Though she's not Jewish, pop star Christina Aguilera married
Jordan Bratman in November of 2005 in a wedding ceremony that
included traditional Jewish elements. Because of her husband's
Jewish heritage, Aguilera's holiday celebrations are sure to
include Chanukah. If that's the case, she'll probably be
visiting her florist for some help with beautiful Chanukah
decorations.

Chanukah, or the Festival of Lights, commemorates the Jews'
victory over Greek persecution. The Menorah is probably the most
commonly recognized symbol of the celebration. When the Maccabees
who led the war against the Syrians took back the Temple, they
were running low on oil for lighting the Menorah there""they had
just one flask. That single flask of oil kept the Menorah lit for
eight days, which was a miraculous feat. Because of this,
Chanukah is celebrated for eight days.

If you're planning a Chanukah celebration this year, the Society
of American Florists (SAF) offers these great tips for making
your celebration elegant and memorable for you and your guests:
* Contact your florist for an arrangement in the traditional
Chanukah colors of blue and white. Use the arrangement as a
centerpiece or place it near the entryway to your home to greet
guests.
* Place fresh evergreen bows around the menorah.
* Display candles throughout your home to add warmth and
elegance. Some places you might use them are along walkways, on
the mantle, floating in crystal bowls with flowers, and in powder
rooms.
* If your party will be a large one, consider using a few large
flower arrangements instead of many small ones. Doing so will
ensure they aren't "lost" in the room and create extra space
for dinnerware and food.
* Place a vase of loose stems near the door and ask your guests
to take one as a memento when they leave.

As Christina Aguilera prepares to celebrate her second Chanukah
with husband Jordan Bratman, she's probably thinking of ways to
make the season a memorable one. Beautiful Chanukah flowers are
an excellent way to spread the beauty and joy of the celebration
throughout the home.

How to Say "No"

How to Say "No"
Women are notorious known for having a difficult time
saying "no." This word has just two letters, yet we carry
it around like an extremely large dictionary...for some of
us, it weights heavily in our hearts when we have to say
"no."

We were not born with a built-in gene that must say "yes"
to every request that comes our way. So why do we feel
compelled to give our time away to others.

Each one of us have a barrage of reasons why we just can't
say "no" to our neighbor, friend, co-worker, love one,
family member. How many tasks on your "To Do" lists are
there because of other people's requests? Are you
frustrated with yourself for responding to others in the
same old way? Why not try something different.

I think it's just so simple...exercise...build your "no"
muscles. I can hear the "moans" right
now....exercise!!!!! Here are 4 tips to start exercising
now. By the way, this kind of exercise can be fun.

1. Create of list of the times you said "yes" when you
wanted to say "no." Have fun, become absurd, and still
capture all those times when you just wanted to say "no."
You can do this exercise with a friend...she too may be
struggling with the "can't say no disease."

2. Next to each time you said "yes," put the name of the
person you said "yes" to and why. No judgments allowed
here....just become aware of your choices...your decisions.

3. Did you find that one person was taking a lot of your
time? Or a certain situation surfaces that you are good
at and everyone always asks for your help. Let's try an
experiment. For the next 30 days, each day say "no" at
least once to that person or to one situation that you
would normally say "yes."

Making a change can bring up anxiety in a person, so start
slow with your responses of "no". If you do it for 30
days, once a day, you will become more flexible with your
"no's."

4. Keep a journal - every day take time to write on what
you said "no" to, to whom, and how you felt after having
done so. You may have a whole range of reactions....from
guilt to ecstatic (what took me so long). The writing
doesn't have to take long, just enough time to capture the
experience for you. You are exercising your "change"
muscles.

Final Thoughts

Ask yourself, "What is the best use of my time right now.
If I say "yes" to this request, what will I have to remove
from my current "To Do" list to make time for this new
request?"

We all have to make choices with our time, so prioritize
what is important for you to be confident and contented in
your life, and let go of the rest. If you use guilt as
the guide for your decisions, each time you say "yes" to
something you really don't want to do, you give away a bit
of your happiness.

From now on, exercise your "no" muscles.

Every business venture, regardless of its venue or its
objective, begins with a basic idea, the simpler the better.
Focus and expansion are much easier from the get-go this way.
Most importantly, this serves as the business foundation,
without which the business couldn't manage or even exist. The
main idea is the root of the entire business.

Where does this idea [usually] come from? Several sources are
possible: a television show, radio broadcast, a song, a piece of
literature, social issues, politics, the ongoing development of
technology, an art style, research, a personal experience, a
movie, a child's imagination, hearsay or conversation, even an
innovation brought about through necessity, such as a means to
make home chores more convenient. Whatever the case, this idea
should be unique and boast a twist that allows the idea to stand
out on its own in the merchandising and marketing fields that it
represents. In the end, this idea must be flexible and open
enough to growth in a variety of ways.

The first step to developing the main premise of the business
venture one the basic is established is to conduct research in
the given field in order to ascertain the current goings-on so
that the direction of the business, even the nature of the idea
itself, is innovative enough to promote an aspect of the
industry that hasn't yet been touched or explored. In this way,
the business has room to move and reduces the threat of
competition, especially those opposing ventures that are very
persistent. Even if the competition does eventually incorporate
such developments in relation to the new aspect, the business
that had started it will be forever known as the leader in the
creation of a sub-industry that would significantly expand an
already existing one. This distinction is one of the major goals
behind the main idea and should be considered right away so that
it is not overlooked.

The data found through the research, then, allows the business
owners to progress from there. That information determines the
further direction of the business necessary to keep it on it's
particular path so it doesn't delve too far into the premise of
another related business venture. This phase of plan development
involves any modifications that are necessary to adjust the
details of the main idea so that its uniqueness remains
prominent. This research ultimately specifies and clarifies the
ongoing purpose of the business.

The idea copyright and registration come next and is critical
so that the business owner is protected legally. If she or he
isn't and her or his idea is stolen and used by someone else,
the venture is over. Also established here are the Mission
Statement, Philosophy, and procedural policies. The identity of
the new business and its particular role in both the industry
and the general business world begin to emerge.

At this point, the idea can go in any direction. This is where
the business website is designed and laid out in meticulously
detailed plan that will assist in its creation. The idea, which
had earlier began as a mere mental abstraction, now becomes
physical reality.

There are many different vitamins in food. Vitamins are
essential to life, but most of us do not get the amount of
vitamins we need in our every day diet. Certain foods are high
not only in one vitamin, but many. Let us take Broccoli, for
example.

Broccoli is probably one of the most nutritional foods on the
face of the planet, yet many people dislike this green
vegetable. Broccoli is high in most of the B vitamins and is
both an antioxidant as well as an energy booster. Consumption of
certain vitamins in food, such as broccoli, have been found to
stave off cancer and even fight the disease. In addition to
fighting off cancer and other illnesses, vitamins in food such
as broccoli can alleviate depression, help with anxiety and can
improve cardiovascular health.

Oranges are high in Vitamin C. Vitamins in food that protect us
from colds and boost our immune system can be found in those
foods high in vitamin C. In addition to oranges, most citrus
fruits contain high quantities of Vitamin C as do strawberries,
cherries, pineapple and tomatoes. Vegetables that are also high
in vitamin C include broccoli, asparagus, potatoes and
cauliflower. Melons and cabbage are also found to have
substantial amounts of this valuable vitamin.

Vitamins in food are the most natural way to take the essential
nutrients that we need to sustain good health. Most of us,
however, do not get the amount of vegetables and other foods
that are high in certain vitamins on a daily basis. For this
reason, many people choose to take vitamin supplements to make
up for any deficiencies they are experiencing by not consuming
vitamins in food.

Remember when your mother told you to drink your milk so you
could get strong bones and teeth? She was not lying. Milk is
high in vitamin D that promotes strong bones and teeth. While
children need this essential vitamin to grow, older people can
also benefit from vitamin D as it is shown to stave off the
effects of osteoporosis. Other foods that are also high in
vitamin D include fish liver oils, egg yolks, shrimp and fish.

Another one of the many vitamins in food is Vitamin E, which is
also a powerful antioxidant. In addition to preventing cancer
and actually making cancer treatments more effective, Vitamin E
can reduce damage to lungs caused by smoking. It protects the
body from toxic chemicals. Vitamins in foods containing the E
vitamin include most oils, peanuts, pecans, walnuts, peanut
butter and soy beans.

Vitamins in foods that help your eyesight include Vitamin A
that can be found in carrots. It is not an old wives tale that
eating carrots helps your eyesight. Carrots contain Vitamin A
that is actually shown to protect against night blindness and
can even reverse cornea damage. While eating carrots does not
guarantee having 20/20 vision, other benefits of eating carrots
containing vitamin A include protection against cancer as well
as the common cold and flu. Vitamin A is also known to combat
certain infections and aid in the care of skin disorders.

Other foods that are high in vitamin A include liver, parsley,
mint, spinach, carrots, dairy products, greens, cherries, sweet
potatoes, greens, peaches, cantaloupe, apricots, squash and our
old friend, broccoli.

Vitamins in foods such as fish can help control cholesterol and
improve memory. Many people are taking fish oil supplements to
stave off diseases such as Alzheimers disease and improve their
concentration. People call fish brain food because the vitamins
in food such as fish are proven to help with concentration and
memory.

Liver is not one of the most favorite substances people can eat
and many shy away from this food. But liver contains iron. Iron
is essential for stamina, although you do not want to get too
much iron in your blood. Women who are pregnant or those with
anemia, however, can benefit greatly from this food.

Vitamins in food come in many different varieties. In order to
make certain that you are getting the proper amount of vitamins
in food you should eat seven different fruits and vegetables
each day, drink orange juice and consume milk or dairy products
and make sure you get whole grains as well as protein in your
diet. To many people, this seems as if it is a daunting task.
This is why so many people prefer to take vitamin supplements.

While vitamin supplements are an excellent way to get your
daily requirements of certain vitamins, vitamins in food is one
way to be sure that you are keeping your body healthy. If
nothing else, at least try to consume broccoli as much as you
can, in addition to taking your multivitamins. Of all the
vitamins in food, broccoli contains the most beneficial
supplements.

Many people in their enthusiasm to jump into their job hunt do
not bother or take the time to do a proper job of research. Yet
research have shown that those who do take the time and effort
to conduct a thorough job of research – both l impress interview
team of their future employers by their thoroughness and
determination at this job so much so that they are generally
offered better job positions at better pay and benefits.

Why this is so and what can you do to guard against laziness or
avoidance of conducting a most through effort at pre employment
and career building research?

First of all where are you going to in your job career
employment search?

If you do not know where you are going you are going to end up
somewhere else. Knowing how and when you are going to conduct
your job search can be ineffective if you do not have a clear
idea where you want to go and what types of job, employment and
career field you want and in the end what it is that you are
searching for.

Life is a series of steps and stepping stones. Even if the area
that you are currently conducting a job search in is not to your
liking and first pick, every door leads to another. Preparation
of a career , carefully chosen rather than haphazard , can mean
that time in preparation in an intermediate sector may lead to
the gold that you want later on.

If you do not have most clear idea of where you wish to be
heading you can easily going down roads and byways, wasting time
and effort, applying for jobs that have little benefits to you,
in terms of contacts, networking and skill development, when the
time could have been much better invested elsewhere in pursuits
with real benefits, rewards and payoffs.

Next the whole process of research may overwhelm you. True. You
can only take one step at a time. Move towards your goal.
Research will help you develop, plan and establish your goals.
Best , if you are feeling overwhelmed , to some degree , is that
when you do have that destination and road map in place , to
follow, you are going to be far less likely to get lost along
the way and have intense feeling of frustration.

Overall it's a case of time, efforts and money spent well in
the right directions to get the best job and career employment
opportunities. You might think that by spending the time and
effort researching you are wasting time beating the pavement and
not getting that good job.

However if you do not do your career job employment research,
then that is the major waste of time. You could most easily find
yourself wandering aimlessly through the maze of available
job-related resources, searching online, talking to people who
either have no interest in providing you with employment, or
provide employment that is not to your benefit – either as long
term career opportunities, good paying or downright poor places
to work with little job satisfaction or job satisfaction
potential..

If has often been said that those that "fail to plan, plan to
fail"... Those job seekers who not do a good and thorough job or
employment, industry and career research are shortcoming no one
but themselves and their employment, Career and wage earning
potentials.

Completing any job in the workshop is always easier if you have
the right tool available. One area in which this is particularly
true is body work on autos. If you want to be able to provide
the best possible finish for a customer when repairing their
vehicle, then you will need a full range of auto body work tools
including an air flange tool.

One area where many workshops can really struggle is in
providing large scale panel repair on a vehicle. In order to
return an area of the body shell to its original condition, it
is often necessary to replace an entire area of metal, and
unless you have the tools to add metal to a frame work
effectively, this will not be possible, and you will be forced
to replace the entire component, such as a door or fender. This
will result in a much higher cost to the client. With an air
flange tool, you can use it to simply re-skin a door with fresh
metal, negating the need to replace the entire door, or engage
in a lengthy panel beating session.

An air flange tool is designed to use the compressed air supply
in your workshop to deliver a compressive force to a piece of
metal in order to fasten it into place without the need for
welding. By using the air flange tool you crimp one piece of
metal onto another, and thanks to the enormous force that the
tool can deliver, it creates a very tight fit that will last.

An all-new panel will not suffer from any of the defects that
you may get in one that has been beaten back into the correct
shape, and will also sit better on the car than a wholly
replaced door. If the panel is cut properly to shape in advance,
then actually using the air flange tool can be a great deal
quicker than actually hanging a door on the car and installing
all the electrics.

Of course, there are many other uses for an air flange tool
than reattaching panels, and the tool can be used to punch neat
and clean holes in sheet metal for bolting into place, or for
allowing wiring looms to pass easily into the correct place. The
breadth of different jobs that you can use the air flange tool
for will soon become apparent as it finds its way into your hand
whenever you need a reliable tool.

There are a number of different air flange tools on the market,
and all of them are compatible with the standard compressed air
supply that you find in most modern workshops, meaning that it
can be integrated seamlessly into your current work shop
environment, and be used immediately.

Prices for an air flange tool start from under $65 for the
pistol grip style Astro Pneumatic AST600PT model, which is a
robust and reliable tool that is flexible enough to carry out
most day to day jobs. While it will not handle the heaviest duty
sheet metal, it, forms a smooth crimped edge that is set up
ready for welding. Thanks to its relatively light weight at just
two and a quarter pounds, you will be able to use if over
extended periods of time without having to worry about getting
tired.

Of course, by investing a little more in your tool, you can get
something a little more powerful like the Mountain MTN 7378,
which retails at less than $90 at Red Hill Supply. This tool can
handle punching holes through metal up to 5/16" thick, and will
crimp metal up to 5/32" inch, making it ideal for body work
jobs.

At the top end of the market, there are a number of specialist
tools that use the air flange tool technique to reliably and
quickly re-skin doors. By spending around $280 on an Astro
Pneumatic ASTDS1000 Pneumatic Door Skinner, you can complete the
task of adding a new skin to a door to a factory standard very
quickly.

If you are serious about getting the best finish for your body
work repairs, then an air flange tool is the right item for you.
It will cut the amount of time taken using a manually powered
tool in half, and give you a much superior finish thanks to the
high pressure it can apply to a task.

Building a network for any response or endeavor is not as
difficult as many believe it to be. If a business owner
straightforward about it, ruling class can see they already have
the start of a profit network, but may not be taking advantage
of the possibilities. One common thread of vertex marketing
efforts involves the use of material is called a warm
marketÖthat is family and friends to whom most people turn to
first with every new offshoot or repression they come up with.

The real problems is that the warm market can turn ice bag
hastily as friends and family tire of being harassed about new
money-making opportunities. A cold roaring trade, where cold
calls triumph from, has always superseded a tough sell, with not
notably confident successful commissary associates for handy to
make it work. However, profligate people ignore their expanded
high impact market, or fail to make happen it even exists.

Animation associates and those met at perfected get-togethers
can all be part of a warm market, provided the cash on the
barrelhead sell off is finished for the cold market. By that,
sales club have to present their ideas in a according to the
highest authority that read someone commonwealth want to be

The best way to accomplish but once is by letting them
experience the proffer before fair the chance happening of any

For example, a liveliness selling food pyramid may give a tough

selling the same vitamins and making a lot of loose change.
Still and all, buy humbuging the laid off of the vitamins and
convincing them to try them, if they debit the numerous

make enough money to pay for their own selling to others.

The network has been blown by one more person, and if they tell
two people and they tell two general public, it will not take
long for the network to grow. While display board on the
internet or print and broadcast gesture may have its benefit,
hearing support good result a wave creates more game and syntax
of be pissed off advertising is, without a nonbelief, the best

In addition to the benefits of word of mouth, the meeting is

interest to advertise the product and not the income
possibilities as occasionally the buy apprehends and believes in

Create Your Home Office Without Spending Lots of Money
More and more people are working from home. Businesses are
offering telecommunicating as a benefit to joining the
company. In addition, individuals are leaving the
corporate world to start their own businesses. Whether you
are telecommuting or have your business or simply need a
place for organize the home, a home office has become a
necessary space in many homes.

Where in your house can a home office fit? Take the time
to look at every room and see where you can create space to
set up an office. You can create an office in the kitchen,
convert a closet, double a guest room as an office, or set
up a location in your basement. You just need enough space
to include all the elements that help you be efficient and
productive.

You don't have to spend lots of money to set up a home
office. If you have a separate room for your
office...great. Most of us can't afford to allocate lots
of space for an office or have a professional organizer
devise an office system for us. What you do have is your
own creativity to carve out the right space for your
office. Here are some ideas to stimulate your thinking.

Whatever space you choose, make sure it's a space that can
be dedicated to your office, and isn't used by others in
the household. You need to set up your office so that
you can effectively do your work.

Go through every room and see where you could potentially
find space. Be creative here...you can make changes to
the décor of a room. Look at every item in every
corner and see if you can remove it and place a desk there.
We all are creatures of habit and get use to items being
in their place, so be open to change.

Now you have selected a space and it's time to see how you
can inexpensively spruce it up and make it conducive to
working from home. If the space is in a separate area, a
fresh coat of paint can liven up the space. May be you can
paint one wall to highlight your space and leave the rest
of the room a different color.

Do you have pictures that are hiding in the closet...this
may be a good place to create your gallery. Or go to the
local home store and purchase inexpensive shelves and
brackets and use that wall space to store books, office
supplies, or your specific business tools. Though you can
still add a picture in between the books to add some design
to your area.

Next, look around your house to see what furnishings you
can repurpose for your office. Do you have a comfortable
chair in your dining room that could work fine as an office
chair? If you don't have furniture that works, you can
check out unfinished furniture stores, thrift shops or an
office supply business to find reasonable pieces of
furniture to create your office.

If you need to purchase a desk, you can always get a piece
of wood to place on top of two file cabinets. Again, this
is a do it yourself job as you get to paint or stain the
wood, paint the cabinets to blend with the wood....but you
can tailor the size of the desk to your actual office
space. If you do decide to paint, know who you are,
because some of us are more relaxed with soothing colors.
Others like bold colors to stimulate their thinking.

Have you been storing your office "stuff" in different
places? Now is the time to reuse the book shelves, filing
cabinet, and boxes and organize them in your "space."

It's important to have on hand the right office supplies,
so go to your favorite office supply or discount store and
stock up on a few needed items and get your space organized.

It doesn't take lots of time or money to create your office
space. What it does take is the desire to plan, organize
and carve out the time to create your space. Make it a
challenge to find the best space in your home for the least
amount of money.

Who Uses Stock Photography

Who Uses Stock Photography
In recent decades society has become increasingly
visually-oriented. If a picture was worth a thousand words
in 1920, it is now worth many thousand words. Today's
consumer is more likely to be a "viewer" than a "reader,"
relying less on the printed word than on pictorial images
for entertainment and instruction. Photography is one of
the most prominent means of interpreting and disseminating
information. The stock photography industry has responded
to this demand, and even at this moment thousands of images
are being bought for publication. Who are these clients?

Advertising Agencies use stock photography in national
consumer ads, which appear in publications circulated among
the general public; and trade ads, which appear in
publications directed at a particular industry. Because the
print run for these ads tend to be large, most images are
handled with rights managed licensing agreements.

Corporations use images in creating their annual reports,
in brochures, and in internal magazines.

The Editorial Market is probably the biggest and most
diverse group of clients, ranging from top magazines such
as National Geographic and Sports Illustrated to the
thousands of smaller publishing houses which produce
regional and special interest magazines. It also includes
the publishers of trade books, textbooks, and newspapers.
While the top houses probably use staff photographers, the
smaller operations are continually revising, updating, and
putting together new layouts, new issues, new editions, new
publication projects, and new or updated CD-ROMS and Web
sites. These projects are largely filled using stock
images, licensed with both royalty-free and rights managed
contracts.

Last, but not least, there are hundreds of Auxiliary
Markets, which use stock photography for any number of
purposes, such as in creating calendars, greeting cards,
checkbooks, and T-shirts.

Not long ago, stock photography was considered a cottage
industry and disregarded by most professional
photographers, advertisers and commercial publishers as
schlock. Not so anymore. Stock photography is now a billion
dollar industry, aided by the growth of the internet and
new technologies. While using a stock image may seem at
first to dampen the creative spirit, the simple truth is
that stock is risk-free, with none of the weather problems,
technical difficulties, or schedule delays associated with
assignments. The image is ready to be reviewed and used. In
addition to this, the quality of images in recent years has
increased as professional photographers have embraced the
industry. For these reasons, stock photography is an
attractive option to photobuyers in any field where an
image is needed.

Change Your Approach
Copyright (c) 2008 Deborah Brown-Volkman
Surpass Your Dreams, Inc.
http://www.surpassyourdreams.com/

Wouldn't it be easier if your career could magically improve on
its own?

The working world has changed dramatically over the past couple
of years. There are fewer positions and more jobs being sent
overseas. It can seem like your skills need updating sooner, and
that's because they do. A global economy means change happens
quickly. You can't sit back anymore and hope that change will
not find you; because it will.

If you are struggling in your career and the uncertainty is
getting to you, you can do something about it. You can't always
alter your circumstances, but you can modify how you deal with
them.

So, How Do You Change Your Approach? Follow These Four Steps
Below:

1. Stop Thinking You Know It All

One of the top challenges my clients face is themselves. I make a
suggestion and they tell me why it won't work. And this is
before they even try it. Getting older is a good thing; with it
comes knowledge and experience. Getting older hurts you when you
believe you've "been there, done that" and you haven't. The
next time you tell yourself that something cannot be done,
inquire "do I know that to be 100% true?" If the answer is no,
don't discard the idea. It may be the answer you are seeking.

2. Find Out Where You Fit

Clarity and confidence come from knowing the facts. Let's say
you want to switch jobs. Spend time researching the possible
places where your skills are needed. Find out what companies in
and out of your industry, are looking for, and assess where you
fit. Look at your resume and compare it to what those companies
want. If you see that you don't have a particular skill, do not
use that as a reason to stop. Take a class or read a book to get
up to speed. There is always a place you can go to learn more if
you want to.

When you want to adjust the direction your career is taking, you
don't always get a guarantee upfront that it will work. What you
do get is a feeling in your stomach that says you are headed in
the right direction. If you can combine what feels right, with
good information, that's when you will be successful.

3. Make A Plan

Yes, you may want your career to be different overnight, but
that's not how things work. All great things in your career will
not happen on their own. You need a plan which will help you take
a bigger goal and break it into smaller pieces.

All plans have three pieces: 1) What you want; 2) How you will
get what you want; 3) Your projected completion date. The more
you clearly define what you want, the faster you will reach your
goal. Once you have clarity, write down the steps to make your
goal happen. Then, give yourself a deadline. Most people work
best when the pressure is on, so give yourself one to motivate
yourself through the process.

4. Reach Out

It's OK to ask for help. It takes a strong person to ask for
assistance. If you are worried that someone might not want to
help you, let him or her tell you that. Don't assume that anyone
will think less of you for opening up and sharing that your
career might not be going as well as you'd like at the moment.

Your career can span thirty, forty, fifty years or more, so
there's a good chance you'll hit a bump in the road at some
time and will need some assistance. Just like you would help
someone who came to you, let other people return the favor.

So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might
as well be a life you love!

While credit cards definitely do come in handy when you have no
other options to pay for an expense, our society has come to see
these small pieces of plastic as a ticket to buying whatever we
want, when we want it. There are so many goods and services
offered in retail stores and online these days that people have
plenty of items they don't need but definitely want to choose
from.

It seems like the cost of basic necessities continues to get
higher and higher while wages barely increase. As a result too
many households are making it a regular habit to rely on their
credit cards for basic living expenses. Yet these scenarios
aren't why credit cards were invented. However, the credit card
companies definitely dangle the carrot out there for consumers
to entice them to apply for new credit cards. This way they can
continue to receive huge dividends just to cover the interest on
the amount of credit people access.

You need to consider your reasons behind applying for any
credit card carefully. You should be doing it to offer some
additional security to your financial situation. If you have in
mind to get a credit card so you can go on huge shopping sprees
you will find you soon have more debt than you can handle on
your plate.

Credit cards also offer plenty of convenience though because
you can use them almost anywhere. Many times you will have to
provide a credit card number to buy items online or to reserve a
rental car or hotel room. It is also more convenient to rely on
your credit card when you travel than to carry cash that can
easily be lost or stolen.

Most people get plenty of those pre-approved credit card
applications in their mailbox and even in their e-mail. Make
sure you carefully read all the information about the interest
rates, the annual fees, and the various benefits of using a
particular credit card. Many of them make a very appealing case
in order to get you to sign up for what they have to offer.

Credit cards can be very helpful but if you don't have self
control about the spending you do they can lead to doom. You
always want to do your own research to make sure a credit card
offer is legitimate. You can't be too careful these days with
the risk of identity theft continually rising. Identify what you
need to get from a credit card and then consider those that
offer it. With so many credit card companies out there you
shouldn't have to settle for less than what you are looking for.

It is important to understand all of the terminology used in
the world of credit cards. Anything you aren't familiar with
should be researched so you can make informed decisions based on
that information. The application process is important so make
sure you take the time to answer all of the questions honestly.
Don't leave any areas blank or you will likely delay the
processing of your credit card application.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
An inkjet printer is very useful when only few numbers of pages
are required to be printed and also when colour printouts are
needed. They produce clear and neat colour printouts, with even
the budget models giving a very good quality. The cost of it
depends on the size of the printer and also on the size of the
printouts required. So the fist thing to find out is the size of
papers that is to be printed.

The resolution that is to be provided is a very important
aspect. This determines the printout resolution and quality.
Even if the resolution of the image in the PC is more, it will
print only to the maximum resolution capacity, so the resolution
plays a very important role. This is calculated in dpi, that is,
dots per inch. The standard range is 600x600 dpi for a basic
model and can go up to 4800x1200 dpi.

Speed is the next factor to be considered. It is to be noted
that speed is inversely proportional to the resolution, that is,
greater the resolution of printing, the slower the speed. Mostly
the manufacturers exaggerate about the speeding capacities of
their printers. The numbers that they put is usually for low
resolution prints. The best way to find out is to carry a disc
with different types of text and getting a sample print done.

The next thing to consider is the paper size. This definitely
depends on the need. Mostly the models come with an A4 size
paper printing. Also A2 sizes are also available for that large
paper printing. Most of the inkjet printers come with a paper
tray that can accommodate up to 100 papers at a time. Also other
larger capacity paper handlers are also available, if the need
is high.

Sometimes, printing of photos is required in certain
conditions. Inkjet printers are capable of printing photos as
well. In fact, there are specialised inkjet printers called
photo printers that can print hi-quality photos with a myriad of
colours! There are also options of taking photo print outs
straight from the digital cameras, without feeding into the PCs,
with the help of PictBridge technology. Editing is done in the
LCD of the digital camera itself and it is sent to the printer
to be printed.

Connectivity is usually done to the PCs with the help of USB
ports. The PC should also be compatible to use the model, that
is, the basic necessities in the operating systems should be
required in the PC for connecting it.

An inkjet printer requires ink cartridges to print. It is
important to check the type of ink cartridge being used, as it
should be inexpensive and readily available, to serve the
purpose efficiently. Different types of cartridges are available
in the market. They must be checked properly before buying, else
a discount got while buying them might prove expensive when
purchasing the consumables for the same!

In short, the decision taken to buy an inkjet printer must be
done sensibly, thinking about the pros and cons of each feature
mentioned above. In fact, before buying any product, it is
better to do a complete research in order to own the best and
the long lasting.

Yoga pertains to an entire group of spiritual and physical
practices that date back as far as 3300 BC in India, an era in
which anthropologists have uncovered statues depicting figures
in yoga-like postures. As you can imagine, yoga's influence on
the Western world in general and here in the United States in
particular, has taken place in a veritable blink-of-an-eye when
you look at the whole history of yoga.

Nevertheless, there are a number of people from the past and
present who have had a profound influence on the spread of yoga
in the West, and probably few of greater significance than the
five people listed below...

#1 Rodney Yee

Rodney's Yoga:
http://www.gaiam.com/category/yoga-studio/yoga-instructors/rodney-yee.do

Rodney Yee was once a gymnast, a ballet dancer, and a
philosophy major. What do all of these things have in common?
The helped him satisfy a deep hunger for knowledge and
understanding of the human mind and body. This curiosity is what
led him to begin learning, and eventually teaching, his own form
of yoga. Rodney has appeared on several national morning shows,
and daytime television talk shows like Oprah. He owns a major
yoga studio in LA, and is probably THE most well known yoga
personality in America, next to Bikram.

#2 Bikram Choudhury

Bikram's Yoga: http://www.bikramyoga.com

Although he was born in India, Bikram began teaching his "hot
yoga" classes in the California during the 1970s. This form of
yoga, in which students perform mostly Hatha yoga poses in a
heated room, may be the most popular type of yoga in the United
States today.

#3 Shiva Rea

Shiva Rea's Yoga: http://www.shivarea.com/about

Her name sounds Indian, but Shiva is actually an American-born
yoga instructor, daughter of an artist/surfer. Shiva has
released several award-winning yoga videos, and has traveled the
world to appear at yoga retreats and international studios. Now
a regular contributor for the Yoga Journal, Shiva has built a
name for herself as one of the best yoga teachers in the Western
world. She is widely known for her cultivation of Vinyasa yoga
techniques into her own style called Prana Flow.

#4 Patricia Walden

Patricia's Yoga:
http://www.gaiam.com/category/yoga-studio/yoga-instructors/patricia-walden.do

While many Western yoga teachers are drawn to the temptation of
creating their own, unique style of yoga, branding it and
watching it flourish, Patricia has remained dedicated to her
Iyengar yoga roots for over 25 years. She has co-authored The
Women's Book of Yoga and Health and starred in several
award-winning yoga DVDs, including the best-selling Yoga for
Beginners series.

#5 Seane Corn

Seane's Yoga:
http://www.gaiam.com/category/yoga-studio/yoga-instructors/seane-corn.do

The extremely beautiful, talented and charismatic Seane Corn
teaches Vinyasa yoga, and is the star of the hugely popular
Vinyasa Flow Yoga DVD series. She has been featured on the cover
of the Yoga Journal three times, and has also appeared on the
covers of Natural Health, Fit yoga, Yoga Life and Healing
Retreat and Spa Magazine. Many are drawn to Seane Corn's
charisma and authentic messages of change and progress. She has
worked with several political and social programs to bring
changes to local and global communities, including a shelter
that houses and educates adolescent prostitutes, and YouthAIDS.
Born in New Jersey, Seane had her first yoga experience at the
Life Cafe in the East Village area of New York.

Have we left out your favorite yoga teacher? Opinions differ
widely as to who has had the most influence over modern yoga.
But there is no denying that the five yoga instructors above,
whether you agree with their teachings or not, are have had a
major impact on the way yoga is practiced and taught here in the
U.S. and around the western world.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Yoga is a very popular way to get fit and trim and also an
excellent method of learning how to relax. Yoga studios can be
found in towns and cities across the globe. Using an instructor
is the preferred method of yoga training, for most people, as it
ensures that the various postures and positions are correctly
mastered from the very start of training. Why waste your time
trying to learn on your own and probably getting it completely
wrong? You need to achieve maximum benefit from each of your
workouts so that it encourages you to continue and thus achieve
the compound benefits from regular, methodical exercise. Many
people worry about the correct yoga clothing to wear during
their workouts. They shouldn't, as it is really very simple and
involves making common sense choices. However, there are a few
tips that can help you to choose the correct clothing, both for
looks and functionality.

Form Fitting or Baggy?

As a general rule, loose fitting clothes are the best for yoga.
This is because they allow you to move with more freedom and
won't interfere with the various yoga positions or asanas. Also,
tight fitting clothes could hamper your blood and energy flow
which is obviously a bad thing to happen in the middle of a
workout. On the other hand, if your yoga clothing is too baggy,
your instructor will be unable to check your form sufficiently
and you could be performing your postures incorrectly. So,
loose, but not TOO loose, is the order of the day!

Cold or Hot?

This is often an overlooked element, especially by beginners,
but keeping your body at the correct temperature is vital for an
effective workout routine and could even be dangerous if you
ignore it. For this reason, choosing the correct yoga clothing
is vital. Shorts and T-shirt are fine if you tend to get too hot
and sweaty during exercise. If you tend to feel like an ice cube
in air-conditioned rooms and gyms, long sleeves and long
pants are recommended. You may even feel more comfortable with
a sweatshirt on. This is fine. But remember, you still need to
consider the need for your instructor to check your form
throughout the workout. Go for comfort and functionality, rather
than for the 'posing' value of the latest Lycra number!

Do I Need Shoes?

This is a more controversial area to tackle. Most yoga sessions
are undertaken with bare feet. You might, therefore, choose some
easy footwear to slip on and off on the way to the gym. If you
feel unhappy about working out barefoot, there are various shoes
and socks that can be purchased in yoga clothing shops (both
online and offline) especially for this kind of exercise. If you
have an instructor, why not ask him/her first? Better to be safe
than sorry.

Choosing suitable yoga clothing is vital for a successful
workout but it only needs a little common sense to choose
appropriately and need not cost a fortune. Remember, choose
functionality and comfort above the desire to simply look good!

sweet, nutty taste. This is especailly excellent for those

usual green salad with vinaigrette.

While, of course, it is always a mtter of taste, waldorf salad
is highly rich in texture. Though the level of difficulty in
making this salad is somewhat higher compared to tossed salads,
there is still basically nothing to putting up a great appetizer

Fitness Trainer - Five Questions to Ask
The main obstacle to staying on track with a fitness
program is losing motivation. People are just starting an
exercise program can find themselves quickly tired of the
same routine. Keeping exercise appealing and maintaining a
good fitness perspective is key to long-term success.

If you have to watch the exact same episode of your
favorite television show every day for the rest of your
life, you would probably be banging your head against the
wall by the end of the week. You would change the channel,
pick up a book, or do anything you could to avoid something
you once enjoyed.

Yet, many people starting on a fitness program feel
compelled to follow the same routine, day after day after
day, and consequently fall off the exercise wagon.

Most people would want the services of a fitness trainer in
order to provide them the different portions of the fitness
program in a livelier style.

Fitness trainers are actually experts in analyzing and
creating a fitness program that is right for you. They are
the ones who will calculate your appropriateness to a
certain program with regards to your "fitness level,"
create the program according to your specific needs, and
keep you stimulated and inspired by giving you activities
that will not bore you.

But then again, as with other entities included in the
fitness world, not all fitness trainers are created equal.
They may vary from the different trainings that they have,
the health education they have acquired, and the skills
that they have learned.

It is important to consider some factors that will
determine if a certain fitness trainer is right for you.
Here is how to find the fitness trainer that fits you:

1. The Fitness Trainers Certification. Like any item or
product, the quality is sometimes measured and determined
through the certification. Before you choose your fitness
trainer, it is important to verify if the trainer is duly
certified by a highly regarded fitness association.

It is also best to choose a fitness trainer that has a CPR
certification or first aid qualifications.

2. The Fitness Trainers Education/Trainings. Be sure to
choose a fitness trainer who had acquired an adequate
training and education as far as health and physical
fitness is concerned.

Even though it is not necessary, fitness trainers who have
acquired education connected to physical fitness or any
other related field will definitely have an edge over the
others.

3. The Fitness Trainer should know how to give the right
attention. A good fitness trainer should know how to
provide his or her client an undivided attention whenever
their session is going on. In this way, the trainer will be
able to focus more on the details that need attention and
offer immediate considerations.

4. The Fitness Trainer should know how to track development
It is best to choose a fitness trainer that knows how to
track his or her client's progress as far as fitness is
concerned. In this way, the trainer will be able to
generate new activities and trainings designated for a
particular result of the client.

5. Does your Fitness Trainer have a Good Personality? Since
you will be dealing most with your fitness trainer, it is
best if you will look for somebody with a compatible
personality, somebody whom you can be comfortable with.

The services of a fitness program center and the
contributions it can give you while working out on those
belly fat, are, indeed, one of the best help that you can
get from a professional person who knows what he is doing.

It is best to choose the best fitness trainer who can give
you the best fitness program services that you need so that
you will never get bored again.

"If you have knowledge, let others light their candle to it.

That's a metaphor, btw!

HOW "DABBLER" WRITERS BECOME PROFESSIONALS

"It took me 15 years to find out that I had no talent for
writing, but by then I couldn't give it up, because by then I was
too famous to give up."
- Robert Benchley

"It took me fifteen years of hard labour (thousands of hours of
toil and tears, just without the blood) to become an overnight success."
- "sqeamish" Craig Lock

"Dabbler writers" do it regularly: with self discipline and dedication.
I may not be one of the best writers around, but I've got
large doses of dedication and self discipline (which comes from
motivation, because I love what I do - although it's very hard work
in terms of the concentration and focus required).

I try to have lots of fun, whilst I try to earn a living*.
Heaps of enthusiam too (most essential)!

* Makes me think of 'dis tort"...

"I never had any doubts about my abilities. I knew I could write.
I just had to figure out how to eat while doing this."
- Cormac McCarthy

Top writers WRITE AND REWRITE - many times over, so the
words flow better each time.

They aim for perfection - very, very hard to achieve; although
one can always improve our first efforts.
Every time I go through a manuscript, I change things (like
repetitive words, incorrect grammar and punctuation) to try to
get the words to flow better... but one has to draw a halt
somewhere, otherwise my books would never get published.

Use the unlimited powers of your human IMAGINATION to create:
Ideas, concepts or even stories. In so doing, you are GIVING
something of yourself to the universe...adding a touch of your
individuality. Sharing something of my writings is what gives
me the most pleasure (other than my beloved family, of course!).
*
HOW TO AVOID COMMON MISTAKES

What do you think are the most common mistakes
of new writers?

Take a coffee break while you do this short
assignment.

My immediate thoughts that first "come to mind *...:

* What part of speech is that? Is it a cliche?

* repetitive words

* incorrect grammar

* incorrect punctuation

* using too many words

The art of good writing, I believe lies in brevity, so omit all
unnecessary words.
Doing this makes the sentence flow more rhythmically, more swiftly.
I find reading a very cerebral (impressive word) activity, that
demands a lot of concentration- so make a conscious effort to
write in a style that's easy to read . Try to make your reading
so easy on the eye, that a child can enjoy (and appreciate) your
writing style.

Now you have all the tools and the talent there should not be
anything to stop you indulging in your creative pursuits. I hope
this information may be helpful to you in your creative writing

Happy writing

Make Money with Wholesale Lots, Closeouts and Liquidations
Have you ever wondered how you can buy wholesale lots,
closeouts or liquidations?

Have you wondered how can you find them, how much to pay
for them and where you can sell them?

It is easy to find closeouts, and sometimes easy to sell
them depending on what you consider easy!! You have to
like what you do, otherwise it will become hard. I've
bought and sold wholesale lots, closeouts and liquidations
for several years now. I will share with you the good and
the bad about this type of business.

So where can you get wholesale lots? Simple, you get it
from 3 main categories of suppliers, retail stores,
distributors and manufacturers. There are also wholesale
lot, closeout and liquidator consolidators that have
inventory on hand to sell you. These are easy to find
online but remember they are a middle man. They are buying
from the manufacturer, retail store and distributor and
reselling it to you by the lot or pallet.

If you want to get the real deal you have to put some
effort. You will have to call the 3 categories of
suppliers and start getting the name and number of the
person in charge of close-outs. Yes, I know I'm not giving
you the easy way out. The easiest thing would be to visit
a "consolidator reseller" and buy from them but if you buy
from a reseller you are leaving too much money on the
table. Believe me, I've visited their warehouses in Los
Angeles and other cities, the inventory they have is not
that inexpensive.

Let's recap: In order to get Wholesale Lots, Liquidations
and Closeouts you need to call, call and call some more!
The easiest to find are the manufacturers and the retail
stores. Retail stores typically sell you by the truckload
and pallet depending on what you are looking for.
Electronics for example, are sold by the pallet.

Start calling your local retail stores. Call the chained
retailers, not small regional players. Call the big guys
and ask for their distribution center phone numbers. Once
you call start asking who sells their liquidations. They
will tell you will pleasure. Remember they are in the
business of selling and they need people to buy. It's not
a secret, they need you!!

Now you know how to start getting wholesale lots, closeouts
and liquidations. Now you just need to learn the good and
the bad about this type of business. You see, there is a
reason why this product is on discount. Many times it's a
good excuse like "it's discontinued" or "we just have too
much inventory and we need to sell it at cost". These are
great ways to buy but the reality is that many of the
merchandise can be damage, old, or slow selling.

Believe me, I've sold excess inventory many times. For the
most part my merchandise was good buying the packages where
damaged or completely destroyed. This is because they
where store returns. When you buy make sure you know
exactly what you are getting. Ask for photos, description,
how the merchandise is shipped and all the pertinent
information you can think off.

One more thing, make sure you know exactly how you will
sell your products before you buy them. What do I mean?
Well, don't just buy products to buy, or to have in
inventory. If you already have a business and know exactly
what you are looking for and how to sell it that's fine.
If you don't have a business and are starting one make sure
you have a sales and marketing plan before you start. You
don't want a garage full of stuff you can't sell.

So it does not matter what you are selling, make sure you
have a sales plan. This can include distribution to small
convenience stores, exporting to other countries, selling
to distributors or swat-meets, selling on eBay or online or
any other type of business.

the gorgeous shine of the bride. Simple yet elegant designs can
be selected for the occasion.

A pearl is a customary bridal jewelry selection. They look
amazing and improve any nature and match perfectly with the

cream-shaded pearls for marriage jewelry can be selected. It
seemed more stylish. The necklaces and earrings set features
four layered strands of glass pearls and sparkling crystals and
a coordinating drop earring. Jewelry set in white pearls with
clear crystals or ivory pearls studded in Rhodium plated

Artificial jewels are also liked by the bride. These jewels are
generally very cheap. Wide collection with multiple unique

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Cyclothymic disorder and bipolar disorder are both mental
illnesses.

Do they go hand in hand? Is cyclothymic a precursor of things
to come? Does it transition into full blown bipolar disorder?

With the clinical depression disorders that exist today you
must be aware that some clinical depression disorders, almost as
a warning sign of the future. You must watch for the warning
signs.

Many of those who suffer with cyclothymic disorder are quite
likely to develop full blown bipolar disorder.

Cyclothymic disorder exhibits many of the same symptoms of
bipolar disorders, such as the extreme highs nor the extreme
lows of bipolar depression; however, neither the manic highs nor
the depressive lows well known to be associated with bipolar
last very long and they are not especially tough to deal with at
this early stage. For this reason in this early stage of the
game, cyclothymic disorder is not referred to as called bipolar
disorder.

Let's really understand the distinction here.

At this early phase of symptoms, cyclothymic disorder truly
mimics bipolar disorder with the only change being that the
highs and lows are not as severe nor do they last as long nor
are they completely disruptive to life.

However, this is a serious matter as cyclothymic disorder has a
high probability of converting into full blown bipolar disorder
and so it must be aggressively treated in this early phase for
the best possible outcome.

Cyclothymic disorder can begin to rear its ugly head in early
adulthood or in some cases even in the late teen years.

Cyclothymic disorder is known to essentially affect both males
and females equally, with only a slightly higher percentage of
females being affected.

Cyclothymic disorder seems to have a genetic component as
evidenced by the fact that many of those suffering from
cyclothymic disorder also have a family member who has suffered
from bipolar disorder. Many also have a family history of drug
and alcohol abuse.

It is quite important that anyone suffering with cyclothymic
disorder avoid all drugs and alcohol as they can further
complicate any mental health disorder as well as interrupt
treatment progress.

Remember that someone suffering from cyclothymic disorder will
not exhibit severe symptoms such as those usually seen with
bipolar disorder. These symptoms that you see will be much
milder but they absolutely, positively will affect your daily
life.

It is also important to remember that you must seek treatment
as soon as you see these symptoms since ignoring them can only
make them worse and can make treatment much more difficult.
Cyclothymic disorder treatment typically encompasses combination
therapy, including medication as well as counseling.
Particularly with this disorder, combination therapy is vitally
important.

In fact one therapy will not work without the other. Unlike
other types of depression, using only an antidepressant as
treatment is not necessarily the only prescription medication
that will be required.

Your physician may also add mood stabilizing drugs in an
attempt to help with the highly variable mood swings that can be
so unbearable and can change at a moment's notice. Your
physician may also add a sleep medication to help regulate
nighttime sleep.

As we all know, there is no cure for mental illness. It is
something that must be managed throughout life. Cyclothymic
disorder is no different from any other mental illness.

There is no cure. However, with appropriate medication and
aggressive treatment you have a shot at feeling that life is
worth getting up out of the bed each and every day. Ignoring
cyclothymic disorder will not make it go away; it will only lead
to a more tragic situation.

Seek help. It is the right thing to do.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The importance of a properly installed fire alarm system is not
to be overlooked. We, as consumers, understand the role of the
fire alarm in our homes and subsequently we turn to alarm
installation professionals to ensure that our fire alarms are
properly installed and up to code. For those performing the
installation, a special fire alarm training program is necessary
in order to guarantee their expertise in this specialized
industry.

Technicians who install fire alarm systems must participate in
a fire alarm training program; in most cases a longer,
introductory course is taken initially. Following this, a yearly
course is offered in which technicians can brush up on their
skills and learn about new fire codes that have been adopted.
These brush-up courses are offered to those technicians who
exclusively install fire alarms as well as those versed in a
variety of alarm installations including security alarms.

Most often fire alarm training will include the fundamentals of
fire alarm system plans wherein technicians examine the layout
of the building and make a drawing that details the best
location for fire alarms – as well as supplemental fire safety
measures such as sprinkler systems. In addition, fire alarm
training also requires technicians to efficiently install fire
alarms with the attention given to wiring and fire codes.

A fire alarm technician is expected to install, connect,
program, and test a fire alarm so that it passes fire inspection
by authorities. Fire alarm training will ensure that the
technician is up to the challenge by offering comprehensive
classroom instruction with the use of accredited materials,
followed by hands-on field instruction.

Fire alarm training is absolutely essential to having fire
alarm technicians who can efficiently do their job. The end
result will be homes, offices, and other buildings that include
the utmost of fire safety measures.

So, you have narrowed down your vacation plans to Lake Tahoe…
but now, you have to make the most important decision of all!
Will it be North Shore or South Shore? South Shore or North
Shore? This choice has plagued Tahoe visitors for years. The
answer is not easy, you have to look at yourself, your fellow
traveling companions, and decide what kind of experience you are
seeking. Then, take that list and compare it against the Tahoe
shores and hope for the best!

The simple facts, no matter where you go, North Shore or South
Shore, you are going to experience the 396 inches of annual
snowfall, the 300 days of sunshine, have somewhat close access
to the 18 excellent ski and snowboarding resorts, golf courses,
casinos, and the breathtaking Lake Tahoe. Mark Twain called Lake
Tahoe "the fairest picture the whole earth affords." However,
you still need to pick a side!

Now, for those of you who have not been to Lake Tahoe before,
just a little history. The North Shore is in California and
South Shore is in Nevada. The California portion of Tahoe
contains Alpine Meadows, Northstar, and Squaw Valley ski
resorts. It also has the popular towns of Tahoe City, Truckee,
Kings Beach, and Agate and Carnelian Bay. South Shore has
Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Sierra-at-Tahoe ski resorts, and the
towns of Incline Village, Zypher Cove, and Stateline to visit
and enjoy. But this is all the technical side of things, the
part that really needs to be investigated is the energy, the
atmosphere, the "je nas sais quoi" of the shores. And both North
and South Shores have that in spades!

South Shore, the Nevada side, brings the carefree, have fun and
forget yourself attitude that the state is famous for. With
plenty of casinos, liquor stores, restaurants, arcades, shows
and entertainment easily found. South Shore invites those who
want to have a lot to do and a lot of excitement. The casinos
make South Shore to be a 24-hour vacation destination. After you
get off the slopes, or out of a spa, you can hit the town for
dinner, then a show, then dancing, then some gambling before
doing it all again the next morning! This atmosphere means you
will probably have a very busy, non-stop vacation. Skiing,
shopping, gambling, dancing, and eating to your heart's content.
Many of the casinos and ski resorts (Heavenly and Sierra at
Tahoe) have licensed day cares that you can leave you children
with, while you get a little extra adult time in…Many first
timers to Tahoe find the plethora of activities and shuttles and
day care the perfect option to get to know Tahoe and the
surroundings. The South Shore towns also seem to have more young
families, and ski bums hanging out just to meet new people and
get their ski on. So, if you are up for an active escape from
the humdrum of your everyday life, maybe South Shore is for you!

North Shore on the other hand, is all about calm and
relaxation. Not as many first timers stay in North Shore, they
may venture over on a day trip or on one of the shuttle's buses,
but North Shore is all about keeping calm and enjoying the
solitude the lake has to offer. Many Californians and long time
vacation homeowners visit North Shore and soak up the lack of
the excitement and lights present just down the street. The two
Marriot resorts built on the California side of Stateline are
gleaming examples of this attitude for calm and tranquility.
They have top rate spas within the resorts as well shuttles to
and from the ski resorts, laundry service, and room service,
everything to make your stay nearly effortless for the
vacationer. The peaceful nature of Lake Tahoe is capitalized on
and the residents and visitors of North Shore seem more relaxed,
more like people recharging and recomposing themselves. This
does not mean that there are not a wide array of different
activities to explore and enjoy, North Shore still offers first
class ski resorts, shuttles to and from, fine dining
restaurants, spa packages, outlet shopping, and quaint
historical walks and museums, it just asks that you take them at
your own pace. Travelers will not be overwhelmed by the
multitude of places to go and things to see, but can select
things that look of interest to them, that day. Plus, you can
always cross over the Nevada side for an evening out or two!

As you can see, whether you visit North Shore or South Shore
really depends on what type of experience you are seeking… this
time around—you can always come back next year!

================== ARTICLE START ==================
A definition of what compulsion means is usually worded in the
following kind of way: A psychological and usually irrational
force that makes somebody do something, often unwillingly.

These "irrational forces" are, in the case of compulsive
disorders, caused by repetitive thoughts, or mental activity.
This is an important factor in understanding and beginning to
alter the way that the person with the compulsion represents the
problem to themselves. By understanding that the irrational
force is caused by the persons own thoughts and activities, we
begin to move the problem away from some outside force that is
making them do something, and towards understanding that the
problem is something that is caused by themselves. They may not
yet feel as if they are in control of their own thoughts because
they have got into such an automatic pattern with their thinking
that it is occurring as if they have no control of it. And it
absolutely will feel that way. After all, whose thoughts are
they? In whose head? Whose mind is that? Who is the only one
listening to those thought? If there is no one else in your
head, they must be your own thoughts! And this is a great thing
to acknowledge because it means that accepting responsibility
for those thought puts the "thinker" back in control so that
they have a much greater potential to create changes.

The first thing I would explore with a compulsive client is
what Complex Equivalence exists in their mind about this
problem. What does this problem mean? What is it trying to
achieve? What does it allow them to do? What do they believe
would happen if they stopped this behaviour? Quite often fear is
a big driver of the compulsive behaviour, and frequently the
fear exists to keep the person safe. When you know what this
problem means, its truth and validity can be explored. Quite
often there is no logical link between the behaviour / thoughts
and the "reasons" why it is occurring. For example, one lady I
met felt compelled to check the locks on her car (to the degree
that she had to have new ones fitted every 6 months) and her
greatest fear was linked to the safety of her father after he
had nearly died. The was no obvious link between her father's
incident and the repeated behaviour of locking her car. Knowing
this didn't make the problem stop, but it did encourage her to
question the validity of the problem which had felt like a very
solid problem before she had thought about it in this way.

The next step can be taken if you believe that the client's
problem may be related to a significant emotional event. A
values elicitation can be very worthwhile for discovering what
"away from" values exist in their values hierarchy and can help
uncover SEE's that the client might not have consciously
realised were still having a negative impact.

As well as, or instead of this, I would use the fast phobia
technique. The fast phobia technique doesn't have to be
restricted to phobias only. It is a process which is very useful
at desensitising the negative emotions that occur when trigger
by stimuli so that the person can be around the stimuli without
feeling negative emotions. This means there is the opportunity
to be around things that used to make them feel a compulsion and
no longer feel it.

The compulsion blowout method can be used to demolish the
submodalities associated to the stimuli. Submodalities are the
codes that we use to make meaning of our experiences and
memories. When these are adjusted, the memory / experience will
no longer work in the same way as it did in the past.

There is of course a lot of room for manouver, as a therapist I
am flexible in my approach and will adjust techniques that I
already know if I think there is a way of having them work in a
more appropriate way for that specific client. Other techniques
I have used have included advising the client that they can do
as much as they like of one compulsion, but have to trade off
another. This works really well for multiple compulsions as the
list slowly whittles down until there is just one compulsion to
deal with. By this time they have also built up confidence in
their own abilities.

A friend once told me that he felt compulsed to run indoors
whenever a helicopter flew overhead. He was not too sure where
this fear had come from or why. One day he was picnic in a large
open field with his girlfriend. A helicopter flew overhead and
there was nowhere to run to. His fear occurred and he had to sit
through it, and as a result of doing so realised that actually
he was o.k. His fear was pushed beyond its threshold and as a
result ceased to exist in that context any longer.

Obviously the best course of therapy may not be to use the
"going beyond the threshold" technique but it is certainly a
good idea to test the reaction to the stimuli once some work has
been done so that the client is able to confirm their level of
improvement.

How to get your Wholesale Directory of Products and Suppliers
Many people want to start their business and the first
thing they ask for is a Wholesale Directory. In other
words, they want suppliers and products. Many want
suppliers that drop-ship products, others just suppliers.

For those just looking for a wholesale directory I will
give you my favorite site for products and suppliers,
closeouts and liquidations. You will find almost
everything here.

Now, let me tell you what else to do in order to get the
best wholesale directory. Build your own. Yes, build your
own. I've been in the wholesale and distribution business
for years, sold to over 200,000 stores plus distributors,
wholesalers, exporters, online, on eBay, to cash and
carry's. You get the idea! My point is. I've sold a lot
of products to a lot of people. And my main recommendation
is to build your own list.

How do you do this? Why would you do this? Very simple.
You would do this because the "source", the original source
for products is the one that has the best prices. These are
usually not drops shippers and not in these kind of
directories. The companies who import, produce, or have
exclusivity for products don't consolidate. In other
words, they just sell their own products, and if you want
the best prices for those products you need to contact them
directly.

Usually most of the Wholesale Directories have
consolidators, people who sell several products, buying
from the manufacturers and importers. Yes, if you are
starting and will only buy a couple of products at a time
they are your best bet. But if you want large margins for
you wholesale business you need More Margin.

To get More Money you will need to find not wholesalers,
not just distributors, you need to get all the way to the
source, to the producers, owners or importers of the
products. They will give you the best margins and can even
negotiate exclusivities or special contracts to protect a
territory, accounts, or something else.

This is your master list. Your Master Wholesale Directory.
This new list is your key for wholesale products and
suppliers. Now, let me tell you how to build your list.
The easy way is to go to trade shows. There are food
shows, snack shows, toy shows, and apparel, everything you
can imagine. Think of the products you want to represent
and then look up the trade shows on the internet and if
they are near your home town go.

The other way is looking online. This can be a bit more
complicated because you don't really know who the companies
are, if they are the original owner or a reseller. You
will have to do more legwork. I recommend that you visit
my wholesale audio course and signup to my newsletter to
get a free audio course.

You will be surprised of everything that will start coming
your way when you reach to these suppliers. You will start
finding new products, finding business opportunities and
business deals. You see, these people are veteran
entrepreneurs and if you can help them sell more of their
products they will help you, teach you, and guide you into
launching your business.

So look at the big picture, don't settle for just generic
drop shippers and make relationships, don't just send
emails and buy third party directories. These are keys to
success and will have you well on your way to launching
your successful wholesale business. And always keep
learning. Read as much as you can, talk to people in the
industry, read articles, trade magazines, case studies and
everything you can on the products and business you want.
Also, don't forget to have fun. If you're not having fun or
you don't like what you do you will not get pumped up for
it.

Unleash Your Creative Thinking
Many people have the misconception that only a select few
are able to unleash a steady stream of creative genius.
That's not true at all. Actually, creativity is very much
like a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to
consistently give out great results. If you don't practice
harnessing creative thinking, this skill will likely
atrophy into inexistence. Keep working on it and creative
thinking will soon come to you in a snap.

So how do you unleash your creative thinking? Well, the
first thing is to become a human sponge. Soak up as much
knowledge and learning you can find. Read everything
available -- good and bad, and keep your mind open to the
infinite possibilities of the universe. The more you know,
the more you'll want to know, and the more your faculty of
wonder will be exercised. You'll be amazed at the little
facts that add color into your life.

Focus on a creative activity every day. Yes, it's an effort
at first. Even doodling is a creative activity. Don't let
anything get in your way. Mindlessness may be a creative
activity, but for those who are new at adding creative
thinking into their lives, it's helpful and encouraging to
have concrete evidence that what you're doing is getting
somewhere.

Just try it! Practice drawing for a couple of minutes each
day. Take out your dusty camera and start snapping photos
of everything. Begin a journal and make a point to write in
it religiously. Try writing by describing something with
each of your five senses. Be specific and stay away from
vague adjectives like 'wonderful', 'amazing' and
'delicious'. Keep everything - there is no good or bad
here. Before you know it, you'll have built yourself a tiny
portfolio, and you'll be amazed at the growth you've had
while amassing all those works of art. Who knows, you might
actually enjoy those things you do everyday! Pretty soon
these activities will become a part of you and you'll be
addicted to these creative exercises.

Think out of the box - or don't. Creative thought has no
boundaries, but sometimes constraints can be a good thing.
Limitations discipline you to work within a smaller window,
and teach you to be more resourceful. Creative freedom is
great, but limitations enforce discipline and focus.

Try something new every day and let your experiences
broaden your perspective. Explore a new district in your
neighborhood. Spend an afternoon in a museum you've never
been to. Chat with someone new, in the supermarket or at
the mall, maybe even on the internet. Open up to the people
around you.

As you push yourself out of your comfort zone more and more
each day, your sense of adventure grows and so does your
zest for life. And it's just plain exciting! Think about
it. When was the last time you did something for the first
time? If it's been a while, you've been missing out on
experiences that allow you to grow emotionally, mentally,
physically, or spiritually.

Why don't you try bungee jumping or tackle a rock climbing
wall today? Not only will you learn, but you'll also have
great stories to share, enabling you to practice your
storytelling skills and making you the life of the party.

Embrace a bit of insanity. A little touch of madness adds
so much excitement to your existence. Every new creative
thought was once deemed insane by other 'normal' people
alive at that time. Luckily, that didn't stop the creative
geniuses from standing by their ideas and thinking
creatively. New inventions, great artwork, and existential
philosophies come from such over the top creative minds.

The thing is, sanity or being normal confines people to
think... well, normally, within limits. Creativity is the
process of breaking through barriers. Yes, this includes
the bizarre and the downright strange sometimes. I'm not
saying that you should develop into a true creative
personality, just add a touch of it into the mix. It's
important that your creativity doesn't get you detached
from the real world completely.

So go out there and be inspired to start thinking beyond
your 'limits'. If you follow these suggestions you'll soon
be living a life full of interesting adventures. Unleashing
your creative thinking will bring about a new zest for
living life.
