================== ARTICLE START ==================
If you've seen the recent Frontline special on PBS, as a parent
you understand the frustrations many parents go through when
trying to raise a child who is growing up online.

Many of the shocking statics regarding teens and online chat
reveal some very disturbing trends that parents should take to
hart.

A parent's internet monitoring study done in Canada found that:

• Over half (51%) of parents either do not have or do not know
if they have software on their computer(s) that monitors where
their teenager(s) go online and with whom they interact.

• 42% of parents do not review the content of what their
teenager(s) read and/or type in chat rooms or via instant
messaging.

• Teenagers who Instant Message use chat lingo to communicate
and parents don't know the meanings of some of the most commonly
used phrases. 57% don't know LOL (Laughing Out Loud), 68% don't
know BRB (Be Right Back), and 92% don't know A/S/L
(Age/Sex/Location).

• 95% of parents couldn't identify common chat room lingo that
teenagers use to warn people they're chatting with that their
parents are watching. Those phrases are POS (Parent Over
Shoulder) and P911 (Parent Alert).

• Nearly three out of 10 (28%) of parents don't know or are not
sure if their teens talk to strangers online.

• 30% of parents allow their teenagers to use the computer in
private areas of the house such as a bedroom or a home office.
Parents say they are more vigilant about where their teen(s) go
online if the computer is in a public area of the household.

• 58% of parents surveyed say they review the content of what
their teenager(s) read and/or type in chat rooms or via Instant
Messaging; 42% do not.

And more statistics on teen peer pressure, cyber bullying, and
sexually explicit internet use:

• Approximately one in five received a sexual solicitation or
approach over the Internet in the last year.

• One in thirty-three received an aggressive sexual
solicitation — a solicitor who asked to meet them somewhere;
called them on the telephone; sent them regular mail, money, or
gifts.

• One in four had an unwanted exposure to pictures of naked
people or people having sex in the last year.

• One in seventeen was threatened or harassed.

• Approximately one quarter of young people who reported these
incidents were distressed by them.

• Less than 10 percent of sexual solicitations and only 3
percent of unwanted exposure episodes were reported to
authorities such as a law-enforcement agency, an Internet
Service Provider, or a hotline.

• About one quarter of the youth who encountered a sexual
solicitation or approach told a parent. Almost 40 percent of
those reporting an unwanted exposure to sexual material told a
parent.

• Only 17 percent of youth and approximately 10 percent of
parents could name a specific authority, such as the Federal
Bureau of Investigation, CyberTipline, or an Internet Service
Provider, to which they could make a report, although more said
they had "heard of" such places.

• In households with home Internet access, one third of parents
said they had filtering or blocking software on their computer
at the time they were interviewed.

We hope that after taking a minute to read these statistics
that you will re evaluate your teens use of the internet and
chat rooms, and discuss these statistics with your teen.

Graded Coins

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Why should a coin collector and investor buy and collect
professionally graded and certified coins?. Commonly called
"slabs", they are housed in a protective plastic holder. There
are many companies – over a dozen are less than 2 years old –
which will put your coin in a slab after Certifying that it is
Authentic, and assigning a Grade to the coin. The first reason
for buying and collecting Certified and Graded Coins applies to
all of these companies. However, the most important reasons
apply only to the Top Four companies: PCGS, NGC, ANACS, and ICG.

Reason No 1. To Protect Your Coin from Damage.

Visible Damage, which includes anything from finger prints/oils
to being stepped on. More importantly, Environmental Damage,
including such things as exposure to the air, or the wrong kind
of air, chemicals in the air, and touching other objects (e.g.:
certain plastics, liquids, food) and other coins, which will
change the appearance and even structure of the coin. Damage
causes loss of Value, which means Your Investment. A slab is an
air tight container, and its purpose is Protection.

Reason No 2. To Establish Authenticity.

You want and need to know that your coin is not only the Real
thing, but that it has not been altered (changing a mint mark -
fraud) or changed, for example by cleaning, polishing, changing
the appearance or surface of the coin, in any way that would
render your coin unfit to collect. If it is Unfit to Collect,
there won't be many Buyers or Sellers. Many coins graded by
lesser companies end up getting Rejected by one of the Top Four
for these reasons.

Reason No 3. To Establish Identity.

Is that 1909 Lincoln penny a VDB? Did you overlook the "S" mint
mark. Is it a Type 1 or Type 2? These little identifying marks
can mean the difference between a $20 coin and one worth
$35,000. We all make mistakes and overlook or miss, mint marks,
details, and certain other identifying factors which make up
"Varities" of each coin. It is the professional's duty to look
for, and establish these things to determine a coin's true
Identity.

Reason No 4. To Establish the Coin's Grade.

A coin's Grade is what determines its Value. You want Good
Value when you Buy the coin. You want to get what you pay for
(or more) and not get cheated. When you get ready to Sell or
Upgrade, you want to get the most for your coin. You Have to
Know What the Coin is Worth! The Grade is always an Issue when
Buying and Selling a Collectible Coin. Having the coin
Professionally Certified and Graded virtually eliminates this
Issue, and the Arguments. This is Your Neutral Third Party.

Reason No 5. Trust and Credibility.

The Top Four companies are Consistent, Reliable and
Trustworthy. They have Established and Respected Reputations.
Their Standards are the Highest and the Best. You are taking a
Risk when buying a certified and graded coin from any other
company.

It is possible to buy and sell a coin that is Certified and
Graded by one of the Top Four, sight unseen, and know exactly
what you are getting. From a description of the coin (e.g.: 1903
O, MS66, NGC, Morgan #034), you know what you are buying, and
what to expect. It always helps to have a little description of
its appearance, such as "white hot" or "slight reverse toning",
since there is one limitation to selling a Certified and Graded
coin sight unseen: It is still possible to buy an ugly coin. But
that is why we have scanners, fax and email.

Therefore, as a Coin Collector and Investor, always collect
Certified and Graded coins by one of the Top Four. It is the
most reasonable way to verify authenticity and identity of every
coin in your collection, as well as to establish a reliable
Value. Every source of prices for any coin, be it a yearly book,
magazine, a weekly or monthly newsprint; all base their prices
on the Grading Standards of the Top Four grading companies,
which strictly follow the ANA guidelines. If the Grade of your
coin does not measure up to these Standards, then you are only
guessing at the Value.

Cleaning the household or office has never been easy before,
thanks to the invention of vacuum cleaners! They have made
cleaning process such a pleasurable and easy work! They come in
various shapes and sizes to appeal the general masses. Also in
different capacities and various features included, vacuum
cleaners have become kind of a must-have device in all homes.
Models that are self propelled, with options that would be
gentle on the back of the user, self-driven modes etc are
available. Though many types and capacities have come in the
market, there are various important things to be considered
while buying a vacuum cleaner and these remain the same in all
types.

One of the main things to be considered is the space of the
house that needs vacuuming. If the house is huge and has a lot
of area to be vacuumed, then the cleaner purchased should be big
and should have heavy duty functions as well. Also for different
floor types, the machines required would be different. For
example the same adjustment would not go for a floor that has
been carpeted and the floor that is not. If the rooms have many
corners and are shaped differently, then a machine with long
hose and a 360 o swivel facility is required.

Also if anyone in the house is allergic or has asthma, then
having a vacuum cleaner is very useful. Choosing cleaners that
are accredited by the British Allergy Foundation is also very
useful, as this organisation accredits only those machines that
are fit for allergy and asthma patients. There are certain other
features which have to be taken care of while purchasing the
machine. It should be checked if the electric cord can be
re-winded automatically and that the machine is easy to be
stored anywhere. Having a "bag full" indicator in machines that
use a bag to collect the dust, is very useful, as this helps the
user know when to clean or empty the bag.

Another thing to be noted is the distance that the machine can
travel from the point that it is plugged to the electrical
sockets. The more independently the machine can travel, the more
advantageous. The dust bag capacity is also to be taken into
account. Many models come between the capacity of 4-6 litres,
however, even as high as 9 litres are also available. These bags
also come in self sealing and use-and-throw options and well.
Noise levels are very important to be checked. The more the
quieter, the more peacefully work can be finished! Usually the
noise level comes up to 70-75dB, which is considered the
quietest.

Some machines also come with a separate compartment to save
tools for cleaning. The tool attachments depend on the different
types and models of cleaners. If there are staircases in the
house, then long hoses are required to clean as it is otherwise
not possible to clean them. Extension tubes are also available
nowadays to extend the pipe that is used to clean, in order to
give additional length to the cleaner. Fittings that go to every
nook and corner of the room are a definite requirement. The
swivel hose completely swings in all directions, thus enabling
easy cleaning of floors.

With so many options and advantages of vacuum cleaner, it is
only important and a necessity to own one. This not only saves
time but also results in a clean, tidy and wonderful looking
home.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
If you're a massage student looking to by your first massage
table, it can be overwhelming when you see all the choices you
have available to you. Now that you're taking your massage
class, you're itching to get your first massage table so you can
start practicing on your friends and family!

The question becomes what exactly is the right table for you
and your needs? There are different things to think about when
choosing your table, and below I've highlighted some things
you'll want to think about. While most tables look similar,
there are actually some differences that may look small, but can
make a huge difference in the table you choose.

For instance, tables can be found in a standard size, or you
can order them wide or narrow. If you're a shorter person with
shorter arms, you may find a more narrow table would work better
for you.

You'll also have to make decisions like if you'll want a table
that is portable or stationary. If you're going to bring your
table with you, this is an important decision! You may even want
to consider a massage chair!

With many companies to choose from, you'll come across brands
such as Oakworks, Earthlite, Master, Astra Lite, Nautilus,
Earthgear, StrongLite and Custom Craftworks just to name a few!
With a little time and research, you'll find the perfect massage
table for your needs.

One of the things you'll want to look at is the padding on the
table. This is something you'll want to think about based on the
modalities that you'll be practicing. If you're doing deeper
work, you won't want as much padding as someone who does
primarily Swedish massage. Also, consider your client will be on
the table from 30 to 90 minutes. You can also buy a separate pad
at a later date if you choose to add more. I personally would
recommend to buy the best padding you can afford. Don't forget
to specify if you want medium or high density foam.

One thing that many people get caught up on is the color of
their massage table. A gentle reminder that sheets will be on
your table, may help you realize that it's really not as
important as you make it out to be. While you may love a purple,
blue or yellow table, you won't be seeing that table except for
a quick change of sheets!

It's exciting to pick out your first massage table. Before
jumping in though, consider that if you're in school, your
school may have a discount program, so check with them. You can
also find channels online for a large choice of tables, as well
as checking places like eBay. My biggest recommendation though
would be to go to a showroom and try them out, if you have one
near by. Get up on the table and see how it feels.

When looking at the table size, consider that the standard
length runs 73". You can also order tables that range in length
from 65" to 85". Width is another place where you can find
different sizes. Most massage tables range from 25 to 32 inches
wide.

When choosing a cradle or headrest, there are different types
once again. One is fixed, that you remove by pulling it out when
not using it, while the other is adjustable and collapses when
it's not in use. Which will you want?

Another option is looking at end plates. Based on the modality
you'll want to decide if you want open end plates or closed. If
you will be practicing Reiki, you'll want open end plates. This
way you can place your legs under the table while practicing.

Will you be doing Shiatsu massage with clients? You'll want to
look for a table that allows you to fold the legs beneath the
table, so that you can place it on the floor.

Sometimes you'll see the letters UL when a table is described.
What that means is that the table you're looking at has been
through an independent test, and it passed criteria such as
weight bearing. Look for these letters when selecting your
table.

Spending a lot of money on shopping is not some thing new as
manufacturers try coming up with new products every now and
then. Getting attracted towards such products is quite normal,
but when a product is nothing to you and you tend to waste the
precious dollars earned by you on shopping for things that are
of no use to you, there seems to be a problem. Many a time
people come across the new gadgets that have come up in the
market. In order to buy such high-tech products people tend to
spend more than even what they have, at the end what they have
is nothing more than the stupid gadget that is of no use for you
and of course a credit card bill that you are supposed to pay
for.

Compulsive spending is commonly seen in today's youth, where
they tend to spend money on shopping, the frequent visits to a
shopping complex does not mean that a person is crazy about
shopping, at times many tend to buy products that are of least
use. Spending heaps of money will surely ruin a person's future
making it a nightmare for him. He/she would remember those days
when compulsive spending drained the best out of him/her. Such a
situation might create an alarming scenario with your loved ones
as you might be ruining your as well as your loved ones future.
In order to avoid such scenarios try overcoming this compulsive
spending disorder by getting proper treatment for this.

May be you are aware of the compulsive spending habit of yours
and try avoid spending money, but this so called temporary
motivation doesn't work for more than days or a weeks time, and
the next time you pass by a store you think of just checking out
the latest collections, and lo you find yourself spending your
money again. Treating it requires help from something that has
achieved success in past. One such highly satisfying treatment
is hypnosis. A hypnosis treatment directly interacts with your
upset mind that is always thinking of spending those precious
dollars. However you yourself can do the hypnosis treatment by
downloading mp3 contents from the Internet that can help you
deal with compulsive spending.

Hypnosis is a kind of treatment that is related to every mental
issue and suffices as an efficient means of treating your mental
blocks regarding the habit of compulsive money expenditure. Mp3
downloads can help you with the cure for your compulsive
spending disorder. Start using it before you have nothing left
in your bank account. Maybe if you have already come across this
treatment you would be thinking why you wasted all the time and
money in the past, where you could have saved even more money.
Mp3 downloads come to you, as a beneficial treatment that is a
great investment where you can use it repeatedly. The hypnosis
for compulsive spending puts your life in perspective where you
begin to understand the worthlessness of your buying habits. It
helps you see the pointlessness related to your compulsive
behavior and enables you to control your spending binge.

Did Rising Gas Prices Lead To Matthew Mcconaughey's Recent Car Sale?

Actor Matthew McConaughey reportedly sold his 1971 Corvette
Stingray convertible on eBay for $61,600. But, it wasn't rising
gas prices that led to the sale; McConaughey sold the car for
charity, donating the proceeds to Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network
for Katrina and Rita relief. While gas prices may not have much
of an affect on the deep pockets of Hollywood stars, they have
hit the rest of us quite hard-including florists and those who
buy flowers from them.

Rising gas prices affect the florists on a number of levels, such
as deliveries to customers and shipments from wholesalers. The
affect on florists has been so profound that it's prompted some
to take their concerns before the House committee on Energy and
Commerce.

When John R. Wilkins, AAF, executive vice president of Delaware
Valley Floral Group in Sewell, New Jersey testified in May of
2006, he told the committee, "Other than labor costs, perhaps no
single factor has more power to impact the bottom line of floral
businesses than the cost of fuel. As you buy flowers for your
mothers, wives or daughters this coming weekend in celebration of
Mother's Day, I am estimating that up to 50 percent of the cost
of flowers is attributable to transportation costs. That's not
counting the percentage that might be attributable to other fuel
prices-heat for greenhouses and electricity for refrigeration."

Still other florists are taking matters into their own hands in
an attempt to reduce their costs and pass the savings on to their
customers. Many florists have begun to invest in new vehicles
that get better gas mileage. One such vehicle that some florists
are swearing by for their deliveries is the Toyota Scion xB,
which gets a reported 31 miles per gallon.

Janesville, Wisconsin florist Tom Carlson of Fairview Florist and
Greenhouses says he's cut his operating costs in half while
increasing his visibility in the area. His customers say they see
his Scion, dubbed "the chick magnet," all over town. Carlson
had this to say of the Scion he's owned for about a year now,
"Depreciation is less, insurance is less, maintenance is less
and gas is less."

Mesa, Arizona florist David Johnson, owner of Watson's Flower
Shop, reports that he's saved more than $6,000 in gas since
trading in his two Ford vans for two Scions last summer. The
enormous savings is enough to cover the cost of one of the
Scion's leases for twelve months!

Although the Scion is smaller than the traditional vans that most
florists use, there are ways around that, too. Tom Carlson uses
his larger van only when he has large deliveries while in
Melbourne, Florida Tina Stoecker, AIFD, PFCI (of Designs of the
Times Florist) says her little Scion has just as much space as a
van when she removes the back seat.

No matter what business they're in, people all over America are
looking for ways to beat the rising price of gas. Though the cost
may lead you to sell your old gas-guzzler, if you're like most
of us, you won't be able to donate the money to charity like
Matthew McConaughey did-you'll have to use it to pay for gas to
fill the tank of your new car! Or, you could use some of the
money to buy yourself flowers as a little pick-me-up.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Insomnia is an inability to get to sleep and/or stay asleep
during the night hours, and it's sometimes mistakenly called a
sleeping disorder when in fact, it's a symptom of a sleeping
disorder. Women and older adults are the typical victims of
insomnia although millions of people across the country suffer
from it for various reasons. As a result, each case is different
and there are thus different kinds of insomnia brought on by
individual sleep disorders, stresses, illnesses, or
environmental problems. Insomnia can be long-term, short-term,
minor or severe, occasional or constant. Yet more than 1/3 of
the American population is affected by some sort of insomnia and
10% suffer from a chronic form.

What qualifies short term insomnia as a temporary problem is
that it lasts for a few days rather than weeks as in chronic
insomnia. But neither form of insomnia is less important than
the other - even if it only lasts for a day or two. The problem
is always the same: not enough sleep.

Types OF INSOMNIA

Alcohol-Dependent Insomnia - a sleeping disorder induced by the
over-consumption of alcohol.

Altitude Insomnia - an inability to sleep because of problems
experienced in high altitudes. Examples include fatigue,
headache, loss of appetite, etc.

Childhood Insomnia (Limit-Setting Sleep Disorder) - a problem
with falling asleep in accordance with discipline problems

Environmental Insomnia - the difficulty to sleep based on
environmental factors (noise, smells, air flow, etc.)

Food Allergy Insomnia - the result of an allergic reaction

Idiopathic Insomnia - a physiological problem that prevents
full sleep; usually a lifelong problem.

Periodic Insomnia - an inability to sleep that occurs in 1-2
hour intervals

Psychophysiological Insomnia - a sleeping disorder that's
brought on by stress or other psychological problems.

Sleep Onset Insomnia (Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome) - a problem
that delays the occurrence of the major phase of sleep.

Toxin-Induced Sleep Disorder - a sleeping problem brought on by
poising

Transient Insomnia (Adjustment Sleep Disorder) - a temporary
problem initiated by stress and emotional troubles

THE IMPORTANCE OF SLEEP

Sleep is often taken for granted by those who get enough of it.
But it's also one of the most important contributors to body
health, function, and sound mind. People need to sleep because
it gives the body the opportunity to repair itself without
having to be bothered with the stresses of performing daily
activities. Eight hours of sleep is sufficient for the adult,
but any less than that puts the body into stress - stress that
over a short period of time can weaken the immunity system and
thus bring about more serious health problems.

One major problem with insomnia is that many people suffer from
it, yet do not know or acknowledge that they have it. The pace
at which today's society runs is faster and more stressful than
ever and can cause a multitude of health problems. Yet insomnia
- a tell-tale sign that something is wrong - is one the last
things that people suspect or care to admit.

Of all the continents and places in the world, Australia s
perhaps the most unique, unique in the sense that its flora and
fauna has evolved separately from the rest of the world over
millions of years. Because of this, Australia is a haven for
those people looking for something different in their travels.
Not only that, Australia also offers much in natural wonders,
local cuisine and culture, so here are 10 places you must visit
in Australia:

1.) Sydney

Sydney offers much in the way of cultural tourist attractions
and much more. Here you can go to the Famous Opera House and be
amazed at the collection of marine animals at the marine
aquarium at Darling Harbor. You can also take in the city view
from Sydney tower and more.

2.) The Pinnacles

The Pinnacles in Nambung National Park is more or less two
hundred and fifty miles north of Perth. It is also a must see
because of the awesome limestone columns of towering weathered
rocks. These rocks were shaped into weird sculptures by the
winds and sands.

3.) Jenolan Caves

The Jenolan Caves are a must see for adventurous tourists. It
was discovered by a convict bushranger in 1838 and has since
then served as one of the most famous tourist attractions in
Australia. These subterranean caves numbering more than 300 are
all interconnected and filled with weird and wonderful rock
formations. Here tour guides will be at your side as you walk
around the lighted caves.

4.) Great Ocean Road

The Great Ocean road is a three hour drive from Melbourne city.
Here you will see the rock formations that locals call the
twelve apostles. These rock formations are giant monoliths of
rock created by the erosion of rock by winds and sands. There
are only 8 out of the original twelve left standing however.

5.) Ayers Rocks

Ayers Rocks is the biggest rock monolith in the whole world.
In fact, it is considered sacred by the aborigines in this
place. Moreover, close to this place is Alice Springs which is
the jump point to this destination and the other rock formations
named Olga/Kata Tjuta that is composed of 36 dome-like rock
formations.

6.) Tasmania
It is well-known historically as a prison where British
convicts were sent. It became even more popular because of its
spectacular variety of natural wonders, flora and fauna.
Tasmania is a favorite destination for those wanting to see its
pristine beaches, beautiful lagoons and mountains.

7.) Wallaman Falls

Wallaman Falls is located in Girringun National Park. It is
the part of Stony Creek, one of the tributaries of the river
Herbert, where it plunges down more than 250 meters down a sheer
walled gorge. This falls is actually included in the UN's world
heritage site registry.

8.) Magnetic Island

Magnetic Island is one of the national parks of Australia
because it is home to colonies of kangaroos and koalas. It is
also located near the town of Townsville famous for its great
beaches. This island was actually named by Captain Cook because
it was said that his compass has gone funny when he passed by
it.

9.) Whitsundays

Whitsundays is one of the places in Australia with great night
life. Here you can have great evenings eating at the
restaurants and having fun in the local bars. Also, Whitsundays
is known as a great jump point to the Great Barrier Reef and the
beautiful island resorts.

10.) Gold Coast

The Gold coast is a great getaway for surf and beach lovers.
Here you can spend days at the beaches. You can also spend it
perhaps in the theme parks and national parks with its great
waterfalls and natural beauty and nights in the local
restaurants in the local bars.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
It's that time of year again, isn't it? You've celebrated the
winter holidays and New Year's Day has come and gone. Now it's
officially 2008. You've probably set a few goals for the year
and maybe even some resolutions.

Many people stop short of setting goals because they're
concerned that if they don't meet them, they'll experience a
sense of failure. I'd like to propose a remedy – it's a strategy
I call "float the goal." Here's how it works:

Step 1: Identify a goal for 2008. Write it down clearly and
succinctly, and make sure it's a goal that you can easily keep
in your head, such as a dollar amount that you want to earn, the
amount of weight you want to lose or the kind of friendship you
want to develop.

Step 2: Periodically, "float" the goal in your mind. I mean –
run the goal through your mind and simply observe it for a
second or two. "Oh, that's right. I want to earn $100,000 in
2008." Then let it go by moving on to the next thought. Refrain
from getting "attached" to the goal. Being attached to the goal
sounds like "I'm afraid I won't meet the goal" or "How will I
ever meet this goal?" or "If I don't meet it, I'm a failure."
Negative attachments will quickly catapult you down a mental
rabbit hole that has no exit.

Step 3: Let go of "how." With the "float the goal" strategy,
"how" isn't a requirement. Isn't that nice? That's one of the
perks of the strategy that I love. In fact, "figuring out" how
to achieve the goal is counterproductive. You want to set the
goal, float it in your mind and move forward more intuitively,
whether that's through networking, marketing or researching.
Keep taking action and putting your energy out there by – as the
author Julia Cameron says – "shaking the trees."

Step 4: Go out and have fun. You might be thinking – how does
fun connect with accomplishing a goal? Let me explain.
Sometimes when we're having difficulty meeting a goal, we get
tight, serious and start either berating ourselves or blaming
external circumstances. All of these strategies are
counterproductive. While an honest analysis of whether you're
taking the best actions can be beneficial -- once you've
reviewed your actions, go out and have fun. Lighten things up.
Generate positive energy. Take a mental load off -- a watched
pot never boils and neither does a watched goal.

Step 5: Harvest positivity. This is the skill of active
observation. Consciously choose to find and focus on the
positive in any situation. You may have a lifelong habit of
focusing on the negative in situations that aren't to your
liking, feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar. Again, a negative
focus will steer you down an unproductive path. So identify the
positive – once you do, you'll feel like you have more control.
There's nothing like looking at an array of positive options to
boost your spirits and create that "I'm in charge" feeling.

Step 6: Notice what you're avoiding. "What we resist,
persists." I don't know who originally uttered these words, but
they are 100 percent true. What we resist or avoid, internally
or externally, not only persists, it usually expands over time.
Be brutally honest with yourself about what you're avoiding at
this very moment. And what do you tend to avoid time and time
again? Once you have the answer, you can take action on it,
which will open the pathway to meeting your goal with much
greater ease. What could be better than ease?

Step 7: Go out and have fun. Seriously. Don't forget to have
fun! When in doubt, do something nice for yourself or for
someone else. Change the energy – don't let it stagnate. There's
nothing like the power of positive energy to smooth the pathway
to attracting what you want in your life.

Remember, a goal is simply a direction, not necessarily a
destination. We're never really done. Once you reach one goal,
the next goal or goals appear in your vision. So in 2008, float
your goals and watch the new, different and exciting results
that float into your life. And get ready to expect the
unexpected!

If you're young or you're old, protecting your identity is very
important. If you don't already know, if someone steals your
identity, they can cause serious damage to your credit report
without you knowing. While you're not responsible for actions
thieves make, it can take hundreds of hours just to patch
everything up. This is why it's extremely important that you
prevent this from happening.

There are many ways that thieves can get your identity. Some
techniques it's very hard to prevent such as a department store
hack where they access secure information via a store's server
or by getting your number on the black market via the internet
or other avenues. Listed below are a few ways that you can
prevent yourself from someone stealing your identity.

Shred everything you get

Whenever you get something in the mail whether it's a
pre-approved offer of it's a bill with your name on it, make
sure that you shred it through a paper shredder. A paper
shredder cost no more than thirty dollars at your local office
supply store. It's always best to shred just about everything so
that a crook can't piece it back together. Ripping the papers in
half simply won't do, make sure that you shred them.

Watch the ATM

If you like to use the ATM a lot, make sure that you look
around the machine before you pop in your card. Smarter thieves
will place a device on the ATM machine that will actually steal
all of your information. These devices usually look foreign to
the machine. If something like this does show up on the ATM and
you don't feel safe, don't use it and notify the bank
immediately.

Don't put bills in the home mail box

Whenever you pay a bill or you're mailing a bill out, make sure
that you don't place it in the mailbox at home. Thieves can
simply take the mail out of your box and alter it so that the
check looks like it's written out to them. The best thing to do
is drop it off at the post office or a usps mailbox that's
secured.

Don't give your information out

If someone requests information from you such as your social
security number and personal information, don't feel like you
need to give it to them. Make sure that only the correct
officials receive information like this. Never ever give your
personal information to someone you don't know over the phone.

Cancel inactive credit cards

If you have credit cards that haven't been used in six months,
make sure that you call up the companies and cancel them. When
you have credit cards this old, you probably don't check the
online activity or the situation. This is an easy target for a
crook.

Crooks will find many ways to steal your identity. It's
important that you follow the steps mentioned above. You also
have to remember that there are a million other ways to steal
your identity. It's up to you to be smart about it.

Valentine's Day: Grown-Up Style
Copyright (c) 2008 Vasrue.com, All Rights Reserved
Written by: Clinton Douglas IV
Vasrue
http://www.Vasrue.com

At age five, you woke to the anticipation and thrill of paper
valentines and white doilies decorated with taped-on heart-shaped
lollipops. At age fifteen, your heart raced passing a folded note
to your high school crush. Now that you're an adult,
Valentine's day has taken on a whole new meaning.

Alone or attached, coupled or parenting, Valentines Day is the
ideal opportunity to spoil yourself and those you love. Chill the
bubbly, stock-up on chocolate delicacies, stop by the local
florist and plan one of the most spectacular Valentine's ever.

Here's a few tips for making 2008 the most memorable
Valentine's Day ever:

* Reserve a romantic Bed & Breakfast at a locale you've always
longed to visit. Research your options to find the ideal inn
exquisitely decorated, since you'll want to spend most of your
time indoors. Keep in mind, many popular suites book far in
advance and require a minimum three-day stay.

* Book a three- to five-day ocean cruise to Alaska, Hawaii or
the Caribbean. Day or night, the tranquil ocean waters and gentle
waves have lulled the hearts of lovers for centuries.

* Plan a camping trip in the southwest and remember to schedule
time for a warm, crackling bonfire under the stars, with blankets
optional. Bringing the kids? Just pack the ingredients for warm
s'mores.

* Book time at a spa for a day or weekend filled with luxury and
indulgence. Today's spas offer the best in skin and body care
plus health and wellness. You'll return to work - and life -
vibrant, glowing and rejuvenated.

* Arrange for a romantic Valentine weekend at home. Secretly
arrange childcare with friends or family members. Stock-up on
candles, campaign and truffles. Then prepare a candle lit dinner
for two, complete with a mouth-watering chocolate cake and a
fresh flower arrangement. Then wake early to cook a hearty
breakfast in bed.

* Miss time with your family? Take this opportunity to show
everyone in your life how much you love them. Plan a family
vacation to DisneyWorld, the Mall of America or a historical
landmark the kids are learning about in school. Remember to bring
pink and red cards and gifts for everyone.

* Feeling the creative muse? Draw or paint a portrait of your
paramour, buy an elaborate frame to showcase a photo of the two
of you, or craft a clever love poem using secret memories shared
by only you. You might even conjure up a few lyrics to sing to
him or her on that special day.

* Ready to take your relationship to the next level? Thousands
of couples pop the question during this special holiday. If
you're one of those brave souls, carefully ponder your approach
in advance. You might opt for a private moment or one with a bit
more visibility, such as a YouTube video proposal for the world
to see.

* Solo? Don't mope. Valentine's Day is a perfect chance to
reconnect with your friends. Visit your old college buddy on the
East coast or plan a fun-filled girl's night out.

Valentine's Day is a great day to treat and spoil yourself. Plan
ahead and make it a holiday you'll talk about for years to come.

There isn't a finer spot in New York City to spend a relaxing
day then among the fragrant flowers of the New York Botanical
Garden. Housing one of the most extensive collections in the
world, this gem also contains some of the world's leading plant
laboratories. Combined with a trip to the nearby Bronx Zoo, the
New York Botanical Gardens are a great day trip off the island
of Manhattan. The Gardens also represent an economical
alternative to some of the pricier tourist sites in New York,
with an admission fee of only six dollars. Public transportation
is easy, as both MetroNorth and the New York City subway system
service the Gardens.

Founded in 1891 with money generated in a campaign by
Columbia University Botanist Nathaniel Lloyd Britton, the
Botanical Gardens are located on the grounds of the former
Belmont Estate, once owned by a tobacco magnate. The Gardens
were declared a National Historic Monument in 1967.

A visitor could spend weeks ambling through the collection
of the Botanical Gardens. Highlights include a full Japanese
rock garden, a perfect place to relax with a book. The trees
contained in this part of the Gardens include exquisite examples
of the Japanese art of bonsai cultivation. Perhaps the most
important part of the Gardens, at least from a historical
standpoint, is the fifty-acre section of woodlands located in
the center. These trees are the last remnants of the original
woodlands that covered New York City before European
colonization. This section utilizes the natural topography of
the site to incorporate the Bronx River along with various
ridges and hills.

Throughout the year, the Gardens are home to various
festivals and shows, with subjects as varied as antique train
exhibitions to the plants of Africa. The Gardens also often host
art shows. Viewing art in these unique setting is an experience
not to be missed.

For younger children, the Everett Children's Adventure
Garden is a place to frolic and play among mazes and larger-than
life flowers. For kids aged 2 to 12, this great section of the
Gardens is an educational way to enjoy the grounds while parents
take in the other exhibits.

It's not widely known that the Gardens serve a dual
purpose. While providing an urban forest oasis to residents and
tourists, the Gardens are also the home to several research
institutions. They house a 50,000-volume library of books on
botany, one of the world's largest collections. The newest of
these institutions is the Pfizer Plant Research Laboratory,
built with funding from a variety of sponsors, including the
pharmaceutical company from which it takes its name. Its primary
focus is on genetic research.

Make a trip to the Botanical Gardens part of your stay in
New York City. It's one of the best ways to learn something
while at the same time having a fun experience. After all,
there's something to be said for enjoying your own little slice
of nature right in the middle of one of the largest metropolises
on the planet.

For Better or For Worse -- Divorce Can Usually Be Prevented
Copyright (c) 2008 Cyndi Fortin
The Family & Marriage Counseling Directory
http://family-marriage-counseling.com/

Ask a few comedians - or for that matter, anyone whose marriage
failed - what the top cause of divorce among married couples is,
and a fair number of them are going to say that the answer is
obvious: marriage. It may be because of this assertion that more
and more couples are opting to not get married at all; if you
aren't married, there's not any reason why you would have to
get divorced.

The rate at which couples are taking the plunge and getting
married is decreasing even though the overall population is
continuing to grow. Based on a recent study on marriage, 7.5 of
1000 individuals get married during the course of the year; 3.6
of 1000 individuals will get divorced. Though this still seems to
give credence to the idea that half of the marriages that take
place in a year end in divorce, the reality is that the number of
people who are divorcing has decreased during the last twenty
five years.

It's likely that the number of couples who do turn to divorce
because they feel as though it's just not possible to resolve
their disputes have not really looked closely at all of the
options that are available to them. If a couple on the brink of
divorce were willing to make an effort to improve their
communication with the help of relationship counseling, then
divorce could possibly be averted.

It's not that couples are unable to communicate without marriage
counseling so much as it's the case that many people are better
able to fully express themselves when they're prompted by a
marriage counselor - someone who serves in part to facilitate the
conversation, in part as an objective observer and in part to
help the husband and wife to work though the conflicts that they
are facing.

For example, in many cases, the couple is considering divorce
because they are finding that the time they have together isn't
like it was before the marriage. Therapists can help the husband
and the wife to talk about the ways in which they feel isolated
from their partner, to discuss possibilities that could help to
break down the barriers that are between them.

In many cases, these barriers include one spouse bringing too
much work home from the office or simply working long hours. In
many other cases, a husband and a wife who, while they were
dating, saw each other only a few nights each week or who still
had an evening to go out with friends outside of the relationship
have trouble adapting to spending so much time with one another.

When the challenge that a couple is facing relates to the time
that they have, the time they spend together and the time that
they wish they had for themselves, a marriage counselor is able
to work with them to uncover what they are missing and to work
out ways in which they can stay together and have their needs
met. Similarly, if the issue that the couple is facing has to do
with money, relationship counseling can create a neutral ground
where the issues can be brought up with less anxiety and
frustration.

In most marriages there are struggles around money. Maybe the
husband believes he needs the most up to date technology and
spends extra money on the latest accessories. Maybe the wife is
concerned about spending or maybe she tends to go out and spend
money on things that she doesn't need because she's feeling
isolated, lonely and does not know how to process it. A
relationship counselor can help the couple to work out a
solution, and can work with the couple to discuss both the
surface issues and those that are deeper down.

Unresolved hurt is another frequent cause of divorce that family
counseling can help to resolve. When the wife feels that she
needs more help with the kids or when the husband feels that his
needs are in some way being ignored, it's easy for resentments
to build - resentments that, if left unacknowledged, could lead
one or both partner to look for companionship and intimacy with
someone else.

Marriage counseling, on some levels, can help couples to address
their problems while they are still manageable - before the lines
of communication become so shredded that there's nothing left
connecting the husband and wife. It can also serve couples who
are considering divorce because there has already been hurt or a
breach of trust; talking it out, learning to communicate - to
talk and to not only hear but also to listen - can be the first
step on a path to a stronger, healthier, better relationship.

If marriage were easy, "for better or for worse" would not be
included in a couple's wedding vows. However, just because there
are challenges for those who are married doesn't justify
throwing in the towel - at least not before you've tried to work
it out. Remember that you love one another and wanted to share
your lives; things may not work out, however at least you'll
know you've tried your best.

Can Your Products Pass the "Midnight Test"?
Gaining an understanding of how your customers might want
(or need) to use your products and services can guide you
in creating offerings that help people succeed in many
situations and circumstances.

Whether you are developing a product or service for mass
consumption, or creating a customized solution for a
client, imagining how your audiences will consume your
material can make all the difference between their success
and failure.

This article discusses ways to predict circumstances of
use, and why it's so important to anticipate the possible
consequences and ripple effects of your customers'
potential inability to succeed.

For example, if people cannot consume your products and
services properly, will they simply be frustrated or
delayed, or could they also be at risk for losing their own
clients, customers, profitability, credibility, respect,
health, safety, or other vital outcomes?

----------------------------------------------------
What Are Examples of "Routine" Circumstances of Use?
----------------------------------------------------

Routine circumstances involve the range of normal or
typical modes in which people would consume your offerings.
These might occur during the day, in perfectly sunny,
non-stressful conditions, with access to plenty of help and
support in case anything goes awry. These situations might
occur:

-- At home or in one's personal life
-- In the office or in one's professional life
-- At school or in a similar learning situation
-- Traveling by foot, in a car, or on a train, subway, bus,
plane, or van
-- Exercising, such as when walking the dog, bicycling, or
jogging

You can support people's routine circumstances by providing
multiple delivery modes -- such as print, Web, audio, and
video -- that cater to different learning styles and
situations in which customers might use your products.

----------------------------------------------------
What Are Examples of "Non-Routine" Circumstances?
----------------------------------------------------

Non-routine circumstances are the abnormal, unusual, or
even extreme conditions under which people might need to
interact with any of your products, information, systems,
or services, including:

-- Risky or incomplete states, such as during power
fluctuations, using incorrect tools, with insufficient
resources or training, or with a substandard infrastructure.

-- Stressful or isolated conditions, such as during bad
weather, off-hours, or in remote locations, when it would
be hard to address customer concerns or provide assistance
if something failed. These include situations in which
customers might be working late into the night. They might
discover at midnight, for example, that they don't
understand a critical step in a process, or need some other
kind of essential help with your product.

So, in suboptimal circumstances such as these, how would
your offerings react? Would they be able to complete the
action flawlessly, or, almost as ideally, halt the action
intelligently and harmlessly and let your customers know
what to do next?

----------------------------------------------------
How Can You Make Your Offerings More Bulletproof?
----------------------------------------------------

-- Comb your "lessons learned" database from your past
projects or research your customer records to determine
whether you need to make improvements in any area.

-- Once you think you have "perfected" your offerings, test
them with real or representative customers and observe just
how well people can interact with them without your
providing assistance. These usability tests will determine
just how self-explanatory your offerings are, and how your
products would respond in a variety of different situations.

If you ensure that your offerings are bug-free and can
function properly under a range of possible circumstances,
you will prevent the aggravating headaches that could send
your audiences running for the door.

This approach can help you design more ideal routine user
experiences, while also avoiding the risks of producing
unhappy customers because you've overlooked the non-routine
situations.

In conclusion, whether you're developing a basic "how-to"
guide or a complex business system, ask yourself: Can it
pass the "midnight test"? Until you can imagine your
audiences successfully using the product, information,
system, or service in the middle of the night, in isolated
conditions, with no help available of any kind, then it's
simply not ready for prime time!

Abu Dhabi is an emirate (sovereign state) of the United Arab
Emirates; it is also the name of the major city of this emirate,
which is the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi
is the largest of the seven emirates that make up the United
Arab Emirates (the UAE). Abu Dhabi is located on the coast of
the Persian Gulf and is bordered by the emirate of Dubai and the
countries of Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Several exciting property developments are currently under
construction in Abu Dhabi one of which is the development of
Saadiyat Island that is heralded to become the cultural centre
of the region. Saadiyat Island is a natural island 500 meters
off the coast of Abu Dhabi that will be connected to the
mainland by two ten lane causeways. The island will be developed
into six distinct precincts: Al Marina, the Cultural District,
Saadiyat Park, Saadiyat Beach, South Beach and The Wetlands. The
island is being developed as a major international tourist
destination and residential area; it will house an estimated
150,000 residential inhabitants. Tourism will be extremely well
catered for on Saadiyat with hotels, resorts, commercial
shopping centres, and two golf courses (one of which will be a
Gary Player Signature Course), to name just a few of the tourist
facilities to be provided.

The Cultural Centre on Saadiyat Island will be world class with
a performing arts centre and concert hall along with four
museums including the Guggenheim Modern Art Museum designed by
Frank Gehry, and a classical museum The Louvre Abu Dhabi
designed by jean Nouvel.

Another island development in Abu Dhabi is Al Reem Island; this
project is on another natural island off the coast of Abu Dhabi
City that will again cater for residential, commercial and
tourism uses. It is estimated that the island will house two
hundred and eighty thousand residents, and the necessary
amenities for these inhabitants i.e. schools, medical
facilities, shopping centres, restaurants etc. The development
will also include hotels, spas, resorts, a golf course, gardens
and beaches to cater to the lucrative tourist trade.

Al Raha Beach is a development that is being built on reclaimed
land on the coastal side of the main highway that links Abu
Dhabi to Dubai. This development is again a mixed development
aimed at tourism, commercial and residential occupancies. The
development will be split into eleven distinct precincts that
will all have different personalities or themes to appeal to
people's individual tastes and preferences. Al Raha Beach will
accommodate One Hundred and twenty thousand residents in
accommodation ranging from high-rise apartments to villas,
townhouses and exclusive waterfront enclaves complete with
private marinas, as well as private residential islands and a
series of residential peninsulas stretching into the Persian
Gulf. The development will include an extensive canal system
along with bridges and water transportation including ferries,
water taxis, abras and jet cats. The tourist precinct, which is
housed on a separate island just off the coast, has direct beach
access and will be the home to designer boutiques, spas, dining
precincts and of course a luxury hotel among other features.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Baby boy names and baby girl names of 1930 to 1939 reflected
art, music, and literature. Perhaps new parents tried to spare
their children the tough times by naming their babies for a more
gentle side of life. This was especially true for baby girl
names.

People often name their infants in harmony with the world
around them.

The decade of the 1930s was known for hard times and
unemployment. One song that said it all was, "Brother, Can You
Spare a Dime." The stock market crash of 1929 dragged on and
left many people penniless.

To get away from it all, people crowded around their radios
listening to the best-known comics of the day – Jack Benny,
Gracie Allen, and Fred Allen. In 1934, music producer, Cole
Porter, brought the house down with his swinging songs,
"Anything Goes," and "You're the Tops." For a few precious
moments, people could forget hunger and worry.

The following year, Cole Porter came out with "Begin the
Beguine," and "Just One of Those Things." Meanwhile, George
Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" made everyone feel like dancing.
In the art world, Childe Hassam caught the sunlight and placed
it in his paintings for all to see.

The 10 top baby boy names from 1930 to 1939, in order of
popularity, were Robert, James, John, William, Richard, Charles,
Donald, George, Thomas, and Joseph. They are essentially the
same popular names of the 1920s – with only one change. "Thomas"
took the place of "Edward." They are all Christian saints'
names. They are also royal names that go back in history for
centuries.

Robert (English) means "brilliant;" James (English) means
"steadfast;" John (Hebrew) means "honorable;" William (English)
means "staunch protector;" Richard (Germanic) means "strong
ruler;" Charles (German) means "well-loved;" Donald (Scots
Gaelic) means "world ruler;" George (Greek) means "loving the
land;" Thomas (Greek) means "twin;" and Joseph (Hebrew) means
"supported by God."

From 1930 to 1939, the top baby girl names were a big change
from the names of the previous decade. New entries included
Shirley, Patricia, Joan, and Nancy. Most are powerful biblical
names, names of saints and world leaders.

These names, in order of their popularity, are Mary, Betty,
Barbara, Shirley, Patricia, Dorothy, Joan, Margaret, Nancy, and
Helen.

Mary (Hebrew) means "spiritual;" Betty (Hebrew) from
"Elizabeth" means "God-loving;" Barbara (Greek) means "unusual;"
Shirley (English) is derived from a place name meaning "bright
meadow;" Patricia (Latin) means "of noble birth;" Dorothy
(Greek) means "gift of God;" Joan (Middle English) is the female
form of "John," meaning "God-loving;" Margaret (Greek) means
"treasured pearl;" Nancy (Medieval English) is the pet form of
"Agnes," and means "generous;" Helen (Greek) means "beautiful."

People struggled to make it through the decade of the 1930s.
The stock market crash left the whole country shattered. Tens of
thousands abandoned farms to move into the city and look for
jobs that did not exist.

On the plus side, there was a new president, Franklin Delano
Roosevelt, in the White House. A fast sleek car called the
"Pierce Arrow" was all the rage. Artists of the 1930's such as
William Graves Sharp and John Singer Sargent produced paintings
to lift the heart. Broadway came alive again with the smash
musical, "Over the Rainbow." Hemingway and Steinbeck were
writing masterpieces that have never been matched.

The glorious baby boy names and baby girl names of the 1930s
may have helped children weather the storm and dash happily into
the fabulous 1940s. Everyone knew the road ahead was filled with
sunshine.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The vb.net shopping cart can be a plus for the online retailer,
especially one that is using Windows applications for his or her
website. As many have come to find, a good shopping cart feature
can make or break the success of an ecommerce venture. Without a
doubt, having a viable shopping cart that is compatible with the
website's programming is an absolute must.

A website can sell any number of products and present them in a
very smart and fashionable manner. However, the most important
thing to the consumer is getting the goods they want in a timely
manner. If a customer cannot even get through the purchase
process without a problem, he or she will likely move on to
another website.

When an online merchant is in need of a vb.net shopping cart
for their website, he or she can usually find their solution
with an online storefront provider. These types of service
providers are highly familiar with the different compatible
programming platforms and languages. By setting things up
correctly from the beginning, a merchant has a better chance of
building and keeping a consistent customer base.

For the individual just starting out, many of these aspects can
seem rather confusing and intimidating. However, with a little
bit of research and the willingness to ask questions and learn,
many find their fears unfounded. A good storefront service
provider typically offers various shopping cart programs that
are very user friendly.

A user-friendly shopping cart program is a best bet for not
only the customers but the online merchant as well. Even with
the best of shopping cart programs, occasional errors can occur;
nonetheless, the error should be easy to spot and easy to fix.
This can mean having a shopping cart feature that is most
reliable even with the occasional glitch.

Once a merchant gets the gist of using the vb.net shopping
cart, he or she can do a number of other things that help their
business. This can be anything from seeing daily average sales
to what kind of credit card is used most often. Accurate
accounting information is one of the most important aspects of
any business, online or not.

A compatible shopping cart program that runs smoothly is also
key for providing customers with a sense of safety while
shopping on a site. Many customers have had the unfortunate
experience of being double charged when a shopping cart feature
halted or timed out in the middle of a transaction. Once this
happens, a site often not only loses a customer but will also
lose credibility.

As much as people like to shop on the Internet these days, many
are just as wary of having their payment information stolen. A
reliable shopping cart feature is the best way to build
confidence and a solid reputation. This is especially true if
the shopping cart program has many functions, such as cross
selling, saved searches or shipping and tax calculators.

Along with being compatible with a website's programming, a
shopping cart also needs to fit the number of products being
sold. A site that only sells one or two products will not need a
program that is overly complex. This should be saved for the
site that sells a vast and varied number of products.

Though there are many shopping cart types to choose from, the
vb.net shopping cart provides yet another functional option. A
good shopping cart program is compatible with many different
payment types, from credit cards to online check payments.
Giving website owners freedom to customize their sites can
create just the confidence that leads to better sales.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Extending from the Mexican mainland in the shape of a `7', the
many beaches of Cancun's Hotel Zone have recently received a
significant facelift. Almost immediately after much of the sand
lining the Caribbean Sea was carried away in a storm, a crew of
over 200 people began restoring the beaches. However, the
rebuilding didn't stop when the beaches were restored to their
original size. Much like the premier resorts of Cancun that
utilized this rebuilding period to make their accommodations
even more luxurious and inviting, the beaches were rebuilt with
an average width of 140 feet – making most beaches 50% bigger
than their original size. Today, with all of the rebuilding
completed, the beaches of Cancun offer visitors even more
activities and space to relax.

The beaches along the stretch of land extending into the
Caribbean are typically referred to as the North Side beaches.
As these beaches are somewhat sheltered from the Caribbean
current by Isla Mujeres, the wind and wave conditions at these
beaches are typically very mild. While the beaches of the East
Side might be for some water sports, many of the North Side
beaches are perfect for swimming and family activities.

Here is overview of the North Side Beaches, from west to east,
approaching the Caribbean Sea and the main stretch of Cancun's
Hotel Zone:

Playa Las Perlas – Located at the beginning of the Hotel Zone
where the land begins stretching into the Caribbean, this beach
is a popular choice for swimming and other water sports. When
you've finished having fun in the water, Playa Las Perlas also
has plenty of charming restaurants and bars.

Playa Linda – This North Side beach is located near many
popular tourist destinations and features calm, crystal-clear
water that is perfect for all types of family-friendly water
sports. As a result, Playa Linda is the best place to find
submarine and scuba diving tours.

Playa Langosta and Playa Tortugas – These neighboring beaches
are known for their pristine sand and relaxed atmosphere. With
slightly larger waves than Playa Las Perlas, these two beaches
also offer great opportunities for families to try active water
sports like waterskiing, jet skiing and boating.

Playa Caracol – This beautiful beach has long been one of the
most popular stretches of sand in Cancun. With shallow water
leading out into a smooth, sandy bottom, Playa Caracol and its
share of the Caribbean Sea is one of the best destinations for
families. After the kids have enjoyed splashing in the
crystal-clear water, parents can enjoy all the nearby
restaurants and shops.

As the beaches of Cancun's East Side extend directly into the
Caribbean Sea, visitors will experience slightly higher waves
and breezier conditions than on the North Side of the peninsula.
However, nearly all of Cancun's East Side beaches feature a
family-friendly atmosphere and offer exciting activities for
visitors of all ages.

Furthermore, as most of Cancun's premier resorts rest of the
East Side of the peninsula, you won't have any trouble finding
world-class shopping and dining within walking distance of the
beach.
The beaches described here are in order from north to south,
with the best resorts and activities residing at the
southernmost end of the peninsula:

Gaviota Azul, Chac Mool and Playa Marlin – These three special
stretches of sand are the northernmost beaches on the East Side
of the Hotel Zone. While these beaches might not be as glamorous
as those further south near the exclusive resorts, all three
offer plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Also, as
the wave action is the highest offshore from these beaches,
windsurfing and parasailing have become popular sports here.

Playa Ballenas – This beach, centrally located on the East Side
of the Hotel Zone, is known for its family-friendly activities.
Every member of the family can enjoy activities like swimming,
tubing, boating and waterskiing. Furthermore, as Playa Ballenas
rests in the heart of Cancun's most exciting area, there is also
plenty to explore on land.

San Miguelito – Known as the beach that adds a little history
to the exciting Cancun experience, San Miguelito allows visitors
to explore ancient Mayan ruins while playing in the sand. Beyond
the important historical remains located on the beach, San
Miguelito is also a great place to swim or simply relax beneath
the shade of a palapa.

Playa Delfines and Playa Nizuc – Located at the southern end of
the Hotel Zone's East Side, these beaches offer some of the best
scenery in Cancun. As Playa Delfines and Playa Nizuc are both
nestled against some of the best resorts in Cancun, there are
also plenty of great restaurants and other activities to enjoy.

Following the extensive rebuilding period, nearly everything in
Cancun is better than ever and the city hardly missed a beat.
The improved beaches of Cancun allow you and your family to play
in the near-endless sand, frolic in the warm water or simply
relax in the sun.

Throw in the family-oriented beach culture and the countless
activities of the Hotel Zone and you'll see why Cancun is one of
the best family destinations in the Caribbean.

As an extension of the wedding celebration, of course you will
want your honeymoon to go smoothly and to be fun for you and
your spouse. Of course, the honeymoon is a chance to buy and
wear some new clothing to celebrate your new life as a married
couple, and while your focus is to be on the outerwear, don't
neglect the lingerie for your honeymoon as well. New clothing
for the bedroom can help create the right atmosphere for getting
closer with your spouse, for sleeping, and for going through
your routine. To help you purchase well when you buy lingerie
for your honeymoon, here are some tips:

Even if you purchase some lingerie for your honeymoon with the
intention of spicing things up in the bedroom, be sure to buy
something that's a little more conservative and tasteful for
your collection. Even a simple chemise can look attractive
without being too revealing. Keeping the majority of your
lingerie on your honeymoon tasteful also ensures that should
housekeeping burst into the hotel room or your curtains allow
anyone to see in, even a little, you'll be decent.

Just because the lingerie on your honeymoon should be tasteful,
however, doesn't mean you need to skimp on the material it's
made of. Silk and satin are materials that are soft on the skin
and comfortable to wear, which is what you'll want when you're
trying for a little romance in the bedroom. Not only will you
feel better wearing such nice things on your body, but it will
better encourage your spouse to hold you when cuddling at night,
or in the morning, which is what you want while on your
honeymoon.

While you're out shopping for lingerie for your honeymoon,
don't neglect your husband, either. Just as new lingerie for
your honeymoon will make you feel better at bedtime, so will
some new bed wear for him, as well. Buy a pair of silk or satin
pajamas or boxers for your husband, and he's almost certain to
appreciate the care you've taken in helping him to look elegant
in the bedroom. And while you're buying some pajamas for him,
consider looking for some his and hers bathrobes that match. Not
only will it be a gift that helps to reaffirm your new life
together, but also it'll make a nice look as you lounge around
during lazy mornings during your honeymoon. With just a little
care, you'll find that you have some great selections of
lingerie for your honeymoon.

Do You Have Your Own "Business Success Criteria"?
Do you have a crystal clear idea of what kinds of business
undertakings will align with your gifts, talents, passions,
and strengths? If so, you are in an excellent position to
choose the ventures that can give you the greatest
satisfaction and results.

Developing a set of "business success criteria" can help
you select a worthwhile endeavor with much deeper insight,
and thus establish the conditions for successfully pursuing
it.

Why is this critical? Many people wander into businesses,
projects, and professions opportunistically, meaning that
they grab something that comes along because it's available
and convenient. At times, this may be necessary for
financial reasons. But unless we understand our underlying
success criteria, we might not recognize the options that
truly fuel and inspire us -- those that are best suited to
our passions and strengths.

---------------------------------------------------------
From "Corporate Passenger" to "Entrepreneurial Driver"
---------------------------------------------------------

Identifying business success criteria can be easier for
some people than for others. For example, those who leave
corporate life to pursue an entrepreneurial endeavor might
experience a more roundabout discovery process. For that
reason, I'll use the following story to illustrate how this
process might occur.

Roger and Roberta have grown tired of the grind and
internal politics of corporate life. When their kids leave
home, they conclude that it's time to switch to something
more rewarding. But what? After a great deal of thought,
they decide to start by contracting out their services to
their former employers, which seems like the safest way to
begin their transition. Later, they believe they will
tackle some kind venture together, such as starting or
buying a business.

After spending many years working as jobholders, however,
their mindsets are still functioning in an employee mode.
Because their outlooks revolve primarily around meeting the
expectations of others, Roger and Roberta simply haven't
developed their own sets of values, visions, and goals.

In some ways, they feel as if they've been passengers in
the back seat of a moving car, unable to steer. To pursue
starting or buying their own business, they'll need to find
a way to move from the "passenger's seat" to the "driver's
seat" where they'll have better visibility and more control
over their destinies.

And although they don't realize it yet, doing this will
mean changing their mindsets. They'll first need to shift
from thinking like employees to thinking like contractors.
Then they'll need to start thinking like consultants.
Ultimately, they'll need to think like entrepreneurs. Along
the way, they will develop their own business success
criteria that will enable them to identify business
ventures, clients, collaborators, and employees that fit
them like a glove.

---------------------------------------------------------
How to Derive Your Own Success Criteria
---------------------------------------------------------

I work with clients to meticulously identify their life
passions, purpose, strengths, gifts, life themes, and core
values. By the end of that process, they have a list of the
specific ways in which they can evaluate future business
ventures, partners, clients, and projects. Some of the
criteria are more practical and others more lofty. But each
selected criterion seems essential to achieving balance,
fulfillment, financial return, and higher contribution in
their lives.

For example, your success criteria can include everything
from maintaining a healthy mix of work and recreation to
seeking only what you believe you could be the best in the
world at doing. Your criteria also can include many
practical considerations, such as the qualities you would
desire in potential collaborators. To spark your
imagination, consider using categories such as these, each
of which can hold more specific criteria:

* Alignment with passions and strengths
* Startup or acquisition requirements
* Potential for return on investment
* Control over working parameters
* Traits of potential collaborators
* Quality-of-life considerations
* Exit options or alternatives

Did you notice that the criteria are fairly neutral? That's
because only you (or your team) can decide just how
important each criterion is. You can then assign numerical
priorities, rankings, or weights to your criteria. In this
way, you'll create a powerful checklist for comparing,
scoring, evaluating, and ultimately selecting future
business ventures and related conditions, which will
thereby set the conditions for success.

To summarize, aligning your life passions with your
business purpose can help you define your business success
criteria. Especially when you shift into an entrepreneurial
mode after many years of corporate employment, those
criteria illuminate how to choose the right situations, and
establish the conditions for successfully pursuing them.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
People, particularly women love jewelries. They admire it, wear
it and they would always feel beautiful while flaunting it. All
types of jewelry need to be taken care of to maintain that glow
and luster. Though durable and strong, these pieces of
accessories are exposed to a lot of things daily that can make
it dull and old. Now, how do you make them beautiful and
sparkling for many years to come? Below are some tips you should
follow to make your jewelry looking at its best always.

Tip #1: Make it a habit to clean your jewelries

There are many jewelry cleaners and polishers available in the
market. Nevertheless, when you choose a cleaner, make sure that
these cleaners are specially made for the type of gemstone or
metal your jewelry is made of. Not all cleaners can be used for
all types of metals and gemstones. There are cleaners created
for metals such as silver and gold but are not recommended to be
used in gemstones.

They have the instructions and directions printed on their
label so read them before using the commercial cleaners. If you
are not sure of the cleaner you bought, it would be safer to
just clean your jewelries with water and mild soap. This
combination works most of the time and be sure to keep it dry
before storing.

Tip #2: Keep your jewelries away from harsh chemicals

Any jewelry item can be damaged from chemical exposure. Look
around your kitchen and you will find numerous household
cleaners that will discolor your precious items. The Tile Bowl
cleaner is made of HCL or Hydrochloric Acid. This Acid will etch
silver and low quality gold in no time. The mildew cleaner is
made up of Chlorine; this will also tarnish your jewelry
especially silver. The ordinary glass cleaner may look harmless
but indeed the cleaning agent ammonia which it is made of will
affect gold.

Tip #3: Keep your jewelries segregated

Jewelries have different designs and metal hardness, not to
mention gemstones that are synthetic and natural. Never keep
them in one place only. The friction will easily cause them to
have scratches all over due to regular tossing. When you look
for a ring buried and tangled with other bracelet and necklace,
that will result to minute scratches that become visible in no
time.

Tip #4: Always wear your jewelries last

Never put on your jewelries first when you are preparing for
work or school. People, especially women love to wear perfume or
use body lotion. These things leave residue that may build up on
jewelries and can make cleaning more challenging to do. So
before you put them on, make sure that you have applied beauty
products long before to allow drying time.

These are easy-to-follow steps with long lasting benefits
although many jewelry owners seem to ignore them. Jewelries are
bought not only for beauty and elegance but as investment as
well. So, don't put your investment to waste. Give your
jewelries the extra care and you will enjoy them more in the
coming years.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
Car in dash DVD players and other automotive DVD players are
appearing more often in vehicles these days as a larger number
of cheap car DVD players appear on the market. But sometimes it
is hard for a person to know where to start looking for a car
DVD player ad what to look for.

The first thing to consider is where to purchase an automotive
DVD or component. One method is to buy your system through a
bricks and mortar car audio store, which should be able to fit
you with the system you need. Another is to buy it on the
internet from a Car DVD Players wholesaler, a source which often
provides discount car DVD players for lower prices than the
bricks and mortar store. However, there are still some key
questions you will need to ask, and points to consider, wherever
you choose to get your system from.

Will I get all the components I need?

There is nothing worse than paying good money for a car dvd
player, going to install it and finding you still need to buy
the speakers, TV tuners, TV antennas, wires, brackets or other
components before it can be installed. After all, what is the
point of buying an in dash car TV DVD player if you don't get
the tuner or aerial to make it work.

Who will install it?

This depends on where the car DVD player is being purchased. If
purchased from a bricks and mortar store then it should be
offered by the vendor as electronic goods cost more at stores
than they do online.

Can I connect my USB devices or flash memory cards to the
player?

More music and data you want shown in vehicles is stored on
computers and USB and an increasing number of car DVDs have a
plug-in function. These USB ports can also be a useful point to
install Bluetooth cellular car phone kits.

What formats does it support?

Will it support MP3s or MPEGs? What about AVI files? If you are
choosing a system that will accept USBs and flash memory cards
it is always good to check that the system will accept the
format of programs you store most often on flash.

What region DVD's does this player accept?

DVD's are becoming increasingly multi-regional but that doesn't
necessarily mean that every car DVD player will play every DVD.
It is always a good idea to check which region of DVDs you are
actually to make sure your dvd player car audio in dash unit is
compatible with your collection.

How big is the screen?

The cost of LCD screens have come down a lot in last 12 months,
as seen by Panasonic's 150-inch LCD screen showcased at this
year's Consumer Electronics Show, which cost the same as the 109
inch screen the company put on display at the show the previous
year. As a result, in dash car TV DVD players with 6.5 and 7
inch screens are considered to be the norm, and should be
extremely affordable.

It's got a screen, but is it a touch screen?

We all know what a touch screen is, it is one of the things
that has made the iPod such a big hit globally. Touch screens
are becoming increasingly common and automotive dvds with touch
screens should not be astronomically priced. After all, there is
nothing worse than hunting for a tiny knob when trying to change
music whilst on the road.

Considering the functions you would like the Car TV DVD player
to perform and finding out several pieces of pertinent
information are essential if you want to get a good car DVD
system that suits your needs.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
The creation and development of the site is not the be all and
end all of an online presence for your business. The next
important step would be to select the right web hosting for your
online business. This would be a significant factor that would
decide the future course of your website.

A web hosting service provider must be chosen with great care
and forethought. There are a few factors that you can keep in
mind before making your choice. Here are some of them.

Research is the Key

Like in anything else, you must first understand the concept
and choices in terms of web hosting. There is a school of
thought that believes that you must go for a dedicated hosting
provider when another gives importance to a hosting reseller.

Whatever, be your choice you must give due importance to
factors like dedicated and superior customer support, extensive
domain knowledge, and affordable and practical web hosting
plans.

The Requirements

Before you choose web hosting services, you must have a fair
idea of your requirements taking into consideration the present
and the future. For e.g. if you want to start off with a simple,
linear site, but have plans to upgrade it into a highly
interactive and dynamic site, you must make sure that your web
host would have no problems in the up-gradation of the site and
its subsequent hosting.

What this essentially means is your web hosting service
provider must be able to offer you a range of packages, which
also enable you to plan for the future.

Installations and other Compliances

Contemporary websites use various types of sophisticated
software for optimal usage and functionality. Most sites today,
are database driven and hence emerges the requirement for
customized or readymade script installations.

It's of utmost importance that the server that is going to host
your website be preinstalled with all the necessary components.
There are a few hosting companies that offer preinstalled
software and scripts that one can install and use on an
immediate basis.

The server should also be compliant with all the future
requirements of your site. Only after making sure about such
pointers, must you make your decision

The Operating Systems

If you are looking for an affordable option then you must
choose the web hosting service provider who uses an operating
system that can be cost-effective for you. For e.g. a Linux
based web hosting service is much cheaper than a Window based
web hosting service.

Bandwidth

You must understand that the bandwidth offered to you, would
determine the amount of data that can be transferred. Moreover,
if your website is going to attract a large amount of traffic,
then it's going to consume a large amount of bandwidth quota.
So, pick a web host who can provide you with enough bandwidth to
satisfy all your needs.

Customer Support

Will you be able to depend on your web host? That is the
question to be answered. A web hosting service provider must
offer you a 24x7 support. Moreover, they must also regularly
undertake server maintenance, so as to ensure that your website
is continuously accessible.

Security

Security is one of the most important considerations that you
must take into account before choosing your web host. You must
be assured that your website will be secure and won't be hacked.
Moreover, only authorized users must be able to make changes to
the website. All these factors taken together contribute to the
overall of success of your website and in turn positively affect
your business.

Pricing

Quite an important factor, but don't make this your only
consideration. Choosing the best web hosting service is not
easy, and at times, you might have to pay a little bit more to
get superior services. However, having said that, also bear in
mind that not all expensive hosts are good. Go for price
comparison and their associated features and benefits before
making your choice.

Reliability and Accessibility

Two key attributes that a web host must promise you. A site
must be updated on time, and must never be down and always be
available for its users. If the web host cannot promise these
things then its better to steer clear of that particular service
provider.

Hopefully the above tips would help you in making the right
decision when it comes to choosing the perfect web host for your
website.

Rawhide lamp shades add just the right western decorating touch
you need for a rustic make over. For many people, western or
southwest decorating is something that they love but don't have
an idea of how to bring into their own home. For some reason it
seems like it is not possible to bring the old west home. Or
perhaps the question is; where do I begin with rustic
decorating?

In reality, adding rustic flavor to your home with rawhide lamp
shades is easy, functional and doesn't have to cost a fortune.
With the introduction of just a few key elements any home can
have the western ranch look, the rustic appeal of a cabin or the
warm feel of a southwest pueblo style. Home decorating with
rawhide lamp shades can make any room come alive with rustic
cowboy style. You don't even have to have every piece in place
to begin a dramatic affect. Just add a few touches around your
home as you can to create a great new look.

Rawhide lamp shades will set the focal points around the room
and give you the foundation necessary to add other elements.
Vintage lamps make a great statement but you can also us wrought
iron lamps. If your budget allows, use antler lamps and
chandeliers for one of the most classic looks in western lodge
and home decor. You can also make your own lamps from drift
wood or pottery. But, if you can't add new lamps, chances are
that rawhide shades will work with your existing lamps too.
Lampshades made of stretched rawhide will really add to that
cowboy feel even with traditional lamps. The most important
thing is to keep the design functional.

Along with rustic lighting and the warm glow of rawhide
lampshades around the room, add style and color with woven
Indian style area rugs. If you already have hardwood floors,
you will be well on your way to a great western feel. But a
wooden floor while beautiful can have a cold empty feel. Using
colorful hand woven wool rugs, table runners and place mats will
warm the room and heighten the western theme. And if you have
wall to wall carpeting, the wool southwest rugs will work
perfectly to transform your decor. Be on the look out for
Navajo rugs and weavings or at least reproductions of classic
Native American patterns. Try some on the wall too as tapestries
for a rich full look.

With rustic lamps, rawhide lamp shades and floor and walls
adorned, look at the windows. If possible leave them uncovered.
If you don't already have rustic wood trimmed windows, try
adding a rough wood plank across the top to give to affect of a
wood beam like used in southwestern pueblos. If you have to use
window treatments for privacy, try a wooden valance with simple
straight panel curtains.

Finish with other rustic elements like wrought iron and wood
accessories. Think about door knobs or cabinet and drawer pulls
in western styles and some log furniture pieces. Other unique
accessories will be stoneware and painted Indian pottery. And,
one of the most basic techniques to add color and texture is to
place a western throw blanket over the back of a chair or end of
a couch. Rawhide lamp shades work especially well in the
bedroom along with southwest bedspreads. Lay a cowhide down as a
rug and your new western look will be complete.

================== ARTICLE START ==================
E-tailers are simply retailers who use the internet to sell
their goods/services to their customers, rather than actual
stores. There are two types of e-tailer, one category whereby
e-commerce is the only operation undertaken by the company;
examples of such organisations include E-Bay, Amazon, and Dell.
The other type includes e-commerce as part of their overall
marketing strategy, whilst still having a physical, `bricks and
mortar' tore, whereby customers can still go in and purchase the
good/service. Examples of this type of e-tailer are Dixons,
Tesco and WH Smith.

Those companies who operate purely as ecommerce stores are able
to achieve greater profit margins, due to their set up and
operational costs being much lower than that of a traditional
store. They do not have to pay any rent on a building – whilst
they still often have to pay for their Web Hosting, the cost is
much less, there are no added rates for such overheads as water,
electricity, gas, etc. Labour costs are significantly less,
where one person could realistically run a website, package
goods and answer enquiries via email; this is unlikely to be the
case where a full time store is involved. On top of these price
differences, an online store can be viewed/accessed 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, from only one location. Shoppers in China,
for example, can purchase goods at the touch of a button from a
UK based e-tailer, but would struggle to make the 10,000 mile
round trip to go to the actual store!

It is becoming essential for retailers to have at least some
form of internet based access, whether this is a site whereby
goods/services can actually be purchased, or purely
informational, so customers can preview products and gather
information on the store in general (for example, their nearest
retailer or company phone number/contact details) before they
visit.

E-tailers must realize that it is not enough to simply have an
aesthetically pleasing web site, which is full of product
information alongside great photos and detailed product reviews;
this is all well and good, but useless without sufficient
knowledge of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine
Optimization (SEO) in order to target the necessary traffic
towards the site. Even something as simple as an appropriate
domain name can have a big difference on the number of people
visiting your site – they should be kept small and concise,
preferably without a hyphen, as people tend to forget these and
this could lead to them being sent directly to your competitor!
Word of mouth advertising is priceless, so by using an address
that sounds exactly how it is spelt can work wonders for
spreading positive information.

SEO and SEM practices change regularly, and there is no
guarantee that any particular methods will work. The best way to
ensure a good ranking on the search engines is to employ an
`expert' to work full time at increasing the chances of traffic
being directed to your website. Whilst many web designers may
claim to be adept at SEO, there a relatively few personnel
currently in the UK with any real in depth knowledge of the
subject, so it is worthwhile spending the extra time/money on
making sure your company is well represented within the search
engine rankings, and chasing that all important #1 spot.
