
pages to show in their search engine results. And then without
telling us the intimate details of their plan, they told us about
part of their algorithm by explaining the importance of inbound
links --- the Google PageRank (PR) system --- in their
calculations.

Google itself planted the seeds its own future headaches. Nobody
did it to them; they did it themselves.

I am sure the fault really lies in Google's marketing
department. They wanted to tell the world what made their search
engine algorithms more powerful than the competition. It probably
was an innocent mistake on their part. But once the genie is out
of the bottle, it is impossible to put the genie back in the
bottle.

So, now the whole world knows that if you want to get good search
rankings in Google, you must have links pointing to your website
from other websites on the internet. Everyone also knows that if
you want better search rankings in Google, then you should strive
to create even more links with the appropriate keywords in the
anchor text of those links.

Building Links

There is always more than one way to skin a cat. There are many
methods that people can employ to build links to their websites.

1. Register free websites so that you can create inbound links
back to your own site.

2. Register new domains where you can place other links back to
your website.

3. Leave comments on blogs.

4. Link Exchanges.

5. Getting your own listing in any of the directories that are
available (dmoz.org, yahoo.com, etc.).

6. Signature File - getting involved in discussion forums and
actually adding value to the discussions.

7. Submit product and service testimonials to those product
distributors and service providers.

8. Social Networking - bookmark web pages through social
bookmarking sites.

9. Link Baiting - creating a resource that people will want to
link to for the benefit of their website visitors.

10. Article Marketing - writing an article and giving webmasters
the opportunity to use your content on their website, IF they
agree to post your link on the page with the article that they
are using.

11. Press Releases - writing and distributing press releases
online.

12. Buy advertising on a website.

13. Buy Link Placements on a website.

Good Links Versus Bad Links

I have always focused my attention on practicing White Hat Search
Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques, instead of Black Hat SEO
techniques.

Most of you know what I am talking about, but I have been
surprised a number of times when people did not understand what
was meant by "white hat" and "black hat." So, for those of you
who do not know what I am talking about, here is a brief
description. "White hat" and "black hat" are references to the
old serial cowboy westerns. The good guys always wore "white
hats," and the bad guys always wore "black hats."

By far, the link building techniques I employ most often are
article marketing, press releases, and link baiting. I still
frequently participate in forums and buy advertisements on other
websites, but I do those for public exposure and not for search
marketing.

A Black-and-White Issue

I have always been extremely concerned with White Hat techniques
for building links to my websites and from my websites.

"Providing good quality content as the foundation for my linking
activities" has always been my golden rule. And, it still is that
main driving force behind everything that I do.

I like a black-and-white world where everything makes sense, and
I had no reservations about my thoughts on this topic.

The Morality of Paid Links

A couple weeks ago, I was reading Matt Cutt's thoughts about
paid links on his blog. Most folks in internet marketing know who
Matt Cutt's is, but if you don't, he is a software engineer
that works behind the scenes with Google in their quality
department.

Generally, if Matt Cutts says anything at all about improving
your rankings in Google, you can take his words to the bank.

Now, Matt has made it more than clear that we do not want to buy
"paid links" to our websites as part of our link building
campaigns. Paid links are a big no-no according to Matt. That is
his advice, and I have always trusted it at face value.

That is why I have focused my entire link building activities
towards "content-driven linking."

I was reading a discussion of paid links in Matt Cutts' blog at:
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/text-links-and-pagerank/

After I read Matt's thoughts, I continued reading the comments
on the page. Many good points were made and responded to by Matt.
It was an interesting read.

And then, my black-and-white world was turned upside-down when I
read the comments presented by Dan Thies of SEO Research Labs at:
http://www.seoresearchlabs.com/

Here is what Dan said:

Search engines are free to develop their algorithms as they
see fit. They're free to decide which links they want to trust.
Maybe I'm the heretic here, but I don't see anything wrong with
Google identifying sites that are selling text links, and dealing
with that however they like.

I just hope Matt and his co-workers aren't expecting this to
solve their problem. He's already seen that people are looking
for better ways to game the system. I hope Matt and his
co-workers don't seriously expect the entire web to start
labeling paid links for them.

The Google ideal may be that "the best links are earned and
given by choice," but what does that mean?

If I add text links to my favorite florist, favorite online
casino, favorite unlicensed pharmacy, favorite travel site, etc.
will Google decide that my site isn't worthy to participate in
developing their "democratic" search results? If I "vote" for
George Bush or Michael Moore as a miserable failure, am I no
longer qualified to vote?

What's the algorithm for determining intent, Matt?

Intent Is Abstract and Important At The Same Time

There is the rub. How can Google know the heart of the webmaster?
They can't, unless the webmaster pointedly describes their
intent.

If the webmaster calls those links "paid links" or "sponsored
links," then Google can know that webmaster accepted money to
provide those links.

If I buy advertising on a website, to attract potential buyers to
my website, how does Google know my intent? Did I do it to get
traffic from that website, or did I do it to game the Google
results? They cannot know my heart.

Even if the webmaster does not call the shown links "paid links"
or "sponsored links," does the suspicion of the pay-for-placement
model label the webmaster as a "bad egg?" How does Google really
know if Dan is linking to a site because he wants to, or whether
he has accepted payment for that link? They cannot know.

And the final example on this topic comes from a poster named
Shelley who participated in the discussion at:
http://weblog.philringnalda.com/2005/08/19/

Shelley stated that she allowed two "paid links" on her
well-respected blog, because she had a car payment to make. She
traded on her brand name to get enough cash to make the car
payment in tight times. Will she be penalized for selling "link
space" to advertisers on her website?

In Conclusion...

Based on the comments that I have read from Matt, Shelley should
not be worried about her acceptance of "paid links" on her
website. If I have interpreted his comments correctly, her site
will not be hurt by her outbound links.

However, we are meant to believe that if you and I were to buy
links on her page, then we should be concerned about our future
in connection to the Google search results.

So these questions remain for the search companies to figure
out...

Webmaster's Intent:

1 Which links are paid links, and which links are freely given
links?

2 Who is selling links to pass on their PageRank value, and who
is providing a useful or valuable link for their visitors?

Link Buyer's Intent:

1. Who is trying to game the Google results, and who is trying to
attract buyers to their website?

2. Who should be treated as a spammer, and who should be treated
as an honest performer?

This last question is the tricky one. We all know a spammer's
website when we see a spammer's website. But, how can the search
engines deal with the spammer's, without damaging the innocent
in their quest for search results perfection?

Yes, that is their problem, not mine. But, if Google's paid
links policy hurts my own placement in the search engines, then
the paid links equation becomes my problem too.

More Questions Than Answers...

Yes, it is true. I have posed more questions than what I have
presented answers. But sometimes, the questions are more
important than the answers. This is one such case.

Document Management Software - The Essential Investment For Any Business
Document management software is an essential investment for
any business handling large numbers of documents in a
networked system.

Document management software will enable your business to
function more effectively, saving staff time and creating a
document flow that works in harmony with the machines that
you run and network in your business environment.

There are many companies that specialise in creating
document management software suitable for a range of
purposes, including the creation of digital archives,
remote web access to documents and networking support.

You will find companies creating products designed for a
single user right through to large-scale, business-wide
deployment and they are renowned for their development
work, done as part of a consultative process with their
many users.

Document management software enables you to convert your
paper archive of documents into electronic versions and
then to continually extend this electronic archive during
the day-to-day life of your business.

The benefits of converting your paper documents into
digital versions are manifold and include easier storage;
easier retrieval; accessibility across your organisation;
the networked sharing of information to improve
communication; and efficiency within your business.

Filing electronic versions of your paper documents can also
help your business by enabling easy tracking of large
stores of documents and preventing the loss of paper
copies. An electronic archive is easy to manage, with the
right software, and documents can be located quickly. One
of the most obvious and immediately beneficial advantages
to converting your paper document archive to a digital
format is that of space-saving. You will instantly gain
space in your office and the need for large-scale storing
cabinets with mass archives will be eliminated.

In order to create an electronic document archive, you will
need a scanner and some document management software. The
archive is created by the scanning of paper documents, with
your document management software then enabling you to
store these documents on a hard drive or disk, as you
prefer.

Following scanning and storage, your documents are indexed
in an archive format. Future retrieval of these documents
is easily enabled via your document management software.
Your document management software will also enable you to
set different levels of access and document editing rights
for individual users across your network, so you can
customise the security of your archive to suit your
business and employee needs.

Quality document management software allows you to grow and
extend your electronic archive well into the future and
means that you can continually add to your electronic
document archive with a modular approach. Such software
will also enable you to allow controlled access to your
document archive from within your office environment, on a
multi-location network or using online methods, for staff
working remotely. Once you have decided that your
business can really benefit from investment in document
management software and accessories, there are a number of
other factors to consider. It is a very good idea, and key
to making the right investment for your business, to take
some time to plan through how your particular needs can be
met by document management software and what your future
requirements might be.

Consider factors like the number of currently archived
paper documents that your new electronic archive will need
to store and approximately how many new documents may be
added over a 12-month period. You should also plan out
roughly how many users will need access to the system,
whether there will be public access and how much control
you will need to have over user rights and permissions.

Obviously, there are then also technical considerations,
such as the current specification of your network
capabilities and any existing scanning machinery you have.
Depending on the size of your business, it can be a good
idea to pool resources and skills to create a document
management software requirements list, as you will need to
consider administrative, technical and, possibly, legal
requirements before you go ahead and create your new
electronic archive.

Don't Play Poker With Your Sales: Boost Sales With Flowers

Sometimes getting your items to sell seems like an awful gamble.
You may even feel like you're involved in a daily poker game
where you're literally betting your livelihood on getting your
customers to open their wallets and purchase your goods.

USA Today recently offered some great tips for helping your sales
to flourish. Among those tips are:

* Signature Scents: Have you ever heard that the smell of
freshly baked cookies can help your home sell faster? Well,
certain scents may boost your retail sales, too. Some stores are
even creating their own "signature scents" that they're piping
in through their vent systems. For example, Thomas Pink clothier
pipes in the fresh scent of laundered shirts and Sony Style uses
a combination of vanilla and mandarin orange.

* Enticing Displays: Gone are the days where endless racks and
shelves of goods were enough to sell the items. Shoppers want an
eye-catching, pleasant shopping experience. Instead, create
pleasant displays to show off your wares.

* Comfy Nooks: Weary shoppers appreciate a comfortable area to
rest their tired feet and set down their heavy bags. Cozy sitting
areas may entice customers into the store where your fabulous
displays and great products will prompt them to buy. Abercrombie
& Fitch has begun to utilize this trend, creating areas with soft
lighting, cushy furniture, and books to lure teen customers in
with the hopes they'll stay and shop.

* Hot Items On The Right: Which way do you turn when you enter a
store? If you're like most shoppers, studies indicate you turn
right. So, place your best items and impulse buys on the right!

These are all really great suggestions, but I'd like to add one
more. Use flowers to help you sell! Think about this-are you more
likely to buy items in a cheerful setting that makes you feel
welcome and happy, or in a dreary one that just makes you want to
leave? Using flowers to decorate your store offers your customer
a quick pick up that may just get them to pull out their wallets,
too. Let's take a quick look at how flowers can play into the
suggestions offered by USA Today:

* Signature Scents: There are many varieties of fragrant
flowers. Choose one that brings the right feel to your store and
set up a standard delivery of the flower to your store.

* Enticing Displays: Flowers are always pleasant to look at, and
they can add a lot to your displays. Choose colors that will
catch your customers' eyes and compliment the items on display.

* Comfy Nooks: Studies have shown that flowers help people to
feel welcome in your home, so why not in your store? Flower
arrangements can be created to match any décor.

* Hot Items On The Right: To make sure those impulse buys draw
maximum attention, place brightly colored flowers near them. Your
customers will be drawn to the flowers and will be more likely to
notice the goods near them.

Sales needn't be a poker game. Use some creativity in setting up
your store, drawing customers in, and making them feel welcome.
While USA Today offered some excellent ideas, adding flowers will
increase your sales even more.

Finding People

As your business grows, so does your need for support staff.
Whether that's professional project management, accounting, call
center or distribution support, these new employees should align
with your core business values and objectives.

Before you recruit employees, define your business vision and
mission. Identify your ideal business culture. Do you support an
open-door policy or a more formal structure? Do you want a casual
atmosphere or conservative team? Are you looking for progressive
or diversified employees? Hire right the first time to ensure
long-term loyalty and minimal turn-over.

When you're first starting out, it's more financially feasible
to outsource work. For instance web and graphic design,
programming and IT, copy writing, legal and
accounting/CPA/payroll are common services businesses outsource
both at the outset and into establishment. Outsourcing eliminates
payroll, annual salary increase, unemployment, insurance and
retirement benefit, equipment and space expenses while offering
improved experience and expertise. You gain the advantage of
using services without a costly long-term commitment should your
business slow.

Other alternatives include temporary staffing centers or employee
leasing. Cash-strapped start-ups can even hiring paid or unpaid
interns. Temporary staffing gives you immediate access,
experienced personnel, lower training requirements and overtime
fees plus reduced turnover. When your needs extend beyond six
months, hire your new temp as a permanent employee, or recruit a
long-term, permanent candidate.

When its in your best interest to expand your team, talk with
friends, professional associates, customers, vendors, colleagues
and others in your personal and professional network to get
recommendations. You can also contact college, trade, vocational
or high school placement offices and the local employment agency
to find candidates. Trade or industry publications offer targeted
advertising, while online job websites and newspaper
advertisements are a more traditional and broad-reaching option.

Once you have a loyal and established employee base, save money
on recruiting by implementing an employee referral program. These
programs give employees cash bonuses for referrals resulting in a
hire. You should also establish a competitive employee retention
plan to sustain qualified workers, keep your recruiting expenses
low and productivity high.

Planning and Building Your Online Storefront

Organization is key to making sales and offering a pleasant
shopping experience. Your customer is busy and wants to
accomplish tasks quickly with minimal frustration. They also want
to find a clean and pleasing atmosphere, layout and design. Once
you intrigue your visitor with your main landing page, your goal
is to keep them there with simple navigation and fast check-out.

Jacob Nielsen, Ph.D., a leading website usability authority, User
Advocate and principal of the Nielsen Group, explains: "The
first law of e-commerce is that if users cannot find the product,
they cannot buy it either." Your website is basically just an
electronic catalog with a bit more technology. Use design, copy,
multimedia and photographs that inform your visitor and help them
buy your products. In studies, researchers found that nearly half
of all sales are lost because visitors simply cannot use the
site. Multiply this by the repeat business lost from the same
customers and your numbers grow exponentially.

While many businesses strive to be unique, websites should use
the standard navigation structure and labels of major brands.
Pioneering Internet firms like Amazon have set the standard in
customers' minds, making it intuitive to visit links like:

* Your Account
* Shopping Cart
* About Us
* Contact Us
* Help
* Search
* Press
* Careers

Before contacting a website designer, analyze your products and
audience carefully. Outline your navigation structure ensuring it
takes few clicks to reach your intended objective - a sale. Know
the expectations and experience level of your user. For instance,
teenagers will be more fluent with computers and the Internet in
general, though they may also be less sophisticated in reading or
research strategies and have a lower patience threshold. They'll
further need clever graphics and innovations to keep their
interest.

Jacob Nielsen offers ten important website usability guidelines.
These are:

Make the Site's Purpose Clear: Explain Who You Are and What You
Do

1. Include a One-Sentence Tagline

2. Write a Window Title with Good Visibility in Search Engines
and Bookmark Lists

3. Group all Corporate Information in One Distinct Area

Help Users Find What They Need

4. Emphasize the Site's Top High-Priority Tasks

5. Include a Search Input Box

Reveal Site Content

6. Show Examples of Real Site Content

7. Begin Link Names with the Most Important Keyword

8. Offer Easy Access to Recent Homepage Features

Use Visual Design to Enhance, not Define, Interaction Design

9. Don't Over-Format Critical Content, Such as Navigation Areas

10. Use Meaningful Graphics

Send your planned navigation outline to your website designer.
Then, once your website's developed, gather a test group of
about 10 people. Let each person run through various tasks on
your website without offering help or guidance. Take notes on
areas of confusion and make adjustments. If you have heavy
traffic, phase in changes gradually to minimize confusion. We've
all gone to the grocery store right after a reorganization, only
to become even more frustrated when we can't locate the Lays or
light bulbs. People get used to the way things are, good or
bad.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
There are many factors an individual should consider when
taking out used car finance. These will vary depending on where
you choose to buy your used car. If buying from a showroom then
there are factors you have to be aware of that are different to
those when buying privately.

If you are unaware of the options available and different types
of finance then you will more than likely pay well over the odds
for your car. If buying from a dealership then you will probably
be offered finance there and then. While this might seem like
the easiest way to borrow it can also be the most expensive. The
dealership might offer you a new car loan and this is not the
best option when buying a used car. Taking out specific used car
finance can save money. Taking the loan from the dealership very
often means that you will be paying a much higher rate of
interest than you need to.

If you are buying your used car privately then of course you
will have to take care of finding your loan yourself. The
easiest way to obtain finance is by going online with a
specialist car loans broker and allowing them to search around
on your behalf. This means that you are able to compare interest
rates to make sure that you get the cheapest possible rate for
your circumstances in the shortest time possible.

When taking out used car finance then the terms and conditions
vary as to whether or not you will be accepted for the loan.
However by going with a specialist they are able to explain what
is needed in order to be able to qualify.

One of the biggest factors that a lender will take into account
when you apply for finance is your credit rating. The lender
will be reluctant to give anyone a loan that has had problems in
the past with credit. If your credit rating is less than perfect
then while you might get a loan, you could have to pay more in
interest. Usually those with bad credit are asked to put
something up as collateral against the money they are borrowing.
However as a car will depreciate in value a lender will not take
this against a loan.

A specialist website will always be able to get you a good deal
on car finance. Along with this they will give you the terms and
conditions of the loan which you must read thoroughly before
buying. It is here where you can find all the terms and
conditions of any borrowing and additional costs. The amount of
interest the loan will accumulate can be found here; the full
amount you will repay; and the monthly repayments.

To summarise, you can get a cheaper rate of interest for your
used car finance if you go online. If you go with a specialist
they are often able to access lenders that the individual cannot
and in the shortest time possible. All that the individual has
to do is to go through the terms and conditions that come with
the quotes a provider gives to ensure the loan is suitable.
