Travels tours range from volunteering with children in
Nicaragua to mountain climbing in the Rockies and even a wine
tasting tour in Italy. There are tours for every preferred
indulgence and interest. It could turn out to be a stressful and
overwhelming task to decide on a tour. There are certain tools
and tips you could follow to make a profitable choice of a tour.
This includes considering what you should do, what you would
like to do and the budget for both.
First, choose the destination. Where would you like to go on
tour? When it comes to choosing from places across the globe,
you need not be apprehensive, as the choice is vast and the
locales on offer are exotic. Determining how and where you want
to travel would help you in short-listing the number of tours
available.
After choosing where you would like to go, decide what you
would like to when you are on tour. If you have a passion for
underwater photography or ancient cave art, there are tours that
are designed to allow you to explore your interests. If you have
varied interests, there are tours to satisfy the variety you
crave for.
The next step would be deciding on how much time can you spend
on the tour and when you would like to go. There are seasonal
variations, which could spoil your vacation if you haven't
conducted background research.
After deciding the time, try to decide on the pace you would
prefer for touring. Maybe if you have less time on hand, you
could opt for moving from place to place as quickly as possible.
There are people who prefer enjoying a more leisurely visit to
each locale. However, at leisure or at a quicker pace, every
tour has its own drawbacks and benefits.
Next, decide on who will be traveling along. Whether it is a
solitary tour or one with the entire family, take into
consideration the extra fees single travelers are asked to pay.
Once you know who is going on your little adventure, you can
figure out how large your budget is and what sort of tours you
can afford. Prices depend on the length of your tour and what is
included. Consider the price of airfare, food, ground
transportation, accommodation and tour guides and find out
whether these are included in the price quoted.
Decide if you would like to tour on your own or with a group.
If you will be travelling with a group, consider how large the
group is and the ages of the group members. There are holiday
tours designed specifically for women, singles, seniors and
families.
Figure out the level of comfort you desire and can afford. The
food and accommodation may not always suit you. There are
adventure tours and rural destination tours that demand a
certain level of compromising when it comes to comfort.
Do your share of research and refer to various travel
publications, periodicals and the Internet. Compare all the
tours and clear all doubts. A vacation is for you to enjoy and
you should take all necessary measures to make the tour a
successful one and turn it into an enlivening experience.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
Imaginative play is an important part of childhood. Not only is
it fun for children but it is also an essential part of learning
and developing. Children learn about themselves, about their
world, and lay the groundwork for their future through
imaginative play. Yet too many children are not encouraged to
use their imagination through play. There are three essential
ways you can encourage imaginative play in your child -- by
providing the place, the time, and the supplies.
Does your child have a place for imaginative play? Is there
somewhere, even the corner of a room, where they can build a
block city or shape play dough monsters? Can they assemble all
their stuffed animals into a school or all their cars into a
parade? While children should be encouraged to pick up after
themselves sometimes it takes a while to build the city of their
dreams and they want time to play with it again. Try to strike a
balance between your need for order and their need for
imaginative play. Give them a day or so to create a complex
setting for their imaginative play before forcing them to put
away their toys.
Does your child have the time for imaginative play? It is
amazing how many young children have a very full schedule. While
many of these activities are likely required, such as school or
day care, and many are also desirable, such as sports or clubs,
it is also important that children be given the opportunity for
free, unstructured play that allows the opportunity for
imaginative play. It is not desirable that every moment of every
day be structured and planned. Children who are not given the
opportunity to exercise their imagination run the risk of losing
the ability to use it at all.
Does your child have the supplies for imaginative play? As we
know from our own childhood that imaginative play does not
require extensive and elaborate supplies, but children do need
access to objects they can use. A complex wardrobe is not
necessary but a few items can be helpful. A bath towel might be
a king's robe or a super hero's cape or swaddling for a baby. A
cardboard tube from wrapping paper might be a sword, the
container for a secret map, or a spyglass. A cardboard box might
be everything from a treasure chest to a race car. Provide a few
basic supplies and try not to be too suggestive in their use.
Children will do better if allowed to give their imagination
free rein without your interference and control.
Imaginative play can be a wonderful opportunity for your child
to not only enjoy their childhood but also to learn and grow as
people by trying on different roles such as parents, cooks,
police officers, and firefighters but also to experience safe
adventures as pirates, explorers and paleontologists.
Imaginative play should be encouraged in children by allowing
them the place, the time, and the supplies for imaginative play.

How To Write An Employment Thank You Letter
It never hurts to say thank you.
Once you have been selected for a job you may think your
work is done on the 'impressing' front and it's time to
just move into a new desk and find out what your first
project is. Wrong. You still have a chance to really start
things off on the right foot and leave a better first
impression. The secret is a simple letter - an employment
thank you letter.
While you probably sent a 'thank you' after the interview,
and most likely also said 'thank you' after you were told
you got the job over the phone, it's still a professional
and polite gesture to send an employment thank you letter.
In addition to being an appreciation for the chance to work
with the company, it will also be a chance to make sure
everyone is on the same page, in writing, for the job you
are preparing to do.
Keep in mind they offered you the job in your most recent
communication. While you may have said 'yes' on the phone,
that is not a formal acceptance of the job. This letter
will be that formal acceptance as well as a polite
communication that will show you are a professional and
have manners.
This letter should be addressed specifically to the person
who made you the offer for the job. When you begin penning
an employment thank you letter there are a few things the
correspondence needs to include:
Appreciation - This is what the letter is all about. So, of
course, you want to start it by letting the person who
offered the position know just how much you appreciate the
offer, and that they made the right decision in selecting
you.
Acceptance - You also want to make sure they know you are
definitely taking the job. Your next paragraph should
mention that you are looking forward to beginning to work
with the new company, and this person, and even mention the
date you will begin working in the new position.
Terms - It is always a good idea to mention your salary and
benefits in an employment thank you letter. While they
should remember what they offered you, and you should
remember exactly what was offered, you don't want to be
surprised and realize something wasn't as you remembered.
It is best to make sure you mention your employment terms
in the letter, so it is in writing for everyone to see.
Make sure the letter includes all your pertinent
information - name, address and phone number. While this
should already be on file with your new employer, from your
job application and resume, it never hurts to make sure it
is easy for someone to contact you, if they should need to.
Look at the paper you are using to print this letter on. It
should have a professional feel to it, not be extra thin
and flimsy feeling. Again, it's about a professional
appearance, not just something quickly thrown together.
Double-check what is in your letter before you send it to
your new employer. While you have already made it through
the interview portion of things, and have even landed the
job, you don't want them to second-guess whether they made
the right decision when they see a sloppy letter. Make sure
you have no typos, and that all your grammar has been
checked and checked again.
While your interview was your first impression with the
employer as a person, your employment thank you letter will
be your first impression as a new hire. Make it a good one.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
Most of the time, refinancing your mortgage will result in a
lower interest rate and/or lower monthly payments. It may
shorten the length of time you have to pay on your mortgage
until it's completely paid off. Refinancing can also help you
use some of the equity in your home to pay off other bills- and
many people use it to get themselves out of credit card debt,
pay off personal loans or even their vehicles. The benefits of
refinancing are many- but there are instances when refinancing
your mortgage can do more harm than good.
Refinancing requires you to remove your escrow. Sometimes, a
mortgage company will offer you a refinance deal; but it won't
include your property or school taxes, and it won't include your
homeowners insurance. For some people, this isn't a problem and
setting aside the $60 a week (or whatever it may be) to ensure
you have enough money to send out your taxes and homeowners
insurance once a year is easy enough to do. For the majority of
people however, it's all too easy to forget to set aside the
money since it isn't due for months- and when the bills come in
the mail, you suddenly have to come up with a few thousand
dollars to pay them. If your refinance offer doesn't include
escrow and you're used to having your taxes and homeowners
insurance included with your mortgage payment- you might want to
reconsider.
Also- if you're not paying attention to details, your refinance
offer may seem like an amazing deal. Perhaps your goal is to use
the refinance to also pay off some of your credit card accounts
and your car payment. The payment may increase slightly- but
after you add up the figures you find it's still lower than what
you're paying now for your mortgage and each of the individual
payments of the accounts your paying off. This is exciting! But
if your refinance removes the escrow you could very well end
up paying more per month than you were initially keeping all of
your payments separate!
Refinancing extends the terms of your mortgage. There are
refinance offers that may result in a lower monthly payment- but
in exchange for a longer mortgage term. Maybe before you
refinanced, you had 20 years remaining on your mortgage. You
refinance and the offer would require that you pay for 30 years
in order to get the lower monthly payment. This can be an
advantage or disadvantage, depending on your situation. If you
are just in need of a reduced payment, the extra time on the
mortgage may be worth it to you. On the other hand, if your
purpose of refinancing wasn't because you were having trouble
making the monthly mortgage payment, extending your mortgage
terms will result in paying more over the long-term in interest.
Refinancing that doesn't reduce your principal balance. In some
cases, refinancing a mortgage will result in lower payments that
don't even change the amount you owe. For example, let's say you
had a fixed-rate mortgage and owed $164,000. You pay a 5.375%
interest rate and have 18 years left to pay on your mortgage.
You might want to refinance to get a lower monthly payment
because the $1186 that you currently pay is becoming difficult,
so you look into a 5-year adjustable rate mortgage. The interest
you're offered is 5.875%, with an interest only payment for 5
years. Your monthly payment would be reduced by $383 which is
substantial and would probably make it easier to make your
payments- however- over the 5 years on this adjustable rate,
interest only payment plan, you would save $23,012 in monthly
payments but the remaining balance on your mortgage would still
be $164,000 at the end of the 5 years. If you kept the original
mortgage and didn't finance, at the end of those 5 years, you
would have paid your mortgage down to a balance of $132,975-
over $31,000 paid on the mortgage! After 5 years on the
interest-only adjustable rate mortgage plan, you would end up
$8,013 poorer. (See the mortgage professor's explanation of
this:

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
Technically, investment property can be understood in the terms
of buying any property with the intent of gaining return. This
investment property can be any type of venture like vacant land,
apartment buildings, duplex or single family homes and even any
type of commercial property.
The "investment property" actually is termed to the property,
which the owner does not occupy or occupies only the half part.
Consider these points as well regarding investment property:
1) The concept of possessing investment property is increasing
among people since it carries a percentage of surety in terms of
its returns (return on investment or ROI). Mostly people opt for
land as an investment property for reducing their taxes because
this is an assured way of income that can be given on lease or
even sold at high prices later when the market prices bear high
rates. Apart from this, investment property can also be bought
from auctions and even be inherited. Many also invest in a
property for securing their financial life after retirement.
2) Many beginners follow the strategy of buying a duplex,
staying in one part and the other part is given on the rental.
This helps in paying off the loans while the excess money
collected becomes a profit for the owner. In this way, the owner
can then purchase another investment property and the cycle
continues. The fact is that the investment property is usually
purchased mainly for gaining income by renting the property,
profiting by overtime from appreciation, and for selling it
latter at higher prices.
3) Investment property is one of the most popular mediums to
secure out financial assets. However, buying an investment
property is not a child's play. A detailed plan of action is
very important to ensure that you invest is in the right
direction.
What to Look for in Investment Property
Here are some guidelines that you need to keep in mind when
looking for investment property. When looking for the investment
property, it is very important to survey for the most profitable
geographical areas that have higher in property rates and also
decide upon the property-type you would like to invest in
long-term
In addition, it is advisable to consult professionals; who are
well versed with the practices of investment property, like
investment lawyers and estate agents, and seek the help of the
financial experts when buying commercial properties. Also plan a
strategy of how to buy low and sell high along with your friends
or spouse and solicitors to make sure that you get the best
offer to on the desired investment property.
Before buying any property, it is necessary to inspect the
property to note any shortcomings, as you will have to spend a
bit on repairing any faults to increase the income aspects for
higher rentals.
After you have bought property, make a proper taxation
strategy. Your success in this matter also relies on property
management and mortgage management. The "investment property"
can only be termed successful if the expenses associated with
the property like the loan, taxes etc, are fully funded by the
income which you receive from this property in the form of
rentals and if not, then you need to redesign your property
strategies.

Business owners and marketing directors hire marketing
consultants, publicists and copywriters either because they
don't know how to attract new customers or because they don't
have time to do the work. It's essential to keep this in mind in
dealing with new clients to avoid getting started on the wrong
foot or worse, sabotaging the relationship.
Don't make the following four mistakes, which are unfortunately
commonly made by many neophytes (and some veterans) in this
field.
1. DON'T give a new client a long standard questionnaire to
fill out. Of course you need to understand the client's
business, but this is the worst way to gain the understanding
you need.
For one thing, the long standard questionnaire is impersonal
and therefore gives the client the impression that you have a
formulaic way of thinking and performing. Second, it's insulting
to them and a waste of their time when the questionnaire
inevitably asks for information that doesn't relate to the
client's business. And third, it imposes an undue burden on them
when they've hired you precisely to lift that burden off of
them!
Instead of using a standard questionnaire, I request the
client's existing marketing materials and/or background
information. I study those and create questions that clarify
confusing points, supply missing data and provide helpful
perspective. Clients love this.
Even if the questions take some time to answer, the clients
feel challenged in a positive way by such requests. Because the
questions get them thinking and may reveal significant
performance gaps, clients feel they are already beginning to get
their money's worth, even at this early stage.
2. DON'T expect the client to understand marketing jargon.
Unless the client is as marketing-savvy as you are, which would
be quite rare if they're hiring you as their consultant, you
can't ask them questions like, "What's your ISP?" "What are your
keywords?" "What publicity angle are you thinking about?" or
"Who are the stakeholders for this project?" Ask any such
questions and you deserve the rebuke, "Isn't it your job to know
that?" Instead, be careful to word your questions in terms that
any business owner or manager understands, regardless of their
familiarity with marketing. For instance, the questions "How is
your business different from competitors?" and "Who needs to be
consulted before this project can be finalized?" are fine.
3. DON'T assume the client can analyze their business
intelligently. Even when you don't use jargon, beware of asking
questions that require marketing sophistication to answer. Just
about all the copywriting students I have trained are shocked to
learn that the typical business owner cannot rattle off the
benefits of their product or service.
I have seen smart business owners totally stumped when asked
what advantages their product or service gives users. They just
don't think about what they do in that way because they're in
love with the advanced features of their gizmos. However, if you
ask them a series of pointed questions, such as "Do you save
customers time? Money? Hassles? Help them get ahead of their
competition? Help them improve relationships?," they can answer.
So I advise you to do the analytical thinking for your client
the best you can, share your thinking with them and then ask
them to correct you or elaborate on what you've surmised. That
way, they catch on without the embarrassment of being asked
questions they don't know how to answer.
4. DON'T send off an overly complicated contract for the client
to sign. For every project over a certain monetary threshold, I
get the client's signature on an agreement. But I don't call it
a "contract" (which would make them think they have to show it
to their lawyer first which can painfully lengthen the
getting-started process). I call it a "simple agreement" and I
keep it as simple as possible, in ordinary language, no longer
than a page. No client has ever delayed on it or declined to
sign it.
When you've handled all the preliminaries appropriately, you've
set the stage for a productive, fast-moving project that makes
both sides happy.

Posse Out!
Have you always wanted to say that? If you have, the US
marshals job may be for you. As a US marshal, the law allows you
to form posse to get the job done.
The United States Marshals Service is a federal law enforcement
agency that protects the federal courts and its personnel. It is
the oldest law enforcement agency in the United States.
In this article, I will elaborate on the role and duties the US
Marshals Service and its agents play in the criminal justice
field. In no particular order of importance, they are:
1. US Marshals protect the federal courts. There are about 400
federal courts. It is the responsibility of US Marshals to
monitor these court houses. They do this through installing and
monitoring security systems, like surveillance cameras.
2. The US Marshals Service and its agents protect federal
judges. There are about 2000 federal judges. It is the
responsibility of US Marshals to protect these judges.
There are federal cases that are just high risk. Just imagine
the federal judges that try terrorists. These judges are at high
risk because you never know what these terrorists and their
counterparts are capable of. Some of them may even have the
notion of threatening or killing these judges if judgment does
not go their way.
3. It is the duty and role of US Marshals to enforce the
decisions handed down by federal judges. The Civil Rights cases
are a perfect example of this. It was the US Marshals that
escorted black students to white schools in the South when the
Supreme Court ruled against segregation of schools.
4. It is the role and duty of the US Marshals Service and its
agents to protect witnesses in federal cases. As I said above,
some trials are just too high risk. So much so that witnesses to
these trials can be in danger. Just being a witness in such
trials can lead to people trying to harm you in way or the
other.
The US Marshals must make sure this does not happen. They will
escort such witnesses throughout the trial. And in extreme cases
after the trial, they have to place the witnesses into their
witness protection program. This can include changing the
identity of the witnesses and relocating the witnesses to a
completely different part of the country.
5. US Marshals play the role of tracking down and arresting
federal fugitives from the law. This does not need a lot of
explanation. Simply put, there are criminals that run when law
enforcement agents try to arrest them. It is the duty of US
Marshals to apprehend them and bring them to justice. They even
assist state and local authorities apprehend state and local
fugitives.
As you can see, the role and duties of US Marshals are plenty.
I have by no means covered all of them. But, it is hard to do an
exhaustive coverage in such a short article.
If you are interested in becoming a US Marshal, I recommend you
look into this further. You can do so by visiting websites that
cover this career opportunity in more detail.

Failure! What do you feel when you think about failure?
Inadequate? Unworthy? Unlovable? It is so sad that you might
have learned to link failure to your value as a person.
Most people who are successful in their work and their
relationships have experienced many failures along their road to
success. Thomas Edison, the inventor of the electric bulb, is
often quoted regarding failure:
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't
work."
"I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is
another step forward."
"Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close
they were to success when they gave up."
"Show me a thoroughly satisfied man, and I will show you a
failure."
If Edison has been afraid of failure, or believed that failure
meant he was inadequate, he would never have invented the light
bulb!
In order to achieve success in any area of your life, you need
to redefine failure. Instead of seeing failure as an indication
of your inadequacy or lack of worth, you need to see failure as
a stepping-stone to success. Some of the most financially
successful people experienced repeated failures.
* Walt Disney was a high school drop out who suffered
bankruptcy and repeated financial and business disasters.
* Milton Hershey, chocolate maker and founder of the famous
Hershey Foods Corp., found success only after filing for
bankruptcy for his first four candy companies.
* Henry Ford filed for bankruptcy for the first car company he
started. He didn't succeed until he started his third company,
Ford Motor Company.
* After P.T. Barnum, American showman, went bankrupt, he joined
forces with circus operator James A. Bailey to found Barnum and
Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth.
* Quaker Oats went bankrupt three times, as did Wrigley from
Wrigley's Gum. Pepsi-Cola went bankrupt twice. Other famous
companies that also went bankrupt are Birds Eye Frozen Foods,
Borden's,? and Aunt Jemima.
* Albert Einstein did poorly in elementary school, and he
failed his first college entrance exam at Zurich Polytechnic.
* Winston Churchill had a lifetime of defeats and setbacks
before becoming prime minister of England at age 62. All of his
greatest accomplishments and contributions came when he was a
senior citizen.
* Sir Laurence Olivier, one of the greatest actors of the 20th
century, tripped over the door sill and fell headfirst into the
floodlights the very first time he had ever set foot on the
professional stage!
* Woody Allen flunked motion picture production at New York
University and the City College of New York and failed English
at N.Y.U.
* Astronaut Ed Gibson flunked first and fourth grades.
* Lucille Ball was once dismissed from drama school for being
too quiet and shy.
(From http://www.joesabah.com/dseibert/ )008.htm
If these successful people had been afraid of failure, they
would never have offered the world their talents. They were able
to go on to success because they saw failure as a learning
opportunity rather than as an indication of their inadequacy.
Are you ready to change your concept of failure? Are you ready
to let go of worrying about what failure says about you and just
learn from it? Are you ready to free your soul to do what you
really want to do?
If the fear of failure is stopping you from doing what you
really want to do, I want to encourage you to change your
concept of failure. I want to encourage you to let go of your
old way of seeing failure and start to envision failures as
learning opportunities on the way to success. Just as Thomas
Edison did, I encourage you to see every failure as a step
forward!

The Power of Thankfulness
There is one sure fire medicine which cures all pain and
opens the way for your greater good. It allows you to sleep
well at night, wake up refreshed and filled with enthusiasm
for your daily tasks. This medicine is abundantly
available, has no side effects and can be taken in large or
small doses regularly. You need no one to prescribe it. The
more you take, the sweeter it is. The medicine is the
practice of thankfulness.
Although there are endless cures for anxiety, one thing is
impossible - to be upset and grateful at the same time.
When we take thankfulness on as a practice, we see that
gratitude is more than a fleeting feeling, it is a daily
practice, a basic way of life.
In fact, no matter what we are feeling, we can always
perform deeds of thanks; actions that express our gratitude
and awareness of the good we constantly receive. Actually,
when we perform these actions, our feelings often turn
themselves around. And as we constantly express our
gratitude we become more and more aware of all we have to
be grateful for.
There are two important aspects of this practice; one works
with our actions, the other with our attention. Rather than
give in to our usual self-centered focus, we take our
attention off our habitual complaining mind, and
continually make ourselves aware of what we are receiving,
moment by moment, day by day. Most of the time we feel we
are constantly giving and receiving little. Most people
feel drained and unappreciated. However, when we focus
instead upon all we receive, we will be amazed at how much
we have taken for granted.
A strong support and underpinning for this practice comes
from Naikan therapy, which was developed in Japan. Naikan
is simple, simple, direct and incredibly powerful. It can
be done by anyone at anytime. In Naikan, we take time to
focus upon and answer three fundamental questions; it is
best to get a notebook for this, sit down and write your
answers down, very carefully and specifically. A Naikan
sitting usually takes from thirty to forty minutes. The
three questions are: What did I receive today? What did I
give today? What trouble or pain did I cause today?
Answering these questions carefully and persistently can
change our lives. The third question does not exist to
create guilt, but simple awareness of our behavior and its
effect upon others. When we notice that we have caused some
trouble or pain, we can then simply correct it. And once we
are aware of it, it is much less likely we will do it again.
We do not ask how was I hurt or upset today. The mind
constantly dwells upon this question and the purpose of
Naikan is to balance our lives and minds. We can do
Naikan on the day, or on anything else. In the Naikan
retreats that go on, we do Naikan on relationships, taking
three years at a sitting. What did I receive from this
person? What did I give to this person? What trouble or
pain did I cause this person?
As we do this wonderful simple practice daily we naturally
become more aware of and grateful for the many, many gifts
we constantly receive (most of which we have either taken
for granted or been unaware of. The fullness we usually
seek in others, comes to us on its own. And then,
inevitably we just want to give back. It happens naturally.
When we are so filled with thanks and plenty, it is
impossible not to do so. The practice of thankfulness, of
acknowledging others, giving back to them, being aware of
and moved by the good we are giving, can heal many aspects
of a life. It washes old hurts and resentments away. It
opens the door for good to arrive. It is a gift we give to
ourselves which others receive simultaneously.

You might find that a surprise vacation is more exciting. Cheap
holidays anywhere might include last minute deals to Marbella,
Puerto Rico or even San Pedro. Just say surprise me and pick a
week or weekend you would like to travel and you might be
surprised where you will be taking your next vacation. Last
minute deals are exciting you just have the thrill of going
somewhere you have never thought about before. You will still
enjoy yourself, you will just have great savings and fast
packing. Take San Pedro for instance, you might not choose this
for your vacation, but this is going to be one trip you will
never forget.
Traveling to San Pedro, you might stay in Orange Walk or Cayo
District. Another popular area is Belize with so many different
things to do. The thing to do in Belize is to explore the
underwater environment. The barrier reef is somewhere to see
colorful fish, exotic fish and a reef you have never seen
anywhere else. You might see a manatees or even the almost
extinct American marine crocodile and the many marine turtles.
People love to visit the barrier reef and if you have an
underwater camera, you are going have memories of this
experience that few people have the opportunity to have in their
travel collection.
You might plan your surprise cheap holidays to Marbella for
some fun and beautiful beaches. They have resorts, hotels and
apartments for everyone to enjoy. The beaches are set on the
Mediterranean Sea where the waters are warm and inviting.
Marbella has some exciting nightlife, fantastic shopping and
many art exhibits that will keep the family busy. You will find
some live entertainment clubs, dance clubs and the casinos for
some more excitement. They have pool tables and something you
may never have heard of called snooker, which is another form of
pool.
If you are taking the kids, you need to go to Funny Beach. It
is a playground for kids with rides and some go-karts for the
older kids and adults. The beach also has a bar for some
refreshments. Then you have the game of golf at Los Naranjos
Golf courses and Artola Golf. These courses are said to be very
well groomed and exciting to play because of the terrain around
the area. If you are looking for a romantic walk during the
evening hours, Casco Antiquo has cobblestone streets that are
winding and narrow.
Cheap holidays to Puerto Rico are another exciting trip. You
will find casinos, excellent dining and discos for a night of
dancing. You will see ceremonial parks, plantations, old
colonial churches and years of history. You can take scheduled
tours or just do your own tour. You might even enjoy the museums
and the Aracibo Observatory up in the mountains. This by means
is the most extraordinary thing to see. They have a dish pointed
towards the sky that is as big as a dozen football fields put
together. This is one place you will want to spend the day
seeing.

Article Title: Stop Smoking Hypnotism: You Can Use Hypnotism To
Stop Smoking For Good

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
For years we've known that cigarette smoking is linked to
emphysema, lung cancer and other illnesses. Each year, many
people decide they want to quit smoking once and for all. While
deciding to quit is a good move, unfortunately, the addiction to
the nicotine contained in each cigarette makes it really hard
for the average smoker to quit.
There are many aids like gums, patches and pills on the market
that will help people to stop smoking. A lot of people are
helped by these products, but they do not work for everyone. If
you're a smoker who has tried to quit time and time again, but
have not been helped by other methods, hypnosis therapy may be a
welcome alternative.
Many people, who have almost given up on being able to quit
smoking, are finding success with hypnotherapy. This kind of
hypnotism is not the same kind you will see when watching a
hypnotist act for entertainment. Hypnotherapy is not about
making you say and do funny things. Hypnotherapy works because
it uses positive suggestion to influence your behavior.
Hypnosis works on the subconscious part of your brain.
Subconscious thought is very powerful and we often bemoan the
fact that we have a lot of negative subconscious thoughts about
ourselves. However, your subconscious mind can be trained to
think positive thoughts as well. Hypnosis successfully plants
suggestions deep into your brain. When you awake and go about
your everyday business, you'll begin to act on these positive
suggestions.
When hypnosis is used to stop smoking, the hypnotherapist will
make gentle suggestions to the smoker, who is in a completely
relaxed state of mind. This hypnosis style does not control the
person's mind or body movements. While the smoker is relaxed,
they will be very accepting to the suggestions that the
hypnotherapist repeats.
The smoker is told over and over again that they no longer wish
to smoke. The voice will reinforce a very strong message that
cigarettes are no longer needed or desirable. After going
through the hypnosis, the smoker will still experience cravings
for cigarettes every once in a while, but will be able to resist
due to the deep belief that they no longer need to light up.
Studies show that when hypnosis is used to help people to quit
smoking, there is an 80% success rate. Most smokers who are
successful with this method are people who are highly motivated
to quit smoking and respond well to hypnosis.
You can choose to either visit a qualified hypnotherapist who
is trained to treat smokers, or you can buy a hypnosis CD or Mp3
download and do-it-yourself at home. If you choose to do it
yourself, you can save money and listen to the hypnosis session
anywhere you wish.
No matter how you choose to get the hypnosis therapy, the
important thing is to stick with it until you've completely
kicked the habit. Giving up smoking is not easy because it is a
serious addiction, however, you must do it because of the
long-term health problems you may experience due to smoking.
Plus, I'm sure you're tired of stained teeth, yellow hands,
coughing and smoker's breath.
You can stop smoking with hypnosis therapy right now if you
really want to finally be done with this awful habit. The choice
is yours. If you make this commitment to yourself now, you will
ensure that you'll be able to live a much happier and healthier
lifestyle.
About The Author: Self Hypnosis cure brings you amazing
results! Conquer your fears, bad habits and those nagging
anxieties for good. Relax in your own home and enjoy a feeling
of freedom and empowerment. The time to start is right now.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
The exact cause of autism is unknown with theories ranging from
the result of immunization, genetics, or a combination of both.
However, latest findings have demonstrated that there may also
be an autism yeast infection link.
So what does yeast have to do with autism?
Studies show that autistic children have different `gut flora'
when compared to non-autistic children. Generally, healthy
"good" bacteria are at work throughout the digestive tract to
keep the digestive system operating normally. However, repeated
doses of antibiotics (as would be prescribed, for example, for a
regular childhood ear infection), or even exposure to common
childhood diseases such as chicken pox, can destroy a large
amount of the necessary gut flora, permitting Candida an
aggressive and opportunistic yeast infection to grow and
flourish.
Even in children who have not suffered from many common
childhood diseases or who have not recently been prescribed
antibiotics, there remain other ways for Candida to take hold in
the body.
It is believed that general environmental factors may also be
contributory factors. Exposure to toxins in the air a child
breaths and the water he drinks, as well as genetic factors
for example, if a child's mother is prone to yeast infections,
this may be passed on to the child and a diet high in sugar
all open up a child to a greater risk of Candida overgrowth.
Researchers now believe that there may be an link between
autism and yeast infections which occurs when the Candida
multiplies and changes the workings of the digestive tract,
releasing a multitude of toxins into the body. The brain and the
rest of the body's systems such as the digestive system - are
strongly linked. Therefore, disturbances within the digestive
tract may have a direct impact on the brains functioning leading
to a worsening of autism symptoms.
A study performed by researchers from the Center for the Study
of Autism in Oregon treated autistic children for a yeast
overgrowth. They demonstrated that once gut flora levels
returned to normal, the children showed a decrease in
hyperactivity and self-stimulatory behavior, as well as better
eye contact and more restful sleep. There was also evidence of
increased concentration and improve verbal abilities.
When treating yeast infections it is important to note that if
the anti-fungal treatment is halted too early the yeast is
likely to return, and it may be more aggressive, having
developed some resistance to the drugs that had been used to
treat it. Generally, the recommendation is for an autistic child
to proceed with antifungal therapy for a minimum of six months
in order to maintain improvements.
However, with use of antifungal therapy, drugs are only one
half of the battle. Diet plays an important role in reducing
yeast in the system, especially when it comes to sugary foods.
Sugar is among the worst dietary contributors to Candida
overgrowth, as yeast can flourish 200 times faster when sugar is
available within the body.
So for anti-fungal treatments to be most effective it is
recommended that your child follow a restricted diet that
eliminated all sugars and any foods that contain yeast, which
include bread products, cheese, and mushrooms.
The Autism Research Institute (ARI) founder, the late Dr.
Bernard Rimland MD believed that in most cases, Candida is not
the singular cause of autism. However his own research led him
to conclude that a "small but significant" proportion of
autistic kids between 5% and 10% - will improve when properly
treated for Candida.
For more information on whether yeast infection autism
treatment is suitable for your child speak to your physican.

Collectible kitchen plates have been around for a long time.
Your grandmother may have had a collection of antique or
specialty plates. Decorating with these plates is one way to add
interest to your rooms.
There are many categories of these collectibles. Some of them
were designed to be collected and some of them became more
desired as their value and popularity grew. When these products
were no longer available to be purchased new, they began to
become prized parts of a collection.
More Valuable if the Design is No Longer Available
Some of these plates that started out as china to be used for
dining are simple pieces. They may be blue cornflower, or have a
hand-painted rose design. If the design is no longer available,
they are valuable. Some are fancier but still considered as
china. These may be embossed with the name of the place where
they were used. It could be a restaurant, a hotel, a cruise
ship, or even a plate used at government functions.
Other plates are designed with collecting in mind. These are
the ones such as the Danbury Mint limited editions. There are
special Norman Rockwell plates, and also from Currier and Ives.
Of these latter, the Four Seasons group is quite popular.
Commemorative Plates
Some plates are made to commemorate a specific event. You will
find some celebrating the bicentennial of the United States,
city and church founder's day, Mother's Day and Christmas. Some
of these may have a special significance to you. For example,
there are times when someone will make or have made plates
commemorating the day of your wedding. These are precious items
that you will want to display proudly.
Many people like to gather kitchen plates when they visit
tourist locations. Others like to get ones that have been
acquired years ago and buy them as antiques. Either way, they
are or will become collectible. You can get plates from
locations like the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Yellowstone
Park, the Royal Gorge, Pike's Peak, or other scenic places.
These often have a picture of the tourist site on the front. A
similar type that is of interest to tourists is the state-themed
plate.
Old-Fashioned Collections
There are certain old-fashioned items that have come down
through many generations. Many of them are still being made
today, but usually they are not as elaborate. One of these types
is the recipe plates. These are generally made of porcelain.
They have an actual recipe painted on the front. The recipes are
real and if you follow the directions, you will have a cake or
salad that is easy and flavorful. The other type is the prayer
plates. These are also elaborate, often gold rimmed, and have a
kitchen prayer painted on their fronts.
Collectible kitchen plates can make your cooking area come
alive. They are reflections of your personality and they radiate
charm. Hang them on your walls, or put them on plate stands. You
will find that after awhile, they will start to seem like old
friends.

Located in Suffolk on the banks of the river Orwell, Ipswich is
the county town of Suffolk and is one of the largest towns in
the East of England.
Ipswich has been an important town since Roman times, so there
is plenty to see and do whether you are visiting the town for
leisure or business. There is a wide range of hotel
accommodation locally, so you're sure to be able to find
somewhere to stay that fits your budget.
1. Sport
Ipswich Town Football Club are the local team and you may be
fortunate enough to catch them playing at their home ground, the
Portman Road Stadium. They produced two of England's most
successful football managers: Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby
Robson, although recently their performance has dipped and they
feature in the second tier of the football leagues. For a faster
event, check out the Ipswich Witches speedway team at the
Foxhall Stadium where races have been played out for over half a
century. Rugby fans can choose between Rugby League and Rugby
Union: unusually, the town has teams for both of these rugby
codes.
2. Arts and Culture
By its nature, Ipswich seems to attract artists. There are
plenty of galleries including one at the stately home
Christchurch Mansion, an ex monastery with around 70 acres of
wooded grounds if you prefer nature's creations to man made art.
Art exhibitions are also a regular feature at Ancient House
which, as its name says, is a really old building dating back to
the early 1400s. Transport enthusiasts will want to visit the
Ipswich Transport Museum which mainly features vehicles that
have either been built or used locally to the town. These
include trams, trolley buses, fire engines as well as prams,
cranes and wheelchairs. If you visit at the right time of year,
you may be able to see the annual Ip-Art festival including it's
free day at Christchurch Park.
3. War-time Ipswich
One of the more interesting museums in Ipswich is also one of
the smallest. It is the Clifford Road Air Raid Shelter Museum.
It isn't open very often but if you can manage to visit, it
provides a fascinating insight into some of the conditions that
would have been experienced during World War Two.
4. Eating Out in Ipswich
Although your hotel may have a restaurant, it's also worth
checking out the local eateries. Ipswich is well catered for in
this respect, with Chinese, Indian, French, Italian, British and
other cuisines. For a quicker meal, there is the usual selection
of sandwich shops and coffee bars. Or you could take in a meal
in one of the many pubs and wine bars that are scattered all
over the centre of the town.
5. Ipswich Nightlife
If you've got time, there are cinemas and theatres where you
can spend a leisurely evening watching the performances. For
those who want a drink outside the environment of their hotel
bar, there are plenty of bars and pubs in the centre of Ipswich
as well as several night clubs so that you can dance the night
away!
About The Author: Make your stay in Ipswich a pleasant one by

How To Develop Trust In A Relationship
When distrust, arises in a relationship there are many
factors which can be causing it. Unless we understand where
these feelings are coming from, it becomes easy to act out,
blame the partner and put all kinds of unhealthy demands
upon them. We can even believe that they are cheating when
they are not.
When feelings of distrust arise, some begin to create more
and more restrictions upon the partner, demand more
information and make them feel closed in. This often can be
the beginning of the end. In all relationships every
individual needs time alone, time with friends and of
course time together.
When we take away a person's individuality and freedom to
grow, sooner or later the individual feels trapped. Not
only does this destroy your partner's trust and good
feelings about themselves, but they can easily grow to feel
that there is no way to ever make you secure and happy.
The best way to develop trust is to take a moment to first
understand some basic laws of healthy relationships, and
what love truly means.
Loving another person does not mean possessing them, or
having them there to make you feel better about yourself.
This is not loving or respectful of who they are. Instead
we are turning them into an object, who exists to meet our
needs. We are then, not loving, but using that person.
We all must develop basic trust in our partners and
ourselves from within. If a partner is truly not deserving
of trust, then tracking their behavior and restriction
their lives will not help at all. In fact, it usually makes
matters worse. The person simply goes underground, or finds
other ways to sabotage the relationship, in order to gain
their freedom.
Some individuals are filled with distrust because they
never resolve past hurts about being cheated on in former
relationships. They then project this hurt and insecurity
upon the partner they are with now. A current relationship
cannot take away old wounds. Each person must take time and
responsibility to work through what happened and the
feelings they were left with as a result of it. Sooner or
later they must realize that their partner is different and
their situation is a new one as well.
If one requires that their present partner take away the
pain they are feeling, they are looking in the wrong
direction. No matter how loving a person is, no matter how
solid the relationship, they cannot take away pain and
confusion that exists within oneself. Each person must face
their feelings and work them through on their own.
There are many ways to build self-esteem and to feel safe
once again. Just as we work out in a gym each day, we need
to work on ourselves emotionally to build the strength we
need to combat fear and negativity. One exercise that can
be used is - to consciously look for the good - both in
your partner and yourself. Whenever you find yourself
dwelling upon negativities step back, take a deep breath,
and consciously choose to focus upon what is good and right
in both of you. This will create calm, balance and
positivity.
Doing this exercise, becoming calm and positive will not
cause you to gloss over reality, but to be able to be
focused and even better aware of what's going on. Needless
to say, in cases where the partner does not deserve to be
trusted, when there is clear evidence of wrong doing, if
you are calm and positive, you will then be able to make
healthier, constructive choices for yourself.

Narcissism in the Boardroom

Narcissism in the Boardroom
By Sam Vaknin
Author of "Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited"
The perpetrators of the recent spate of financial frauds in the USA acted
with callous disregard for both their employees and shareholders - not to
mention other stakeholders. Psychologists have often remote-diagnosed them
as "malignant, pathological narcissists".
Narcissists are driven by the need to uphold and maintain a false self - a
concocted, grandiose, and demanding psychological construct typical of the
narcissistic personality disorder. The false self is projected to the world
in order to garner "narcissistic supply" - adulation, admiration, or even
notoriety and infamy. Any kind of attention is usually deemed by narcissists
to be preferable to obscurity.
The false self is suffused with fantasies of perfection, grandeur,
brilliance, infallibility, immunity, significance, omnipotence,
omnipresence, and omniscience. To be a narcissist is to be convinced of a
great, inevitable personal destiny. The narcissist is preoccupied with ideal
love, the construction of brilliant, revolutionary scientific theories, the
composition or authoring or painting of the greatest work of art, the
founding of a new school of thought, the attainment of fabulous wealth, the
reshaping of a nation or a conglomerate, and so on. The narcissist never
sets realistic goals to himself. He is forever preoccupied with fantasies of
uniqueness, record breaking, or breathtaking achievements. His verbosity
reflects this propensity.
Reality is, naturally, quite different and this gives rise to a "grandiosity
gap". The demands of the false self are never satisfied by the narcissist's
accomplishments, standing, wealth, clout, sexual prowess, or knowledge. The
narcissist's grandiosity and sense of entitlement are equally incommensurate
with his achievements.
To bridge the grandiosity gap, the malignant (pathological) narcissist
resorts to shortcuts. These very often lead to fraud.
The narcissist cares only about appearances. What matters to him are the
facade of wealth and its attendant social status and narcissistic supply.
Witness the travestied extravagance of Tyco's Denis Kozlowski. Media
attention only exacerbates the narcissist's addiction and makes it incumbent
on him to go to ever-wilder extremes to secure uninterrupted supply from
this source.
The narcissist lacks empathy - the ability to put himself in other people's
shoes. He does not recognize boundaries - personal, corporate, or legal.
Everything and everyone are to him mere instruments, extensions, objects
unconditionally and uncomplainingly available in his pursuit of narcissistic
gratification.
This makes the narcissist perniciously exploitative. He uses, abuses,
devalues, and discards even his nearest and dearest in the most chilling
manner. The narcissist is utility- driven, obsessed with his overwhelming
need to reduce his anxiety and regulate his labile sense of self-worth by
securing a constant supply of his drug - attention. American executives
acted without compunction when they raided their employees' pension funds -
as did Robert Maxwell a generation earlier in Britain.
The narcissist is convinced of his superiority - cerebral or physical. To
his mind, he is a Gulliver hamstrung by a horde of narrow-minded and envious
Lilliputians. The dotcom "new economy" was infested with "visionaries" with
a contemptuous attitude towards the mundane: profits, business cycles,
conservative economists, doubtful journalists, and cautious analysts.
Yet, deep inside, the narcissist is painfully aware of his addiction to
others - their attention, admiration, applause, and affirmation. He despises
himself for being thus dependent. He hates people the same way a drug addict
hates his pusher. He wishes to "put them in their place", humiliate them,
demonstrate to them how inadequate and imperfect they are in comparison to
his regal self and how little he craves or needs them.
The narcissist regards himself as one would an expensive present, a gift to
his company, to his family, to his neighbours, to his colleagues, to his
country. This firm conviction of his inflated importance makes him feel
entitled to special treatment, special favors, special outcomes,
concessions, subservience, immediate gratification, obsequiousness, and
lenience. It also makes him feel immune to mortal laws and somehow divinely
protected and insulated from the inevitable consequences of his deeds and
misdeeds.
The self-destructive narcissist plays the role of the "bad guy" (or "bad
girl"). But even this is within the traditional social roles cartoonishly
exaggerated by the narcissist to attract attention. Men are likely to
emphasise intellect, power, aggression, money, or social status.
Narcissistic women are likely to emphasise body, looks, charm, sexuality,
feminine "traits", homemaking, children and childrearing.
Punishing the wayward narcissist is a veritable catch-22.
A jail term is useless as a deterrent if it only serves to focus attention
on the narcissist. Being infamous is second best to being famous - and far
preferable to being ignored. The only way to effectively punish a narcissist
is to withhold narcissistic supply from him and thus to prevent him from
becoming a notorious celebrity.
Given a sufficient amount of media exposure, book contracts, talk shows,
lectures, and public attention - the narcissist may even consider the whole
grisly affair to be emotionally rewarding. To the narcissist, freedom,
wealth, social status, family, vocation - are all means to an end. And the
end is attention. If he can secure attention by being the big bad wolf - the
narcissist unhesitatingly transforms himself into one. Lord Archer, for
instance, seems to be positively basking in the media circus provoked by his
prison diaries.
The narcissist does not victimise, plunder, terrorise and abuse others in a
cold, calculating manner. He does so offhandedly, as a manifestation of his
genuine character. To be truly "guilty" one needs to intend, to deliberate,
to contemplate one's choices and then to choose one's acts. The narcissist
does none of these.
Thus, punishment breeds in him surprise, hurt and seething anger. The
narcissist is stunned by society's insistence that he should be held
accountable for his deeds and penalized accordingly. He feels wronged,
baffled, injured, the victim of bias, discrimination and injustice. He
rebels and rages.
Depending upon the pervasiveness of his magical thinking, the narcissist may
feel besieged by overwhelming powers, forces cosmic and intrinsically
ominous. He may develop compulsive rites to fend off this "bad",
unwarranted, persecutory influences.
The narcissist, very much the infantile outcome of stunted personal
development, engages in magical thinking. He feels omnipotent, that there is
nothing he couldn't do or achieve if only he sets his mind to it. He feels
omniscient - he rarely admits to ignorance and regards his intuitions and
intellect as founts of objective data.
Thus, narcissists are haughtily convinced that introspection is a more
important and more efficient (not to mention easier to accomplish) method of
obtaining knowledge than the systematic study of outside sources of
information in accordance with strict and tedious curricula. Narcissists are
"inspired" and they despise hamstrung technocrats.
To some extent, they feel omnipresent because they are either famous or
about to become famous or because their product is selling or is being
manufactured globally. Deeply immersed in their delusions of grandeur, they
firmly believe that their acts have - or will have - a great influence not
only on their firm, but on their country, or even on Mankind. Having
mastered the manipulation of their human environment - they are convinced
that they will always "get away with it". They develop hubris and a false
sense of immunity.
Narcissistic immunity is the (erroneous) feeling, harboured by the
narcissist, that he is impervious to the consequences of his actions, that
he will never be effected by the results of his own decisions, opinions,
beliefs, deeds and misdeeds, acts, inaction, or membership of certain
groups, that he is above reproach and punishment, that, magically, he is
protected and will miraculously be saved at the last moment. Hence the
audacity, simplicity, and transparency of some of the fraud and corporate
looting in the 1990's. Narcissists rarely bother to cover their traces, so
great is their disdain and conviction that they are above mortal laws and
wherewithal.
What are the sources of this unrealistic appraisal of situations and events?
The false self is a childish response to abuse and trauma. Abuse is not
limited to sexual molestation or beatings. Smothering, doting, pampering,
over-indulgence, treating the child as an extension of the parent, not
respecting the child's boundaries, and burdening the child with excessive
expectations are also forms of abuse.
The child reacts by constructing false self that is possessed of everything
it needs in order to prevail: unlimited and instantaneously available Harry
Potter-like powers and wisdom. The false self, this Superman, is indifferent
to abuse and punishment. This way, the child's true self is shielded from
the toddler's harsh reality.
This artificial, maladaptive separation between a vulnerable (but not
punishable) true self and a punishable (but invulnerable) false self is an
effective mechanism. It isolates the child from the unjust, capricious,
emotionally dangerous world that he occupies. But, at the same time, it
fosters in him a false sense of "nothing can happen to me, because I am not
here, I am not available to be punished, hence I am immune to punishment".
The comfort of false immunity is also yielded by the narcissist's sense of
entitlement. In his grandiose delusions, the narcissist is sui generis, a
gift to humanity, a precious, fragile, object. Moreover, the narcissist is
convinced both that this uniqueness is immediately discernible - and that it
gives him special rights. The narcissist feels that he is protected by some
cosmological law pertaining to "endangered species".
He is convinced that his future contribution to others - his firm, his
country, humanity - should and does exempt him from the mundane: daily
chores, boring jobs, recurrent tasks, personal exertion, orderly investment
of resources and efforts, laws and regulations, social conventions, and so
on.
The narcissist is entitled to a "special treatment": high living standards,
constant and immediate catering to his needs, the eradication of any
friction with the humdrum and the routine, an all-engulfing absolution of
his sins, fast track privileges (to higher education, or in his encounters
with bureaucracies, for instance). Punishment, trusts the narcissist, is for
ordinary people, where no great loss to humanity is involved.
Narcissists are possessed of inordinate abilities to charm, to convince, to
seduce, and to persuade. Many of them are gifted orators and intellectually
endowed. Many of them work in in politics, the media, fashion, show
business, the arts, medicine, or business, and serve as religious leaders.
By virtue of their standing in the community, their charisma, or their
ability to find the willing scapegoats, they do get exempted many times.
Having recurrently "got away with it" - they develop a theory of personal
immunity, founded upon some kind of societal and even cosmic "order" in
which certain people are above punishment.
But there is a fourth, simpler, explanation. The narcissist lacks
self-awareness. Divorced from his true self, unable to empathise (to
understand what it is like to be someone else), unwilling to constrain his
actions to cater to the feelings and needs of others - the narcissist is in
a constant dreamlike state.
To the narcissist, his life is unreal, like watching an autonomously
unfolding movie. The narcissist is a mere spectator, mildly interested,
greatly entertained at times. He does not "own" his actions. He, therefore,
cannot understand why he should be punished and when he is, he feels grossly
wronged.
So convinced is the narcissist that he is destined to great things - that he
refuses to accept setbacks, failures and punishments. He regards them as
temporary, as the outcomes of someone else's errors, as part of the future
mythology of his rise to power/brilliance/wealth/ideal love, etc. Being
punished is a diversion of his precious energy and resources from the
all-important task of fulfilling his mission in life.
The narcissist is pathologically envious of people and believes that they
are equally envious of him. He is paranoid, on guard, ready to fend off an
imminent attack. A punishment to the narcissist is a major surprise and a
nuisance but it also validates his suspicion that he is being persecuted. It
proves to him that strong forces are arrayed against him.
He tells himself that people, envious of his achievements and humiliated by
them, are out to get him. He constitutes a threat to the accepted order.
When required to pay for his misdeeds, the narcissist is always disdainful
and bitter and feels misunderstood by his inferiors.
Cooked books, corporate fraud, bending the (GAAP or other) rules, sweeping
problems under the carpet, over-promising, making grandiose claims (the
"vision thing") - are hallmarks of a narcissist in action. When social cues
and norms encourage such behaviour rather than inhibit it - in other words,
when such behaviour elicits abundant narcissistic supply - the pattern is
reinforced and become entrenched and rigid. Even when circumstances change,
the narcissist finds it difficult to adapt, shed his routines, and replace
them with new ones. He is trapped in his past success. He becomes a
swindler.
But pathological narcissism is not an isolated phenomenon. It is embedded in
our contemporary culture. The West's is a narcissistic civilization. It
upholds narcissistic values and penalizes alternative value-systems. From an
early age, children are taught to avoid self-criticism, to deceive
themselves regarding their capacities and attainments, to feel entitled, and
to exploit others.
As Lilian Katz observed in her important paper, "Distinctions between
Self-Esteem and Narcissism: Implications for Practice", published by the
Educational Resources Information Center, the line between enhancing
self-esteem and fostering narcissism is often blurred by educators and
parents.
Both Christopher Lasch in "The Culture of Narcissism" and Theodore Millon in
his books about personality disorders, singled out American society as
narcissistic. Litigiousness may be the flip side of an inane sense of
entitlement. Consumerism is built on this common and communal lie of "I can
do anything I want and possess everything I desire if I only apply myself to
it" and on the pathological envy it fosters.
Not surprisingly, narcissistic disorders are more common among men than
among women. This may be because narcissism conforms to masculine social
mores and to the prevailing ethos of capitalism. Ambition, achievements,
hierarchy, ruthlessness, drive - are both social values and narcissistic
male traits. Social thinkers like the aforementioned Lasch speculated that
modern American culture - a self-centred one - increases the rate of
incidence of the narcissistic personality disorder.
Otto Kernberg, a notable scholar of personality disorders, confirmed Lasch's
intuition: "Society can make serious psychological abnormalities, which
already exist in some percentage of the population, seem to be at least
superficially appropriate."
In their book "Personality Disorders in Modern Life", Theodore Millon and
Roger Davis state, as a matter of fact, that pathological narcissism was
once the preserve of "the royal and the wealthy" and that it "seems to have
gained prominence only in the late twentieth century". Narcissism, according
to them, may be associated with "higher levels of Maslow's hierarchy of
needs ... Individuals in less advantaged nations .. are too busy trying (to
survive) ... to be arrogant and grandiose".
They - like Lasch before them - attribute pathological narcissism to "a
society that stresses individualism and self-gratification at the expense of
community, namely the United States." They assert that the disorder is more
prevalent among certain professions with "star power" or respect. "In an
individualistic culture, the narcissist is 'God's gift to the world'. In a
collectivist society, the narcissist is 'God's gift to the collective."
Millon quotes Warren and Caponi's "The Role of Culture in the Development of
Narcissistic Personality Disorders in America, Japan and Denmark":
"Individualistic narcissistic structures of self-regard (in individualistic
societies) ... are rather self-contained and independent ... (In
collectivist cultures) narcissistic configurations of the we-self ... denote
self-esteem derived from strong identification with the reputation and honor
of the family, groups, and others in hierarchical relationships."
Still, there are malignant narcissists among subsistence farmers in Africa,
nomads in the Sinai desert, day laborers in east Europe, and intellectuals
and socialites in Manhattan. Malignant narcissism is all-pervasive and
independent of culture and society. It is true, though, that the way
pathological narcissism manifests and is experienced is dependent on the
particulars of societies and cultures.
In some cultures, it is encouraged, in others suppressed. In some societies
it is channeled against minorities - in others it is tainted with paranoia.
In collectivist societies, it may be projected onto the collective, in
individualistic societies, it is an individual's trait.
Yet, can families, organizations, ethnic groups, churches, and even whole
nations be safely described as "narcissistic" or "pathologically
self-absorbed"? Can we talk about a "corporate culture of narcissism"?
Human collectives - states, firms, households, institutions, political
parties, cliques, bands - acquire a life and a character all their own. The
longer the association or affiliation of the members, the more cohesive and
conformist the inner dynamics of the group, the more persecutory or numerous
its enemies, competitors, or adversaries, the more intensive the physical
and emotional experiences of the individuals it is comprised of, the
stronger the bonds of locale, language, and history - the more rigorous
might an assertion of a common pathology be.
Such an all-pervasive and extensive pathology manifests itself in the
behavior of each and every member. It is a defining - though often implicit
or underlying - mental structure. It has explanatory and predictive powers.
It is recurrent and invariable - a pattern of conduct melding distorted
cognition and stunted emotions. And it is often vehemently denied.

Ross-on-Wye is located on the banks of the river Wye, towards
the northern edge of the Forest of Dean.
It is well known for its market square and large number of
antique shops. You also won't go thirsty in the town as it has a
high number of pubs for you to frequent.
Market days are Thursday and Saturday, so if you want some
extra things to look at while shopping in the town, those are
the days to put in your diary.
History fans should make a point of checking out the 700 year
old St Mary's church. You won't be able to miss this historic
building the tall spire is visible from practically any
direction as you approach Ross-on-Wye.
Another ancient monument in the town is the Plague Cross. You
can find this in St Mary's church yard where it acts as a
memorial to over 300 people who died of the great plague in
1637.
Whether you choose to eat in your hotel, many of which have
restaurants, or one of the other restaurants in town, you will
have a surprisingly wide choice for such a small town. There's
even a Tibetan and Nepalese restaurant if you want to give your
taste buds a treat.
If the weather turns bad (which is always a possibility in the
UK), there is an indoor golf simulator that you can use to
improve your handicap. Children are catered for with their own
soft play area. You can also take a cruise along the River Wye,
where you can admire the scenery along the river banks.
Nearby, Symonds Yat has plenty of things to do. From working
your way around the Hedge Puzzle maze to hiring a canoe so that
you can paddle yourself along the River Wye.
For the more adventurous, there are plenty of outdoor sports
available as well as canoeing. These include the thrills and
spills of paintballing as well as horse riding, bicycle and
mountain bike hire, climbing and many other adventure sports.
The town of Ross-on-Wye also has its own mobile car racing
simulator, where you can maybe challenge work colleagues or
family members to a race.
Alternatively, you may be able to find enough time to have a
relaxing break, fishing on the side of a river.
Hereford racecourse is close by, if the timing of your visit
fits in with their meeting dates. Hereford also have a football
club if you want to watch a match.
Close to Ross-on-Wye is Clearwell Caves. These feature the
Forest of Dean's Ironing Museum and you can also treat yourself
to an underground experience in the caves themselves. The caves
are open from the middle of February to early November and they
then reopen from the start of December until Christmas Eve, so
they are almost certain to be open when you visit. It is well
worth exploring the nine caverns that make up the tour of
Clearwell Caves.
Almost next door to Ross-on-Wye is the well preserved Goodrich
Castle. This will keep adults and children well occupied as they
explore the towers and ramparts.

The "Capital of the North" is a phrase normally used to
describe Manchester.
Whether you visit Manchester for business or pleasure, there is
plenty to see and do.
1. Football
Home to the famous Manchester United as well as rival team
Manchester City, the city has plenty to offer football fans,
although if you're planning an overnight stay on the evening of
a home match, be sure to book your hotel in plenty of time so
that the other 76,000 people visiting Old Trafford don't get
there before you!
2. Nightlife
As you'd expect in a major city with a large student
population, there is plenty of nightlife available if you have
the energy. Things have changed a bit since Jimmy Savile first
welded two record decks together for one of his first DJ gigs
back in 1946. If you're into music history like this, be sure to
visit the Band on the Wall venue in Manchester's Northern
Quarter. This venue has changed with the times but has been
hosting live music since 1862.
3. Manchester Ship Canal
This is an impressive 36 mile long canal that is over 100 years
old. It turned Manchester from being landlocked into a major sea
port in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The canal is still in
private ownership but as the size of ocean going vessels has
increased over the years, its importance as a freight route has
declined, although with the modern emphasis on the user of
greener forms of transport, there is new interest in using the
canal for freight.
4. Music Venues
As you would expect from such a cultural city, Manchester has a
diverse range of music venues. There are two symphony orchestras
permanently based here as well as a chamber orchestra. Pop music
fans are catered for at the large Manchester Evening News Arena,
close to Victoria railway station. It is the largest such arena
in Europe and hosts major concerts on a regular basis.
Manchester has given rise to a large number of pop groups,
including Oasis, New Order, the Buzzcocks and The Smiths.
5. Eating Out
If you fancy a change from your hotel's menu, you can find
almost any cuisine in Manchester. There are restaurants offering
everything from traditional British meals through to the
expected Indian, Chinese, Italian, Greek and Thai menus.
Additionally, you can find Cajun, Caribbean, Japanese, Korean
and many other national cuisines. So your taste buds will be
excited whatever you choose.
6. Day Trips from Manchester
If you've got more time on your hands, there are plenty of day
trips that you can take in the surrounding area. To familiarize
yourself with the city, there are regular guided tours, run by
registered Blue Badge Guides where you'll learn fascinating
details about the city. If you or your children are interested
in science, Jodrell Bank Observatory is close by and you can
examine the Lovell Radio Telescope at first hand as well as
watch the planets and check out the exhibits in the visitor
centre.

Some call this Senior Dating, Black Dating or over the hill
dating in Baltimore.
I call it hysterical! As the owner of two online dating
websites (one for Black Singles and one for Senior Singles) AND
a black dating service (I give dating events) you would think I
could at least find some datable men. YOU would be wrong!
It had been almost two years since my husband's death before I
even considered "dating" again. The gentleman was really nice,
could hold a conversation but was not really my type. Now mind
you, my type has been all over the place so I don't have a type
per se. However, he was not "it."
That indefinable "it" that lets you know up front just how far
to take this thing. So, for me, right now I am taking everything
very slowly. Being a widow does have its advantage. One of the
advantages is it will buy me time. So even when I KNOW this is
going absolutely no where, most men have the common sense and
tact not to rush or push me. Great for me. With the slim
pickings here in Baltimore, slow is the only way to go. I have
been just friends with a man only to find out six months down
the road that I really REALLY like this guy. So my method is to
take my time, feel the gentleman out and let things unfold as
they may. But fellas Please help a sister out!
While I will admit I have been a little spoiled (my husband
dressed his self and me very well and was always slim), I am not
yet ready to deal with massive beer bellies, nose or heaven
forbid ear hairs! Nor am I willing to be seen in public with
some one who has on plaids with prints (wtf) or squeaky leather
shoes, let alone sandals with crusty feet. What is going ON?
OK so, Yes, I do judge all my friends on their character,
ability to hold a great conversation (not the one sided
conversation where he talks and I yawn), along with a good sense
of humor.
A women's erogenous zone has always been between her ears, most
women don't realize that until their innate "hotness" has worn
off. AND the man of their choice now is sporting one of those
beer bellies. To take me to dinner a few times does not
constitute an invitation to spend the night (What? You want to
stay here?) I need just a little more than that. I can assist
with the dressing as needed, but please get rid of those PLAIDS
AND PRINTS! A man who can talk and listen is what I am seeking.
A great sense of humor and adventure are always a plus. These
are truly the golden years. I can do this alone, but would
rather be with YOU!
If this is you, hit me on my website. Ladies, happy hunting and
good luck to you!

Throwback To The Psychedelic Era

Tool tickets bring together fans and influences from different
eras and for different reasons. The band is known for their
hardcore progressive rock and roll style, but their influences
range across the cutting-edge spectrum of decades from the past.
This unique meshing of style has attracted fans from all over
the world, and their concerts are renowned for their intensity
and multi-sensory experiences. A look at their history will help
explain how Tool came to be one of the biggest draws on the
music scene.
Beginnings
Tool came together in late 1989 after the band's future members
all coincidentally moved to Los Angeles for different reasons.
Bassist Paul d'Amour and guitarist Adam Jones moved to Southern
California with aspirations of getting into the film industry.
Drummer Danny Carey had always wanted to do just that, and he
began to play the drums for such acts as Carole King. The lead
singer, Maynard James Keenan, moved to Los Angeles to start a
career in interior design.
Happenstance and random introductions brought them together,
and the four men decided to jam together. They soon discovered
that their respective influences came together for a unique
sound, and they began to play in local clubs with much success.
The members' musical inspirations included such acts as Led
Zeppelin, King Crimson, Pink Floyd and Rush, among others.
Tool's early local recognition and the corresponding demand for
Tool tickets at small venues led to bigger and better things. By
1991, Tool was touring with such "name" acts as the Rollins
Band, Fishbone, and Rage Against The Machine. This publicity led
to a recording contract, and the band began to hit the studio to
produce albums.
Commercial Success
Tool released their first EP, Opiate, which was partially
inspired by a famous quote from Karl Marx. The release was a
success, but the inspiration set the stage for public
controversy that followed in subsequent years. Their first
full-length album, Undertow followed in 1993, and their sound
was instantly recognized as a powerful, heavy release that was
unlike any other music being distributed on the mainstream
market at the time.
The success of Undertow led to the band being invited to play
on the Lollapalooza tour that same year, and the band's engaging
shows led to them being moved from a side stage to the main
stage at many performances. The crowds at these shows reacted
wildly to their on-stage style, and a new "name" band was born.
Since that time, Tool has released four additional albums, and
all of them have enjoyed commercial success, as the band has
stayed true to their original sound. They have sold millions of
copies of their cuts around the world, and their name is
recognized by music fans everywhere. However, the ride hasn't
been completely smooth.
Controversy
Tool's act has drawn attention from protestors, and many of
them appear at their tour stops with picket signs chanting
slogans. The reason for this controversy is Tool's artistic
insistence on pushing the envelope with their lyrics, messages
and even their videos and album covers. Even MTV refused to play
the single entitled "Stinkfist" after it was released due to the
sexual overtones of the title.
The protestors tend to be Christians and those who oppose
Marxism, and their diligence in regards to staging these
protests is surprising. Regardless, Tool has refused to alter
their approach, and Tool tickets remain a big draw due not only
to their talent, but also to their belief in their artistic
integrity.

As a well designed website matters a lot to visitors, building
it is one of the most important things to accomplish. Having a
good, simple, and easy to navigate website always scores
credibility points for a business owner. In order to improve the
design of your website, there are several key elements that
should be evaluated.
First, your web pages should load fast. Keep in mind that not
everyone uses a fast internet connection. A great number of
Internet users still surf the Internet via dial-up modems. Do
not load your site with slow loading banners and images. Use
interlaced low-res images that have been optimized for the web.
If your website is not done loading in less than 15 seconds,
most people will leave it.
Providing quick-loading web pages show that you value your
visitors' time. If you really cannot do without music or sounds,
turn it off by default and ask visitors to start it themselves.
Doing this will prevent your web pages from slow-loading. In
addition, many people do not like to be forced to listen to
music or sounds while exploring a website because they are
already listening to their favorite music.
Besides having to prevent visitors from frustration of waiting
for the pages to load, you also need to pay attention to the
text size. Be sure the text is big enough to make it easy to
read. In addition, the background should not obscure your text.
Choose colors very carefully. If you want to be safe, use black
text on a white background. This way, someone with a color
deficit or using a black and white screen can still read your
text clearly.
Each link should also be clearly identified. Avoid relying on
applet or plug-in for navigating around your Webpages. Neatly
organized hyperlinks to different pages in your website from
home page or any other page will help your visitors to move
quickly to their destination.
Some webmasters use Flash to create cool drop-down menus. With
Flash, together with Macromedia Fireworks and Dreamweaver, it
takes less than a day for an average coder to create
professional looking web pages. However, if you take the same
route, make sure people can figure out how your Flash menu
works.
Cross-browser compatibility is another important factor that
may affect the usability of a web site. Not everyone uses
Internet Explorer on Windows. Unfortunately there are code that
will be displayed differently in Internet Explorer, Firefox and
Opera. That means it is wise to prepare your site so it will be
viewable in those popular browsers.
Evaluating screen resolutions should also be done with care. A
site that looks perfect in high resolution may turn out to be
impossible to view correctly in other resolutions. For instance,
serif fonts is more comfortable to read on paper, because serifs
help individualize each letter. However, this advantage can be
rendered useless when the fonts are viewed on computer screens,
since factors such as screen resolution can affect the clarity
of texts.
There are many factors that affect the usability and
accessibility of a web site. Tools such as WebXACT or Bobby can
help you find out how accessible your Website is. If you have a
doubt, ask your family and friends for help. Being less familiar
with the website, they can help find a lot of things you
overlooked.

THE LAWS OF LIFE: Twenty-One Universal Laws and Spiritual Truths" (from Inspirational Books)
"Our minds can shape the way a thing will be, because we act according to our expectations ...and that's why it shapes our reality."
INTRODUCTION:
Submitter's Note: Just sharing a few thoughts as I research, study and write about the human mind, spiritual principles and the Laws of Life. This article is largely based upon a chapter, "Universal Laws and Truth" from the fascinating and thought-provoking book, "The Way of the Warrior Trader" by Dr Richard D. McCall.
I believe, If we can understand these "facts of life", anyone WILL overcome negative and consequently disabling emotions, so you can achieve your full potential in life. So this is my reason for sharing (as well as "formalising, clarifying, imprinting and manifesting" these principles and thoughts - 'wise' in my "top two inches", as I do it), together with some additional points and input of my own)
Now after that long "intro", I'll share the concepts mentioned in this work with you (whew, at long last!)...
*
Here are the Twenty Universal (and Spiritual) Laws,
which I believe, are applicable in ALL areas of our lives:
1. First is the Law of ATTRACTION: When you are well grounded in your life purpose, have clarity for what you desire most, and are focused on your specific needs, the Universe (God/Life Force/Infinite Spirit) will come to your aid. People who spend time each day getting clear on what it is that they want, always will be able to get what they want.
2. The second principle is the Law of CONNECTION:
I believe every 'body' on this planet is connected in the spiritual realm. We are all spiritual beings on an earthly existence. Because we humans have the power of intellectualisation, rationality and especially in the immense power of choices - to act, to elevate our thinking and so choose our level of consciousness, which will determine our ultimate destinies. And we activate our spiritual connection through service to others, a sense of gratitude (or an attitude of abundance and especially grace), and a shared humanity.
3. The third principle is based on the Law of SOWING AND REAPING: In more modern everyday language, this may also be known as the LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT (as postulated by the Greek philosopher, Socrates). First you must give, and then you will receive. The farmer plants the seed and then reaps the rich harvest.
The Law of Attraction is also closely related to the LAW OF GRATITUDE: Have an 'attitude of gratitude' and you'll be richly blessed.
4 The Law of DUALITY (or CONTRASTS):
There is a flip side or opposite of everything. Every negative has a positive (and is accentuatated - big word - by the contrast). For instance, you can only know good, if there is evil. Light can only exist with the darkness. Good luck can only exist, if there is such a thing as having experienced bad luck. And to experience success you must know failure. Even severe adversity can have some benefit, if we adopt a positive attitude and grow from the experience. We can perhaps use our bitter experiences of the deepest hurts to help others.
Perhaps our dark times (the "dark night of the soul") are there so that we can really find joy in the bright days.
5 The Law of CYCLES:
All events occur in cycles. Professional athletes and cricketers (or baseballers for you Americans) might refer to the law of cycles as streaks ("hot").
In accepting the law of cycles, we must know how to make the most of the good streaks. And when times are bad, keep your head up and look ahead expectantly to the upcoming reversal of fortune.
6 The Law of EVOLUTION and CHANGE:
Everything evolves and changes (as pressures and the sands of life shift over time) - the ebbs and flows of life. So it is up to you to ensure you progress and move ahead; as what were once huge obstacles get, "seemingly miraculously" removed..
7 The Law of CHOICES:
The greatest aspect of the human condition, I believe is our freedom: a freedom to make choices in life: regarding where to live, occupation, how we spend our time, our leisure pursuits, who to marry, and so on. Each one of us has absolute control over the multitude of choices we make each day ...and our possibilities are unlimitëd. Stop feeling trapped by your circumstances, as you are not a victim of life. If you are feeling "negatively stuck in the deep brown stuff", make the decision to change your life and choose a brand new future. Consequently YOU have the power and freedom to control your destiny.
Linked to the above Law of Choices is:
8 The Law of RESPONSIBILITY:
You must accept the full outcomes for the various decisions (choices) you make daily.
9 The Law of INERTIA:
In physics the law of inertia states that: "An object at rest tends to stay at rest." This law is true of life as well. Action gets momentum going! The longer you procrastinate on completing that project, the longer you go without acting, the harder it will be to get started.
10 The Law of MOMENTUM:
"An object in motion tends to stay in motion." This second law of physics is again a reality of life. Once you get started, it is easier to keep going and make progress. After the decision has been made, one tiny first step gets the momentum going. You probably notice the effect of this law in action every day. Once you get out of bed (for me the hardest part) and into the showër (warm, I trust!), getting dressed, having "brekkie' and even going out the door to work ('clean and shiny') is 'a breeze'.
Done often enough (usually 21X 'they' say), an action becomes an ingrained HABIT... and good habits lead to good results and good living.
"The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step."
- ancient Chinese saying
11 The Law of SYNCHRONICITY (otherwise known as "CO-INCIDENCES"*):
* I prefer to call it 'divine order'.
This principle is closely aligned with no 1: The Law of Attraction.
You are part of the universe, not a separate entity.
We humans are all connected to a common humanity. Your actions affect those around you and determine how your life is shaped. It is important to recognize that you are inseparable from the events and situations in your life. When you see your connection to the world around you, you understand the control you have over your destiny.
N.B:
12 The Law of MANIFESTATION:
Life is like a mirror - what you put out, you'll get back even more. Put out positive energy (vibrations) and you'll attact positive results. (This too is closely aligned with Law One: the Law of Attraction).
You become what you think about the most ("then why aren't I a woman!"). Our thoughts shape our reality; so we need to learn how to SHAPE our thoughts, as the potter moulds the clay. Consequently, as the old saying goes, "Be careful what you wish for - you'll probably get it!"
"We are what we think.
All that we are arises
With our thoughts.
With our thoughts,
We make our world."
- the Buddha
"It's not what you think you are,
but what you THINK, you ARE."
- minister Norman Vincent Peale, the father of the concept 'The Power of Positive Thinking'
"Man is mind
and evermore he takes the tool of thought
and, shaping what he wills,
brings forth a thousand joys,
a thousand ills.
He thinks in secret
and it comes to pass -
Environment is but his looking glass."
- anon
Thanks so much for sharing, dad
13 ("Lucky") The Law of EXPECTATION (POSITIVE):
Always expect a favourable outcome - the best from your actions in whatever you undertake. Be an optomist seeing the glass as "half full" in all your endeavours!
14. The Law of INTENTION (good)
Do things in the right "heart and spirit" with a genuine desire (intent) of some action(s) to make some small difference in the world, otherwise sharing ideas to help others ...and you can't go wrong. (My reason for sharing this piece - "oh no, not another article from you, Craig!")
N.B.
15 The Law of PROCESS AND ACTION:
Spend more time in planning and setting goals. Then spend quiet times in reflection and contemplation to review and monitor your progress. Are you moving ahead, or do you perhaps need to "change tack" (strategy).
Manifesting what we want out of life still requires action and planning. Ask, trust, and allow the Universe's Infinite
Wisdom to send you the answers on what to do to attain our deepest desires.
BALANCE thought with decision, which leads to ACTION. Because, if you are going to move ahead in life and make the most of your potential, rather than just ponder possibilities, you will need to take some practical steps, ie. actually DO something, "Mr/Mrs/Ms Dreamer". You have to undergo the process of taking your desired goals and breaking them down into manageable parts. Plan appropriately and follow through - then through taking action on each step, it IS definitely possible to attain even your "wildest" dreams or destination.
16 The Law of HABIT:
Good habits maketh man and woman.
"Try not to become a person of success but rather try to become a person of value.
- Einstein
17. The Laws of COMMITMENT and PERSISTENCE:
When one commits fully to an endeavour, "body, heart and soul", nothing can stop you. The moment one commits fully to an enterprise, all the mysterious forces of the Universe, God, Providence, Life Force moves too - in bringing all the threads even the "tangled" ones) together, so that your most earnest desires WILL one day come to pass..
18. The Law of COMMAND:
"Thou shalt deem a thing and it shall be so."
The words we use to ourselves are vital in shaping our attitudes (mindsets). So be careful what you say to yourself (especially negative self talk/chatter); as it might just happen - it usually does! "Speak" desired events, ocurrences and outcomes "into existence".
and most importantly (saving the best for last)
19. The LAW (POWER) of BELIEF:
"All things are possible to him who believes."
- Mark 9:23
Now for a few personal thoughts on "spiritual matters" (note this is NOT religion, as I sincerely believe dogmatic and fanatical religion divides humanity and is the cause of so much conflict).
Jesus Christ understood perfectly human nature (the human condition) and the above-mentioned principles of the mind - even 2000 years ago! The teachings of Christ were psychologically correct and violate no psychological laws, though original in concept and spirit. Jesus possessed a wealth of wisdom in dealing with people's day-to-day, as well as their spiritual problems. He knew the deepest recesses of the human heart: "He knew what was in man." The very best psychiatrist!
So
*
BELIEVE in the tremendous power of BELIEF (ie. certainty): in the form of your thoughts and imagination. Use these incredible mental tools to your advantage through your amazing human mind. Sow positive energy and you'll reap positive results. If you think your life will be exciting and fulfilling, you WILL make it a reality.
"Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you HAVE received it and it will be yours."
- Mark 11:24
I believe there is a spiritual solution to any problem on this planet. One just has to think "outside the square", on another level, at/in a "higher dimension"... then one's whole perspective changes.
When stuck on what particular action to take, ASK, TRUST, and allow the Universe's Infinite Wisdom to send you the answers through the amazing power of your subconscious mind, our "doorway to God, the Ultimate Source".
and finally, the two most powerful forces in the world...
20. THE LAW OF CREATION: God is a God of Creation, which is why we've all been blessed with the amazing power of the human imagination (the way, I believe we "get divine answers from "another realm", a Higher Power. We ALL have FREE WILL: the choice to BELIEVE, or not: the FAITH to believe that your deepest desires and even wildest dreams can and WILL happen if you can just have enough FAITH.
Lastly,
N.B: THE LAW OF LOVE: It really works! Give love and you receive back far more..
The above principles, I believe, are in perfect alignment with the laws of physics and human psychology (the spiritual is just another (and 'higher') realm or dimension in which they operate). I sincerely hope these Truths (eternal) motivate, uplift and perhaps even inspire you to move ahead and achieve great success: To be all you can be and become... in your business, or whatever endeavours you may choose to embark on in your life.
Have FUN and BE happy as you "ride down the rapids of life"
Eagle Productions Books ("Incorrigible Encouragers and People-builders")
"Let the light of your BEING shine brightly;
so revealing Who You Really Are.
Be a Bringer of the Light,
which emanates from the deepest recesses of our soul, God, our Creator, the original Source, the Essence of Life
(and Ground of our very Being).
Therefore, it can do more than illuminate
your own path.
Because we are all connected (no matter where on the planet you may live),
YOUR unique spirit will help makes the lives of others easier:
By illuminating the paths of our fellow human beings down the often tumultuous journey of life.
For this torch, this beacon of light and hope is the spirit of our shared humanity, the character of God, truth, wisdom, beauty and especially love...
and I truly believe that this divine spark lies within each ONE of us. It's what we have in common.
Through your actions and your being,
let your light, YOUR unique spirit truly shine brightly on the world, like the radiance emitted by a candle at midnight."
- Craig Lock (inspired by the words of Neale Donald Walsch and the Ultimate Source).
"Be the very best person you can be with "loads of" FUN. Become the person you are CAPABLE of being ... and ALL the person God,
Our Creator intended and CALLED us to become."
"Even when your own light appears to be extinguished,
another human being may light that candle once more,
turning it someday into a bright flame... somewhere, somehow."
"When I let go of who (and what) I think I am, then I become all that I am capable of being."
- craig (as adapted and inspired from Lao Tzu)
P.S:
I love these uplifting words from Larry Chenges, so I'll share to end off this piece of writing...
"I wish you well on a rainy day
I wish you rainbows to brighten your day
To feel your quiet moments with a special kind of warmth
to remind you that happiness can happen
when you least expect it.
I wish you rainbows to make you laugh and smile
to show you the simple beauty of life
and to give you the magic of dreams come true.
I wish you rainbows
I wish you well."
- Larry S. Chenges (thanks, Larry)
I wish you well too in following your dreams and being all you were created to be.

The most valuable thing you can collect if you are selling your
book from a website when a visitor comes to your book's sales
site is not their money... it's their email address and/or other
contact information.
If you have no clue how to create a website, do not worry about
feeling intimidated. It is actually a lot easier than you think.
There is a simple site that teaches people all about creating
websites for free at www.LissaExplains.com
You can also learn a lot by doing a search for a phrase at
Google.com like "how to make a website" and "free html
tutorial." You will find tons of very good free training that
way and can learn how in no time. Anyone can learn the basics of
creating a website in just one day.
Ok, back to collecting your website visitors contact
information.
I know, I know you're probably saying... "I'm an author. I want
to write my book, sell my book and become a recognized expert.
WHY do I need to get their contact information?"
The simplest answer is: Because you will NOT become wealthy
from the sale of your book. You will become wealthy and achieve
celebrity status through the ongoing relationship you build with
your readers.
If you don't know who they are, how can you continue to keep in
touch with them and they with you.
If you're an expert on the subject and they already have your
book, don't you think they'll want MORE information and MORE
books from you?
ABSOLUTELY!
Your book makes you an expert on the subject, your interactions
and relationships will propel you to a recognized expert and
position you for long-term success not just a one-hit wonder.
The service you need to collect email and contact information
and automatically respond to the person is called an
Autoresponder.
There are paid autoresponders and free autoresponders. Normally
the free autoresponders paste their own marketing message at the
bottom of the emails you send out.
Not the best scenario, obviously, but if you want to do this
will limited or no upfront investment then a free autoresponder
service will work just fine until you start to see profits
coming from your book.
The service I use is a paid service called Aweber. It is
located at www.aweber.com
Do your own research and find a company that meets your needs.
I recommend this service because it's been around for a long
time and many of my high quality marketing friends recommend
this to their clients and wouldn't continue to do so if it was a
shoddy service.
What should you do with your autoresponder service when you get
it?
1) You should place at least 1 or 2 "sign up" boxes on your
book's sales page. You can offer an ongoing "newsletter" or
"ezine" (as it's called online). Or you can create a "special
report" related to the subject of your book and offer it free to
anyone who signs up.
The purpose of this sign up is to capture "visitor"
information. This way even if the visitor doesn't order your
book, you still have their contact information and can keep in
touch to promote your book and yourself to them on an ongoing
basis.
Maybe they won't buy your book, but because of your newsletter
or special report, they might recommend your book to family and
friends.
2) After PayPal.com and before your download page.
When looking at PayPal.com, we saw that after they took the
person's payment for your book, they would send them back to
your website.
The first page the person now a client should see is a
"register" page. This page can simply ask for their name and
email or you can have optional fields like address, phone number
etc. Obviously the more information they are willing to provide
the better for future contact with them.
This is a different list than those in #1. #1 is a list of
people who visited your book's website who may or may not have
purchased your book. These people are registered buyers.
History proves that it's far easier to get current clients to
order more from you than trying to get someone who hasn't
already ordered. Both lists are valuable but this one is the
most valuable to you for ongoing success.

Back pain has come to affect the world in a big way. These days
every other person complains about back pain. The hectic modern
day life is taking its toll. An increasing number of people in
the world have had to lose work time due to back pain.
Among the Americans below 45 years of age, back pain has become
the most common cause for a visit to the doctor. The recovery
does not take more than a week or so but the back pain gradually
starts rising in many cases. The yearly economic price of back
pain problem that the US is paying has been estimated at around
$75 billion.
However, back pain is not something insurmountable and can be
taken care of if one took due precautions. There are a few
things than one could do to reduce one's chances of suffering
from back pain.
Among the most essential things is a reduction in body weight.
So, if you are lugging a few extra pounds, it could put undue
load on your spine and become a reason for back pain in the long
run. Start as balanced diet program and take to regular physical
exercise. The extra weight would soon go away.
Another thing that you can do is strengthen the core muscles
around your spine, which include lower back muscles, abdomen and
thigh muscles.
Incorporate stretching exercises in your exercise regimen.
Stretching exercises improve one's flexibility, which prevents
sudden injuries. Hamstrings and muscles in the lower back must
be paid special attention to in this regard.
Wrong posture has been found to be a major cause of back pain.
Therefore, working on one's posture helps prevent back pain to a
great extent. So, stop slouching and stooping and while you are
sitting, sit with your back straight.
Improve your lifting technique in order to prevent injury. Do
not just stoop and lift the object. Go down, squat by the
object, hug it close to your body and come up on your feet.
That's the best way to lift the object. Even if the object is
not all that heavy, use the right way to lift because even
relatively lightweight objects have been found to injure the
back if and when lifted improperly.
In addition to the above, do stick to a regular exercise
regimen. Regular physical exercise is your best defense against
back pain. So, do not overlook its importance even if you run a
packed schedule. It pays to invest a little time oneself.

Every golfer is looking for a way to better their game, and
trying to improve their swing through trial and error make it a
frustrating game. The majority of new golfers are self-taught,
and until they take the game up seriously, it is an uphill
battle trying to even learn the basics of the golf swing. So how
does the new golfer find a short cut for a better game, without
taking the fairways apart in frustration?
In learning a new challenge, you have to take one small step at
a time. Start off with the smaller steps, or goals, and slowly
working towards the bigger goals. The game of golf has a short,
medium and big swing. Once you learn the short swing and game,
work your way up to the big swing and game. Golf is all in
finding the feel of your golf swing. This golf tip will surely
improve anyone's game, once they find the balance and feel of a
pendulum golf swing in motion. The following golf practice tip
will help you understand the golf swing and what it takes to
make it work effectively.
Place yourself around a green or a target with a 7 iron,
pitching wedge and approximately 10 to 15 golf balls. If you are
on a practice range, try and find an obstacle to go over during
the practice. It will boost your confidence on the golf course.
Step away from the golf balls and practice short swings with
your feet together glancing at your attended target. Do not
attempt to hit a golf ball until you feel comfortable with your
short swing. If you must, hit one golf ball with your desired
club to find and feel the distance for your attended target. Use
very little wrist action on the take-away and follow through
creating a v shape with the arms. Try to find and feel the
pendulum motion of the golf club by grazing the grass, as you
swing away glancing at the attended target.
Your goal is to find and feel the pendulum motion of the golf
club making contact with the ball with your feet together. You
will notice how your upper portion of the body will
automatically coil on it's own, and you lower body will move in
unison with your upper body. Once you find the pendulum feeling
of the golf club and swing, take a bigger swing. Gradually learn
to sweep the grass with a quarter, half, three quarter and a
full swing. You will notice yourself losing balance as you take
fuller swings, and have to gradually move your feet apart until
you find a balanced comfort zone.
With enough practice and effort, your golf score will improve
dramatically with the knowledge of what it takes to make a ball
bounce off the face of a golf club with a pendulum motion of the
golf swing, once you find the balance and feel of a short swing
and game. Practicing this golf tip frequently will also help in
choosing the right club and swing, for distance in your short
game.
