================== ARTICLE START ==================
If you are starting a bodybuilding program one of the best
things you can do is to study what the professionals do. You can
discover many tips and techniques from professionals that will
enhance your workout. They have done it, know what works and
have the great bodies to prove it, so why not copy them? You
really don't have to go it alone.

The following bodybuilding tips have been taken from experts
and cover areas that they say many bodybuilders tend to ignore
or overlook in their bodybuilding program.

1 Keep it all in proportion.

If you are trying for a truly sculpted look, proportion is
really important. One area that is often overlooked is the calf
muscles because they are relatively small to begin with and are
difficult to build. Just because they are difficult to work with
doesn't mean they are not important. The calves are just as
important as any other muscle in your body and can make you look
totally out of balance if they are ignored. Besides working them
with specific routines, using both wide and narrow stances when
lifting will help to hone the calf muscles.

2 Get a training partner.

This has been proven many times but is still ignored by many
bodybuilders. A training partner will help keep you motivated
and even share a few tips and advice now and then. And there is
nothing that stimulates you during a workout like a little
friendly competition that keeps you centered on your goals. Just
don't go overboard and end up with an injury because you let the
partner push you a little too much.

3 Don't bend over backwards for your deltoids.

The deltoids get a lot of work by most bodybuilders because
they are one of the most prominent muscle groups in the body and
respond very well to workouts. Good delts make you look
proportionally fit and trim. Lateral raises can pump up your
delts to new heights, but do these raises leaning slightly
forward. Many people builders have a tendency to lean slightly
backwards when doing lateral raises but the delts will not be
getting a full workout if you do this.

4 Proper nutrition is important.

A bodybuilder's best friend is what he/she puts into his body.
Get or develop a well-balanced diet and stick with it. Eat 5 or
6 smaller meals during the day rather than the traditional 3
larger meals. Maintain a good balance of proteins and
carbohydrates in your diet. A bodybuilder needs both. Carbs will
give you the quick energy and the protein builds the muscle
providing long-term sustained energy. And stay hydrated. Water
is critical to your metabolic process.

5 Supplements are important in building muscle mass.

The problem is that some bodybuilders want to cheat nature and
use a lot of chemical supplements. You do not need to do this.
The best nutrient you can put into your body to help grow muscle
mass is protein - not something from a drug lab. So look to
protein supplements. They will not only help pack on muscles but
they bring up your energy level so you will be able to do your
routines with more ease and feel a better sense of well being
during your rest periods.

6 Keep an open mind.

Always be open to new advice and tips. This does not mean to
jump from one program to another but we can always use a little
fresh insight now and then. Most bodybuilders love to share what
they have learned. Body building tips are everywhere. Ask the
buff guy at your gym for the one most important tip he can
offer. If you are sincere, you will end up getting many tips on
bodybuilding.

Being addicted to internet pornography or having a spouse who
is addicted to it is definitely a difficult situation to deal
with. However, there are different programs that you can join
that will provide help and support, which is a large part of
what it takes to get through a porn addiction. Here are some of
the best programs to help you stop internet porn addiction:

Recoveries Anonymous -
http://www.r-a.org/i-internet-porn-addiction.htm

This is an online program that focuses on the 12 steps in order
to help you get through your porn addiction. They welcome all
people, no matter what kind of problems they have. One thing
that is unique about this is that you can start your own group
on this site. So, once you have gotten through your internet
porn addiction, you can dedicate time to helping others get
through the same addiction that you suffered from. Who better to
help them? This is a great program for you or your spouse

Pure Online – http://www.pureonline.com

This is a 30-day program that caters to many different
individuals. With their men's workshop, men can find a
comfortable place to deal with their porn addiction and their
wives are able to receive telephone calls from a counselor to
help them deal with the issues they face. Having a husband who
is addicted to porn is very difficult and can almost make a
woman wonder what's wrong with her. This is the kind of thing
you get help with while your husband gets cured of his porn
addiction. There are also workshops for single women and single
men who are addicted to porn. There is also a ton of information
available on this website.

Wendi.com – http://www.wendi.com/html/porn_addiction.html

This is a website that offers help for porn addiction through
meditation and hypnosis CDs. There are four different CDs that
contain 13 hypnosis sessions aimed at helping you overcome porn
addiction and seek real and meaningful relationships, whether
they are with your spouse or with a new love. These sessions
cover letting go of the porn, healing, reconnecting, and much
more.

SASH - http://sash.net/content/view/47/52/

This is a great resource for people who are spouses of an
internet porn addict as well as people who are internet porn
addicts themselves. With this program, you can find out if you
truly are an internet porn addict, and you can find lists of
groups in your area. While many people find online resources
adequate enough to help them overcome their porn addiction, many
others want to participate in an actual group meeting where they
can speak to others face to face about their porn addiction.

A Place of Hope - http://www.aplaceofhope.com/internet.html

This is a resource for many different addicts, including
internet porn addicts. They work with the addict in a
family-oriented treatment plan. When the key is to stop porn,
it's also important to find value in the family and the marriage
or relationship that you have. This assists the porn addict in
finding help and hope for a cure to the addiction. They also
focus on the 'whole person' rather than just the pornography
aspect. This helps to find the root of the addiction and gives a
better chance for healing.

Search through the list of resources and programs above to find
something that is right for you. You don't have to live with
this addiction, whether you are the one with the problem or if
your spouse is the one suffering.

Hannah Montana provides the dream night out for girls, making
the cost of the concert tickets well worth it. The problem is,
Hannah Montana tickets sell out minutes after going on sell.
Given that fact it is obvious that many people are not getting
tickets to those concerts that would like them.

So to what extremes are people going to acquire those tickets?
As with any major concert some local radio stations hold
contests to give their listeners an opportunity to win tickets
to Hannah's concerts. Even some retailers have used this type of
publicity.

A Chicago-based store, Club Libby Lu, located at a mall in
suburban Garland, Texas (about 20 miles northeast of Dallas)
sponsored an essay contest. The prize was to include a makeover
that included a blonde Hannah Montana wig, airfare for four to
Albany, N.Y., and four tickets to the sold-out Hannah Montana
concert on Jan. 9th.

Obviously this was a prize that would make most little girls
ecstatic. Various essay themes were sure to a topic of
discussion in Garland as the girls hoped to win those elusive
tickets.

The winning essay was gripping indeed. It was written by a
mother and six-year–old daughter duo. It began with the powerful
line, "My daddy died this year in Iraq". It's easy to see how
that essay would have been chosen as the winner. The problem
was, it wasn't true. The entire essay was made up. Not only did
the little girl's father not die in Iraq, her father wasn't a
soldier.

The mother had told company officials that the little girl's
father died April 17th in a roadside bombing. She even had a
made-up name for him. But the Department of Defense had no
record of anyone with that name dying in Iraq. The mother has
admitted to the deception and has since apologized. She stated
that they were doing whatever they had to to win. It's been
reported that the prize was withdrawn from this duo.

In Florida a radio station held a contest for fathers. They
were required to wear a black dress, 2-inch heels and a blonde
Hannah wig while running through a mall doing some strange
things.

Another Florida radio contest consists of participants being
forced to listen to one song continuously for 24 hours a day for
a chance to win front row seats to a concert and a chance to
meet Hannah. Participants get food, water and bathroom breaks,
and the last person remaining in the room wins. Still another
contest consists of seven participants living in a Y-100 Ford
Expedition up to six days to win tickets and to get to meet
Hannah Montana.

With the scarcity of Hannah Montana tickets the contestants are
likely to go to extreme measures to win contests. Although
cheating should not be tolerated under any circumstances it is
easy to see how one could desire something so badly they would
take extreme measures to get it. This could include signing up
for contests that require participation in activities that one
would otherwise never consider. Hannah Montana has transformed
the way we think about and plan for concerts. Planning ahead is
essential!

Prevention has always been the best remedy for any kind of
ailment or infection. The same goes with nail fungus especially
since it takes a long time for nail fungus to be removed. Curing
it as soon as symptoms appear will prevent the infection of your
other nails therefore saving you of unnecessary pain and
trouble.

Nail fungus can infect anybody. Excessive sweating on your feet
and hands, defects in the nails and people with reduced immune
system are susceptible to nail fungus infections. However, it
does not mean that you have an immune system problem if you
develop a nail fungus infection. Moreover, it is contagious and
should be treated as soon as it appears. But do not fret, nail
fungal infections are treatable.

Here are some preventive measures you can do to avoid getting
nail fungus:

1. Wear protective shoes or slippers when you use public
facilities such as gym showers, locker rooms and swimming pools.
A lot of people use these facilities and you never know if
someone infected has just used the shower stall you are using.
Remember nail fungus is contagious.

2. Keep your nails clean, short and dry. Trim your nails
regularly and in a straight line. Dry your hands and feet
thoroughly after bathing especially in between your fingers and
toes. Fungi growth occurs mostly on damp areas.

3. Use anti-fungal sprays and powders in your shoes or on your
feet to eliminate any fungus that might be present. Avoid using
the same shoes everyday to give it time to air dry especially if
you sweat a lot. Same goes with your socks. If you sweat
excessively change your socks and alternate between open toed
sandals and closed shoes.

4. Wash your feet regularly and dry them well. Ditch the nail
polish to cover up an existing fungal infection. It may look
nice but it can trap the moisture and fungus in your nails and
make it worse.

5. Go to a reputable pedicure and manicure salon. Make sure
that they sterilize their instruments after every customer. Or
you can bring your own just make sure you sterilize them as well
even if you are the only one using it. It will keep fungal
growth at bay.

6. Wash your hands after touching or putting medication on an
infected nail. It can infect the other nails on your hands.

7. Don't pick at the skin around your nails or pluck
"hangnails" off of them. This might cause the skin to break and
give access to germs and fungi.

8. See a doctor at the first symptoms of nail fungal
infection. The earlier it is treated the better it is for you.

9. Eat a well balanced diet to keep your immune system
healthy. It will help you fight bacteria, viruses and germs that
can cause nail fungus.

As the old saying goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth an
ounce of cure." This holds true with nail fungus. It is always
wise to stick to some precaution that will bring you relief from
nail fungus infection.

The pet food manufacturers and the pet food industry have begun
to be more careful of what they are doing, due to the numerous
pet food recalls that have brought so much light to the industry
in recent months. Many pet owners have begun to conduct searches
about what their pets are consuming, and this search usually
begins on the internet. The key is to know which sites can help
an owner learn more about the pet food industry and the food
that is produced.

In order to learn all that one can about pet food manufacturers
and their products that may or may not have been recalled, one
should first locate the website www.fda.gov. Not only does the
FDA regulate the production of human food, but they also
regulate what is put into animal food. One can get the most
comprehensive information about all of the manufacturers that
were, and continue to be involved in the recall. This
information is not second hand, and is the best site for all
tainted pet food information on the internet.

Another great website for information regarding pet food
manufacturers and what they put into the food is
www.toptenlinks.com. Here a person can find the top ten
manufacturers and be directly connected to their websites. Even
though the majority of the top manufacturers have processed
foods for sale, a person can still feel safe in giving their
animals certain foods that are offered.

Pet food manufacturers have long been a source for the things
that pet owners need. Good pet food is essential to keeping our
pets safe and happy. If one is looking for the best food
available, then the first place to start looking is on the
internet. In doing so, a person can find the best information
about which food is right for their animal. Even though the
industry has dealt with recalls in the past, hopefully the
crisis is over and pet lovers everywhere can rejoice and feel
good about feeding their animals once again.

Unique Pet Food Supplies on the Internet

Pet food supplies come in all shapes and kinds. If one is
looking to make a statement about the uniqueness of their pet,
then purchasing the right supply of food and various accessories
can be a great way to show that difference. No matter what type
of pet one has, a person can find an endless amount of food
supplies either at their local pet food store or on the
internet. When looking on the internet, a person can feel
overwhelmed by the amount of websites devoted just to supplies
for pets in the home. However, if one knows what they are
looking for, then their search can be all that much easier and
quicker.

Petco is one of the largest retailers for pet food supplies.
What one may not realize is that their website is a great place
to find perfect accessories and unique items for that unique
animal that dictates one's life. Everything from cute food bowls
to pet fountains can be found at Petco. The good thing about
utilizing their internet site is that one can have the items
shipped directly to their house and therefore one never needs to
get out of one's pajamas. Shopping at one of the nation's
largest retailers has never been easier thanks to the ease of
the internet.

Another great place to find pet food products and supplies
online is www.petfooddirect.com. Here one can find a variety of
healthy natural foods. One can also find wonderful toys and
treats for dogs and cats, but also for fish, reptiles and birds.
This website not only provides perfect items for one's pet but
it also ships directly to one's home for a nominal charge. This
keeps an individual from hunting all over town for the location
that they read about on the net. A person should not miss out on
this wonderful website that is devoted to finding the perfect
supplies for one's beloved pet.

The internet can be a great source for pet food supplies. No
matter if a person is in search of healthy foods for their
beloved animal or they are just browsing a long list of sites
for that perfect food dish, one can never go wrong by checking
out numerous useful websites that are dedicated to helping pet
owners to have the healthiest and happiest pet on the block.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Personal style is very important in a woman's life, and a huge
part of that personal style is hair. Most women love styling
their hair according to the latest trend, or some would love to
be trend starters in hair style. This is the reason why women
get freaked out when they see a couple of more strands on their
hands every time they shampoo their hair.

But the fears on hair loss is not based on nothing, in fact,
each year the number of women forced to realize that their hair
is in serious decline is getting higher and higher. To quote the
American Academy of Dermatology, hair loss is a growing problem
nowadays. Hair loss affects an estimated 30 million women in the
United States of America alone. And some forms of hair loss
occur on early stages in life. To make matters worse, the number
of young women whose hair declines are increasing in rate. And
although very young and almost unheard of by most people, a
woman as young as 15 or 16 years old has developed hair loss
problems. And although not that common, or not rare, such issues
are matters to be looked at.

In order to know why and how hair is lost, it is better to
understand first the process of hair growth. According to
experts, our hair normally grows at the rate of one to one-half
in every month, and each single hair has a growth phase of two
to six years. In that time the hair would rest from growing for
a certain amount of time and then would eventually fall of from
the scalp. The follicle from which the fallen hair had formerly
depended on would immediately start growing a new hair strand.
This long cycle continues normally till our senior years come.

However some folks are unlucky to have a genetic disposition
when it comes to hair cycles. There is a group of hormones that
are called androgens, and this hormone interferes with the
natural cycle of hair loss and production. Androgen hormones are
said to include testosterone, dihydrotestosterone and
androsteinedione. All of the mentioned hormones come in large
amounts in men's bodies, and small amounts in women's bodies.

Since female hair loss (or alopecia) is unsightly and rare, the
young women whom have experienced such problems are hard to find
cures for. There are three types of hair loss in women.

The first is Alopecia, which happens because there is a problem
with the immune system. Under such conditions, the immune
systems attack the hair follicles, and when follicles are
damaged, they let go of the hair.

The second type of hair loss is traumatic alopecia which is
caused by too violent brushing, tying or braiding of the hair.
When the electric appliances such a flat irons or hot rollers
come too close to the follicles, the follicles get damaged thus
baldness occurs.

The third is Androgenetic alopecia, where androgen hormones
cause baldness to women, as the woman's body is not familiar
with too much androgen hormones.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
There is a role that is needed within the IT Management
Structure that is missing. In my opinion, this role could save
large corporations many millions of dollars per year while
contributing greatly to the overall health of all IT
departments, and their personnel. While working on muti-month
projects that report to senior management for corporations in
many countries, I have never see anyone holding this position or
performing this role.

THE PROBLEM:

In order to explain the role and where it fits in, we have to
do a very fast review of a typical IT Management Hierarchical
Structure. Please keep in mind that your organization may have a
variation of this design and it may not reflect your structure
exactly--but I bet it's pretty close.

Silos: (A concept, not a role.)

This is a term I first heard used by a colleague that was COO
for a major insurance organization. Silos are usually an
agricultural term for tall cylindrical storage structures
holding stores of grain. Basically, giant vertical cylinders.
This makes them a wonderful description of how many IT
organization's various departments work. Self-contained vertical
structures. They report up - but not sideways. Communication
with the other Silos happens via an entity or role that sits
above them. This is not helpful--but it is very common.

CIO:

Non-Technical Manager. Responsible for the business management
of the entire IT Department. Probably an MBA. Sometimes they
have had some technical training. They may have started their
career as an Engineer, but that was long ago and what they once
knew is long since obsolete. How could it be otherwise?
Technology changes so rapidly that as soon as an Engineer takes
on budgetary responsibilities--they will very quickly be mostly
dependent on the technical skills of their direct reports. This
would lead to an assumption that their direct reports have
technical skills--which is usually not the case.

Vice President:

VP and Director may perform the same role depending on the size
of the organization. (In Europe, Vice President is often a title
more equivalent to the "Lead" role in the United States.) Often
there are different VP's for different areas of the IT world
such as a VP of Infrastructure or Support--or some other "silo."
It is most often a non-technical role.

Director (or other Senior Manager):

Possibly Technical--but typically not. May have once had a
departmental "silo" skill set. However, may never have been
technical at all. Still essentially managing people, projects
and possibly budgets. It should be pointed out that this
particular role has the widest range of technical to
non-technical people. Some are highly technical, but it is not
the norm.

Middle Manager:

Runs a department like the Network Team, Server Team,
Development Team, etc.. A Technical Manager--but usually only in
a specific area of expertise. Ironically, since the career path
for such a person is moving into the more senior management
roles--which are non-technical--this individual is probably
working more on gaining business oriented skills than
technological skills. You may see them, for example, running a
technical department from a technical perspective, but going to
night-school for an MBA.

Engineer:

Highly technical. Works in a department like the Network Team,
Server Team, etc.. These are the people performing the technical
tasks. There are different levels here as well and what is
commonly referred as "The Lead" is usually the last technical
word within the Silo.

So, here are my questions:

Who is there in this management structure that has the
authority to task the Technical Managers and also understands
what those Technical Managers are doing? Often, no one.

Who is looking at the big picture from a purely technological
perspective? By this I mean, who is seeing how the processes of
one Silo affect the processes of another Silo--or Silos? Often,
no one.

Here is a very simple example. If the Network Team has placed a
small server that only serves one or two applications, into a
smaller switch--who is aware of the requirements of those
applications AND the fact that such a move is taking (has taken)
place? Would the Network Team know that this small server is
running at 80% utilization and is responsible for moving
enormous amounts of data? Maybe, maybe not. What would be the
effect of such a move? It wouldn't be pretty. Who would discover
the problem? Probably a business user...ouch!

Here is where change control comes into place but it is usually
a troubled process and designed with far too many holes. Few
organizations have meetings where all Senior Managers or their
Agents really sit down and review all changes for negative
impact on their area of responsibility, and discuss the
cross-over effects of such changes--horizontally. If they did
have such a discussion would it be candid? Would they be in a
political position to say, "hey, here is a much better way for
YOUR Silo to do that work." Most commonly such an act would be
political suicide and against most corporate cultures. So, the
concern usually ends up being, "does what you are doing hurt
me?" If so, speak up. If not, keep silent.

Does anyone in your organization have the technical skills AND
authority to provide that form of technical integration?

There is a commercial in the United States where a man stands
in a room of his home in a suburban neighborhood. We see him
flicker a light switch on and off. He then asks his wife,
"Honey, what does this switch do?" She shrugs. The next view in
the commercial is of his neighbor's garage door opening and
closing--again and again--on the hood of his neighbor's car.
Literally chewing it up! Unfortunately, this analogy works very
well for large enterprise networks.

The Middle Manager is often the highest level of Manager that
understands the technology from the technical perspective (as
apposed to the business perspective), and they are themselves
working in a Silo. They are responsible for their Team, their
people and their budget. They are only one of many such Managers
reporting up to the higher levels of management that, typically,
do not really understand the technical details of the problem
and can offer little to no help.

Senior IT Management receives different points
of view coated in techno-speak and usually will be adverse to
challenge their subordinates on any technical details of the
problem. They can say, "not good enough; here is more budget;
here are more resources." Those things are helpful and
needed—but it is not a role of technical integration. No real
technical assistance can be offered.

Middle management reports to Senior Management
explaining that they are actively working the problem. Senior
Management reports to Executive Management saying that they are
on top of it and have tasked their staff with the resolution of
the problem.

Ok--so--whose hands are on the wheel?

Who is there in this chain of command that is capable of
receiving input from the various Technical (Silo) Middle
Managers--that has the technical skills to fully understand the
details as well as the authority and mandate to task all IT
departments? No one.

Is there anyone that understands, in a technical way, the
actions and issues being worked by the Middle Managers in their
individual silos? Yes, but minimally.

Is there anyone that can see where the issues overlap? This is
the key--so I will repeat it. Is there anyone that can see where
the issues overlap--technically? No.

The role of Chief Technology Officer or Chief Scientist is the
closest, but they tend to be far removed from the day to day
deploying and troubleshooting life of IT departments. They may
be planning the overall path that the corporation will take with
regards to IT, but they are usually in the dark with regards to
the reality of daily IT work.

So, who is in authority to task Middle Managers from any IT
department (Silo) to provide tests, logs, diagrams, or to
perform specific actions--who is actually in a position to see
ALL Silos and understand the technical aspects of ALL Silos? No
one. That is the problem. That is the missing link.

THE SOLUTION:

Imagine that within Executive Management there was another
role. Let's call it the Vice President of Technology
Coordination, or some other such thing. This individual is
highly skilled technically, in all areas of enterprise
information technology. They are also an experienced people and
project manager. They are NOT a Business Manager and do not have
budgetary responsibilities. Their job is to sit at the side of
the CIO and provide that top level TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT that is
not currently in place. Such an individual would maintain the
20,000 foot view technically--but be able to drill down with any
Middle Manager, (or direct that drilling), and get into the
details technically as well.

There are not many individuals that can fill this role--but
they exist. Seek them out. If you find someone with these
skills--create that position and invite them to fill it.

Since you are the "for sale by owner" seller, you will often
receive phone calls from potential buyers with inquiries about
the home for sale. When you Get a call from a potential buyer
who has seen the house within the past few days and wants to
learn more about the house, you know you are on the right track.
More often than not, they will want to see the house one more
time before they make their final choice. There are still many
things you must accomplish in order to acquire a written sales
contract.

You can begin with inviting the potential buyer for a second
look at your home as soon as possible. You must be sure that the
house looks flawless and ready for the buyer even though they
may have already seen it. This is crucial because this visit may
determine whether the buyer will decide to make an offer towards
your home or take his business down the street to another
seller.

Be aware of how crucial it is to greet the potential buyer with
hospitality and offer them some food and beverages. They must
feel very much at home in whatever house they choose to
purchase. Give them the opportunity to review each room of the
house again. You definitely should not crowd them or hang over
their shoulder. It's your duty to make them feel as though they
will soon be owners of this house. If they still have interest
in your house they will continue asking questions after looking
at it. In most cases, if they don't ask questions, they are not
going to buy the house. Answer each one of their questions
honestly. Let this be your opportunity to set the mood for the
negotiations that will occur shortly. Be sure to stay calm and
friendly at all times.

If you are fortunate, the buyer will make it clear that they
are interested in the house and are more than willing to move on
to the next step. Don't be surprised if this happens. In fact,
be prepared for it. It is of the utmost importance that the
buyer puts his offer in writing. Another way of going about this
would be to make arrangements for a contract attorney to
negotiate the contract. If you take this route, the attorney
will provide you with the appropriate contract forms. Don't
forget to give one of these contract forms to the buyer. If you
get the impression that the buyer is only interested in talking
about the sale, try to stay on the same page as them. You must
try to stay calm and collected throughout any discussion about
the purchase of the house. Remember, you won't be obligated to
anything you talk about until it is in writing.

Your best bet is to avoid negotiating price verbally. More
often than not, a buyer will want your bottom dollar price. If
they try to negotiate verbally you can always say that before
you can think about negotiating price, you must have the offer
in writing with documents proving they can qualify for the loan.

Don't forget to stay calm and friendly throughout the
negotiation. Even if the buyer makes negative remarks about the
price of your home, it's in your best interest not to take them
personally. The majority of the time, a "for sale by owner" deal
will benefit both parties involved. Because of this, you must
not let negotiations get overly heated or personal.

Although Judaica is crafted in gold and silver with precious
stones, pure silver has been the common material for crafting
Judaica. The different types of crafts available in silver are
filigree work and hammering out designs in silver and crafting
beautiful, intricate designs. Judaica is highly appreciated and
much in demand while Christie's and Sotheby's have opened a
separate auction for Judaica. The silver Judaica objects have
been created with delicate filigree work, hammered out designs
on silver which is a special art and requires expertise in this
craft. Whether you intend buying silver Judaica for its
sacredness or for collecting, make sure what you buy is
authentic.

Judaica is the collective term given to any product, religious
articles or even literature that is related to Jewish religion.
Judaica is always in great demand worldwide as the religion has
spread its wings and though the center is still Jeruselum,
people who follow the religion reside in all countries. The
demand of Judaica is sometimes for its sacredness while some
collect it as a hobby.

Although Judaica is crafted in gold and silver with precious
stones, pure silver has been the common material for crafting
Judaica. The range of religious products range from Besamim,
wine decanters, candlesticks, Etrong boxes, Hanukahs, honey
dishes, jewelry, sculptures, Yad torah pointers, liquor cups,
menorahs, Mezuzzot, Seder trays and bowls to washing basins.
With a variety of religious products associated with the Jewish
religion, silver can be molded to serve the specific
requirement. Silver is one of the noble metals, which has been
widely used for its precious and versatile features. The
different types of crafts available in silver are filigree work
and hammering out designs in silver and crafting beautiful,
intricate designs.

Usually the artifacts and antiques date back to 17th to 19th
century, which are in private collections worldwide. Judaica is
highly appreciated and much in demand while Christie's and
Sotheby's have opened a separate auction for Judaica.

The silver Judaica objects have been created with delicate
filigree work, hammered out designs on silver which is a special
art and requires expertise in this craft. Some of the craftsmen
who create these exquisite pieces of art have been doing these
for centuries passing down the craft from one generation to the
next. The demand shall always be there but the designs keep
changing according to the changing times. The traditional
designs on the Judaica especially the grapes, city of Jerusalem
and other conventional designs are famous while the new designs
are made keeping in mind the trends worldwide.

Judaica can be bought over the internet and in stores across
the world. Although there are stores that claim to sell genuine
silver you should go in for those who have carved a name for
themselves or get the products checked by an authority of
antiques or silver. Reputed buyers always have returning
policies and give a guarantee n the products sold. In case, you
have a doubt it is always better to see the product before you
buy it, especially antique Judaica. Whether you intend buying
silver Judaica for its sacredness or for collecting, make sure
what you buy is authentic.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The Bichon Frise may be small in size, but he is sturdy and
also white in color (in most cases) and it is a powder puff of a
dog. Its merry temperament is easy to see when you look into its
inquisitive eyes and also observe the jaunty manner with which
he carries his plumed tail. What's more, the Bichon Frise
standard does not reveal any great exaggerations or faults in
the breed and thus you will normally find the Bichon Frise to be
free from imbalances or unsound movements.

Though there are many deviations from the Bichon Frise
standard, these are no more or no less than what is common among
most breeds. Though if a fault is noticed in the Bichon Frise,
it must be penalized to no more than the amount of deviation
from the standard. In addition, as far as the height mentioned
in the standard goes, you should not expect the Bichon Frise to
be more than nine and a half inches to eleven and a half inches
in either gender.

The Bichon Frise standard is very clear about the qualities
that are desired in the breed with regard to general appearance,
proportion and substance and which must be present in any Bichon
Frise. Thus, the well-bred Bichon Frise should be larger by a
quarter at the front-most point in his body as compared to the
height at his withers, and the bone should be well contained
without being too coarse or too fine.

The Bichon Frise standard is also clear about how the head
should be shaped, as too the eyes, and lips, ears and skull as
well as muzzle, stop, nose and bite. Also, there are certain
desirable qualities that are set out by the Bichon Frise
standard with regard to the neck and top line as well as the
body. In addition, the forequarters as well as hindquarters must
adhere to the standard and the Bichon Frise should also have the
proper coat texture and color, the gait must also be free, and
his temperament should be gentle, confident and also
affectionate.

The Bichon Frise standard requires that the Bichon Frise must
have shoulder blades and upper arms as well as forearms of equal
length, and the bones in its legs must be straight while
pasterns must show a bit of a slant. The coat must be dense as
well as soft on the underside while on the outside it should be
curly. Overall, the Bichon Frise must be of white color though
it may also have dipping of cream, buff and even apricot.

In its movement, the Bichon Frise standard states that he
should move freely as well as cautiously and without any effort,
and when racing it should hold its head as well as neck in a
straight manner. The personality of the Bichon Frise is gentle
and it also has an even temper while also being very
affectionate and thus has all the qualities that make for an
ideal family dog.

and taking care of small dogs and thus is well conversant with
all that it takes to breed different dog types. There is a lot

should possess, and also what its common faults are and how they
should be penalized. For anyone that needs to learn more about

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Bon Jovi have been on the go as a rock band for 24 years, and
at the top of their game for just as long. Formed in 1983 by
lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist
David Bryan, bassist Alec John Such, and drummer Tico Torres,
Bon Jovi have amassed record sales and adulation the world over,
and have been reponsible for some of the most memorable rock
tracks produced throughout the 1980's and 1990's.

Their first two albums released in their first two years sold
at mediocre levels; Bon Jovi only reaching number 71 in the UK -
although 7800° Fahrenheit faired sightly better at number 28.
But it wasn't until the release of Slippery When Wet in 1986,
and New Jersey two years later, that they really hit the big
time. These albums sold 19 million copies and earned them eight
top ten single hits; to put it another way, they launched the
band into stratospheric stardom.

With the success of these albums also came a heavy touring
schedule, which saw them travel the world almost constantly over
the next two years. They eventually took a break in 1990, during
which time Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora both released
successful solo albums.

In 1992 the band returned to the music scene as though they had
never left, with the hugely successful Keep the Faith album, and
have since gone on to regularly and consistently release further
albums, all them going platinum.

In 2006 they won their first Grammy with Who Says You Can't Go
Home, for Best Country Collaboration with Jennifer Nettles from
Sugarland. They also became the first rock band to reach number
1 in the Hot Country Songs chart with the same song.

Throughout their career, the band released ten studio albums,
and in addition charted 19 singles that made it into the Top 40,
four of which landed at number 1: You Give Love a Bad Name,
Livin' On A Prayer, Bad Medicine and I'll Be There for You.

Bon Jovi also hold the record for the most weeks spent at
number 1 for a hard rock album with Slippery When Wet, as well
as the most Top 10 singles from a hard rock album with New
Jersey, which charted five singles.

Over the past 24 years, Bon Jovi has sold over 120 million
albums worldwide, 34 million of those in the United States
alone, making them undisputably the kings of modern day rock and
roll.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Buying a house can be complicated enough, but trying to sort
out which mortgage is best, what the different rates are, etc,
can be like trying to pick your way through a minefield. That's
why using a mortgage broker is such a good idea, and one that
more and more homebuyers are starting to do.

Whereas previous generations of home buyers were content to
simply arrange the mortgage through their banks, today's buyers
are different. With the Internet offering new ways for people to
look for deals on everything from home insurance to car loans,
mortgage lenders are no longer the ones in control. However,
using a mortgage broker is still more advisable than looking for
offers by yourself.

Why a Mortgage Broker?

A mortgage broker is a certified professional and someone who
has spent years training to become an expert in mortgages.
Regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), they have a
strict set of guidelines that they must adhere to. This includes
the information they give you, and the ethical decisions they
make regarding any financial advice they provide to you.

Because of this, they are usually independent, which offers the
potential home buyer the benefit of unbiased advice. Even if a
mortgage broker belongs to a company, you should still be
offered a greater choice when it comes to the type of mortgage
you take out, as well as whom you take it out with. Compare this
to banks and building societies, which usually try and arrange
your mortgage solely with them, and the extra cost in using a
broker are more than worth it.

What does a Mortgage Broker do?

Because they are such experts in their field, a mortgage broker
can offer a host of services that you may not have received
otherwise. As well as their advice, you can also expect a broker
to:

• Find the mortgage that's right for you
• Access to thousands of different lenders nationwide
• Provide a "mortgage calculator" that will help you decide how
much you can borrow
• Explaining the different mortgages – fixed rate or variable,
self-certification or ad credit mortgage, etc

These are just some of the basic services that a broker can
offer you. They can also help you arrange the best survey
companies to use, close your paperwork, arrange legal fees and
advice – pretty much anything connected with a mortgage, a
broker can help you with. Additionally, a mortgage broker can
also advise you on what additional costs you should include –
for example, mortgage protection insurance and why you need it.

One of the biggest reasons many home buyers are put off using a
mortgage broker is because of the extra cost involved – after
all, they're already spending thousands on the property itself.
However, the extra cost can often be included within the
mortgage itself, and even if it's not, the few hundred pounds
you spend on a mortgage broker's expertise could save you
thousands in the long run.

If you're looking to buy a house soon, or even re-mortgage an
existing property, speaking to a mortgage broker could save you
more than you think, and is well worth the time and cost
involved.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
It's been another tumultuous year in the music industry, a
business that's seeing significant challenges to virtually every
aspect of its business model, and that needs the pressure of
such change as much as a polar bear needs a heat lamp. With
peer-to-peer downloading of music that seems unstoppable no
matter how many companies get shut down, bad press generated by
poorly conceived punitive lawsuits against said file sharers,
declining CD sales, increasing failure among traditional music
retail stores, and well-known artists like Radiohead and Nine
Inch Nails striking out on their own and offering new releases
online for free; it seems these days the music industry can't
catch a break.

But with all of this doom and gloom, the one positive for the
industry in 2007 has been a relatively strong live concert
market. Nostalgia has been the order of the day, with classic
rock acts continuing to hit the road, their numbers bolstered by
reuniting 80's acts who've either got the itch as part of a
midlife crisis, or who want to pad out their retirement income.
Just look at the acts currently (week of November 20, 2007)
holding the top fifteen spots on Pollstar's Top 50 list of
concert tours:

1. Bon Jovi
2. Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band
3. Van Halen
4. Celine Dion
5. Foo Fighters
6. Neil Young
7. Ozzy Osbourne
8. Tool
9. Billy Joel
10. The Police
11. John Mellencamp
12. Elton John
13. Stevie Wonder
14. The Spice Girls
15. Rage Against The Machine

I count four reunions (five if you include Springsteen touring
with the E Street Band), one lounge act trying to escape Las
Vegas, and a couple of relatively current bands. The rest will
definitely fit nicely under the "nostalgia" umbrella - not that
Billy Joel or Elton John aren't good or relevant, it's just that
their music isn't what you'd typically expect a twenty year old
to be rocking out to, as their first choice.

The numbers aren't all in yet, but the grosses are looking
pretty good. While their tour actually began in 2005, The
Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang Tour wrapped up in the autumn of
2007 and made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the
highest-grossing concert tour in history. Just how big is that,
you ask? They raked in $560,000,000 (US dollars) for the 144
dates they played. That's right, over half a billion dollars;
almost four million dollars per night. Not bad pocket money.

Before we get all star-eyed about the dough that's being made
hand over fist on touring though, there are a few reality checks
to consider.

First of all, the record labels themselves seldom see any money
from touring, so it's not like the concert revenue is helping to
make up for declining CD sales. The artists themselves can find
touring a very lucrative business, although even they don't
typically see the bulk of the cash that's collected at the
gates. According to industry averages, an artist can expect to
net as much as thirty-five percent of ticket prices and fifty
percent of merchandise sales for a show. The bulk of the take
goes to paying promoters, road crews, venues, ticket sellers,
and anyone else who has any involvement in the planning,
marketing, running, setting up or cleaning up after a show.

Complicating the equation is the fact that ticket sales
themselves have actually been relatively flat; as a matter of
fact, they have shown a slight decline in some recent years.
But, ticket prices have continued to increase significantly,
especially among bands whose audience demographic skews toward
the older, wealthier listener. According to Rolling Stone, the
average concert ticket cost under £18 in 1999, and in 2003 that
had increased to over £24. An LA Times investigation determined
that the average price had climbed to £30 for 2006, so clearly
there is something more than simple inflationary pressure at
work.

This key issue becomes the critical factor behind the ranking
of top-grossing touring acts. Promoters charge what the market
will bear, and a group with a history (like the Rolling Stones)
or a significant pent-up demand due to a break-up (The Police)
or tendency to have somewhat older fans (both The Rolling Stones
and The Police) will allow the promoters to charge considerably
higher ticket prices. So it's no surprise that the mega acts
like The Stones, U2 and The Police can manage to tour,
consistently pulling off premium ticket prices at multiple dates
and ending up topping the concert charts, even though they may
not have released a new CD in over twenty years.

Looking at numbers supplied by Pollstar (note: these have been
rounded), you can easily see that relationship. In the 2005
concert year, the top concert gross list displayed what has
become a familiar pattern: domination by nostalgia and classic
rock acts, with the top five spots being held by The Rolling
Stones, U2, Celine Dion, Paul McCartney, and The Eagles. Okay,
Celine Dion is an odd one, but you can attribute that to
gamblers in Las Vegas with more money than they know what to do
with and a healthy bar tab.

The Rolling Stones captured the top spot by earning £80 million
with an average ticket price of £65. U2 came in second, grossing
£68 million with an average ticket price of £49. Look for a
contemporary act on the top twenty list and you can find
Coldplay in seventeenth spot, grossing £11 million with an
average ticket price of a much more modest £19; Green Day hit
number 12 with £17 million on £18 tickets. See the pattern? Even
if Green Day or their promoters tried for the big payday at this
point, would there be enough "kids" willing to shell out £49 for
tickets? Would they attract enough baby boomers to make up for
the shortfall? I doubt it.

The relatively lower grosses don't mean other acts aren't doing
well touring, it simply means they aren't playing as many gigs
to as many fans, or they're not charging nearly as much for
tickets. They can do quite well, just not well enough to make
the big early retirement pay cheque.

So now we've established that 2007 has been a pretty good year
to be a touring rock band and gotten the financial nonsense out
of the way, which shows have actually been getting the buzz?

The Police rank up there pretty highly. At first people watched
with morbid curiosity, half expecting the old tensions to
resurface and end with Sting and Stewart Copeland beating the
hell out of each other on stage - come on, admit it, you were
hoping it would all go down at the show you saw. Despite a
slightly rough start, showing the band was clearly out of
practice after all these years; they quickly found their groove
and played to sold out shows and excellent reviews. The critics
were happy, and the fans couldn't buy tickets fast enough.

Rage Against The Machine was another of the most anticipated
reunion acts, especially among the younger alternative rock set.
The comic soap opera that has been Van Halen and David Lee Roth
settled down enough to actually hit the road in 2007. Genesis
reformed – at least the Phil Collins-led version of Genesis.
Canadian progressive rockers Rush toured in support of their
Snakes & Arrows CD. The Rock the Mic tour brought Jay-Z, 50
Cent, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott together for a series of
over 30 shows. According to Forbes magazine, the Dixie Chicks
took less than a week to sell over £22 million in ticket sales
for 57 shows.

For the pre-teen and (possibly early teen) set, Disney's Hannah
Montana has been "rocking" sold out venues everywhere. Another
reunion of sorts, The Smashing Pumpkins, were also back in 2007,
along with veterans Gordon Lightfoot, Van Morrison, John
Fogerty, Rod Stewart, Roger Waters, Bob Dylan and Neil Young who
all toured. Even occasionally befuddled rocker Ozzy Osborne has
started out with Rob Zombie. Bon Jovi is selling tickets in a
big way with favourable reviews, and old new wavers (is that a
contradiction in terms?) Duran Duran and The Cure were on the
road. Justin Timberlake got his groove on and Dane Cook proved
that stand-up comics could sell out arenas too. Not to be left
out in the cold by classic rockers and reunion acts, Incubus,
Tool, Foo Fighters, Avril Lavigne, Mr. Avril Lavigne's band (Sum
41), Korn, Modest Mouse, Jimmy Eat World, Fallout Boy, Cake,
Avenged Sevenfold, Band of Horses and Arcade Fire, all made
representations for the alternative rock crowd.

So how is 2008 shaping up in terms of concerts? Obviously we
can't predict too much at this stage, but I will be willing to
throw this one out: tickets are going to continue to rise in
price at a rate greater than inflation and the biggest grossing
acts will once again be ageing rockers, with the ultimate
combination of rocker and reunion topping the list. If the
chemistry was right for their reunion concert in December, and
if Robert Plant and Jimmy Page don't end up in fisticuffs, it
just might be that Led Zeppelin may commit to a tour, and if
that happens look for them to be at the top of the list by this
time next year. But coming back full circle to the problem
record labels are having with declining CD sales, mega group and
thorn-in-the-labels-side, artists' rights champions Radiohead
are also planning a 2008 world tour. Don't count them out
either.

It's bound to be an interesting year.
