Have you ever been to a concert and been wowed by the
impressive displays of lighting that seem to enhance the mood of
the music being played? Indoor and outdoor concert lighting both
make use of subtleties in order to highlight the band playing
without being too overwhelming.

If you are looking for something new to do with your
landscaping, then try to apply concert lighting outdoors in
order to illuminate parts of your yard.

Light from the Back

While lighting in traditional theater usually comes from the
front, with big floodlights and spotlights providing
illumination to see the action, your outdoor concert lighting
should come more from behind what you're trying to illuminate.
Concert lighting is more to establish mood and identity than
eliminate, and by putting your lighting in the rear and
illuminating from behind, you will create more interesting plays
of light and shadow.

Decide Who Your Star Is

Just as most bands have a leader in their group; your outdoor
concert lighting ensemble should have someone who takes center
stage, so to speak. Decide what that centerpiece is going to be,
whether it's a decorative fountain, your prize rosebush, or a
clump of well-tended flowers. Among all the parts of the
landscape you're trying to illuminate, this centerpiece alone
should be the only one to have any lighting come from the front,
your one exception to the rule of lighting from the back.

Use Color

If you think about businesses and gardens with stunning
landscaping or outdoor lighting, you'll realize that the sort of
display made was probably not just of light, but of color as
well. Your outdoor lighting, like in concert lighting, should
involve a little color. This is a lot easier to accomplish these
days since outdoor lighting is available with LED displays,
which can easily and cheaply provide color to what you're trying
to illuminate.

Use Variety and Simplicity

For a varied and stunning display, use different and
complementary colors for your back lights than for what you use
to illuminate the centerpiece of your display. As mentioned
already, your outdoor concert lighting should set the mood as
well as illuminate. As such, don't fall into the trap of
providing too much.

Again, part of the reason to use color and backlighting is to
set mood. If you illuminate too much, you create glare, which
will make your display too bright to look at when it's dark out,
which is what you're trying to avoid. By following these basic
steps, you will have a great outdoor concert lighting display to
highlight some of your best landscaping.

Dog Days
I found a rugged quartz crystal in our garden yesterday and
brought it to my writing table, to gaze at its beauty and
reveal its mystery as I write, like gazing into a crystal
ball.

The five crystals in the center of it are perfect, in their
own wild way, like the days I spent in total conflict with
myself, with society and the world.

It brings to mind one of my favorite Alphia stories, my
golden German Shepard Collie of the 1960's, the pre-Funk
commune years, occurring several months after the communal
caravan arrived in San Francisco.

We found our large Victorian house after several weeks of
illegal camping around the jagged Pacific shore hideaways
and in the many untamed parks for which the city is famous.

The caravan people had remained disgruntled in spite of the
constant dog/God guidance surrounding us.

A chasm developed between those who wanted to join the
ranks of the work-a-day world, and the four of us who went
on to establish the Funky Farm community and knew that
going to work was antithetical to living creatively by the
seat of our pants.

I had come to a place within myself where I needed to live
outside of the mainstream, established 9-5 ho-hum I'm
beaten down, kill me now style of existence I imagined my
father ascribing to for his thirty-five working years, at
the same place, doing the same job, everyday. I'd think of
an exhilarating alternative, bet on that.

My life as a rip off artist now began in earnest.

One day, I took Alphia Lee for a walk in Golden Gate park.
A squirrel distracted her from the beloved stick, and damn
it if she didn't run in front of a fast moving car. She
crawled back to the side of the road.

I remember crying and kneeling beside her, going over her
body, getting a sense of how badly she was hurt. A car
pulled over and a young man asked to take me where ever I
wished to go.

He had an old blanket and we carefully laid her on it.

Then he drove Alphia and me to the big rambling Victorian
house that was our temporary abode.

We prepared a bed for her with old blankets and rags.

She'd look at us with a forlorn Muki eye, the dog who
joined me 28 years later to show me true love.

That look inspired me to slip into the meat department of a
local Safeway, and steal one steak a day for her, and for
her only.

Then we'd sit with her for hours, stroking her neck and
body and encouraging her to come back to us.

The long intimate times we spent with her were patient and
happy. We did not desperately plead with her to live rather
than die. Rather, we coaxed her gently, showing her our
love, and gave her the great option of living with a
handful of rogues completely alienated from society.

She opted to spend a few more years with us in our
experiment of living--dangerously.

Rape Victim Has Message For All Nurses and Doctors
I have been a practicing nurse for 24 years. In that time,
I have had many patients who have been sexually abused.

Recently, I received a story from a friend, who wishes to
remain anonymous.

She believes that health care professionals do not listen
to the needs of those patients who have been raped.

The question was raised in my mind: Do we really listen to
any of our patients?

May the following story remind us to "listen."

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I am a victim from childhood rape. I stay away from
doctor's offices as much as I possibly can.

A trip to the hospital is out of the question. I found a
dentist who "gets it" and simply knocks me out.

My medical doctors do the same.

But it is very very difficult to make the medical
profession hear all that.

The big problem for me with the medical and dental
community is that everyone thinks they can help me get
past my fears. If that could be done, it would have been
done long ago.

This is not rational fear, and it is not born of ignorance.

What I go through is Post Traumatic Stress and I can't do
anything to stop my reactions.

The biggest issue is the dern "down their nose" attitude.
One nurse in the hospital one time (I was there for tummy
problems, and knew the nurse from the nursing home, but she
had forgotten me).

She came in and very "down her nose" said to me "Mrs. Z,
are you under any unusual stress?" I wanted to pop her one.

I said, "well, yes, I am. I direct five counties of
volunteers for the United Way, I have two teenage children
and my husband is blind and is a trucker. I'd say I am a
bit stressed."

She left me alone after that.

The overall attitude of the medical community is "get over
it." And I have been treated psychologically by the best.

I have led a good life. I have two beautiful adult kids,
both happy productive members of society.

The only two things I cannot do without great difficulty
are medical and dental. I have been told by therapists that
those two things probably will never resolve.

I am a senior citizen now and all of that was very long ago.

So what do I want? I had a perfect doctor one time, who was
an older fellow, who did not have to touch me to treat me.
He did everything by running blood work, etc. (Needles are
not my favorite thing, but I am not terrified of them and
can do that relatively easy).

But he took the time to listen to me tell him what I could
and could not do, and he worked with me from there. Sadly,
he has now left town.

One more story.

One time I had to have a stress test and EKG, a horrid
experience for me to try to get through. My doctor had
talked to the heart doc and explained, but when I got to
the office, somehow the tech had not gotten the message.

And oh, it was bad, very bad. I never even entered the
room. She and I had serious words before I ever got back
there.

When I realized the doctor wasn't there and hadn't said
anything to her about me, I said, "Well, you are going to
have to work with me on this."

(I started out smiling and pleasant as I could be with my
anxiety so high.)

She said, "You are the one who has to cooperate with ME!".

I left.

Office staff chased me to the car to sign a dang release.
It was a big scene. I went straight to my doctor's office
and we rescheduled at the hospital, where the nurse /tech
and staff were all aware, let me be in charge, and we did
it my way and it all worked out just fine.

It's all about listening and being heard. I don't want some
big emotional event, for me or for the staff. But I do know
what I can tolerate and what I cannot. Most of them just
simply do not take the time to listen and do not want to
deal with anybody who has special needs. When I had
gallbladder surgery, I talked very bluntly and directly
with the anesthesiologist beforehand, and briefly told him
my story and my needs. I had two special requests:

1) - I wanted to bring earphones and tape player to listen
to angel music while in that holding room.

2) - I did not want to see or hear anything. Nothing.
Especially not see any silver equipment, etc. I wanted to
be out long before I ever left that holding room.

He heard me and he was agreeable.

I was not afraid of the surgery. I trusted the surgeon
totally. I was afraid I would see something that would set
me off.

Silver things do that (medical equipment).

No, I was not raped by medical people but they had to
repair the damage of my 6 year old self with sterile metal
tools.

When he came in, he could tell I was upset.

"Where is your tape player and earphones?"

Me: "Well, they would not let me bring that back here".

He ran out of the room.

He was livid, and came back quickly with my earphones and
my little tape player full of angel music.

All was well. The surgery was a success!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Thank you, my friend for sharing what must be a difficult
story for you to tell.

However if it helps our profession to "get it," then you
have served a great purpose.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
We have, in this country, a tradition of leadership that aims
to appeal both to the intelligence of the 'common man', and also
to the heart within each person that assesses character and that
decides upon voting behavior. For most people, such decisions
are not just based on the ideas and issues that candidates
present, but also on the integrity, depth, and commitment that a
candidate brings to these ideas and issues.

With the increased use of television to create a forum for
public debate and discourse, the capacity to assess matters with
one's heart is both made easier and more difficult. For the
television format is often not one that lends itself to the
revelation of depth of character. Often, television formats
allow for brief sound-bites in which well-polished phrases are
all that can fit in to the allotted time, and these must be
quick to grasp, easy to remember, but not necessarily revealing
at a deeper level.

As actors on a television stage, there are those who come
before us who speak well, yet who operate more on the surface of
themselves with less true feeling but a greater ability to
create a convincing presentation within a short period of time.
There are others who use fewer words, who actually mean more.
While it is true that public speaking is a matter of political
skill that all who seek public office must acquire, it is also a
matter of character and of the heart.

The American public is always listening for what the heart
says. It is not only listening to words. And so candidates who
seek to cover errors in past judgment, or shortcomings in
present capacities, with facile political phrases, may become
transparent before a public that is listening with its heart.

Sometimes, however, voices are deceptive, and the heart can
make a mistake about what it is hearing. Sometimes, the display
of knowledge or verbal skill can appeal to the mind with such
force that it can override the listening of the heart. It can
override the capacity of the heart to judge the inner integrity
of a speaker.

When this happens, it is a sad state of affairs both for the
public and for the future functioning of government. For a
government that cannot stand on the basis of its own integrity
and character, a government that uses fancy words to placate the
minds of people but does not act out of its own heart, cannot
truly represent a people that seeks to better its own conditions
in life.

We must be careful, therefore, in America, to not be seduced by
words. To not be seduced by the intellect that appears to speak
with facility and knowledge, but lacks the heart to support the
words when it comes to actual practice. This carefulness does
not mean ruling out the use of the mind to evaluate positions or
views that matter. But it does mean not being seduced by words
or by the sweep of words which may cover other lacks.

America's heart is her most valuable possession. It is the
center of her spiritual existence. In the midst of heated debate
over campaign issues, it is important to be able to listen with
our hearts in order to know, and feel, and judge according to a
deeper measure of truth.

When we do this and to the extent that we do this, we will
elect public servants who truly serve in the name of all, and we
will put in place a government that cares for the interests of
all. In this way, the heart of America will become its
leadership, and the heart of its people, the content and measure
of its government and policy.

spiritual principles that lie at the heart of America can be

one can contribute significantly to this year's electoral

================== ARTICLE START ==================
As marriages go through their ups and downs it is not always as
easy to focus on the good times as it is the struggles. We
develop expectations of our spouse over time and when we feel
let down it typically stands out more than the positive aspects
of our relationship. This becomes particularly true in failing
marriages. As our daily interactions become more filled with
conflict than agreement it can feel as though you are heading
down the road to divorce.

The first step in salvaging a troubled marriage is to remind
yourself what you are working towards. Take a mental inventory
of the positives in your relationship, even if you do not
experience them on a daily basis. You need to clearly define
what it is about your spouse that made you fall in love in the
beginning. When the going gets tough (which it will) you will be
able to look back at these positives for inspiration.

Perhaps the toughest part of mending your relationship is
confronting the issues. While it is easy to try and ignore you
problems in hopes that they will go away, if you don't bring the
issues out into the open then it will be difficult to attack
them. You can begin this step by simply asking your spouse what
changes they would like to see in your lives. Be sure to listen
first and be open to their opinions.

Once the source of your problems has been identified, it is
time to examine your options. Ask yourself if there are things
you can do right now to change your situation. This might
include some sacrifices on your part, and you may have to make
some difficult decisions. The key is to be willing to act first
so that you show your partner how serious you are about fixing
things.

There are other important elements to a successful marriage
beyond just solving conflict. Romance and passion often gets
lost in the daily routine of work and maintaining a household.
However, if you are going to save your failing marriage then you
have to rebuild the natural attraction between you and your
partner. This means coming up with creative ideas for bringing
you closer together. Surprise dates, passionate surprises, and
even vacations are a great way to reignite these feelings.

The final step in your resolving your differences involves
being honest. It can be difficult to communicate with each other
when tensions are high, but it is important to stay on the same
page. Share your feelings and ideas with your partner through
the healing process. Let them know how much they men to you and
offer your goals for the future. Honesty is about being open and
truthful, and this will help support the trust your spouse has
in you.

Saving a failing marriage does take dedication and work, but if
you truly love your partner then there is no reason it can't be
achieved. By bringing your differences out into the open and
making changes to your daily routine, you can effectively break
down the barriers between you. If you always remember what you
are working towards then the hard times will be much easier to
deal with.

Article Title: There Is Nothing Passive About Passive Income!

Wikipedia defines passive income as the following:

There are three types of income—earned, portfolio and passive
income. Most types of passive income are derived from
rental/property, while other types of passive income are derived
from royalties from patents or license agreements.

An income stream falling into this category is one where money
is received usually on a regular basis, without continuing
effort. This does not mean no effort at all; most passive income
streams require great effort to start with.

Passive Activity Income- is defined to include all income
generated from rental real estate investments-- regardless of
how active the investor is in managing the property or
properties.(Real Estate Principles A Value Approach 2nd edition
pg.519)

Examples of Passive Income

* Income from rental property
* Royalties from writing a book.
* Earnings from Network Marketing

I don't know about you but that seems like alot of work for
something that is supposed to be passive. So when you see the
ads for passive income think about the examples listed above.

Lets look at the examples of passive income listed.

Income from rental property:

Ok this is one we've all heard about. You buy a house or
inherit a house or a number of other ways and decide to generate
some passive income by renting the house and collecting the
residuals which are hopefully more than the payments and other
financial obligations you have for the house. Once all your
obligations are met with respect to conforming to all regulatory
statutes you find a renter and start collecting your monthly
rent checks, if you are lucky. More times than not the rent
checks are late, the plumbing needs to be fixed and the roof is
leaking. These are a small example of things that can and will
go wrong with a rental property. Passive income? Hardly!

Royalties from writing a book:

Well if you have the patience, knowledge and time to actually
write something that someone is willing to pay you for, then by
all means go ahead and do it. Perhaps two years to write the
book, another year to actually get someone to publish the book
and then of course you need someone to buy the book. But once
this happens yup, you guessed it passive income. Most of us
can't wait that long and don't really know enough about any one
subject to dedicate that much time to wait for the passive
income. Passive income? Eventually!

Earnings from network marketing:

Now network marketing is not new but it is certainly gaining
notoriety among the online business crowd. Online network
marketing is a popular venue for those interested in starting a
home based business but don't want the costs associated with the
old "Brick and Mortar" approach to financial freedom. But before
you can get to the point where you are generating passive income
there are steps which need to be taken to help insure your
success. You must first have a product to sell or someone else's
product to sell, ie:(affiliate marketing). You need the right
tools and business model to emulate in order to place the odds
of succeeding in your favor. You need startup capital for all
your advertising needs and web hosting accounts. Unless you are
proficient at web authoring you will need the aid of a
programmer to get you that fancy website which you hope will
make you a small fortune. These, along with other necessities ,
(which is out of the scope of this article), are necessary for
this to qualify as passive income. However, there are systems
that can be setup for you which will take alot of the guesswork
out of starting from scratch. Passive income? Done right it
could be!

Offering something for free is a tried and true method for
getting those webmasters who are ready to take the step and
become involved in the affiliate marketing business, and offer
them not only resources which are plentiful on the `Net, but to
also help with the basic advertising setup. Affiliate marketers
benefit from free e-books in a plethora of ways! If you consider
that one of the most important aspects of successful
participation in such a program is the methodology of driving
visitors to your site and then in turn have these visitors visit
your affiliated sites and make purchases so that you will earn
money, it is not surprising that you will stand to profit
reading the tips and tricks frequently offered in a free e-book.

Sure, there is a lot of common sense advice found in these
e-books, yet this advice is put together in such a way that it
will not only make logical sense but also help you to perhaps
devise a step by step approach that may promise success in your
endeavor. Interestingly, while there Internet is home to a
staggering number of affiliate program resources, these free
e-books are a draw to many a website that simply cannot be
underestimated!

Thus, affiliate marketers benefit from free e-books in many
more ways, such as not only by reading the content, but also by
association. Imagine not only learning potentially new ways of
making money but also creating a draw to your own website where
you may teach others the same thing by becoming affiliated with
the free e-book distributor. The word "free" has the kind of
ring that hardly any Internet surfer can resist and it is not
surprising that even as you will not make money from selling
this e-book, its appeal is sure to create stickiness to your
site that may get your link emailed about and also put into the
favorite's lists of many users.

If you have a way of including more than one kind of free
e-book on your site, you may find that the fact that one size of
marketing fits all notions have gone out the window may actually
make you into somewhat of an export just by virtue of
association. In some ways you might even offer a virtual
bookshelf where you may offer tips, advice, marketing help, and
overall info for anyone who wants to work with a cornucopia of
sites, online malls, stores, and products. Even as you may not
have considered it, you may benefit from your newfound status of
virtual expert by increasing your search engine ranking and thus
your primary source of income will also receive top billing.

Affiliate marketers who do not hesitate to take advantage of
the e-book craze and who understand the power of the word "free"
also understand that reevaluating content on a consistent basis
is a key component to maximizing the impact. Remember that
cutting edge materials interspersed with tried and true popular
items are a surefire way of attracting the most visitors to your
site!

If you employed people including managers to run every aspect
of your business would you still be in profits? If you answered
yes, then you passed the first test of being a viable business
for the longer term.

1st Test of Viability

Most businesses make or show a little profit mainly because
their owner and founder is working a 90 hour week and taking out
very little. Will your business still make profits if you
removed yourself from the equation and paid proper salaries to
your managers?

Business is all about making money. It is great to be in a
business that you love, but if the money isn't pouring in by
year 3 then it is definitely time to look at other ideas.

2nd Test of Viability

Can you sell it? If you have a business model that can only
work if the buyer has a lot of specialised knowledge then it is
going to be difficult to sell.

If the reason for the profitability is all in your head and
hard to duplicate then it is really not viable for any
purchaser. Speak to your accountant and find out how easy or
difficult it would be to sell your business.

3rd Test of Viability

Is the marketplace for your products declining? Is the
competition getting fiercer by the day? If you have a small
business then perhaps you can get away with being in a
declining, mature and competitive market. However if you control
a larger company then it is time to start diversifying and enter
a market place that is also viable for the longer term.

Starting a New Business?

If you are thinking about starting a new business the first
step in evaluating your business idea is to create a business
plan. This is the first step in working out if your business
idea would pass the viability test of your accountant and bank
mangers.

You will need to ask yourself some key questions like:

What size of premises do you need initially?

How many staff will be required in the first year?

How much money will you require to inject in the business?

How will you raise extra funding?

What are the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors?

What qualities to do you bring to the business?

The more detailed your business plan is the more likely you are
to raise funding. Remember that the banks do not get a share of
the profits but instead make small margins by charging you
interest and bank charges.

They do not care if you stand to make a fortune. They are
mostly concerned with your ability to repay the loan and
therefore your business idea must be viable and make economic
sense.

They will also evaluate you as a person to see if you have the
qualities required to take your idea from paper and turn it into
reality. You will need to demonstrate that you have the required
knowledge to enter the market place and if required the right
people for the key positions like sales and marketing.

As you can see there is a lot of preparation work required
before you even approach the banks.

Thoughts Are Living Entities
The words we speak and think inform the reality we
experience every day.

We create our lives by the thoughts that we think.

I've heard people say: "But I can't control all of the
unconscious thoughts swirling around my mind."

But we can be conscious and deliberate about the words we
say, the thoughts we think.

For instance, I know that all of us work with one infinite
power. We access this power by slowing down, meditating and
by performing creative acts.

By accessing this power, you can be sure that any
experience you have will be seen through a more loving lens.

When you choose your thoughts carefully, deliberately and
with great awareness, you become a conscious creator.

You realize that the thoughts you think become the
masterpiece--or the ruinous disaster, depending on whether
you are focusing on the positive or the negative--of your
life.

Even the seemingly negative experiences reap great rewards,
if we look for them.

The trick is to pin-point the feelings that provide you
with good, hopeful and inspired vibrations. The thoughts
that bring about good feelings means you are on the track
of manifesting a beautiful life.

Whatever it is that you are feeling is the perfect
reflection of what is about to surface as your three
dimensional experience.

You get exactly what you are feeling and what you are
thinking about.

Happy feelings will attract more light hearted happiness
into your life, for instance.

The universe will respond to the nature of your song.

Shift your awareness to the One Infinite Power that flows
unseen through everything.

Say: "I feel good (God/ess)" several times an hour. Your
emotions will change for the better the more you are able
to convince yourself.

You can also change your emotions more immediately by
thinking of something joyful, by singing a song you love,
by remembering a happy experience, by looking into the eyes
of a new born babe.

Say, "I am so happy and grateful now that______;" and you
complete the sentence.

You will then be inspired by an idea that will seemingly
provide you with the missing piece of a mystery, or the
answer to a question you may have.

When the impulse arises to act, do not hesitate.

The acted upon inspiration creates more inspiration and
soon you are moving towards exactly what you want.

The Universe will provide exactly what you require. Pay
attention to what is set before you and appreciate it.

Practice gratitude for everything in your life.

What you think and thank about is what you bring about.

What are you grateful for? Feel the gratitude. Play the
picture in your mind. Focus on the end result.

Rehearse the future while thoroughly enjoying the present
moment.

Your job is not to worry about "the how." The How will show
up out of the commitment and belief in "the what."

Turn the How over to the universe, that great and infinite
benevolent power.

Turn it over many times throughout your day. This is where
the magic and miracles happen.

Remember to feel exhilarated, high, happy and in tune.
Habituate this attitude into your way of life.

People with habituated ways of being in the flow remember
to think happy and conscious thoughts.

Decide what you want. Believe you can have it. Believe you
deserve it. Believe it is possible for you.

Set a goal so high so that when you achieve it, it will
blow your mind.

When you have an inspired thought, trust it, relinquish all
doubt, and act on it.

In all of your relationships, treat your self the way you
want others to treat you.

Love yourself and you will be loved.

Have only the healthiest respect for yourself.

Write down all the positive aspects of the people in your
life who push your buttons. Write down the things you most
like about them, without expecting them to change, without
expecting them in any way to contribute to your happiness.

When you realize your potential to feel good, you will ask
no one to be different in order for you to be happy.

You will be free of the cumbersome impossibility of needing
to control your world, your friends, your mate, your
children.

In health matters, believe in your immune system's ability
to heal your body. See yourself in a new body. Hope hastens
recovery.

Happiness produces a happier biochemistry.

Systematically remove all stressful attitudes. Learn to
settle into quiet, stillness and peace. When the voice and
vision on the inside becomes more profound, and these are
clearer than the opinions of the outside world, then you
have mastered your life.

You no longer feel the need to manipulate the world to be
as you think it ought to be. You are here to create the
world around you and align it with your highest destiny.

Choose the world of your creation and allow others to
choose the world they choose to see, even if you are
saddened by it.

The universe is inherently abundant. There is more than
enough love, creative ideas, power, joy and happiness to go
around once, twice and forever.

The more love you consciously generate, the more the love
will grow.

All of this abundance shines through a mind that is aware
of its own infinite nature.

There is enough for everyone.

See it.

Believe it.

Write the script of your life. When you see things you
don't want to see, don't think about them, write about
them, talk about them, push against them, or join groups
which focus on that which is lacking.

Are your thoughts worthy of you? If not, NOW is the time to
change them. Begin right here, right now.

This moment is all that matters.

Focus attention intentionally on your happiness, gratitude
and on the guardian angels that protect and guide every one
of us.

You are in the palm of a loving God/ess.

Introduction To "Save Our Nurses"
The nursing profession will reach a critical impasse when
the baby boomers retire.

In the meantime, I asked the people on my newsletter list
to tell me what they considered to be the number one
problem facing their work lives as Registered Nurses.

One woman told me she worries about being hit, punched and
scratched by a patient. Apparently her best friend was
injured and had to leave the nursing profession as a result.

Another said the retention of experienced nurses was a
problem. This problem will grow exponentially with Baby
Boomer retirement.

Another said over work. Others said disrespect. One person
cited conflicts between nurses and doctors involving
hierarchical attitudes with doctors treating nurses as
second class citizens if not down right servants to their
every need.

Then I received communication from Annette Tersigni,
otherwise known as Yoga Nurse. She describes in the
following post what I know to be the true solution to all
our problems and challenges: that when we relax, calm down,
nurture and develop a spiritual tool chest whereby we pause
and choose the best tool to meet and greet every challenge,
then we persevere, overcome and experience pure joy in our
lives.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I just read the comments about nursing care on the Heal
Naturally Ning. All of your stories and sharing are a
representation of nursing across the board.

I have worked in Canada and the USA and it is the same
story everywhere. I teach wellness programs, stress
management and yoga to nurses and other caregivers at my
little local hospital.

There are multiple reasons for improper care. A nurse
called in sick almost every shift when I worked on the
cardiac unit a few years ago. Naturally we were working
with a skeleton crew. Quite frankly it's a miracle that
there isn't MORE that goes wrong on any given shift. It is
by the grace of GOD/ESS, spirit, angels that we nurses and
our patients are carried to safety the vast majority of the
time.

Every night when I walked onto the floor, I spoke my mantra
prayer as I entered the hospital "to do no harm."

I worked with nurses who have been showing up for 12 -13
hour shifts for 25-30 years! They were all on multiple
medications for blood pressure, cholesterol, depression,
anxiety and--and--and--they did an excellent job!

I was fortunate to work with brilliant staff who really
tried to provide excellence. Yet even with this there are
some who are just plain burnt out and show up because they
have no other choice to pay the bills.

As an advocate for nurses and helping them with wellness on
the job to increase morale above all, I often heard nurses
say to me:

"THIS JOB IS KILLING ME AND I'D KILL TO GET OFF THE FLOOR."

I took this to management to advocate for nursing staff but
management is concerned with the bottom line. When the days
come that the bottom falls out of nursing because there
will be no more nurses to do this damn hard job: Only then
will the powers that be wake up.

Let's see how we manage with out nurses, because the entire
health care system will collapse without them

I believe change can only happen on the level of
"consciousness." It is my work as a nurse/healer/educator
to do just that. To help the nurses to REMEMBER, to fill
their cups, to come home to the inner nurse within, to the
divine inner therapist that cleanses, purifies and makes
whole.

I bow to all the nurses. As we like to say in the South:
God bless (bliss) y'all.

Annette Tersigni

Spirituality is a way of life where you immerse your
consciousness in a power greater than yourself be-it
God/ess, nature, animals, Buddha, Krishna and/or Jesus or
Christ Consciousness.

The key is to imagine your spiritual tool chest. Let's say
you practice meditation, Ho'oponopono, yoga, mindfulness
awareness which is living in the present moment.

Consciously put these into the beautiful box or chest you
imagine for yourself.

With great mindful awareness, choose which tool to use for
any and every seemingly unsurmountable dilemma.

Use it.

Open yourself to all possibilities.

Call on the angels.

Relax into the infinite for positive solutions.

Each of the chapters in this book shows examples of the
tools you can use in your line of work.

Enlarge on them. Create new ones, pull out the tools that
lay dormant and now pull at you for revitalization.

The time is now. In-Joy it.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
We would all love to look like Sophia Loern, Lauren Bacall or
some other glamorous Hollywood star as we approach our older
years. Who wouldn't like to be in great shape and keep our good
looks, while still retaining that youthful complexion into our
older years?

However, these types of people spend a lot of money as well as
time, to take care of their appearance; their careers depend on
it. They understand that it takes time, effort and money to
portray a healthy appearance. On the other hand, if we just
leave our bodies to take care of themselves, chances are, we're
likely to right into some problems sooner or later. Aging skin,
sagging muscles along with a bland complexion are unwanted signs
of aging, which can easily creep up on us over a short period of
time.

Anti aging and wellness go hand in hand with each other. If we
invest the time and the effort into our health and appearance,
then we will be able to reap the benefits over the long-term.

Keeping Yourself Active

Your first step should be to exercise and be active on a daily
basis. Do something physical every day if you can. Even just
walking for an hour a day can do wonders for you over the
long-term. You don't have to run marathons or swim miles every
day at your local pool, but a moderate amount of exercise is
crucial in keeping you fit and healthy. Ideally, some weight
training along with some cardiovascular exercise will help keep
your muscles and joints supple and your cardiovascular system
healthy.

An excellent way to fit exercise into your daily routine is to
think about what you do you each day and then makes some small
changes to that routine. For example, instead of driving to work
could you walk? For lunch, how about a quick 40 minute workout
in the gym? Perhaps you could hop off the bus a few stops
earlier and walk the rest of the way to work. How about taking
the stairs instead of the elevator.

Good Food, Good Health

The long-term benefits of regular exercise on anti aging and
wellness are tremendous, but there are other ways you can stay
looking younger for longer and enjoy your later years even more.

It's true that you are what you eat. Imagine your car trying to
run smoothly if you were to pump in substandard fuel. And yet,
this is what we do with our bodies almost every day.

It's really no secret at all that to achieve long-term success,
eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables will help a lot.
Stay away from processed foods and fast foods at all costs if
possible. Just these two steps will help you towards a healthier
and longer future.

And lastly, try to take care of their complexion every day. Use
a good cleanser, toner and moisturizer every morning and night.
This will help you get rid of the toxins that build up
throughout the day

If you implement these small changes every day, your body and
appearance will thank you over the long term.

Marketing to customers via mobile phones has come on in leaps
and bounds. Finally the mainstream marketers who promote the
largest firms in the world have cottoned onto mobile marketing,
which is a sure sign that it has come of age. The development of
Short Message Service SMS technology, or text messaging as the
technique is more commonly known, has advanced dramatically in
recent years. This has allowed SMS to dovetail with other
computerized technology and making test messages easily
distributed and monitored. SMS communications now form part of
most major marketing drives.

Mobile marketing had its origins early this century in Europe
where businesses started to build lists of mobile phone numbers
and send text plugs to offer various products. The service was
often abused. This has since become better controlled and
refined. Certain protocols are in place in most of the worlds
leading economies to limit the flood of text messages to private
mobile phones.

It is true to say that SMS has entered the mainstream as an
advertising medium because of the flexibility it offers to
advertisers. While email goes out over the public internet,
mobile text messages are distributed via a wireless service.
This has given advertisers who are using the system the
opportunity to initiate ways to track of the sort of
advertisements that are going out over their networks. Also
there are several agencies concerned with mobile marketing. Two
of these are the Interactive Advertising Bureau and the Mobile
Marketing Association. MMA. Part of their task has been to set
parameters for the industry.

In the beginning mobile marketing was negatively received by
the media. This was due to its vulnerability to spam text
messages. Admittedly many advertisers blemished the name of the
medium. They employed the classic spam techniques, such as
buying lists of mobile numbers and sending unwanted messages to
tens of thousands of mobile phones. Once regulatory guidelines
were put in place, however, mobile marketing matured and became
popular with advertisers and acceptable to mobile phone owners.
According to the experts, over 100 million SMSs marketing
various products are sent to mobiles every month.

Mobile marketing has reached maturity over the past few years.
The main reason has been that businesses are devoting a large
portion of their direct advertising budgets to this form of
advertising. Because companies regard mobile texting as a
valuable investment, they are keen not to see the system abused.
An important reason for businesses using mobile marketing is
that customers are increasingly asked permission to have SMS
sent to their phones.

Mobile operators are even putting in place double opt in
measures so that consumers are very sure they want to receive
text messages. In addition, consumers are able to opt out of the
service whenever they wish by SMSing the word STOP to the sender
of the message. Advertisers and mobile operators now follow the
guidelines that are present in the MMA Consumer Best Practices
Guidelines. All mobile marketers in the US are obliged to comply
with these guidelines.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
A laptop, also called a notebook, is a small mobile computer.
Depending on the size, material used for manufacturing it and
other factors, its weight ranges from 1 to 8 kilograms (i.e. 2
to 18 pounds).

The source of power is usually a single main battery, or an
external AC/DC adapter is used. Apart from supplying power to
the laptop, it also charges the battery. To avoid havoc in case
of power failure, a 3 Volt cell is provided to run the clock and
other vital system processes.

Though laptops are equally capable and powerful as desktop
computers, they are much more expensive than similar capability
and configuration desktop computer. Size is the unique property
of a laptop. The components used in both, laptops and desktops
are the same in terms of the functions they perform, but the
components in laptops are miniaturized and made to support
efficient power consumption.

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is usually the technology used for
the display screen. They have a built-in keyboard and a touchpad
as input devices. Provision is also made for connection of
external mouse, and even keyboard.

Apart from the advantages like compactness and mobility, a set
of disadvantages has also been associated with laptops.

A huge amount of discrepancy is observed when it comes to
standardization issues of laptops. There exist worldwide
standards for form factors of the peripherals and add-in PC
cards used in a desktop computer. But no such standards are as
yet enforced for form factors of laptop internals. Electric
voltage, motherboard layouts, internal adapters used in
connecting the hard disk, optical drive, LCD cable, keyboard and
floppy drive to the main board, all still face issues with
standardization. These hits hard on the poor user who is
uneducated in this relevant field. Apart from them, a bit of
difficulty may also be faced by the repair technicians.
Familiarization of different parts and hardware that perform the
same function is important.

As an outcome of the improper, or all most no standardization,
the laptops suffer compatibility problems too. Most of the
times, it is not possible to use one manufacturer`s components
in the laptop produced by another manufacturer. The reasons
behind this can be assurance of product stability, prolong
product lifetime, and to avoid dubious warranty issues. Some
manufacturers provide the laptops with a set of ports to let the
user connect the hardware that he wants to use.

Upgradation of a laptop is another issue. Due to both technical
and economic reasons, it is limited. Due to the proprietary
designs of the laptops by each manufacture, it is difficult to
upgrade them and most of the times even repairing is a costly
affair. The standard peripherals, like audio, video, USB, 1394,
Wi Fi, Bluetooth, are integrated in the motherboard. Upgrading
these thus requires either of external ports, card slots or
wireless peripherals. As far as the memory units and batteries
are concerned, they can generally be upgraded according to the
user`s needs.

Performance is another issue. RAM is shared between program
memory and graphic adapters in laptops. Because of which
performance of the laptop is affected. The major concern of the
designer is compactness and energy efficiency against high
performance. Generally, for the home requirement, laptops prove
out to be good options for fast achievement of required
performance. With new technology like dual core processors and
perpendicular recording, laptops` performance is already showing
a progressive graph when compared to the desktops.

Laptops can also pose health hazards. Temperature generated by
laptop can affect sterility in men. Also, laptop keyboard can
lead to RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury). Thus it is advised to
place the laptop on a table or desk when working.

Most RC car owners would get so excited by the time they put
their hands on their very own remote-controlled cars just
because owning one is like owning a big car as well. But of
course, no matter how different these RC cars are compared to
actual cars that big boys drive, there are important reminders
one has to remember and follow.

These are usually the basic things that anyone should remember
when handling anything new for the first time. Ensuring what
could make an object last and remain in good shape depends
highly on how an owner takes care of it. Similar to many things,
for example, the toys that we've had when we were just kids
could have probably last longer if we only knew how to take care
of it properly. The proper cleaning and storing procedures of
these objects are not to be taken for granted because these
simple steps are what keeps our toys and even valuable
possessions remain intact against the test of time. This simply
means that taking care of a RC car that you own should only be
done in the same degree.

For your RC car, make sure that you run several check ups
before and after using it. doesn't matter if you are just going
to use it for a run test or you are actually going to compete,
the point here is that, you are sure that your RC car is in its
optimum condition during every run.

Batteries are very much important. In terms of charging
batteries, make sure that you have followed the required
charging amount according to the manual. A fail safe test is
always good prior to using your RC car. This will prevent a
great deal of injury to the one who's going to drive it and to
other RC cars on the track.

Always start in a slow pace. It's not advisable to speed off
immediately. Be sure that you know your car's speed capacity and
limit before starting off with a speed. And of course, clean
your RC car after you are done with it for the day. Simple but
really effective rules everyone should keep in mind.

I've been in Spanish classes for the past two weeks. It's been
great. As a non-native Spanish speaker, it is important to
refresh your Spanish by having a professional correct your
mistakes. I tend to pick up bad habits along the way and to go
back to the class, every now and then, is excellent for retuning
my Latin Linguistic Skills.

What has been equally excellent and most refreshing are the
contacts I've made with Americans who have been in the school.
There have been the usual bunch of the "way-out-there" crowd.
There have also been some individuals who have been simply
marvelous. They've managed to help restore a little faith in me
to discover a "New Wave", so to speak, of potential expats, not
Fakepats, who realize the dire importance of learning Spanish as
the key that unlocks the door to the culture.

Amazingly, in talking with several of those planning on
retiring full-time to Mexico, I've found those who have been
making the same observations I have been writing about and for
which I've garnered the hatred of the Gringolandians in San
Miguel de Allende and the city of Guanajuato, where my wife and
I live.

One example is the clannishness issue with the Guanajuatenses.
You would have thought that because I observed this region of
Mexico is different from other regions in that the people of
Guanajuato tend to be more clannish than other Mexicans in other
parts of the country, that I had spoken a sacrilege. One fellow
who has been coming to Guanajuato for more than thirty years and
who has lived here full-time off and on, spoke to me about the
clannishness of this city.

Another example is the issue of anti-American sentiment.
Another American told me of a group of the younger people who
are students in the school who went to a club over the weekend
here in Guanajuato. They ended up having to leave the club
because of the hostility they encountered from the Mexican young
people who told them, very frankly, they were not welcome in
Guanajuato and that they should "go home."

I have been talking about these incidents for years in my
blogs, articles, and columns, and for my efforts I've received
death threats, wishes, and have been told I am the most hated
gringo in all of Guanajuato, if not Mexico itself.

Interesting, don't you think?

I've been encouraged. I have felt renewed. I feel giddy that
there are those heading for Guanajuato who have every intention
of never having one thing to do with Gringolandia or her Lord of
the Flies Gringolandians. This is good.

I am also renewed with a better understanding of what I need to
work on in my Spanish learning adventure and am looking forward
to taking private lessons in a couple of weeks.

To save your money in coming to Mexico to study Spanish make
sure you've got as much Spanish under your belt before coming to
Mexico. Take advantage of all the many home-study course
available and listen to the until you sicken of them. That way,
you will be prepare for sitting in a Spanish class where there
will be no spoken English at all. The instruction will all be in
Spanish!

Ode To The New Year
The Journey by Mary Oliver

One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you kept shouting their bad
advice--- though the whole house began to tremble and you
felt the old tug at your ankles. "Mend my life!" each voice
cried. But you didn't stop. You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried with its stiff fingers at the very
foundations, though their melancholy was terrible.

It was already late enough, and a wild night, and the road
full of fallen branches and stones. But little by little,
as you left their voices behind, the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds, and there was a new voice
which you slowly recognized as your own, that kept you
company as you strode deeper and deeper into the world,
determined to do the only thing you could do--- determined
to save the only life you could save.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

This is the year when a focused concentration will
over-ride the crazy makers and those who recommend a path
for me that is out of sync with my destiny: This is the
year when I don't stray from my own inner and true guidance
system.

And what about you?

Have you taken advice from others that propelled you away
from what you truly wanted to do?

Have you ever been swayed by opinions and dogma that just
didn't represent who you really are?

Have you experienced red flags in your path, and when you
ignored these, were taken off course from your dream?

How can you know for sure that your inner guidance is
really true and not disguised as the inner tape of your
priest or minister, mother or father or some other
authority in your life?

What are the spiritual tools that when used, will
strengthen this inner wisdom, and when you hear it, you
have no doubt of its authenticity?

Your tools are your own. Gather them to your heart and
practice using them when you feel confusion and lack of
clarity.

Choose your tools wisely and with discernment. When you are
led to a particular spiritual practice, and the magnetic
pull is powerful and unmistakable, then run with it and
call it your own.

An example of one of my latest spiritual methods is keeping
a gratitude journal. I write in the journal twice a day,
two pages long.

On one page, I write "Thank you, God/ess, for----."

On page two I write "I am so happy and grateful now
that---" and write in the present tense that which I wish
to manifest in the upcoming months or years.

I notice a lifting of any and all negativity.

For instance, when a person recently said something
depressing or negative about another person or about the
world situation, the act of writing statements of
thankfulness immediately set my mind on a positive track.

Without hesitation, I said something to defend that person
or the world, saying it cheerfully and with optimistic
enthusiasm.

This surprised even me.

The world is good. All people are good. I wish only good
things to everything and everyone.

Wow, an automatic knee jerk reaction that is free and happy!

This is what the gratitude journal is accomplishing for me.

Do you want to add this to your spiritual tool box?

Additionally, here are a series of quotes to fuel your
passion for the year ahead:

"Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out
how far they can go." T. S. Elliot

"Life is either a daring adventure, or it is nothing."
Helen Keller

"A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not
discovered the true meaning of life." Charles Darwin

"There are only two ways to live a life. One is as though
nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is
a miracle." Albert Einstein

"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old
because we stop playing." George Bernard Shaw

"Enjoy life. This is not a dress rehearsal." Anonymous

"The chief danger in life is that you may take too many
precautions." Alfred Adler

"It is better to wear out than to rust out." Richard
Cumberland

"Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it." Goethe

"Life, like a mirror, never gives back more than we put
into it." Anonymous.

"And in the end, it is not the years in your life that
count, it's the like in your years." Abraham Lincoln

Happy New Year everyone!

Fear Itself
We've all heard this before: Fear is the opposite of love
and faith. Fear is a good indicator that we're not living
in the present moment and we've forgotten to seek out
solitude.

I had a friend once who was driven to get rid of fear in
his and his familie's life to such an extent that he took
his family up in a private plane, ignoring the pleas of his
8 year old daughter not to go, and crashed into the side of
a mountain in Northern California.

They were instantly killed.

We were doing river rafting trips together down the Klamath
River. This was his summer business and I worked with and
for him.

He was consumed by the need to get rid of all fear. I could
not grasp this concept nor get into his enthusiasm for this
goal. And when all 4 of these wonderful people met an
untimely death, I began to see fear as a teacher in life.
It exists in all of our lives for a reason.

The elimination of inner fear is worthy of our focus. I
believe my friend became confused about what kind of fear
could or could not be dealt with by self-will or god/ess
will.

Resistance to life is the #1 fear I am working on, for
instance. I am a night person and resist getting out of bed
every single day.

I go to a conference every Wednesday morning. High ranking
doctors and residents attend these. I always perceive them
to be arrogant and unfriendly.

So I resist going there, but go, anyway.

I began to figure out that if I get rid of the resistance,
and embrace what is and make peace of mind my only goal in
life, then there will be a break through with all this
resistance.

Today, I actively concentrated on the antidote to
fear--Love and Enthusiasm for the new day. I got out of
bed, did my meditation and duties with an inner sense of
optimism.

I got to the conference and authentically felt good natured
towards every one there. I smiled. One of the doctors who
never seemed to like me, greeted me like a long lost
comrade.

I sat next to the department head of OB/Gyn and greeted her
as a dear friend.

I purposely beamed love to everyone in the room. When a
negative or judgmental thought arose about anyone there, I
immediately relinquished this to god/ess.

"The love (god/christ/buddha/krishna/allah) within me
blesses that which is within you."

Another fear antidote is the practice of Ho'oponopono. The
simplicity of it makes it very easy to remember. The
phrases: I love you, Thank you, Please forgive me and I am
sorry are inwardly chanted at all times.

Drs Len and Vitale, co-authors of "Zero Limits" about
Ho'oponopono as a spiritual practice, have simplified the
practice even further to the one phrase: I love you.

However, I also always say thank you because of the power
of gratitude, also a fear busting agent.

I cannot explain how this works, only that it does.
Inwardly chanting these phrases in whatever order (or no
order) cures insomnia, anxiety, fear, depression and
feelings of alienation.

Simple practices such as Ho'oponopono bring peace to the
birth and death beds as well as the sick bed. When the
nurse or healer is calm then everything around her is at
peace.

Ho'oponopono is a tool to use at all times, as mentioned,
but in times of conflict, miscommunication or emergency,
this practice serves a great purpose. The practice may even
prevent further trauma, chaos or death.

Or if death is inevitable, a peaceful death will manifest.

This practice or the spiritual practice of your choice
creates happy and balanced days. Every moment is an
opportunity for spiritual growth.

As long as I align my center of focus on Love, fear and
resistance vanishes.

After my friend and his family perished in the airplane
crash, I wrote stories about my friendship with him. I
wrote letters to him explaining how much I loved him and
his beautiful family.

One day soon after I wrote my story, my niece and I pulled
up next to a car at a red light.

The driver of that car looked over at us. It looked just
like our friend.

He smiled broadly and looked happy and other worldly. We
both saw an illuminated quality around his head.

Then he took off as he waved a goodbye.

My niece and I said: "Did you see that?"

We compared notes and we both saw him the same way--as a
fearless and illuminated light being.

So we both were able to let him go.

We knew that his own death finally conquered the fear he
was resisting.

We also were fearless about death, as a result.

If you are looking for that perfect piece of jewelry to let her
know just how much she is loved, it can be helpful to know how
to quickly identify the symbols that will convey your message in
an instant. Whether you're buying as a gift for someone else or
you simply appreciate the reminder that love, in general, is an
important part of life and you want to treat yourself to a
beautiful piece of jewelry, there's no time like the present to
start shopping.

The Claddagh is a longstanding symbol of love, which was first
created during the 17th century. Recognized as a design that
features a crowned heart in the center, which is being held by a
pair of hands, this symbol is one of the most recognized in
jewelry today. The hands are said to stand for friendship, the
crown for loyalty and the heart in the center was created to
symbolize, you guessed it, love.

In recent years, the circle design has become a staple in the
jewelry market. Although it remains a popular trend, it has
already earned the right to be called a classic. It's clean and
polished design offers a simplistic symbol for a very powerful
emotion - love. A circle, like a wedding band, is an unbroken
line. It's continuity symbolizes an endless devotion to another,
which is why it's a popular way to show someone just how much
they are loved. This beautiful design, however, is not just for
lovers. In fact, it can be worn by anyone who simply adores the
beauty of a circle design and it can also be exchanged between
friends or relatives as a gift of love.

Speaking of a classic design, the cameo is one that promises to
remain so for years to come. When you look at a cameo, you see a
piece of jewelry that consists of a carved profile portrait that
sits atop a background of a different color. Believe it or not,
this traditional image is one that also symbolizes love. It has
been given by grandmothers to granddaughters, from mothers to
daughters and from husbands to their wives.

If you or someone you know loves color or is born in the month
of May, the emerald may have a special place in your heart. What
you may not know is that this gemstone is also the stone of
success and love, which makes it a perfect gift to give to show
someone how much they mean to you. Whether it's an emerald ring,
a pair of earrings or a necklace, this rare and precious
gemstone is a favorite of many. If you can't afford the real
thing or you typically shy away from gems that feature
inclusions, of which a natural emerald has, you can find
simulated emerald that offers an eyeclean appearance at a
fraction of the cost.

If you're still in the market for a piece of jewelry that
symbolizes love, you can't go wrong with the traditional image
of a heart. Available in both polished, textured and covered
with gemstones, this universal symbol of love is a popular pick
in jewelry. Certain designs are known to convey a message
without even saying a word and, when it comes to jewelry, a
subtle reminder of how someone feels about you is the most
precious of all.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
With the advent of internet marketing, there has been a rise in
pay per click advertising. But after showing a booming prospect,
pay per click advertising has begun to lose its charm due to
frauds that are being committed in the name of pay per click
advertising.

In pay per click advertising, the advertiser, for every click
on its link by its potential customer pays a certain agreed
amount to the advertising company. But over the years a trend of
dishonesty is being seen in the advertising companies where they
generate fake clicks on advertiser's link and try to make easy
money. In other cases, vengeful competitors can click on such
links to increase their bill without getting any genuine
customers.

So this becomes quite difficult for companies to find a good
pay per click company, but still, there are some measures which
can follow to ensure that investments are not being wasted.

You can look for Google certification which is in the form of
"Google AdWords Certification" which ensures that the bearer is
competent and is very familiar with the way the PPC system of
Google works. You can look at testimonials of the company and
use your instincts to find out whether these are genuine or
fabricated by the company itself. You can also benefit from
experience of other companies who have got this type of work
done. You can find someone in such a company who can guide you
in the process or can reveal their experience with the same. And
don't forget to take warnings from such people if you do not
intend to waste your investment.

You can also go through the previous works of the advertising
company. Ask them about their clients and the kind of results
they have given them and see for yourself how much you are
satisfied with the information given by them. You can also check
the familiarity of the advertising company with your field of
operation and check whether they are really knowledgeable or
not.

You can check the professional conduct of the advertising
company. Hold your advertising company to a very high level of
Professional Demeanor and if it fails, its better to find some
other firm.

It may sound tempting but always consider more than one
advertising company so that you have many options to choose
from. It is always beneficial to consider competition in the
market while selecting a service provider for yourself.

Avoid companies that guarantee fast results, because generally,
companies that offer speed in their services do not give time to
test the results.

Look at what kind of results they provide to their customers.
Firms sometimes charge you without increasing the traffic of
customers to your website. Go through the contract thoroughly
and be sure about all the terms and conditions.

Generally, companies that think of themselves as experts in
using Google, consider PPC advertising as their area of
expertise but you can easily check their credibility in the side
bar ads when you search them in Google.

These are certain points which you can keep in mind while
finding a good pay per click company and make sure you are not
short of your advertising budget.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Costa Rica is a beautiful travel destination that has caught
the attention of the world. Recent statistics indicate that
tourism has growing rapidly over the recent years and is expect
to continue expand. Literally called the "Rich Coast" by the
Spanish explorers Costa Rica has access to both the Pacific and
Caribbean seas.

Costa Rica Tourism is considered a USD 1.9 billion a year
industry. It stands out as the most visited nation in the
Central American region and records to date show that 1.9
million visitors enjoy the country's beauty and hospitality.
More than half of the tourists come from the United States and a
fifth of the total number come from Europe.

Costa Rica now prides itself in having two major international
airports (SJO and LIR) and several domestic airports. The first
major airport is Juan Santamaría Airport (SJO) and it is
accessible to major cities of the country which are Alajuela,
Heredia and the capital city of San José. The second
international airport is Daniel Oduber Quirós International
Airport (LIR) and it is located in Liberia, near the Guacanaste
province and closest to the Pacific Northwest coast.

Increases in Costa Rica tourism are tied to the Liberia
international airport. Plans are underway to expand this
facility to continue to accommodate the surge of visitors. New
developments in the northern region of Costa Rica is one of the
major reasons for the increased visitor traffic. Nowadays,
luxury hotels, enchanting villas and mesmerizing rentals are
constantly on the rise in this part of the country.

Costa Rica is the pioneer in strategic ecotourism. Thus, there
are many exciting destinations in the country where nature can
best be appreciated. Tourists can visit any one of the country's
national parks: Chirripo National Park, Manuel Antonio National
Park, Cahuita National Park, Corcovado National Park and Tapanti
National Park. Other environmental tourist spots are the
Monteverde and Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserves and the Pacuare
River and Protected Zone.

Going on a holiday in Costa Rica is far from boring. Due to the
fact that prostitution is legal in the country, sex tourism has
become one of the country's tourist attractions. The industry is
slowly gaining popularity, making it one of the national
destinations of `sex tourists' and the commerce already accounts
for approximately 1/10 or 10% of the billion dollar industry.
However there are many people who have decided to avoid Costa
Rica as a result of the sex tourism industry.

According to the first Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index
published by the World Economic Forum, Costa Rica tourism
astonishingly ranks 41st place, making themselves the first
among other Latin American countries. It is definitely a feat,
since if the forum only takes into consideration major factors
such as human, cultural and natural resources, Costa Rica places
20th at a worldwide level.

Costa Rica tourism will continue to grow as the world discovers
the beauty of this tropical paradise. This will provide an
increase economic growth and the growth of the infrastructure
that is associated with the tourism industry. The future is
bright for Costa Rica and its tourism industry.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Money can't buy happiness is the old saying that we fall back
on when times are tough and the bank account isn't looking too
good. This saying does give a measure of comfort, but it is only
fleeting, because once the thought of happiness has come up,
then we start asking ourselves, Are we really are happy?

It is true you can't actually go out and buy happiness. There
is not a ratio of happiness to money, the more money you have
will not make you that much happier, but with little money there
is worry and stress. There is a strong ratio between stress and
health

Financial stress is probably the number one concern for most
people. It is hard to enjoy life when you are always worried
about the next cent. Major stress has a trickle down effect on
your health.

If you are not sleeping well because you are worried about
unpaid bills, this will gradually take its toll on your body.
Adequate rest is essential for good health.

If you are juggling two jobs and not eating properly your body
won't be able to cope. When you need a paycheck, you need to be
fit enough to earn it.

The amount of choices you are free to make is directly related
to how much money you have. Wealth can help you to achieve
lifestyle that improves your health, because you are under less
stress, have the time and money to eat the right diet, and live
in a healthy environment.

We all want lifestyle and not necessarily the million dollar
kind. Some folks dreams are very ordinary. There is nothing
ordinary though, about getting the extra money to achieve them.

Our dream was to be able to live aboard a sailing boat and we
did manage it for a few short periods. No matter what we tried,
we were never able to amass enough money to do it permanently.

We tried everything; sales jobs that were supposed to earn us
fabulous commissions; being self employed that was to give us
the ability to expand and the tax breaks that come with it;
network marketing had all the potentials but none of the
rewards. We even tried gambling systems and get rich quick
schemes. At one time we were doing five jobs, as in physical
jobs between us and still we were going nowhere.

The crunch came when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. During
my recovery, I had a lot of time to think and I decided I wasn't
happy with our lifestyle, or rather our way of life, as there
was no "style" to it! We had sold our last yacht and moved
ashore to give our two children a chance at going to university.
Now they had left home, (they were both traveling the world, not
going to university) we decided to buy another boat and have
another shot at the dream.
In the beginning the cash flow had to come from conventional
jobs. But that was okay because at the end of the day, when we
sat on the deck having our sundowner we were living part of the
dream.

We decided what we needed was a "portable income". That is an
income that we could earn while we were on the move, an income
that would allow us to stay on our yacht and cruise when we felt
like it. We could have moved to the mountains or a beach. We
didn't have to consider commuting to work or being in a
populated area to give us an income.

Technological advances have made it easier to do business on
the move via wireless broadband. So it was a logical choice for
us to look in this direction to create our portable income. In
the past, to have a telephone and computer connections meant
having a place of residence and staying put. Not any more. We
can literally have our office on board a boat.

I always worried about money, and when we got into debt I
couldn't cope. My biggest dream was to be debt free. We don't
have a big yacht, but we do have a lifestyle. Not constantly
worrying about money, takes years off your age.

A portable income is exciting for us because now we can begin
to think about other things we'd like. Old dreams can be brought
out again and dusted off, because suddenly it's possible to
think beyond a weekly paycheck.

Creating a portable income isn't easy, but once we had
developed a system that we could repeat over and over, we knew
we were on our way. The dividends when this starts to take off
are not only financial, but gone also is the stress. Now we have
lifestyle, and we will be healthy enough to enjoy it.

Article Title: Working From Home Using Affiliate Marketing, Can
You Really Make Any Money?

================== ARTICLE START ==================
If you are looking for a way to bring in some extra cash by
working from home then affiliate marketing is often seen as the
quick and easy way. As you go into more depth you may learn to
your cost that it is not necessarily as easy as those people
selling you their products make out!

There are a few key factors that you need to bear in mind
before you jump headfirst into this fast and competitive
business:

Firstly, you need to decide if it is really for you, what I
mean by that is, by its' very nature, affiliate marketing is
about advertising, people pushing products trying to get other
people to buy those products via their links. If you are not
prepared to spend time learning about different ways of
advertising and then implementing what you learn, then stick
with the day job. Too often people forget that this is a Work at
home business. If you are not prepared to work at it, it will
fail.

Secondly, do your research. Both of the product you are
considering advertising and of the person/company selling the
product. When you first start looking you will find there are so
many wonderful items out there for all sorts of niches. Make
sure your credit card is locked in a draw in another room! It is
very easy to get carried away and buy everything. DON'T!
Unfortunately there are still scams out there that will leave
you with a bad taste in your mouth, a hole in your wallet and a
feeling of giving up. If you research each potential purchase
thoroughly you should be able to avoid the scammers.

Thirdly learn what tools you will need to enable your business
to work. It is possible to make money without a website just by
advertising your affiliate links but everywhere you look you
will be told or you will read that, "The money is in the list!"
to the "newbie" this means nothing because they do not have a
list. If you want to make money over an extended period of time,
and you want to earn money without having to work too hard then
having the right tools at the outset will make your life so much
easier in the long run. In my opinion you should budget for
buying a domain name, a web hosting package (for your website)
and an autoresponder. In my mind these are the key elements to
building a successful online business.

If you can find a product or package that provides all of these
then I would suggest you buy it as well as market it because it
is the perfect start point for any "newbie". Having set up your
website and your autoresponder, you drive your potential
customers here, getting them to opt-in to your list before you
redirect them via your affiliate marketing link to the product
they were interested in. This way even if they do not buy the
product you have got them on your list, where everyone keeps
telling you the money is!

Anger Itself
Strong emotions such as anger are dangerous to repress.
Heart disease and cancer are the by products of such
repression, among other things.

But over the years I've noticed that people who express
their anger are control freaks and are toxic in the ways
they choose to express themselves.

The afflictive emotions such as anger, jealousy, hatred
envy, unwarranted pride, seething resentments are emotional
red flags suggesting that the problem lies within.

"It is a spiritual axiom that when ever we are disturbed,
there is something wrong with us." Step 10 in the 12/12, an
AA recovery book. Restraint of tongue and pen and cleaning
the wreckage from our past are the instructions given by
Bill W(ilson).

I was reminded yesterday of two resident doctors who held
everyone hostage by their constant put downs and
expressions of anger.

These women were sorry souls.

I complained to the administrative powers about the
behavior of these women. In my opinion at the time, no one
was doing them any favors by allowing them to act in ways
that consistently alienated everyone in their emotionally
toxic pathways.

Emotional intelligence can be taught.

But administration was afraid of these women. Nurses were
afraid of them. Sometimes I gleefully fantasized telling
them where to go, but knew enough to show restraint of pen
and tongue.

We must learn to cultivate the antidotes to afflictive
emotions as they arise. The most powerful antidote to any
and all of these toxic emotions is to open the heart and
allow compassion for a person--and all people everywhere,
to take root and become habitual action.

And the moment we feel these emotions such as anger, a
habit of giving it to the Higher Power for transformation
may be one of the most powerful antidotes we can practice.

The Higher Power gives us the needed love and compassion as
soon as we seek out this kind of unseen help.

We must learn to meditatively cultivate the antidotes to
anger such as patience and forbearance.

If you are facing the vile behavior of another person, and
you experience an open heart of compassion towards that
person, you may notice at the same time that the deplorable
behavior is not what is tolerated, only the person.

This distinction, transforming anger towards a person and
at the same time having a powerful desire to stop the vile
behavior, are two simultaneously human emotions that when
practiced together, prevents a person's patience from
plummeting into an apathetic and depressive state.

In the latest political campaign, the press is attempting
to write off John Edwards, Democratic Presidential hopeful,
as an angry man.

John Edwards typifies the difference between anger, a
purely afflictive emotion, and moral outrage.

I believe that Edwards displays what I will call
compassionate wrath, a forceful kind of compassion that may
look like anger to the untrained knee jerking pundits, but
in reality doesn't have the violence and destruction
associated with it.

I expect a candidate to have moral outrage about the
problems that face our country.

And I'd be worried if I didn't experience moral outrage, as
well.

No longer can we afford the luxury of a negative thought,
nor can the world. The discipline required to work on
myself is a necessity.

The alternative never was attractive and becomes less so as
the days go on.

And as soon as I realize that the unseen helpers: the
higher guides, angels and Higher Power are here at all
times, then anger and fear and all the afflictive emotions
are rendered powerless.

And freedom is the magnificent result!!

Health Care Delivery Nightmare

Health Care Delivery Nightmare
Much press is given aging Baby Boomers who send their
children to college and in many cases, take care of their
aging parents at the same time.

In my own case, my mother died after a stroke after a two
month decline in 1987. I just graduated from my Nurse
Practitioner program and came home on Father's Day.

This was the same day my mother had her stroke.

My father's gradual decline spanned over thirteen years. He
had Alzheimer's Disease and was in and out of consciousness
for most of that time. I dealt with Nursing Home
administrators, and had to move him from one nursing home
to another when he "ran out of money."

These kinds of experiences where you feel powerless to help
the one person whom you love deeply from earliest memory,
can teach lessons of surrender and a giving up of all past
memory for a simple acceptance of that which is seen and
unseen in this very moment.

My dad died seven years ago. I am reconciled with
everything that ever happened between us, and all members
of my family.

Enter Marybeth Kuznik, Executive Director of Vote Pa. She
is dedicated to bringing voting (machine) reform to the
state of Pennsylvania. She was one of the people who went
to Ohio for the final vote count in Ohio in the 2004
election.

She verified what I have known since that time: G.W. Bush
stole that election.

Marybeth and I met at the State Democratic Committee
Meeting where our group, Progressives For Pennsylvania,
held our health care reform conference in order to educate
the State Democratic Party about HB 1660 and SB 300: The
best state single payer plan in the country, at this time.

The conference was a success! People are excited by the
Bill. As Michael Moore said in a recent conference call I
was privileged to attend, the people are ready for it.
Getting it through the legislative process is the challenge.

We were collecting health care delivery nightmare stories,
and Marybeth gave us the most wrenching story I have ever
heard, one that will soon be on You Tube and on our
website, Progressives 4 Pennsylvania, as well as our P4P
blog.

Merle Kuznik, Marybeth's 89 year old mother, broke her
right hip after suffering a major stroke on her left side.
The nursing home she was in, Wood Haven Care Center in
Monroeville, Pennsylvania, insisted that Merle Kuznik apply
for Medicaid to pay for expenses not paid by Medicare.

When the paperwork was not completed in a timely fashion,
local Constables showed up to her nursing home room, with
guns visible but in their holsters, and told her she would
have to go to jail for 3 days, if she did not pay.

Marybeth, the savvy person that she is, went to KDKA TV and
told the story.

Our bill, HB 1660 and SB 300 pays for long term care.

If our bill was in place NOW, Marybeth and Merle wouldn't
be going through this degrading experience.

The question is, how many other of our elderly are
experiencing similar experiences that are the worst kind of
abuses in what we know is NOT a civil society until we get
a single payer system instituted in our country?

How many suffer silently because, like Merle Kuznic, they
cannot speak, or move because they are paralyzed? or worse,
because they are mentally incapacitated?

This story underscores the reason why I fight tirelessly
for a single payer health care delivery system.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
There are several teaching courses online. Some are free to a
certain point. While others do in fact have a fee. Teaching
courses online range in a variety of areas, from daycare to high
school to becoming a college professor of some kind.

Can you believe there are even teaching courses online for yoga
instructors and other physical teaching jobs in different areas
of that field.

I knew there were a lot of course online you could take,
however when it comes to teaching I guess one tends to think of
the normal teaching of reading, writing, and the basic
schooling. Teaching courses online are all over the Internet. I
looked at a few of the different web sites and to my surprise,
so of the teaching courses online, didn't take all that long.
And you don't even have to set one foot in a classroom.

For daycare, the teaching courses online that I seen were the
ones that didn't seem to cost as much as some of the other
teaching courses online.

When you take some king of teaching course online, it is
basically the same as if you were going to a college or
University somewhere to become a teacher. The amount of time it
takes is a little different, however you have to meet the
requirements and pass all the necessary testing and exams before
you actually become a teacher.

I was also able to find teaching courses online for those
wanting to work in special education situations with children of
special learning needs. Its truly amazing how many different
types of teaching courses online that are actually available.
You need to purchases some materials I noticed with some of the
web sites. Such as books or other supplies that you will
eventually be using over the period of the teaching course
online you are taking. However, they are delivered to you,
before that specific assignment comes up on the website.

You can take it for what its worth, but I thought some of the
web sites were rather confusing. For the simple reason that the
teaching courses online didn't seem like they would be
legitimate, but I suppose they would be, considering you would
eventually have to take the state exam in whichever state you
were in after completing the teaching courses online, or so
that's what I read on one of the many web sites that are on the
Internet for teaching courses online available.

Some of the colleges that were offering the teaching courses
online I did recognize while others I didn't and so it is wise
to be careful when choosing a site or college, and in most of
the sites I went through there were also toll free numbers where
you could request information or have a representative for the
teaching courses online of the college or university to call you
back.

One thing I did find absolutely hard to believe and that was a
teaching course online for sign language, this was perhaps the
most awkward in the web sites I checked out. However everyone is
different. So, it would depend on the individual and what it is
they are wanting to learn to teach, as far as teaching courses
online and what to look for.
