Be Prepared with a Will
In an effort to start the new calendar year off right, it
is time to think about those issues that perhaps have taken
a back seat. For instance, a will. If you are an adult
with assets or a parent, you need to prepare yourself for
the unexpected so that your assets and children are taken
care of in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Otherwise, you are at the mercy of your state's statue;
which may not be what you had intended for your belongings
or your children.
Many individuals think that after their death, the spouse
receives their inheritance (excluding joint ownership of a
house); this is a false belief. Your inheritance will get
divided between your spouse and children. If you have no
children, it gets divided between your spouse and living
parents.
In the event of your and your spouse's death, the courts
will appoint a guardian for your children if there is not
an appointed guardian in your will. Many individuals
verbally appoint a guardian, but often fail to write it
down. Verbally asking someone to take care of your children
after your death will not hold up in court; you must create
a will.
Hiring an attorney to look over your will, is not a bad
idea. Attorneys can think of things that you perhaps have
overlooked; this can be particularly helpful if you are in
a second or third marriage and have children with your
previous spouses or your spouse has children from previous
marriages. They can also assist you if you are part owner
of a business or have many assets that could create a
family dispute after your death.
In the event that you are single and without children,
evaluate all of your assets as well as tangible property
(referring to the contents of your home). If you would like
specific pieces to go to certain people that are not
related to you or perhaps a charity, then you need to name
these individuals in the will.
Once the process of a will has been completed, make it
valid. Some states do not find a handwritten will with just
your signature binding. You may want to check with the
state you reside in to make sure. Otherwise, type it and
sign it in front of at least two witnesses and then have
them sign it as well.
Keep it updated. Just because you created a will and made
it valid, does not mean you are done. Review your will
every two years or if you get married, divorced or have
children. You do not have to rewrite the entire will if you
have acquired new assets; you may just add an amendment.
Attorneys advise against making changes directly onto your
will as this may nullify the entire will.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
Dyslexia is a condition that causes someone to have trouble
reading, right? O.K., so what are Visual Dyslexia, Auditory
Dyslexia, Phonological Dyslexia and Orthographic Dyslexia? What
are these all about? Answer: The meaning of the term 'dyslexia'
can depend on who is using it. The terms for various types of
dyslexia describe certain very specific symptoms and conditions
that pertain to the problem in general. The details are
explained, just read on...
If you should become confused reading about dyslexia, don't
feel that you are all alone! When you start to research
information about dyslexia you read of Visual Dyslexia, Auditory
Dyslexia, Phonological Dyslexia and Orthographic Dyslexia. What
do all of these mean? What are the differences between one and
the others?
There is a lot of confusion in the terminology being used.
Let's try to clear up some of the confusion and get a clearer
perspective on the different types of dyslexia and on the term
'dyslexia' in general.
First off, you need to understand that there are two different
schools of thought about the term 'dyslexia'. This has led to
two working definitions and two different ways in which the word
"dyslexia" itself is used. These are:
1. Academic: In the academic sense the word "dyslexia" has a
literal meaning based on the etymology of the word itself. From
its parts, 'Dys' means wrong or problematic (for example, as in
'dysfunctional') and 'lexia', means pertaining to words and
letters. So literally, 'dys'-'lexia' refers to problems with
words. In this sense then, anyone who has a problem with
reading, for whatever reason, has dyslexia.
2. Popular Use: There is a wider use and application, used by
parents of dyslexics and by dyslexic adults. In the applications
sense, dyslexia refers to a range of symptoms that includes
problems with reading, writing and spelling plus other problems
such as hearing difficulty, poor memory and a lack of physical
coordination.
So much for the general definitions. Now on to dyslexia types.
The first attempt to sub-divide and describe the different
types of dyslexia was made by Marshall and Newcombe in 1973.
They set forth the ideas of 'surface', 'phonological' and
'double-deficit' dyslexia.
Surface Dyslexia. The symptoms of Surface Dyslexia relate to
mistakes made in areas where the rules of English pronunciation
are inconsistent. For example, "bowl" is read as though it
rhymed with "howl", and "enough" might be read as though it
rhymed with "dough", or vice-versa.
Phonological Dyslexia, is a failure to grasp the phonic nature
of the English language. Individuals with it have great problems
reading new or nonsense words because they do not and cannot
grasp the links between the individual sounds or phonemes and
letters before them on the page.
Double-Deficit Dyslexia is the term applied to the condition of
individuals who have both dyslexia types: Surface Dyslexia and
Phonological Dyslexia.
Auditory Dyslexia and Visual Dyslexia both stem from the
magnocellular theory of dyslexia. This theory holds that
dyslexics have neurological weaknesses in the magnocellular
cells of the thalamus area of the brain. This area is where
rapid processing of visual and auditory information normally
takes place.
Many studies have shown that while dyslexics do have weaknesses
in their visual and auditory processing, these weaknesses are
not to the same degree. One result could be that a child with
poor hearing skills but with average visual skills may be
diagnosed as having Auditory Dyslexia, whereas one with poor
visual skills but average hearing may be diagnosed as having
Visual Dyslexia.
Orthographic Dyslexia is the last of the dyslexia types.
Orthography is the set of symbols or letters that make up a
language. In English this is the 26 letters of the alphabet
whilst in Japanese or Chinese it covers thousands of different
symbols.
And so Orthographic Dyslexia relates to problems in identifying
and manipulating letters in reading, writing and spelling.
Perhaps the above explanations have helped clarify the
terminology being used to describe the dyslexia types and
hopefully, made it more understandable.

When you buy a car you want to buy the best car that your money
can buy but you want to make sure that your car finance program
is equally as good. After you have your car you want to make
sure that you have the best insurance, but of course you want to
make sure that you have the best price for your great coverage.
When you are looking for car financing or for car insurance if
you want to get the most for your money you will need to spend
some time shopping around for the best programs out there.
There is something for everyone and you don't need to pay top
dollar for the best coverage.
Getting the Most for Your Money
When you are looking for car finance help you want to get the
best loan that your money can buy. For some people this means
having the best interest rate and for others this means that
they are able to buy the car that they want. If you want the
best car finance program that money can buy you first need to
determine what is important for you.
To some people interest is everything so they won't accept a
loan that has an interest rate of more than 7%. To other people
they simply want to get into the car of their dreams, so they
don't care if their interest rate is 20% as long as their
monthly payment stays where it needs to be. For this reason,
you need to determine what is important to you.
When you know what is important to you when it comes to car
finance you will then need to start shopping around. Some
lenders may require you to jump through hoops to get what you
want while others will require that you simply provide them with
the paperwork and financial information that is needed to
process the loan. Which seems more reasonable? Everyone has a
different idea of what they are willing to do for that perfect
loan just as they have a different idea of what that perfect
loan is.
When it comes to buying the best car insurance that money can
buy, you will need to shop around, plain and simple. When it
comes to car insurance there is a lot of competition out there
and when you have competition that means that you are often able
to get great coverage at great prices. Luckily there are a lot
of websites out there that will help you compare and contrast
coverage so you are sure to get the best deal.
Again, it all comes down to knowing what you want and then
finding the best deal. This is different for everyone, which is
why the process of getting the most for your money may require a
bit of legwork on your part, but it will be worth it. Simply do
a bit of work and chances are you'll get great coverage! And at
the end of it all, you will find the journey worth it.

If you are looking for an absolutely top French Riviera Hotel
then look no further than the Chateau de Chevre d'Or perched
high up in the very heart of the very pretty village of Eze. In
fact it seems to be almost just below cloud level, and has
probably the finest views in all of the Mediterranean as it sits
seemingly perched between the mountains and the sea.
What Riviera Hotel can possibly be its equal with a panorama
such as this. The Chateau de Chevre d'Or has its rooms and
suites scattered through the village, and you are unlikely to
find more elegant accommodation anywhere else in this part of
the world.
If you decide to book the Chevre d'Or then take full advantage
of what the hotel has to offer. It is the ideal place for a
couple seeking a long getaway weekend, or a romantic break, or
just a battery recharge for a few days. It is probably not a
long stay family holiday place, if for no other reason it is
jolly expensive but equally you certainly get what you pay for.
The price has been described as indecent, but for a once in a
lifetime experience, it can easily be justified.
If you can take a balcony room, you might get an upgrade. The
best way to describe the Chevre d'Or is to say that it is
terraced into the side of the mountain, with lovely statues and
fountains everywhere.
You will discover the service is amazing, and much better than
you will find in even the best hotels worldwide never mind any
other French Riviera Hotel.
Allow yourself to be pampered, and you probably won't want to
leave the hotel. There is a lovely pool to relax by, which is
one level below the restaurant and some of the balcony rooms are
another level up from that, or you can just laze on the balcony
and enjoy the view, or even just sit in your Jacuzzi tub.
Balcony rooms have a sitting room with a glass door onto the
balcony. The Jacuzzi is in the bathroom, and lots of windows,
all with views to die for.
If you wander around the hotel it is so easy to get lost in
what is almost a maze of medieval steps between one part of the
hotel and another. It will take all of ten minutes to realize
that this part of your vacation in France is as close to
perfection as you can get.
The Chateau Chevre d'Or is famed for its food, having a
legendary Chevre d'Or gourmet restaurant and if you can get a
package deal then this should include at least one meal here.
Otherwise breakfast is a delicious buffet at the terrace
restaurant called Les Ramparts where you can also have lunch. On
the other hand you could have a light lunch off the pool at Le
Café du Jardin. There is another and cheaper option to the
gourmet restaurant and that is at Le Grill, or of course you
could always end your romantic getaway weekend break with a meal
served on your balcony.
There is one thing for sure you will know that in the Chevre
d'Or you have made the best choice possible of a French Riviera
Hotel, and you won't want to leave.

Watching The Antique Road Show and other programs that appraise
collectibles often gives people the idea that they might have
something valuable hidden away in their attic or basement.
Others simply want to purchase a specific antique or one with
potential for an antique in the future. But what exactly is a
good investment when buying a collectible? Costs are
intimidating, but the uncertainty of the investment's worth is
even scarier. It's so easy to be taken in by an object that
looks like the real thing, but unless you know what to look for,
you could end up wasting your money. Not every antique dealer is
as honest as we'd like them to be. Some just want to make a sale
on an easy mark you. Knowing some basic guidelines can help
you make wise purchases and investments in objects with the
potential you're looking for.
Know the Basics
Valuable collectibles generally include a few categories art,
fine wines, dolls, rare books, and pop culture memorabilia. When
making an investment, look for items in these categories if you
plan on selling it for a profit in the future. One-of-a-kind
items, such as an original painting or a first edition of a
classic piece of literature are sure to appreciate in value.
Other things, like an Elvis album or a Rolling Stones t-shirt
might be less certain. Consider the market and how many of these
items are in circulation before getting too excited.
Find Something You Love
Start collecting with items you enjoy. You'll have more fun and
you'll likely find better deals. For instance, if you love 19th
Century authors, you will be more inclined to read about their
works and educate yourself as to their value. You'll enjoy going
to the trade shows and conventions for your particular
collectible and meet other like-minded people with the same
passion as you for a particular item.
Don't Buy Without Knowing
Before buying any collectible, be sure you have a complete
understanding of how to assess its value. Familiarize yourself
with the different release dates, characteristic markings or
abnormalities in the product before spending your money on it.
Study it closely and do your homework to get the most for your
money.
Garage Sales are Your Friend
If you enjoy gathering collectibles, garage sales, barn sales,
and estate sales are full of opportunities for the serious
collector. Most people just want to get rid of stuff that they
consider "junk" without bothering to find out if it could be
valuable. Lucky for you, these overlooked items are available at
a fraction of the cost. Swap meets and flea markets also have a
large number of potentially valuable items at bargain rates if
you know what to look for!
Buying and selling collectibles is a fun way to supplement your
income, in fact, many people make a living by doing this. The
secret is knowing as much as you can about the things you
collect. Be thorough in your inspections and try to find items
that will only appreciate over the years.

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
There are so many different cars around these days, and the
general public only really knows about half of them. Everyone
knows about the regular car companies. People know all about
these car makers and they also know about the standards they can
expect from these companies. There are also other car companies
that most people know about, but only a half of the population
would ever have the finances to own one of their cars. The
general public only knows the name of these cars, and not much
about what makes them a quality vehicle.
After those two groups of cars, there is another group that
most of the population would never be able to afford, and most
people also do not know a lot about these cars. In fact, some
people may not even know that some of these cars even exist. The
cars I'm talking about are more than luxury cars, more than
sports cars, and more money than four or five "regular" cars put
together! Here are the top ten most expensive cars in the world:
Bugatti Veyron - With a price tag of $1,700,000, there aren't
too many people who you will see driving this vehicle around
town. With "1001" horsepower, this car has a 16.4 engine and it
can get up to a speed of 400 kilometers per hour. This car was
built by a subsidiary of Volkswagon in France, and it took years
to perfect.
Ferrari Enzo - This sports car costs 1,000,000, and is also
known as the Enzo Ferrari or the F60. It was built with Formula
One Technology in 2003. This car and its brand name basically
speaks for itself in the racing world.
Pagani Zonda C12 F - Weighing in at $741,000, this car is still
too expensive for the average person to own, and probably the
above average person as well! It sports a 7.3 V12 engine that
has been passed down by its predecessors.
Koenigsegg CCX - This sports car will cost you $600,910 to buy,
and it is worth every penny. The Competition Coupe X (CCX)
commemorates the anniversary of the completion and first test
drive of the first CC car in 1996. It has a 32 valve V-8 engine
that was based on the Ford Modular engine design.
Porsche Carrera GT - This car has a price tag of $484,000.
Labeled as a super car, this German made sports car has a 5.7
liter, V10 engine. It also boasts a 612 SAE horsepower.
Mercedes SLR McLaren - Weighing in at a price of $455,00, this
car is still too expensive to drive around town. The "SLR" in
its name stands for "Sportlich, Leicht, Rennsport", which is
German for "Sport; Light; Racing". This car has a 5.5, V8
engine.
Maybach 62 - This car will cost a more affordable $385,250.
This is also the first of the above listed vehicles that is not
a sports car. The Maybach 62 is known as an ultra-luxurious car,
and was designed with a hired driver in mind.
Rolls-Royce Phantom - This luxury car costs $320,00, and it is
one of he most well known brand names of the luxury car
business. The Phantom was made in 2003, and it was the first to
be made under the BMW name.
Lamborghini Murcielago - This sports car costs $279,900 to buy,
and is a lot more affordable than the above sports vehicles!
This car will definitely turn heads and has a 6.5 liter engine.
Aston Martin Vanquish - This super car will cost you $255,000
to buy, and it was featured as the official James Bond car in
one of his films. This sports car has a 5.5 liter V12 engine.
What makes these cars so expensive? A combination of things
contributes to the price tags of these vehicles. One part is the
years of work that went into designing and making them. Another
part would be the brand name of each car. Add to that the power
of the engines, and the style of the cars, and you have the
reason for the expensive price tags.

Did Black Leaders Need The PEW Report?
This weekend, I took time to read all the community
newspapers. I wept. I wept because I realized when it came
to reading the clock on the wall that tells us what time it
is for Blacksvisualizing the calendar date for the demise
of Blacksmost of our leaders are ignorant. What happened
to us? Many of our forefathers could not read or writeyet
they knew what time it was for Black folk! Marcus Garvey
and W.E.B. Dubois didn't need a Pew report on public
opinion research to understand the condition of Black folk.
When will we establish our own agenda, versus merely
reacting to the agenda that others establish for us? We
have more ignorance per square inch than I have ever
witnessed in my lifetime. Let's talk about that ignorance.
As I travel across America, I see construction of houses
and high-rise buildings going up everywhere. Most major
cities are doing a major makeover. Much money is to be made
on these construction sitesbut who's making the money? The
construction business is booming, and pipe fitters,
plumbers, welders, glassmakers, different types of
engineers, painters, etc., are needed. At a conference
recently, a spokeswoman from Hewlett Packard stated that
America has a shortage of engineering students and in order
to keep up with their demand, they will have to employ
people from other countries to come here and outsource much
of their business to other countries.
The caregivers industry is another growing field. The
elderly are a steadily growing segment of our population
and have many needs. Group homes & foster care are very
much needed, particularly for African Americans. Who
benefits from their care? There is also an increased rate
of Black women with children who are now being incarcerated
due to drug use, selling drugs and a system that benefits
by taking children from the home, even for nonsensical
reasons, making it impossible for poor people to get their
children back. These children are just warehoused until
they are 18, and then let looseand many are illiterate.
They are now ready for the next moneymaking warehousethe
prison industrial complex. When released from jail, they
enter another warehousethe halfway house. Contrary to
opinion that Blacks are a liability, Blacks are good for
the economy and crime does pay. Blacks are very much a part
of the Gross National Product and are crucial to the prison
stock market.
It does not take a Ph.D. to see where we are and what we
need to be doing regarding business, trades, and
professions. Let me make a few more observations before I
address some articles from the newspapers. Dr. Claud
Anderson, the CEO of the Harvest Institute and author of
PowerNomics: A National Plan to Empower Black America and
Black Labor, White Wealth, addresses the four things that
people can do to provide for their basic needs:
1) work a job,
2) own their business,
3) receive welfare checks, and
4) engage in illegal/criminal activity.
Let's look at the unemployment facts according to the
Harvest Institute newsletter. Dr. Anderson said that the
hidden national Black unemployment rate is 35%. In cities
like Baltimore, Detroit, and Pittsburgh, Black unemployment
is well over 45%. In New York, unemployment for Black men
tops 51%, and the national youth unemployment figure is
nearly 80%.
I want you to visit my Web site: www.911forblackamerica.com
and click on "What Blacks Need to Know!" You will see a
2005 report on the state of Black Los Angeles that provides
index comparisons in many different areas for Blacks,
Whites, Latinos, and Asians. These indexes include
employment, business ownership, economics, crime, etc. Our
political leaders were instrumental in having this research
prepared. Now that we have this information, where is the
plan to attack the disparities and inequities?
You will see after reading this report that Blacks rank
lower in median income per household, business ownership,
and employment. Because Blacks own fewer businesses, they
have more unemployment and yield low or no incomewhich
leads to illegal/criminal activities and incarceration. We
have gathered enough information about ourselves to begin
the process of changing our dismal condition.
Back to the newspaper articles. One article is entitled
"We've Got to Save Our Black Males at Black Colleges," by
Tom Joyner. I appreciate the contributions that Joyner
makes in helping Black males pursue a college degree.
However, I would like to see someone with the means to open
a Vocational Training Academy for Black youth and Black
young men and women. College is not the only road to
success.
Another article is called "Black Pessimism Means Economic
Empowerment Is More Important Than Ever," by Marc H.
Marial, president and CEO, National Urban League. I think
what's missing here is the understanding that during the
'60s, whenever the word minority was mentioned, it referred
to Blacks, but today, it references everybody except the
White man. In the '60s, Black and White issues and
comparisons were made between those two races only.
However, today, rather than two people sharing the pie,
it's more like five people sharing the pieand the slices
are smaller. It's like our leaders are missing pieces of
the puzzle from the struggles of 1956 until now. The
article concluded that economic empowerment means better
jobs, better jobs mean stronger communities, and stronger
communities mean better schools and safer streets that
attract more investments, which refuel the cycle of
economic empowerment.
I guess it's going to take an Act of Congress to force
Black leaders and educators to make business ownership a
priority on their list, given the multicultural mix with
the "my-own-first" cultural pride attitude. Our future is
dependent upon us having our own as well.
I will leave for your consideration a quote from Dr. Claud
Anderson. "Since the end of slavery, Blacks have always
looked to education as the way to a better life. Moreover,
in terms of newly created jobs, Hispanics alone filled over
41% of the newly created jobs since May 2005. Is education
the key factor in immigrants getting jobs?"
What does this mean for young Black people? If jobs are
disappearing forever, and unemployment is already as high
as 51% for Black men in New York, how should responsible
adults guide the young people?
Let's rise up, face the hard cold facts as reality for
Black Americans, and begin a journey to self-determination.
I've often stated that "When a field is mined by an
ignorant overseer, the crops spoil." We need healthy crops
that will bring forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some
sixtyfold, some thirtyfold!

Taking out commercial finance can be complicated and expensive
depending on whom you go with for the loan. There are also
factors to take into consideration such as the technical jargon
that is regularly associated with finance and hidden costs which
could give a nasty surprise. If you want the best start in your
new venture then getting help is essential. Going with a
specialist website can save you time and a great deal of stress
and money.
A specialist website will be able to search the UK commercial
loan marketplace for the best deal for your circumstances. Often
they are able to get the lowest rates of interest though
negotiation with lenders who specialise in the type of loan you
are looking for. A specialist will also be able to get you
finance in the shortest time possible because lenders will go
all out to deal quickly with a broker.
You will you get the right type of commercial finance by going
with a specialist and it is important to remember that a
commercial mortgage is not like a residential one. There are
many different factors that are taken into account when wanting
finance for commercial reasons. The lender will take all these
factors into account and this is what will determine how much
you pay.
The individual's different circumstances will mean that, unlike
a residential mortgage, the rate of interest you will pay will
be based on what you are going to do with the money you borrow
and an assessment of the property in question relating to the
loan. After these factors and others have been taken into
account the rate will be set out. As with any loan the amount of
interest you pay will be a percentage above the base rate. In
the majority of cases this can be between 1.5% and 2.5%/
Usually when taking out commercial finance you are able to take
out a loan from one year onwards. Of course the duration of the
loan will have to be based on many different factors. Factors
that will have to be taken into account are the size of the
undertaking and the nature of it. The majority of loans taken
this way will be limited to interest only borrowing unlike the
choices for residential mortgages.
When getting things off the ground, then a specialist in
commercial borrowing will go through your proposal with you
which can save an enormous amount of time. This can be of
particular benefit when it comes to getting the property
appraised for the loan. They will also be able to help and give
advice when it comes down to loan to project costs. This can
often be confusing so advice is essential, the rate for
perceived gross total development values vary with each project.
While they do vary typically rates fall are 70% to 75% of the
purchase prices and build costs.
The majority of brokers will work alongside you from start to
finish of the project and although there will be brokers costs
to pay you can still save. It is thought that around 80% of
those who borrow commercially do so with the high street lender,
yet they could be saving a lot of money with a specialist. While
the majority of people do not like to admit they need help then
it comes to something as costly and important as commercial
finance getting as much advice and saving as much as possible is
essential.

Your life insurance premiums should be shopped around for in
the same way as you would when looking to buy anything else.
However there is a much easier way when it comes to getting
several quotes than looking yourself. You can go online and find
a specialist broker who will then do the legwork on your behalf
to find you quotes which you can then use to compare life
insurance.
The majority of those who fail to shop around for the cheapest
cover do so because of the time it takes to do so. However a
broker will find and deliver quotes to your inbox and will also
give you the facts needed to make comparison easier. It is
important to compare the small print along with the premiums
because this is where you can find the additional costs that can
be added onto a policy. It will also make you aware of what is
and is not included in a policy and these conditions too can
vary between policies.
Life insurance is taken out by those who wish to leave their
loved ones with security during what is a very stressful time.
If the policy holder should die within the term of the life
insurance cover then those left behind would get a lump sum
payment that could be sued to pay off the mortgage or other
debts or simply to keep them financially comfortable.
Before going to a broker to compare life insurance you will
have to work out how much cover you would need. While you do not
want to be under insured you also do not want to take out more
cover than is needed. The amount of cover you ask for will set
the premiums among other factors.
The premiums will also be based on your age at the time of
applying for the policy and your lifestyle. It is imperative
that you are absolutely honest when it comes to this. Those who
live a healthy lifestyle will have access to the cheapest
premiums while those who smoke and drink will be expected to pay
more. Not giving the truth when applying for cover will lead to
the insurance company rejecting a claim on the policy as they
are certain to find out.
When it comes to a rough idea of how much cover to take you
should multiply your annual income by around fivr. This will
ensure your loved ones have the means needed to keep up with
essential outgoings for a time. You also have to take into
account the rate of inflation and such things as any dependent
children. A broker can help you to compare life insurance, but
it is down to the individual at the end of the day to read the
terms and conditions. Comparing these is just as important. You
should also take full advantage of the help and advice that can
be found on a broker's website. These will come in the form of
articles and FAQs which can be very valuable with regard to
finding how to get the cheapest cover.

Article Title: Poor Credit Secured Loans Could Be Your Option
To Getting Credit

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
If you have a bad credit rating through having financial
problems in the past then trying to get a loan could seem like
an impossible task. One option that is available to people in
this situation is to look for the cheapest poor credit secured
loans and looking online with a specialist secured loans website
and allowing them to shop around on your behalf for a quote is
the best option.
A specialist website will be able to search the internet with
the majority of the UKs top lenders to find you the best deal on
a secured bad credit loan and as they have access to the bulk of
the marketplace you can be sure that you will not find a better
quote.
Specialist loans brokers also have the advantage of knowing
whose lending criteria your own particular circumstances best
match, meaning you will not waste time applying for loans that
you will not be accepted for.
While you will not have access to some of the cheapest interest
rates around because of your bad credit rating this doesn't mean
that you cannot make savings. Just as with any type of loan, the
cost of bad credit loans do vary and so taking advantage of your
broker's specialism is the best way to find the right deal. Bad
credit loans always attract a higher rate of interest because
you are seen as a bigger risk to the lenders, however not being
able to get a loan isn't always down to having a bad credit
rating. If you have not got an established credit rating such as
if you are just out of college, then it can be just as hard to
get accepted. If this is the problem then poor credit secured
loans can help you get a credit rating.
It is essential when applying for poor credit secured loans
that you understand you will have to put up something
substantial as a deposit on the loan, this is usually your home
and as such if you should falter on the loan then you are at
risk of having your home repossessed. Before taking on any loan
you have to know that you can repay the borrowing over the
number of years you have taken it out and be aware that during
this time your circumstances could change financially.
Before going with a specialist website to let them search on
your behalf you first have to decide how long you want to take
out the loan for, a secured loan can usually be taken out for
many years and you are allowed to borrow a larger sum of money,
but you do have to remember that while extending the loan will
keep the repayments down you will pay more interest in the long
run.
Poor credit secured loans could be your only option but it is
essential that you make the right choice and can safely say that
the reason for taking out the loan is worth the risk of putting
the roof over your head at risk. Always make sure that you read
the small print of any loan you are considering before signing
the document, as this is where any additional costs attached to
the loan can be found along with the total repayments and
interest.

In today's modern lifestyle, the desire to obtain low cost car
insurance is not always a financial one but often in response to
the car insurance market being more open and competitive, with
insurance providers competing for our custom. The need for an
independent specialist website providing easy access to this
marketplace could not be more welcomed. To simply enter the
details for you and your car, just the once and obtain the
results in minutes, saves so much time and effort, and it is
free!
The resulting quotes for low cost car insurance can then be
arranged in a style that is easiest for you to understand and
compare, it can also be saved and accessed later. It is easy to
use and allows individual details to be altered, making it an
indispensable tool for seeking low cost car insurance.
It is important to decide what level of cover is required,
often low cost car insurance is very basic, so it is essential
to compare the policy contents carefully to ensure that you
obtain best value for as little money as possible.
The type of cover should be examined if your car is old or of a
make and model with which the value depreciates quickly. There
is a great price difference between fully comprehensive and
third party, fire and theft policies. However, if your car is
twenty-five years old or over, then it could be classed as a
classic and there are a number of car insurers that specialise
in classic car insurance, all of which are accessible using this
specialist website.
Cutting down on the number of optional extras can reduce the
price when looking for low cost car insurance, for example: the
removal of a free courtesy car whilst your car is being repair
at a garage after an accident and removing the free repair of
the windscreen if damaged. Further reductions can be obtained by
increasing the excess amount you are prepared to pay should you
make a claim, by increasing from £50.00 to £500.00 can make a
considerable reduction to the premium, often by about 20%.
Further reductions in price can be obtained by being the only
driver on the policy and restricting the number of miles driven
annually. Driving within the UK only also yields cheaper car
insurance. The method of payment you chose often affects the
price also. It is cheaper to pay an insurance premium annually
rather than monthly, as there is frequently a surcharge for
making payments by instalments. This specialist website allows
you to compare easily the low cost car insurance quotations to
find which can offer the best price for the payment method of
your choice. It is straightforward to notice which car insurer
charges a fee if you pay by credit card rather than debit card.
However, you can be assured that any payment made on-line using
this specialist website will be secure.
By using this specialist website, offering an extensive range
of trusted insurance companies from the marketplace, the chore
of finding low cost car insurance has been removed. The
impartial information supplied will help the user easily and
efficiently obtain the best deal. Then, when a decision is made,
you can just purchase the chosen car insurance policy without
having to re-enter any of the details, safe in the knowledge
that the information provided has allowed you to make an
informed decision when choosing low cost car insurance.

You have always loved the idea of visiting a faraway place and
seeing exotic sights. You also have an interest in photography,
so you think that your next vacation should be a South African
safari tour. However, there are several things that you will
need to plan first before you embark on your South African
safari tour.
About South African Safari Tours
The first thing that you should consider is what South African
safari tour you should go on. There are a variety of South
African safari tours you can choose from. However, the two
things that you need to consider the most are the price, and
safety.
When it comes to the price, you will notice that the prices of
South African safari tours tend to vary widely. This is because
some are run by locals, while others are run by companies. Do
not choose a tour simply because you think that the cheaper
price is more reasonable. Sometimes the better tour is indeed
more expensive.
Instead, do some research on the tour that you are thinking of
taking. If it is reputable, a travel agency or an internet
travel site should easily recognize it. Be sure that you gather
reviews of the tour as well, so that you have a better idea of
how reliable it is.
When it comes to safety, that is the most important thing to
consider. Be sure that the tour you choose is led by a certified
guide. Also, be sure that the tour is one that does not take you
into areas that could be dangerous. There is an element of risk
to any South African safari tour, but you should be sure that
everyone is well-insured.
Another thing that you should consider is your own health, For
example, if you have arthritis or a heart problem check with
your doctor before you go on your tour. Also, there are some
diseases that can be gotten, such as malaria. This is especially
true since you will be out in the wild. Thus, be sure that you
get the appropriate inoculations.
The next thing that you will need to consider is your camera
equipment. Since you are taking this safari in order to take
pictures, you should be sure that your camera is one that can
withstand rough conditions.
For more information on South African safari tours, purchase a
travel magazine that has to do with that topic. You should be
able to find a variety of different contacts that can help you
find the right tour.

Arthritis Explained

Arthritis Explained
Arthritis can be grouped into two main categories based
upon the "localized" or "generalized" areas of the body or
joints that are affected and then into sub-categories.
Localized Conditions: The arthritis that affects the soft
tissue surrounding the joints or bones is considered soft
tissue localized conditions, such as bursitis or
tendonitis. Another sub-category of the localized
conditions only affects one or only a few joints, such as a
knee or hip.
Generalized Conditions: The first sub-category for
generalized conditions are for those that affect the muscle
and soft tissue where there is no evidence of swelling or
inflammation. The condition is not associated with joint
damage. Fibromyalgia is a common type of arthritis that is
placed under this category.
The second sub-category of conditions includes arthritis
conditions that involve inflammation that affects the
entire body. Rheumatoid arthritis is an example of a
condition under this category, as well as gout, and
psoriatic arthritis. Other generalized arthritis conditions
are polymyositis (muscles); systemic lupus erythematosus
(skin, kidneys, or other organs); and vasculitis (any
organ).
All arthritis conditions affect the musculoskeletal system
and joints. Arthritis affecting the joint conditions causes
pain, stiffness, inflammation, and damage to the joint
cartilage. Cartilage is the tissue that covers the ends of
the bones that protect them as they rub together. Cartilage
is living tissue. Therefore, it has the same needs as other
organs and glands. Cartilage cells are called chondrocytes.
All chondrocytes will die and are usually replaced by new
cartilage cells. However, over time inflammation can kill
more cartilage cells than the body can replace. This is
especially true if there has been an injury or there is not
enough proper nutrients in the body to repair the joint.
Damage from arthritis can also cause joint weakness,
instability and deformities and interrupt daily activities.
Typically, arthritis is treated with medication, physical
therapy, and changes to the person's lifestyle. Joint
replacement surgery is a last resort after healthcare
providers have tried other less intrusive interventions to
relieve the discomfort.
A person can have more than one type of arthritis.
Arthritis includes more than 100 medical conditions that
affect approximately 46 million adults and 300,000 children
in the United States. Arthritis can start as early as
infancy, while it is most common among adults over 60,
primarily in the form of osteoarthritis. As the American
population ages, the number of people with arthritis is
increasing. Arthritis and related illnesses are the cause
of major disability in the U.S. and costs over $124 billion
a year in medical care and indirect expenses. Individuals
can help prevent osteoarthritis by following a few simple
steps:
-Maintain appropriate weight
-Consume fresh fruits and vegetables as a good
source of vitamins c and d
-Make sure you are getting enough calcium (adults:
1000-1500mg per day)
-Exercise
-Avoid sports injuries

================== ARTICLE START ============ ======
Not so many moons ago I wrote an article entitled "How To Have
The Perfect Barbecue" in which I lambasted most of my friends
for burning food on the BBQ and shared my essential tips for
ensuring a perfect barbecue every time. An alternative way to
put it is "How to BBQ without flames" because the secret to
charcoal cooking (and indeed gas barbecuing) is sizzle and not
flames.
The fat in the food is mobilised in the heat, drips onto the
charcoal which creates the smoke to flavour the food. What we
want is to hear the sizzle but no flames because flames will
char the outside of the food leaving us at best eating something
semi raw and at worst in bed with food poisoning. Easy huh?
Well it is quite easy if you've got a barbecue grill with
adjustable rack height but if you're the true outdoor type
travelling light you may well have a disposable charcoal
barbecue tray. If you're not familiar with the disposable
barbecue grill it's essentially an aluminum foil tray filled
with lump wood charcoal and a light mesh cover. On top of the
charcoal is a fuel impregnated mat which once lit is all that's
needed to get the grill going making them ideal when travelling
light or for cooking whilst on a picnic. One thing is clear
though and that is there's no adjustment to the height of the
grill and this means being careful not to burn the food, more on
that in a minute.
The main advantages to this piece of equipment is that it's
light and portable, it's really quick to get going and also
really cheap so for a few dollars more you can really add a new
dimension to you picnic. Having recommended trying one of these
trays I think it's also important to point out the downsides of
cooking on them so here are my essential tips for cooking on a
disposable barbecue grill:-
1.Sometimes the lighting mat can fail so if satisfying your
hunger is totally dependent on cooking then remember to take a
firelighter as back up and don't forget the matches!
2.Choice of food to cook is really important because there's
not much flexibility with the heat and it doesn't last forever.
Because of the lack of flexibility, avoid fatty foods such as
sausages because these will simply spray fat onto the coals and
cause flare ups. As I've already said, the flames will burn food
but it's not just that, flames are wasted energy and your
charcoal won't last as long. Try fish and steaks and other lean
cuts of meat.
3.It's not an expensive piece of kit so don't expect an enamel
grill. The best tip I can give is to brush the grill with oil
before putting any food on it and this will prevent it from
sticking especially if cooking fish.
One final point; It is as it says, "disposable" so if you've
just finished your cookout, please look after your environment
and dispose of the wreckage responsibly.

When it comes to Candida, this little yeast gets around. What
few people realize is that Candida is the common culprit behind
most yeast infections that affect human skin. This fungus makes
it home on almost every surface of the human body. Most of the
time it lives there harmlessly though occasionally a Candida
rash reminds us of its presence.
There are several different types of yeast infections that are
caused by Candida. Among them are the following: thrush, Candida
diaper rash, Candidal body rash, Candidal vulvovaginitis, and
Systemic Candidiasis, which can be fatal in as many as 75% of
those affected by it. In other words, Candida symptoms and
illnesses can prove quite lethal if not properly diagnosed and
cared for. One thing that is essential however is receiving the
proper diagnosis for your symptoms and then using the Candida
remedies that are recommended.
The good news is that in most cases the symptoms of Candida,
while uncomfortable are not fatal. Those that are fatal tend to
be more serious conditions involving Candida and also involve a
weakened immune system so that the body doesn't properly respond
to the threat or is overwhelmed by the threat before it has the
opportunity to respond.
You will find that Candida symptoms vary greatly from one
condition to the next and are often greatly impacted by the area
of the body in which the infection occurs. Symptoms of a vaginal
yeast infection often include a white discharge. Other symptoms
include itching and irritation in and around the vagina. Painful
intercourse and burning while urinating are other symptoms of
Candida yeast infections that are not uncommon.
Symptoms of thrush include white patches on the tongue, the
roof of the mouth, or other locations inside the mouth. Thrush,
particularly in babies can become a serious condition as it
makes eating painful and dehydration in little ones can happen
so quickly. If you suspect thrush, contact a medical
professional immediately for diagnosis and proper treatment.
Diaper Candida rash is a fairly common ailment affecting little
ones that wear diapers. This is generally treated with over the
counter Candida remedies such as ketoconazole, nystatin, or
econazole. You will want to check the mouth for signs of thrush
as these conditions often happen in conjunction with one
another. It is always best to get a final answer from a doctor
whenever you suspect a Candida yeast infection before beginning
your own treatment protocols, especially when there is a baby or
small child involved though it is always the recommended course
of action.
If you have a rash that you suspect is the result of a Candida
yeast infection it is a good idea to consult a doctor before
beginning your own treatment. That being said your doctor may
prescribe one of many pharmaceutical treatments that include
drugs like Nystatin and Diflucan. Ultimately prevention is the
best cure and eating a healthy diet that introduces little yeast
(no breads, cakes, muffins, cheese, etc.) and little fuel that
encourages yeast growth such as simple sugars is a great place
to begin the war against Candida yeast infections in your life.

People who have poor credit history can still get a loan,
despite what they may think. In fact, there are more options
today than ever before. There are many companies all over the
country that are specializing in poor credit loans. The good
thing about these companies that are offering poor credit loans
is that they understand the state of your finances and will
subject you to the embarrassment of answering questions about
your credit history. In most cases, these companies that are
offering poor credit loans will not even ask you questions
regarding your credit history at all. This means that if you
want to buy a car, through a loan from these companies that are
offering poor credit loans, you can bring home the car almost
immediately.
What is the catch?
Companies that are offering poor credit loans assume a great
deal of risk. They know that you have not been really good at
paying your debts in the past and they understand that based on
your poor credit history; there is a big possibility that you
will also default in your loan payments with them. Given these
circumstances, the companies that are offering poor credit loans
have to protect themselves that is why the loans that they are
offering have higher interest rates as compared to the regular
loans. In most cases, the terms and conditions of the loan is
also a bit stiffer as compared to the terms and conditions of
regular loans. However, since you will probably not be able to
get a regular car loan in most banks and financial institutions,
going for poor credits loans is a better option.
Choosing the Right Financial Institution
There are a number of companies that are offering poor credit
loans all over the country. To help you choose the right
financial company, it would be best for you to shop around
first. You can go online and take a look at the websites of
financial companies that are offering poor credit loans. You may
also give these financial institutions a call and ask for
information about their loans programs. If you can find an
office of this company in your locality, you can visit their
office and talk to the loans officer personally. The good thing
about talking to the loans officer personally is that you can
easily ask questions regarding their programs.
Once you have all the information that you need, start
comparing the loans programs of the different financial
companies. Pay close attention to the interest rates and the
terms and conditions of the loans. Always go for those companies
that do not have very onerous terms and conditions attached to
their loans. Note that onerous terms and conditions will make it
difficult for you to pay your loans in the future.
Choose a company which has an office near you. Always remember
that it is better to deal with a company in your locality. Note
that there may be times when you need to see the loans officer
for debt restructuring and other matters.

The word `perfume` is derived from the Latin `per fume` which
means through smoke.
Perfume making began in ancient Egypt; later, it was improved
by the Romans and the Arabs. The process of distilling oils from
flowers was discovered by an Iranian doctor, and this is the
process still used in perfume making today.
Modern perfume was first made in 1370 in Hungary, by blending
scented oils in an alcoholic solution, and was known all over
Europe as Hungary water. Perfume making continued to be
developed in Italy during the Renaissance, and in France from
the 16th century onwards. Growing of flowers for perfume making
became an important industry in southern France; and France is
still the center of perfume making in Europe.
The designer houses famous for their perfumes keep their
formulas of the fragrances a closely guarded secret. But there
are perfume experts who can identify the origins and components
of the scents much like wine testers.
Perfumes are classified by their scent and concentration
levels. The oils used in making perfume are diluted by ethanol
and water, because the undiluted oils can cause damage to the
skin or to clothing, or can cause allergic reactions.
Accordingly, there are Pure perfume, Eau De Parfum, Eau De
Toilette and Eau De Cologne, with Pure perfume containing the
largest percentage of aromatic oils, and Eau De Cologne the
smallest amount.
The fragrance designer houses use different levels of
concentration for the same category of perfume; for instance,
the Eau De Parfum belonging to one house, may be much stronger
than one from another house. There are also three different
perfume classifications according to scents; the traditional
scents were created in the early 1900`s; the modern scents date
from 1945; the Fragrance wheel was created in 1983, there being
five standard fragrance categories: the Fougere family, Floral,
Woody, Oriental and Fresh.
Perfumes are also known by their top, middle and base notes,
which unfold gradually; the top notes can be sensed immediately,
next, the deeper middle notes, and the base notes appear
gradually in the last stage. There is an evaporation process in
perfumes, and this knowledge is used in carefully choosing the
notes. Top notes are important in selling the perfume as they
can be perceived immediately; the middle and the base notes make
up the perfume`s main theme.
The aromatic oils used in perfume making are obtained from
various sources. Barks of cinnamon, sassafras and cascarilla are
used. Flowers are the largest source; rose, osmanthus, jasmine,
tuberose, mimosa and blossom of citrus trees are widely used.
Odors from fresh fruits like cherries, strawberries and apples
cannot be extracted well and synthetic substances are used. The
exceptions are vanilla, juniper and oranges, grapefruit and
limes. Among leaves and twigs, lavender, patchouli, rosemary,
violets, sage and citrus leaves are used. Resins are obtained
from frankincense, labdanum, myrrh, gum benzoin, Peru balsam,
fir and pine.
Roots, Ambergris, woods, honeycomb, musk (synthetic), lichens,
civets, seaweed are some of the other sources of aromas.
Organic synthetics are created from petroleum and pine resins
for scents which cannot be obtained from nature. There are
really hundreds of ingredients that are contained in perfume
oils. The modern fragrance houses have developed their own
fragrance oils, which are blended with ethyl alcohol and water
for fourteen days; these are then filtered and unwanted
particles removed; they are then filled into beautiful perfume
bottles.
These days, we find well known celebrities signing contracts
with perfume houses to lend their names for promoting famous
perfumes. Some of the most popular ones are David Beckham for
Instinct, Antonio Banderas for Spirit, Elizabeth Taylor for
White Diamonds, Passion, Forever Elizabeth, and many more.

A basic retirement calculator is a program that you can find
for free on the Internet. This calculator will take your current
retirement savings information, let you factor in things that
will affect the final number and then tell you how much more you
will need to save to be able to retire at the level that you
want to retire at. Many people have difficulties understanding
what a basic retirement calculator is telling them and they do
not understand the numbers its spews out back at them. In a
nutshell, a basic retirement calculator is nothing more than at
guessing machine that takes your current conditions, puts in a
giant guess for future trends based on current conditions and
then it tells you that there is no way you will be able to
retire.
The challenge is that a basic retirement calculator works in
today's dollars. As an example, let's say you want to retire
twenty years from today. And you want to know how much you'll
have to save to have the equivalent of $4000 per month in twenty
years from now. The basic retirement calculator will even go so
far as to tell you how much per month that $4000 in 2008 needs
to be to give you an equivalent lifestyle in 2028. Basically
this whole thing it is just a huge guessing game and just
another tool for the financial adviser to use to scare you into
giving them as much as your disposable income as possible and
then some. In some ways, if you look at history and the facts,
you may want to keep some of your own money and live for today.
No One Knows How Money will Change
Going back in history, there were major stock market crashes
that affected millions of people in the 1920's, the 1970's, the
1980's and the 2000's. During those market crashes, millions of
people lost their entire life savings. The big .com crash back
in the early 2000 affected many people who were trying to "save
for their retirement." To put things in perspective, a new car
back in the 1940s cost between $600 to $700 on average. Today,
sixty years later, that price has risen over 2700%, to over
$16,000 for a new car. So when you factor in inflation, between
4% to 5% annually would tend to be on the low side. Between 1979
and 2000, the average Americans salary only one up by 11.5 cents
per hour per year. The basic retirement calculator does not
factor those numbers.
When it comes to retirement, many people avoid reality. But the
facts are that it cannot be avoided. Probably one of the best
ways to save for your retirement is to invest in things that
grow in value over time and avoid things like the stock market.
If you by real estate in your 20s or 30s, chances are that by
the time you're in your 60s, the appreciated value will provide
you with a nice retirement. You will have both equity as well as
rental income.

Anti-aging Naturally is Better
When it comes to anti-aging people are willing to do most
anything to "turn back the clock". Everything except the
easiest solution ' Prevention! We all know, mostly do to
media hype, that the sun can cause us to age more rapidly.
Because of this knowledge, people have begun to be using
more and more sun block as their anti-aging tool.
Did you know that part of the anti-aging fight could start
with the foods you put in your body everyday? One of the
best anti-aging tools we can find is food with antioxidants.
Foods that contain Vitamins C and E should be part of your
daily food intake as well. Vitamins C and E are important
because they help fight free radicals, which are forms of
unstable oxygen that can render or damage healthy cell
function. These forms of oxygen are formed naturally by the
metabolism. We also produce them when we are exposed to
strong ultraviolet rays and air pollution such as smoke.
When these "free radicals" build up in our body they aid in
the progression of age and even in developing age related
diseases. So in the fight on anti-aging you will definitely
want to take in Vitamins C and E daily. But these aren't
the only nutrients you will want to take in daily for
anti-aging. You will need protein, calcium, and Vitamin D.
Making sure you get these much needed nutrients on a
regular if not daily basis can help with anti-aging.
There are several foods that rank high on the recommended
list for anti-aging foods because of their natural ability
to rid the body of toxins. One that kept coming up while
researching this topic was Blueberries. Several other foods
were listed even many other berries. But blueberries always
seemed to top the list of anti-aging foods, because they
are naturally high in anthocyanin. This is an antioxidant
found in their blue pigment.
This is not only good for anti-aging, but it help fight
cell damage, which could cause cancer, heart disease and
many other age related diseases. It is even suggested that
blueberries could reverse short -term memory loss and aid
in the improvement of motor skills.
Although blueberries ranked high on the anti-aging food
chart several, other fruits were highly recommended as
well. Kiwis for example are loaded with antioxidants and
fiber. Apples were recommended for healthier lungs.
Tangerines are believed to reinforce healthy bones and
cherries aid in preventing gout.
All of this is very important to consider when trying
discovering a natural anti-aging regimen, because when your
body is unhealthy you look and feel bad. When you look and
feel bad and run down your body will age.
So, I guess the bottom line here is...good nutrition is the
best solution to anti-aging. Naturally that is!

If anyone were to tell you that there is some serious money to
be made in affiliate marketing, would you believe them? After
all, in order to see much of any affiliate revenue streaming in,
you will need to either diversify and more or less sell out your
web space to a plethora of other businesses, or sign up with a
high end retailer that might not get much repeat business, but
where a successful sale more than makes up for the time of
famine that goes in between successful transactions.
Yet Internet savvy home based business entrepreneurs have found
another niche that is profitable and even easy, no matter how
much competition they experience: the eBay affiliate program.
Anyone ready to work from home most likely will have already
stumbled across some mentions of this amazing deal but if thus
far you have failed to make the time and read up on it, prepare
yourself to be surprised when you find out that commission may
go as high as 65% on the revenue the company takes in!
Indeed any affiliate marketer knows that she or he will be hard
pressed to find another program that offers a similarly generous
remuneration scheme. When you work from home as an eBay
affiliate, you will experience the following revenue streams:
1. Earn revenue for any new eBay visitor you send to the site
and who will sign up for a basic user account. Bonuses range
from $10 to $20, but the catch is that the individual in
question must be a bona fide eBay newbie.
2. Earn revenue by referring potential eBay store owners to the
site and sign up to open their online store there. The minimum
bonus amount is $25 for each new eBay store you refer to the
site which never before held a store site there.
3. Those who are particularly industrious and have a knack for
building relationships with merchants will find that any month
where your total of signed up merchants meets or exceed 100, you
will receive an addition remuneration of $25 per merchant, thus
potentially upping your bonus from $25 to $50 per sign up!
At this point in time Commission Junction is the affiliate
program administrator and all sign ups can be made directly
through that company. Anyone who might still be hesitant to work
from home as an eBay affiliate will do well to remember that
eBay is an international phenomenon. You are not limited to just
signing up your neighborhood merchants or those with whom you
already have a working relationship, but you might actually do
the same over the Internet with any country on this planet that
has legal trade relations with the United States!
Since daily there are new users who enter the Internet for the
first time and who are ready for sign up, there is a very real
guarantee that you will never run out of clients, and this is
indeed a work from home opportunity that can continue
indefinitely. Who knows, you might even figure out a way to find
helpers in foreign countries who for a promise of payment
will be your eyes and ears in the local communities rather than
sign up with eBay directly! This is truly an entrepreneurial
opportunity well worth checking out.

Just What the Business Doctor Ordered business doctor, business
health check, regular business check, business shaping up.
Has your business had a recent health check? It is good to step
back at least once a year, examine how your business is
performing and look at ways of improving every aspect so that
you are ready for the future.
Competitors
What are your competitors up to? Have they expanded their
product offering? Have they changed their prices recently?
Have any new competitors appeared on the scene? What are their
strengths and weaknesses?
Are any of your competitors struggling? If so, are they a
possible take over target? It might even be possible to go into
partnership with them and benefit from the cost savings working
from single premises.
Space
Can you increase the effective use of your space? Often by
adding better shelving, it is possible to carry more stock.
If you have too much space then perhaps you could rent it out
or section it off so that you pay less rates. What about the car
park area? Do you still need so many parking places? How about
your offices? Can you utilise your office space better or reduce
it and have more space for stock?
Stock
Examine your inventory to find out how much dead stock you have
and get rid of it. What about slow moving stock? Can you
discount it or make it part of your next promotional campaign?
Margins
Are your margins still adequate? Is it possible to increase
margins by buying better or making savings by using latest
technology to manufacture your products?
Funding
Are your business loans at the lowest possible rate? Can you
amalgamate all your loans and get a better rate from one lending
institution? Is your bank giving you the best possible service?
Have branch closures meant that you have to travel a greater
distance than necessary to do normal day to day bank
transactions?
Staff
Are your employees working to maximum efficiency? Do they need
additional training to work better and faster?
Does the business justify employing new staff? If business is
not as good as it used to be can you let go of any dead wood?
Technology
It is often possible to enhance your competitiveness by using
the latest technology. Are you using the best software to manage
your business? Can your products be improved by using the latest
materials? Would better quality packaging enhance your products
and give them a longer shelf life?
A business is a leaving breathing entity. If your give it a
regular health check then you could benefit from improved
performance. Check how well your business is shaping up and if
needed do not be afraid to embrace change.
Yourself
The army knows that soldiers can march longer distances if they
are given regular breaks. When is the last time you had a break?
When is the last time you had a massage? Your business would be
lost without you, so take time out to pamper yourself and look
after your health. Ask your doctor or private health care
provider to give you a regular health check. You can not run a
business from the cemetery!

When you mention luxury holidays in Mauritius it conjures up
the exotic yet un-commercialized side of long haul travel to
exotic destinations. Where Mauritius benefits over the likes of
the more remote Seychelles or the Maldives, is that there is
actually an awful lot more to the island than just wandering
along desolate beaches.
The island is a paradise for honeymooners, and many discrete
weddings are arranged along the palm fringed islands beaches,
with the Indian Ocean gently lapping the golden sands in the
background. If you are looking for the top 5 romantic things to
do on holiday, why not book a trip to Mauritius with your loved
one what a great Valentines or birthday surprise!
Number one has to be walking along the golden beaches while the
sun sets. The hotels on the west of the island benefit from
stunning uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean. In the north,
the Royal Palm Hotel is a Small Leading Hotel of the World, and
certainly one of the most discerning hotels on the island. The
exquisite suites, all overlook the ocean, and have large
terraces and balconies. The beach itself is made of smooth pale
golden sand, and you are ensured privacy. Le Mauricia and Le
Canonnier are also in the north of the island, and offer all
inclusive accommodation which is excellent value. Le Canonnier
has a stunning location on the Point aux Canonnier, while Le
Mauricia overlooks the vibrant Grand Baie. In my opinion the
most romantic beach in Mauritius is at the idyllic Trou Aux
Biches Hotel, located between Grande Baie in the North, and Port
Louis. The sand is exquisite and the waves crash onto the coral
reef in the distance, leaving you free to amble along the beach
with the ocean gently lapping at your feet. The hotel is located
in the tropical gardens with rooms scattered in Mauritian
Village style accommodation leaving the big blocks of
accommodation to the other hotels.
Secondly a Romantic candle-lit dinner for two is a speciality
of Mauritius. La Ravanne Restaurant located between Paradis and
Dinarobin hotels in the south west of the island is a real
Mauritian treat, with your arrival from Paradis by boat, the
hotels are beautifully illuminated by candlelight and on arrival
you are greeted by a saga band dancing around a beach side fire.
For a `feet in the sand' dining experience, then a meal at
L'Espandon at Trou Aux Biches is a must, with fresh seafood
specialties. Your table is very relaxed with picnic style
benches with parasols to keep off the midday sun.
Thirdly why not enjoy an evening stroll around a beautifully
lit hotel? The Shandrani is located in the south east of the
island, and has a very spacious situation, with three beaches
surrounding tropical gardens, a golf course, bedrooms and
suites, a spa and a number of restaurants. Much of the hotel is
illuminated in candlelight and soft lighting in the evening,
inducing one of the most romantic atmospheres you will ever
encounter. No doubt during your stay you will have the special
treat when they decorate the hotel in the Hindu style with oil
lanterns around the fountains and swimming pools, their gentle
light reflecting and flickering in to the night sky.
Fourthly and nearly finally, spend the afternoon in one of the
amazing spas. Dinarobin has a Clarins spa (to be frank the
afternoon may not be enough!), with a gorgeous pool, with sun
loungers around it. You will see many a guest flaked out in
their luxurious towelling robes after their hard `work out' in
the sauna. You really should pre book some treatments, the range
is extensive with something for everyone. The relaxation is
simply a superb way to start off a holiday, and help you to
forget about life at home.
Finally why not sit quietly on your terrace or balcony enjoying
a sundowner drink as the sun sets in the evening. Each of the
rooms and suites in any of the Beachcomber hotels has its own
private terrace or balcony. The Royal Palm and Dinarobin hotels
only have spacious suites, and the balconies and terraces
provide extra space, comfort and privacy as you would expect
from 5 star luxury holidays in Mauritius. For the ultimate in
privacy book to have your dinner served on your balcony where a
butler will come and serve your carefully selected meal, wine
and discreetly slip away allowing you to simply enjoy each
other's company in one of the most romantic places in the world.

According to some reports, 90 percent of soldiers returning
from Iraq who seek medical treatment do so for Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an
emotional and psychological reaction to trauma in which a person
experiences uncontrollable, frightening audio and visual
flashbacks that can overtake him or her during ordinary
situations like playing with children or washing a car. PTSD is
the fourth-ranking psychiatric disorder in the United States.
An estimated 1 out of 8 soldiers who will eventually return
from Iraq will suffer from PTSD-most often from having been
through multiple deployments and witnessing the carnage left by
suicide and roadside bombers. However the soldiers themselves
are not the only victims: Family members will also be affected
by their soldier's PTSD. Particularly if their soldier avoids
social situations and other activities he previously enjoyed.
Although I was never in the armed forces, I am a survivor of
PTSD who can offer tips to soldiers with that problem and their
families. As a woman raped at gunpoint by strangers, I often
experienced flashbacks in which I heard the voice of the rapist
when I was at work or washing dishes at home. There were six
steps that helped me cope with PTSD, which I would like to share
with you:
1. If you have never talked about your PTSD experience with
anyone you should do so by finding a place in which you feel
safe and a person with whom you will feel safe confiding. In
that safe place with your confidant at your side, scream, cry
and vent as fully as you can, holding nothing back.
2. Seek treatment as soon as possible from a specialist in PTSD
such as a therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist. Only a
specialist can help you effectively deal with the symptoms you
may be experiencing. In addition to flashbacks, these might
include nightmares, depression, insomnia and feelings of
hopelessness and social isolation. The specialist may suggest
medication that may be helpful. The worst mistake PTSD suffers
can make is trying to go it alone. Attempting to do so may cause
you to remain stuck in this nightmare for your entire life.
Remember that there is nothing manly about refusing to get help.
Soldiers can seek help at Walter Reed Medical Hospital or do a
Google search to find a local person who specializes in the
disorder.
3. Join a group therapy support group. Your specialist may
refer you to such a group that puts you in contact with others
who are going through the same process. By listening to their
stories and sharing your own you will understand that you are
not alone.
4. Look for other ways to let off steam. Exercise, paint, dance
or keep a journal of your thoughts. I kept a journal for eight
years and eventually turned it into a book. Even if you don't
feel like it, make yourself socialize. Go to picnics and family
gatherings and try to resume old hobbies. Don't isolate
yourself.
5. Put your PTSD into perspective. Even if you take all the
steps I have outlined, you may find that you continue to have
some episodes of nightmares, anger, fear or depression. But as
those symptoms ease, you may be ready to move on to the stage in
which you accept that this horrible thing happened to you but
does not define your life. You have talked it out, let it out
and put it in perspective. You are ready to move on.
6. Volunteer to help others with PTSD. When you have reached
the stage of acceptance and forgiveness you may feel ready to
help others who are not as far along as yourself in recovering
from PTSD. This is the stage I am currently in. I welcome you to
join me there.
Susan Lee-Titus understands PTSD intimately. She was brutally
raped at gunpoint by two men who burst into her dance studio and
for years endured frequent flashbacks of that memory. Susan is
an author, speaker, dancer and communications and media
specialist. She is the founder of Joy Dancers, a prison outreach
program that teaches aerobic dance to female inmates as an
outlet for anger and stress. Her new book is "The Dancer
Returns: From Victim to Victory."

A pay per click report will inform you of how many visitors you
have had to your website, what keyword they used to get there,
and some monitor how long they were there. These reports can be
daily, weekly, or monthly. There are free pay per click services
however they do not give you all the information that you can
get from a paid service.
Companies mainly use a monthly report on the traffic to their
websites. In order to utilize the pay per click service to it's
utmost ability, they must report data from web marketing as well
as other crucial information. This will allow the user to
examine their marketing strategies to decide if they are
working.
Some pay per click companies put a tracking code in your
website to monitor sales. How many customers have signed in and
what they are interested in is also tracked. Most will prepare a
report that is easy to understand. It will contain information
about the sales generated by the people using pay per click,
visitor breakdown, and anything else they think is of particular
interest to the website owner.
The benefits of using pay per click are invaluable to companies
that want to use their website to generate more income for the
company. With so many people having access to the internet, it
is the number one way that customers seek and find the company
that they want to use for their needs. These reports will allow
you to see how well your company is doing by how many internet
visitors you have each day.
One of the benefits of using a pay per click report is the
tracking of keyword use. When advertising your business,
keywords are used to direct traffic to your website. When you
use pay per click the reports you get will show which keywords
worked the best and which ones you need to replace. A good
keyword will have more hits on it and the keywords with the
least hits means you need to find another. By doing this you
will know the difference.
The reports can show you how to optimise your initial web site
page to get more visitors. There are certain items that people
look for when going to a web page. With the reports from pay per
click, the ones that work the best will be suggested so you can
get the most from your website.
Pay per click reports can help you to know for sure how many
people have logged into your website. It is the best way to be
aware of just how well your advertising is doing. You could
advertise in the newspaper, on a billboard, or by direct mail
but how are you going to know the number of people who have seen
your advertisement? Plain and simply, you are not.
By using pay per click you will know the exact number of visits
to your website. This report will become an important tool to
help you make the most of your web page and give you the
knowledge you need to optimise the site you use for generating
income.

Healthy Grains: Brown Rice and Rice Bran
When thinking of healthy foods does brown rice or rice bran
come to mind? It is common for us to have a list of
favored healthy foods; our favorite fruits and vegetables;
skinless white meat chicken; yogurt and low fat cheese.
Then there is that list of foods that brown rice may be on.
The list of foods one knows is healthy like brown rice or
rice bran and maybe they'll try it one day; or not.
Healthy grains like brown rice or rice bran are usually on
this list.
Consciously, the choice is made for white rice instead of
brown rice; processed baked goods instead of something with
perhaps a healthy grain like rice bran on the ingredient
list.
We opt out of the chewy texture and nutty flavor of a
natural whole grain item like brown rice; or the unexpected
sweetness of a rice bran product? If you had a choice and
were ordering take out, would you look on the menu for
brown rice? Would you go out of your way to inquire if
brown rice were available at your local Asian restaurant?
I'm not talking about the fried rice that just happens to
be brown from the cooking and seasoning process; I'm
talking about unadulterated brown rice.
Hopefully we haven't lost something in the low-carb
revolution; the part of the message about needing grains
like brown rice in our diets to aid in digestion; fight
constipation; control blood pressure; and perhaps lower LDL
cholesterol in the fight against heart disease.
In addition brown rice provides our bodies with healthy
nutrients like magnesium, phosphorus, copper, thiamin,
niacin, fiber, iron and vitamin B-6. Brown rice is a staple
with other healthy grains in vegetarian and macrobiotic
diets for these nutrients. It also has three quarters more
dietary fiber than white rice.
The benefits of whole grains may not mean that every
individual on the planet needs to follow the recommended
guidelines.
Individuals seeking medical attention for diabetes or
allergies may receive special nutritional advice from
professionals regarding their diet. However adding the
right mix of vegetables and healthy grains to your diet is
smart eating.
No doubt your taste buds will need some time to adjust.
Make your brown rice selection with care. Check labels to
ensure a freshness packing date. Since brown rice hasn't
been through the same processes as white rice the
expiration date may not be as lengthy. Stale brown rice
will taste rancid and shouldn't be eaten.
Make the transition of adding brown rice or rice bran to
your diet a slow process. Gradually swap out processed
foods for a smart food like brown rice and rice bran. Read
ingredient labels; find whole grain breads that list rice
bran in the first few ingredients.
Ask your favorite Asian restaurant if they serve brown rice
in place of white rice. Mix it with white rice in a
favorite recipe like stuffed peppers until you're used to
the nutty whole grain goodness of the brown rice on its
own. In no time your taste buds will be thanking you.
